Story of the past

Knowing that I got myself reincarnated into a world where a thing called magic exists did cause my adult mind to regress a little to the moment where my childish mind still dominated the processing of my thoughts.

Too bad for me, because the moment I realized the name of this world that I am currently in, every prospect of doing many wonderful things that I had planned suddenly got drained to the endless void beyond

At least I am not starting from an absolute zero when it comes to the magical side of this world. Because I got myself reincarnated as the sole son of a high-rank devil couple who rules one of the devil territories in the underworld.

Since I do not need to worry about food, clothes, and a place to stay. I decided to focus on myself to get myself stronger. Starting by learning the primary magic that my current self can use, the devil's magic.

My parents are high-ranking devils who got themselves promoted from mere lower-class devils.

Thanks to the experience they have gathered to achieve their position, they own lots of tricks and trades that I can learn for myself. After all, those who pave their way from nothing are better than those who receive everything from the moment of their birth.

My parents also happened to be easy-going individuals. As long as I keep my manner in place, they are more than willing to fulfill anything that I ask of them.

However, I mostly ask them about the usage of the devil's magic itself rather than asking about anything that requires money. All in all, I got my basic needs fulfilled, and I can concentrate on getting myself stronger in my way.

Now the question is how do I get myself stronger?

A few ideas come into my mind when it comes to strengthening myself. However, after realizing the puny amounts and potency of my demonic energy, I decided to skip any process that required the usage of a large amount of demonic energy.

I also abandon any idea that requires the usage of sacred gear because sacred gear attracts too much attention. I also did not possess a single idea of how to extract them in the first place. A knowledge that only the fallen angel possesses, and approaching a fallen angel with this weak self of mine is a suicide attempt.

Also, my parents come from a civilian devil, and that means no bloodline trait.

After checking everything that seems dangerous and unviable to use, I come to a single conclusion that I can use to make myself stronger.

Sage Technique, or can be called Senjutsu.

A technique that can be used to control the flow of life within oneself and one surroundings. This technique requires the usage of the world energy that fills the world itself.

By absorbing the world's energy into one body, the practitioner of this art can strengthen their physical body. Both outside and the inside to an unbelievable level. However there are a few drawbacks when using this technique, but the good side is way more tempting than the bad side.

Another question did appear in my mind.

Can I even practice Senjutsu without any basic training?

That is where the devil's magic comes from.

A devil's magic allows the devil to control certain phenomena with their imagination and sense of creation. That means if I imagine and construct it solid enough inside my mind, I should be able to create a simple magic that can assist me in learning Senjutsu.

For example, I can use my demonic energy to heighten my physical senses to help me sense the surrounding world's energy.

After testing it a little bit, and to my surprise, it works. After successfully familiarizing myself with touch and channeling the world's energy into my body, I decided to create another magic to further my progress

This time it is magic that will allow me to automatically gather the world's energy into my body.

After a bit of tinkering with the first magic that I created, I managed to make a new magic that can automatically gather the world's energy into my devil's tail and devil's wings.

Although it confused me why it ended up gathered into my devil appendages. As long as it works, I decided to leave it alone.

It took me a whole year to create these two magic that I can use to assist me in learning Senjutsu. But in the end, it is worth the time and effort.

Once I reach the age of six, I have begun to integrate the world's energy to strengthen my physical growth. I am sure that I can reach the rank of an ultimate-class devil with my physical prowess alone in ten years or so.

This progress will help me to slowly learn the usage to control and bend the energy of life itself to my will. It will also help me to learn a few useful applications of the world energy itself such as healing, sensing the presence of the other, concealing my presence, and using it in the form of Touki.

What about the world's malice?

Usually, the practitioner of the Senjutsu will separate the world's malice that is contained within the world's energy and expel it from their body. In my case, I am doing the exact opposite of what they usually do. Because I am going to consume the world's malice itself to strengthen myself.

Why?

Because the world's energy and the world's malice are the two sides of the same coin. The world's energy is something that is produced by the physical aspect of the world itself to nourish life on this planet. While the world's malice itself represents the will of the world to protect the world's energy from anyone who tries to take it to themselves.

Why did I absorb the world's malice with my Senjutsu?

When I let the world's malice enter my body, it immediately affects and harms my mind and slowly causes me to lose myself. Knowing this, I immediately stopped the world's malice from entering my body further before it ended up leaving a permanent change in my body

However, I also realize that I can use the world's malice to strengthen my mental capability. Probably reaching the level where the world's malice itself is unable to cause any harm to my mind. Granting me a solid resistance against any harmful attack or affliction that may harm my mind.

Other than that, this experience also gave me a slight idea to create a new magic. A magic that will allow me to turn the world's malice itself into nourishment for my demonic energy

How does it work?

I do not know, it just works. That is why it is called devil's magic.

After all of those studies and experiments. I have safely created my source of energy that can help me to grow stronger as more time passes. Starting from my physical strength, mental strength, and demonic energy.

Now that I have gotten myself a large amount of demonic energy in my reserve. Of course, the first thing that I will do is to create a few useful magic for myself.

I thought to myself about what kind of magic that I need.

I ended up choosing to create magic that can increase my mental processing capacities and mental processing capabilities.

After a small testing and experiment, I successfully created something that I called [Parallel Thought] and [Accelerated Thought].

Parallel Thought is magic that allows me to split and separate my mind into multiple layers of thought. Allowing me to do multiple tasks at once without decreasing the processing capabilities of the other layer.

Since I managed to strengthen my mental fortitude after absorbing the world's malice. I found out that I can easily split and control my thoughts without any problem. So easy that I can add one layer of thought in just a month.

As for the other one.

Accelerated thought is another simple magic and technique that I created for myself. It increases my thought processing to the limit of what my body can handle.

Normally this magic should possess a limit due to the fragility of my brain. But since Senjutsu strengthens my organ as well, It allows me to bypass the normal range of the devil race itself and push myself to the limit.

After I had finished creating these two new magic for my mind, I stopped myself from creating another magic and focused on using everything that I gained over a few years. Because I will need to strengthen myself to a certain degree before I try to create something even more powerful.

Another thing that I need to do is to fulfill my duty as a young devil from a family with a high-ranking devil as the family head. That duty consisted of studying things that the noble devils need to know and need to do. Such as possessing a general knowledge about the devil society and the devil race itself.

Thanks to my [Parallel Thought] and [Accelerated Thought], I can easily learn everything that I have been taught without any difficulties. After my parents saw my progress. I asked them to let me take a homeschool instead of going to a school like a normal devil.

There is no way that I am wasting my time going to school when I have already learned and finished the high-school course with my private study alone.

At first, my parents worried that I wouldn't have any friends around my age if I kept acting like this, but they decided to give up and let me do whatever I wanted since it may disturb my growth if they kept pushing their will on me. I guess this is also a perk of being an only child.

In the end, I got myself a certain level of freedom to do as I please for a few years. But I still keep myself away from creating any more magic.

I instead choose to hone my control over my demonic energy and the world's energy within my body. I also began my study with the basics of the devil's magic that my parents could teach me.

Practice makes perfect and perfect skills lead to perfect results.

Eight years have passed since I began to strengthen myself with the world's energy by using Senjutsu. At the same time, I also discovered the meaning of the limit imposed on those who did not possess powerful demonic energy at the moment they were born.

If you were born without a powerful demonic energy. You can forget your chance to reach the level of an ultimate-class devil in terms of the strength of your demonic energy. Because it is simply impossible to do so.

Why?

Because the only way a devil can reach the level of an ultimate rank is either born with a powerful demonic energy or use something called the evil pieces.

As proof, no devil in history ever reached the ultimate class level outside of those who were born from the noble clans.

Even if they reach the ultimate class, they are either assisted by the evil pieces or affiliated by blood from one of the noble clans that ever existed, or even worse, using the sacred gear to boost their limit.

As for me, I have reached the limit of my current growth as a devil. Both in terms of physical capabilities and magical capabilities.

I hate it. I hate it so much. Even after finding something that could make me stronger, I ended up shackled by the limit of my flesh.

But I did not give up.

Using my [Parallel Thought] that has separated into ninety-six layers. I began to think about a solution that I could use to break the limit of my flesh. In the end, there are a few solutions that I can think of.

First is by using the data of super-devil experiments created by the Nebiros clan. But after remembering the location of this thing and my inability to extract the data. I discarded this idea.

The second is by becoming a member of someone's peerage. If I show them my current strength as a high-class devil, I am sure that they will let me join their servants.

Not to mention that If I pick that girl as my King, I can also try to get the first option as a safety measure.

But I decided to discard this idea too because serving someone means less freedom and secrecy for me.

Finally the third, and last choice is to reconstruct my body.

In the end, my physical body is the one that limits my growth. If using Senjutsu is not enough to break my limit, then I should be able to break it by using external stimulation.

As for how I am planning to do so. I can use something that will slowly break my body, and I will use my healing from my Senjutsu to make sure I survive the whole process.

No pain, no gain.

My demonic energy and healing skills are already powerful enough to keep me safe from breaking myself into pieces. All that is left is to find something powerful enough to slowly break my body down without instantly killing me in the process.

Where is the best place to do this?

At first, I am planning to use the dimensional gap to do this stunt. But after thinking about it a little more, I decided to change the location toward the bottom of the ocean in the human world.

If the oppressive pressure of the bottom of the ocean is not enough, I will bathe myself in molten lava. If that is also not enough, I will enter a few hazardous terrains in the human world or a few dangerous locations in the underworld. If that is still not enough, I will bathe myself using a pool of holy water while surrounded by an array of holy magic.

But if everything else has failed, I will use the dimensional gap to break the limit of my physical body. Because the dimensional gap is both the most effective and the safest place for me to do my stunt

One year has passed since I successfully broke the limit of my flesh and evolved into a devil with the power of an ultimate-class devil. Both in terms of physical strength and demonic energy. I dare to say that I am proud of myself for reaching my step this far.

As for the process itself

All I can say is the process isn't exactly pleasant to remember when considering I need to do everything step by step.

Starting from sinking myself to the bottom of the Mariana Trench, bathing myself in molten lava, walking naked on the east Antarctica plateau, having a picnic in the middle of hazardous nuclear waste, sinking myself in a pool of holy water, and finally tormenting myself with the crushing pressure of the dimensional gap.

Is the result worth the effort?

Hell yeah it does

Because right now, If I am serious, I can sink an entire nation by using a fully charged demonic energy of mine. I am also probably capable of killing a divine-class being if they lower their guard down. Perhaps subduing a great dragon king is also possible for my current strength.

Although my growth in physical strength and demonic energy did fill my head with pride, those two things are not the best achievement that I managed to achieve after reaching this far. Because after reaching the realm of the ultimate class being, I managed to let myself touch the boundary of the conceptual realm.

Unlike the pure-blood devil who got locked away from choosing anything unrelated to their bloodline, I am free to choose and form any kind of conceptual power that I want. As long as I can gather enough material and knowledge to form one.

Take Sirzech Gremory for an example. Thanks to the immense level of demonic energy that he acquired from birth, he possesses no difficulty touching the boundary of the conceptual realm. Not to mention the power of destruction that he inherited from his mother. Something that helps him to have an easier time reaching the concept of destruction.

But at the same time, Sirzech will be forever locked from learning any conceptual realm outside of the concept of destruction. The same thing will happen to every devil who is born from the family of the noble clans.

The same case is also implemented in the angel and fallen angel. In their case, it was even worse or straight-up impossible for them to touch the boundary of the conceptual realm.

Why?

Both angel and fallen angels are a creature that requires blessing from their creator to ascend into a higher form of power. Since their creator has kicked the bucket, I guess they will stuck as discarded children of heaven and a group of orphans who inherited their daddy's home for themselves.

Back to my progress.

At my current strength, I can't form even a single complete concept. Let alone trying to create and form a multiple number of concepts into my possession.

However, my current level of power is enough to make things easier for me to gather the necessary tools and material to evolve myself even higher. I currently consider myself standing at the start of a new goal of mine. This time, I am aiming to become a conceptual being that surpasses even that red dragon in the dimensional gap.

It will take time and effort to gather everything that I need. But my knowledge about this world should be enough to help me to direct toward my destination.

In the meantime, I will continue to improvise myself some more.

Another year has passed after I reached the level of an ultimate-class devil, and my strength continues to grow without showing any sign of stopping soon.

By breaking the limit of my flesh, the amount of the world's energy and the world's malice that my body can take has been greatly increased. It means that other than my physical limit, my demonic energy has been immensely improved as well.

These changes also allow me to greatly increase the number of layers of my [Parallel Thought] and the processing capabilities of my [Accelerated Thought].

At this moment, I am capable of processing at least one thousand different things at once. If I combine it with my demonic magic and Senjutsu, I am more than capable of doing what a divine being can do with their divinity to a certain degree.

I am now also capable of surviving and withstanding the crushing pressure of the dimensional gap without using any magic for a whole day. This feat can be compared to a human who can survive diving into the bottom of the ocean for a whole day without using any proper equipment.

My control over my demonic energy and the world's energy has also been greatly increased as well.

But the best progress that I can get is the new magic that I have created again for myself. A few magic that I created by upgrading a few basic magic from the devil's magic itself.

In the end, I got myself stronger and prepared to a certain degree If calamity ever came to me. But I never thought that calamity would come to my parents instead.

Because after I celebrated my 17th birthday with my family and everyone in the town, someone decided to put an end to my parent's life. Bringing me out from my secluded lifestyle and putting me in front of the test that has been presented in front of me.

Will I back down?

The younger version of me will surely back down and run.

But with my current strength?
