AN: If you know, you know. And if you don't, that's okay too.

A prominent fashion house was running a new campaign for their upcoming spring collection. They'd booked three models, and he was one of them. Chigiri arrived at the studio, ready for the next step in his budding career. The glitz and glam was so far removed from the dark hopeless life he'd been living a year ago that he could hardly believe it. My building catching on fire really was the best thing that ever happened to me. He knew he'd have none of this without Kunigami.

He assumed the other models would be unknowns like himself, but that wasn't the case. He was shocked to see that his co-workers on this shoot would be the idol Nagi Rokuya and the actor Takato Saijo. Both of them were well known for modelling work as well as entertainment. Oh my God! I think this means I've made it!

He squashed down his nerves and stepped forward, going all fanboy now would be totally lame.

"Hello. My name is Hyoma Chigiri," he bowed. "It's an honour to work with you both. I hope I can learn from you."

"Hello!" Nagi smiled brightly. "It's always wonderful to work with someone new."

"I loved your work on the Gukki campaign," Chigiri told him because it was true. "The duality was powerful."

"Thank you!" Nagi smiled. "It was one of my favourites too."

Takato wasn't quite as approachable, but he was a consummate professional, and getting to work with him was valuable. Chigiri learned a lot by just watching how he conducted himself, both in terms of modelling and how he interacted with others on set. He had been in the industry for twenty years after all.

During a break, Chigiri got a chance to chat with Nagi some more. His idol group was currently enjoying a lot of success, and he was a wealth knowledge about all the things a celebrity had to deal with. Not that Chigiri was famous, but he had been recognised a couple of times, and it could be a little awkward.

After the shoot, Chigiri waited out the front of the building for Kunigami. Now that they had a car, Kunigami liked to pick him up if he wasn't working, and it was definitely nicer than the train, not that there was anything wrong with trains except that Kunigami wasn't there.

Takato was waiting out front too, when Kunigami pulled up.

"You have a stalker too?" the actor said.

"Oh no, not a stalker. Kunigami's my boyfriend."

Takato looked shocked.

"You shouldn't say that if you want to make it in this business."

"I appreciate the advice, but I won't hide it. I love him more than my job. I hope we get to work together again, Saijo."

He climbed into the car beside Kunigami.

"Was that who I think it was?"

Chigiri sunk back in his seat and let out a long breath.

"Yeah. Japan's second sexiest man. He was on my shoot today. Nagi Rokuya too."

"Seriously? That's awesome! You're really nailing this, huh?"

"Let's see how the campaign turns out first."

"I have faith in you."

He gave Kunigami a smile, knowing that Kunigami really meant that.

"Come here…"

He pulled Kunigami in and pressed a kiss to his lips.

"What was that for?"

"Just because…" Chigiri smiled, sinking back in his seat again. People talked about love being all floaty and tingly but it wasn't like that for him. It was actually the opposite, it grounded him and made him feel calm when everything else was swirling around him. I feel at ease when he's beside me.

That night they went over to Yuuko's for dinner.

"Guess who I met today?" Chigiri said to Reina, knowing she was a fan of Nagi's group. "Nagi from IDOLiSH7." He held out his phone to show her a selfie, expecting her to be excited, but she just nodded. He shared a look with Kunigami, who was as clueless as he was. Yuuko seemed baffled too.

After dinner Reina went to her room and they asked Yuuko what was going on.

"I don't know. She's been down for a little while now. I thought seeing you guys might cheer her up. I think something must have happened at school."

That made sense, it could be tough being a kid. But Chigiri knew bottling didn't help, and he hated to think of Reina suffering alone.

"I'm gonna go talk to her," he decided. Thinking it might be easier for her to tell someone she wasn't afraid of disappointing like she might be with her mother.

He found her in her room, listening to an IDOLiSH7 CD.

"Hey, Reina. Nagi's group is pretty great, huh? What's your favourite song?"

"I don't know…"

He sat down on the floor beside her and picked up the CD case, looking over the cover photo of Nagi and his groupmates. They all looked so bright and sparkly.

"Whose your favourite member?"

Reina just shrugged. Trying to coax her to talk didn't seem to be working so maybe he just needed to ask.

"What's wrong, Reina? You seem upset. Is it about your papa?"

She shook her head.

"Did something happen at school?"

He waited for a while but she didn't answer.

"You know you can talk to me, right? Even if it's something you can't tell your mama, because you and me, we're friends right? And I'll tell you a secret. When you and I first met, I was sad. I didn't know how to stop being sad and then I met you, and you told me I had pretty hair. You remember that? You let me braid your hair for you and for the first time in a long time, I wasn't sad anymore. You see this smile?" he said, giving her a bright one. "It's because of you. So if you're sad now, let me help you smile again, okay?"

She was looking up at him with big amber eyes, and then she climbed onto his lap, looking for comfort. He wrapped her up in a tight hug.

"Tell me what it is, Reina. So you don't have to be sad anymore."

He stopped talking then, to give her a chance to think it all over. He'd sit here all night if he had to.

She twirled a strand of his hair around her finger for a while, until eventually her soft voice broke the silence.

"My friends don't believe me."

He waited but had to ask when she didn't offer more.

"About what?"

"That you're my ojisan."

For a second he wondered why that would matter, but then he remembered her excitement over the billboards. She's upset because of me. He felt awful that he was the cause of this, but he needed to fix it for her. He could feel sorry for himself later. How do I make this better?

"You know what? I'm gonna come pick you up from school one day this week. Then they'll have to believe you. How's that?"

"Really?"

"Really."

"Yeah!"

"I love you," he told her, squeezing her tight. "Next time something is bothering you, you tell me, okay?"

"Okay," she agreed. "Oji Chigiri?"

"Yeah?"

"Can I see that picture of you and Nagi again?"

"Sure," he smiled, pulling his phone out. They both looked at the selfie, it was a fun one Nagi had insisted on. "Nagi was really nice. And soon there's gonna be pictures of me and Nagi all over the city. The kids at school will think that's pretty cool, right?"

"Yeah, once they meet you. When are you coming to school?"

"I'm not sure. Let's go ask your mama which day is best."

"Okay!" Reina agreed excitedly, leading the way.

"Mama, Mama! Oji Chigiri is gonna pick me up from school one day so all the others will see he's my ojisan! Okay?! Which day?! He said you have to say the best one! So which one, Mama?!"

It was a lot and Yuuko looked at him for an explanation.

"Reina told her friends that I was on the billboards but they didn't believe she knows me, so I thought I could pick her up one day and meet them all. If that's okay with you?"

Yuuko agreed and they set a date, which put Reina in a much better mood for the rest of the evening.

As they were leaving he felt Reina tug on his shirt again, reminding him of the first day he met her.

"Oji Chigiri? If you ever feel sad, you can braid my hair again."

She looked so serious when she said that. He loved her so much.

"Thanks, Reina," he said, patting her head. "I'll see you after school on Friday. Okay?"

"Yeah," she grinned.

On the drive home, Kunigami broke the silence.

"You were amazing tonight, Chigiri."

"No, I caused her problems. Reina is the amazing one. Did you hear her as we were leaving?"

"Yeah, what was that about?"

"I figured if I wanted her to open up I had to do the same, so I told her the truth. That I was sad until I met her, and that she changed that. Guess she takes after you, huh? Six years old and she's already a hero."

When Kunigami didn't reply, Chigiri looked over, catching a glimpse of tears shining in his eyes as they passed a streetlight.

"Hey, are you crying?"

"No," Kunigami fibbed, scrubbing the back of his hand across his cheek. Chigiri reached over and took that hand, bringing it to his lips and tasting the salt there.

"Liar."

Kunigami flicked the indicator on and pulled over into a side street. He turned the engine off and just sat there for a moment, then covered his face with his arm.

"Hey…" Chigiri said, reaching over to touch Kunigami's shoulder.

"I'm sorry, I know I'm being stupid, I don't know why this is hitting me so hard."

"That's obvious. Because you love her."

"I do. My family is so important to me and I guess tonight just showed me you're really a part of it now."

"Stop it, you're gonna make me cry too."

Kunigami looked over at him with such raw emotion.

"And I guess I realised you guys would be okay if I wasn't here."

Of course thoughts like that would cross Kunigami's mind considering the dangerous nature of his job.

"Hey, that's totally not true, but I get what you mean. You're not the only connection between us now. I love Reina. I'll always do my best to take care of her."

"I know, and that's a huge comfort to me."

"Hey, come here," Chigiri said, pulling Kunigami toward him as best he could in the confines of the car and squeezing him tight.

"I never thought I'd be part of a family again. Thank you."

Kunigami pulled back a little so they could rest their foreheads together.

"You've made mine complete."

They shared a kiss. It quickly grew in intensity, both of them wanting to be as close as they could, but it was awkward in the car. Chigiri leaned back and rolled his seat back as far as it would go.

"Get over here."

Kunigami was big, but he managed to climb over the console so he was pressed on top of Chigiri, and that weight pressing him down was an instant turn on. They locked mouths, kisses growing more heated.

Chigiri reached between them, plunging his hand into Kunigami's pants. Kunigami moaned into his mouth as Chigiri's fingers curled around him. It didn't take long for Kunigami get hard, and there was only one thing Chigiri could think about now.

"I want you inside me," he panted. "Now."

Kunigami shimmied his pants down for him enough that he could draw his knees up and expose his hole. Kunigami pulled his dick out and pushed it inside him. He whimpered with relief, loving the feeling of them being joined.

"Ah, ha..."

It was impossible to get a deep connection in this position, but Kunigami thrust into him, hard and fast, kissing him deep and messy too. They both finished quickly.

Kunigami shifted back, so Chigiri could pull his pants back up.

Kunigami climbed back into the driver's seat, and they both sat there catching their breath for a minute before Chigiri grinned over at him.

"Hey, it was about time we christened this car, don't ya think?"

Kunigami grinned back at him, then laughed with joy. That's better.
