April Showers Bring May Flowers-Ch 32
Over the next several weeks Derek healed more and more and was soon released to go back to work at a job he loved because he loved saving people and making the people that had hurt them pay for it.
While Derek and Penelope had been enjoying their honeymoon Kevin had been sentenced to a total of 35 years without the possibility of parole for everything that he had done to Derek and Penelope and when they found out they couldn't have been happier about it because he was out of their lives and couldn't hurt them anymore.
Derek and Penelope had now been married for almost 3 months and they were settling into their married lives wonderfully and things were flowing so great for them with them working at the BAU and spending time alone and being able to spend time with their amazing family so right their lives were close to perfect.
Penelope had just walked through the front door of the home she shared with her husband when a wave of nausea rolled over her, she covered her mouth with her hand and ran for one of the downstairs bathrooms where she dropped to her knees by the toilet and emptied the contents of her stomach into said toilet.
She was still in the floor a few minutes later when Derek had arrived home, he'd stopped at the store to pick up things for dinner and when he heard Penelope call his name from the bathroom his heart started racing, had she fallen, was she sick, he didn't know but he had to find her and see her with his own two eyes.
He ran into the bathroom and saw her wiping her very pale face and he dropped down beside her and said, "sweetness, what's wrong?", she said, "sorry hotstuff, I'm nauseous, soooo nauseous right now", he said, "let's get you to the ER and get you checked out okay, this way we will know what's going on?", she nodded her head yes and allowed her husband to help her up out of the floor.
A few minutes later they were sitting in a cubicle in the ER waiting for the doctors to get the results of her bloodwork and urine test, the doctor mentioned several things, one of which was a possible kidney infection so that was what Derek and Penelope were thinking was wrong with her.
When the doctor walked into the room she smiled and said, "well I have the results of your tests", Penelope said, "was it a kidney infection like you mentioned?", she said, "no, no, everything was fine there except one thing, it was the same thing that was wrong with your bloodwork".
Derek looked at Penelope and then they both looked at the doctor and she said, "in both your HCG is elevated", Derek said, "HCG, what's that?", the doctor smiled again and said,
"congratulations Mrs. Morgan. you're pregnant, around 12 weeks along", the now smiling couple looked at each other and then the doctor and back to each other as the news of them becoming parents started sinking in.
