Harriet knew she was forgetting something.

Something like a wolf always remembers his pup.

Which only dawned on her when Remus Lupin stepped into the Siren's Muse. His eyes focusing on her, speaking in an undertone, "pup" only for his friend James Potter to hear him and shift his gaze toward her. Eyes narrowing very similarly to how Lord Black's had before he stomped over and grabbed Harriet by the arm.

"Explain."

"Perhaps we could reconvene in our private parlor."

A low growl came from Lupin as his eyes flashed amber, "You are hurting her, James."

When they were situated in the parlor and tea was served, James dismissed her offer of tea.

"My best friend says there's a suspicious woman who runs the new cafe in Diagon Alley. I discover my wife making weekly visits there, coming back the happiest I've seen her in more than a decade and now my other best friend calls you, pup. Anything you'd like to tell me, Lady Ravenclaw."

Things were coming to a head, and Harriet wasn't sure she could continue evading.

Lupin's eyes were still golden watching every move she made.

"You wouldn't believe me if I told you."

Lord Potter crossed his arms, "Try me."

Harriet sighed before deciding to start at the beginning of it all.

"What do you know of alter dimensions?"

Lupin whose gaze was no longer glowing gold spoke, "Hypothetical at best."

"Well they do exist there are just rules or guidelines to what passes from one to the next. In another life I had a different last name but my first and my looks were very similar to a male counterpart in another dimension. He wished to escape his apocalyptic world, tired of being used as a hero for a dying world. His wish was to go to a simpler time, a simpler world. His wish was granted, and he switched places with me."

James Potter was still staring Harriet down but Lupin was engaging, "What was his name?"

She took a sip of her tea before speaking, "Harry Potter." Deciding she might as well continue, "I gained his memories, and I was sent back in time. I became a newborn again."

"You expect me to believe..." James sputtered.

"Lily always thought she was going to have a boy." Lupin spoke up, "She was so surprised when..." His gaze met hers and she nodded. "But that would mean..."

"I was 24 when I switched places with Harry Potter." She continued, "When the prophecy was told by Dumbledore, I realized that things very well could end up just like Harry's previous timeline with his parents dead, him abused by his aunt and raised up for the slaughter for the greater good. So I ran away."

"How? You were barely two." James looked wide eyed and absolutely gutted.

"Magic." I traced the rim of the teacup, "I was able to reach majority with the help of the goblins and the rest I'm sure Lord Black has informed you regarding. His information gathering skills were quite thorough."

James Potter looked speechless, he glanced up, "Does Lily know?"

"I highly believe she suspects much. I've never lied to her." Standing, "Now gentleman I believe that enough for today. You may return again and ask me more questions on another day."

"I'll bring Lily."

Harriet nodded, "I expected as much."
