Hello everyone, and today, let's pick at Drake's brain, shall we?
Season 3.5 Opening (Caught in a Dream by All Insane Kids/Dial Zero)(I don't own the song)
We start at the Agreste Mansion in early morning, where we see Hestia talking to Gabriel in the latter's atelier.
"What?! Drake knows who Ladybug and Cat Noir are?!" Gabriel shouted in shock.
"Yes. He saw them detransform when they were effected by Oblivio's attack." Hestia explained.
Gabriel then gained a excited look. "That's perfect! If we can get the information from him, the Miraculous will be ours! Perhaps I could create a Akuma-!"
"NO!" Hestia shouted, startling Gabriel a bit. "I told you no harm will come to my son, and I mean it!"
"Look Hestia, if I could just make a villain that could-!" Gabriel started, only to be silenced by Hestia's dark glare.
"Read my lips. NO." She said in a dark tone. "I'll still have an ear out in case he let's their identities slip, but under no circumstance are we forcing the information out of Drake."
And with that, Hestia storms off.
Gabriel lets out an annoyed grunt. "Shame. If I can just extract Ladybug and Cat Noir's identities from Drake's head, the Miraculous would've been mine."
What no one noticed was that Nathalie was listening in from the other room.
"...Perhaps we can." She muttered to herself. "I'll get those Miraculous for you sir, even if I have to pick at Drake's brain to do so." As she walks off, a small look of guilt forms on her face. "I don't like it, but this is a chance we can't ignore. I'm sorry Hestia, I hope you can forgive me for this."
Meanwhile, at the Firstbourne house, with Drake looking himself over.
The patch of scales on his right arm got bigger, but that wasn't the only problem. A matching patch was on his left arm, and a patch of darker purple scales were on his chest.
Add in the fact that his sharp nails kept growing despite Drake clipping them numerous times, the secret draconic hero was freaking out.
"What is happening to me?!" Drake shouted as he clips his nails, only to see them slowly grow back.
"Drake, you need to calm down." Cynder said.
"Calm down?! How can I calm down, when this is happening to me?!" Drake shouted before groaning in pain as he grabs his jaw.
Opening his mouth, Drake saw that his fangs had gotten bigger.
He couldn't help but let out a scream.
A while later, Drake was walking to school, wearing a purple, long sleeve sweatshirt to hide his scale patches, as a bandage was no longer going to cover it.
"Are you sure about this?" Spyro asked as he and Cynder peek out of the sweatshirt's front pockets.
"The best I could come up with on short notice." Drake replied.
That's when Chrys walks up to him.
"Hey Drake." She greeted before noticing his attire. "It's a light warm for a sweatshirt."
"Just felt like wearing it. Plus, I can handle a little heat." Drake said with a shrug. That's when the bell rang. "Better get to class."
"Care to lead the way?" Chrys asked in a joking tone while holding an arm out.
"Well, I was taught to be a gentleman." Drake replied in the same tone as he held his arm.
Linking arms, the two walked into the school.
A couple hours later, in a alleyway near the school, Mayura plucks a feather from her fan.
"Too late to back out now." She mutter to herself as she turns the feather into a Amok. She then places the Amok into the Eiffel Tower keychain that she used to create her Sentimonster Ladybug.
A cloud of dark blue magic erupted up onto the street. It soon lifts, revealing the Sentimonster.
At first glance, two things instantly stood out. First off, it was huge! Being 50 feet (Roughly 15 meters) tall! Second, it looks completely and utterly bizarre!
It's lower body was shaped like a human brain with four crustation-like legs that was a mixture of pink, rustic red, and gunmetal in color. In between the legs were a pair of four-digit hand like wings that had puke green webbing in between the 'fingers'.
The upper body resembled a human torso with chest armor that was puke green and aquamarine in color that sprouted various tubes and wires . It's arms were rustic red, and various electrical nodes, as well as a few wires and tubes, scattered across them. It's right hand was mechanical, the palm being puke green with gunmetal claws, and it had a tube planted in the back of it. It's left hand, however, was a aquamarine pincher claw.
And finally, the head. It was rustic red in color, and it barely resemble a human head. However, it didn't have a lower jaw, instead having two gunmetal tusks and a couple of wires. Numerous baby blue tendrils sprouted out of the back of the head, make them resemble hair. Last, but certainly not least, it had pupilless, gunmetal eyes that had no life within them.
The psychotic brain picker, Cerebro Beast!
The sentimonster let's out a banshee-like scream, causing anyone who haven't fled from the sight of it to start running now.
As it's approaches the school, Mayura falls onto her knees, gasping. She then looks up at the sentimonster with horror.
"What did I just unleashed?"
Meanwhile, in Miss Bustier's classroom, class was wrapping up when everyone heard the sentimonster's scream.
That's when the wall and some roof got blown away. When the dust settles, everyone looks up to see Cerebro Beast.
The sentimonster gazes at the terrified students and teacher for a bit before letting out a scream.
Suddenly, they began levitating into the air, with Cerebro Beast grabbing the closest one, that be Juleka, with it's right hand and brings her close to it's face.
The girl could only stare in awe and fear as one of Cerebro Beast's tendril hairs slithers forward and presses itself on her forehead.
Suddenly, every memory Juleka has flashed in her mind. Once the forced trip through memory lane was over, Cerebro Beast let out a disappointed hum.
Putting Juleka on the ground, the sentimonster grabs the next closest person, Nino this time, and starts doing the same thing thing it did to Juleka.
"Juleka! Are you okay?!" Rose shouted as she drifts in the air.
"I-I'm fine." Juleka stammer as she got onto her feet. "I think... it went through my memories."
"What do you mean?" Marinette asked.
"When one of it's hair-things touched my forehead, I saw my life flash in my head, from my birth all the way to now." Juleka answered, placing her hand on her forehead with a dazed look.
Drake, Marinette, and Adrien gained panicked looks as they realized that Hawk Moth, Damselfly, and Mayura must've sent this thing to look for through Drake's memories in order to find out Ladybug and Cat Noir's identities.
Cerebro Beast then puts Nino down a disappointed hum before grabbing the person, that being Drake.
Once the sentimonster brings him close to it's face, a hair tendril slithers forward...
...Only for Drake to lunge forward and bite the tendril hard!
Cerebro Beast let's out a pain filled screech as everyone drops to the ground.
"Come on everyone, let's get out of here!" Ingrid shouted as she quickly got onto her feet.
Everyone else got onto their feet and ran to safety.
What no one noticed was that Chrys slithered out of sight.
Meanwhile, Drake clenched onto the tendril he bit onto while the sentimonster shook it's head violently, trying to shake the secret draconic hero off.
After a bit, the sentimonster whipped it's head back, causing Drake to be sent flying, where he crash landed on a nearby rooftop.
"...Not the best landing I had, but I had worse." Drake said as he got onto his feet. Dusting himself, Drake over to the school, where he saw Cerebro Beast lashing out in a violent manner. "Man... Hawk Moth, Damselfly, and Mayura must've really gone off the deep end to create something like that."
"I think we should be more concern with the fact it was designed to go after you." Spyro said as he and Cynder flew out of his sweatshirt pockets. "You heard what Juleka said, it looked trough her memories!"
"No doubt to learn who Ladybug and Cat Noir really are." Cynder said in agreement.
"So, they're trying to get the info right out from my brain, eh?" Drake asked himself as he gives Cerebro Beast a studying look. "I better be careful with this one. One wrong move, and Marinette and Adrien will be in trouble." Drake then takes a stance. "Henshin!" Once Spyro and Cynder were absorbed into his wristbands, Drake let's out a roar as he turns into Dragnarok. "Unleash the Dragon!"
Dragnarok takes off, no realizing that Chrys was secretly watching him.
"So Marinette and Adrien wield the Ladybug and Black Cat Miraculous, huh?" She muttered to herself as her eyes change to purple and yellow. "Is could be useful~."
Meanwhile, as everyone ran safety, Ombra and Chloe got separated from the group and hid in a nearby janitor's closet.
"Okay, I think we'll be safe for now." Ombra said as she peeks outside.
"Just what is that thing?!" Chloe asked in disgust.
"Seems to be a sentimonster." Ombra speculated. "Seeing that it has looked through Juleka's head, I think it was sent to see into Ladybug and Cat Noir's minds and learn their identities."
Chloe shuttered upon hearing the sentimonster's intrusive ability. "So what are we going to do?"
"Get to the others. I'll handle this." Ombra said.
"Okay, just don't get your brain picked." Chloe said.
Giggling, Ombra nodded as Chloe ran out. "Okay, let's do this! Spinni, Spines Outs!"
Turning into Echidna, she ran off to join the action.
Back with Dragnarok, he was busy with Cerebro Beast, who was surprisingly vicious, as it rapidly slashed at him, whipped at him with it's tendril hair, fired psychic blasts, and fling things psychically at him, not giving him any room to breath.
"Damn!" The draconic hero cursed as he dodges another claw swipe. "This thing won't let up!"
Cerebro Beast then prepares a psychic blast, having pink energy form between it's tusks. But just as it looks like it was about to fire, it dispels the energy and lashes a tendril out at the faked out draconic hero, wrapping him up.
Dragnarok struggled within the tendril's grip. Whenever he tried to use an elemental attack, the grip would tighten. Plus, there was also the fact that he didn't have the energy to do a Fury attack.
He was trapped.
The sentimonster let out a satisfied hum before having one of it's tendril hairs slither up to him.
But before it could touch him, a tomahawk soars by and slices the approaching tendril.
Cerebro Beast roared out in pain as it drops Dragnarok.
Getting back onto his feet, the draconic hero saw that it was Echidna, who catches the tomahawk boomeranging back to her.
"Looks like you owe me another one." She said in a joking tone.
"Indeed." Dragnarok replied with the same tone. He then noticed the sentimonster regenerating the severed tendril while the piece that was cut off melted into a puddle of goo. "Okay... Any idea on how to deal with this?"
"Other than not letting it see our memories, not much." Echidna said in a slightly sheepish tone.
Once Cerebro Beast was done nursing it's wound, it glares at Echidna. Suddenly, sprouting out of it's pincher hand was a chainsaw!
Revving the chainsaw, the sentimonster slashes at the two, forcing them to dodge.
"Okay, I think we made it mad." Dragnarok said as he dodges a psychic blast.
Meanwhile, at the Agreste mansion, Gabriel was on his computer, watching what was going on from a newscast.
"Nathalie, what were you thinking?" Gabriel asked in a disappointed tone. "And what inspired you to make a sentimonster that looks like that?"
That the Firstbourne house, Hestia was also watching the newscast, her left eye twitching violently.
Back with Dragnarok and Echidna, the two heroes continued to dodge to Cerebro Beast's relentless attacks.
"Man, this thing won't let up!" Dragnarok stated as he ducks under a psychic blast.
"Sky Descent!" A familiar voice shouted as a horizontal tornado hits Cerebro Beast, blowing the sentimonster back. Following the attacks origin, they saw Swallow, along with Siorc, Grizzly, Ladybug, and Cat Noir. "Hey guys!"
"Sorry we're late." Siorc apologized.
"No problem. Better late than never." Dragnarok said with a shrug.
The heroes then turn their attention to Cerebro Beast, who straighten itself out before glaring at them.
"Jeez, what made Mayura think this up?" Swallow asked. "Definitely the ugliest sentimonster yet."
Cerebro Beast actually seemed offended by that, as it's eyes widen before angerly screeching at the heroes, forcing them to cover their ears.
"And we just made it angrier..." Dragnarok muttered as the sentimonster's tendril hair began to glow pink.
With a screech of a banshee, it release pink-colored bolts of energy everywhere, obliterating any nearby building nearby.
It then aimed the tendrils at the heroes fired more energy bolts, sending them scattering.
"Tremor Sto-!" Grizzly shouted, about to activate his power, only to blasted by a psychic blast, sending him flying.
"Grizz-!" Siorc shouted, only to get hit by a psychic blast herself, sending her flying in Swallow.
Cat Noir rushes towards the sentimonster, ready to use his power. "Cata-!"
Only for Cerebro Beast to slap him aside, causing him to crash through a wall of a building.
"Cat Noir!" Ladybug cried out, not noticing a tendril slithering towards her.
"Ladybug!" Echidna and Dragnarok shouted.
But it was too late, as the tendril wraps around the spotted hero's throat, strangling her as she is raised into the air. Cerebro Beast then sends pink energy bolts down the tendril shocking Ladybug, causing her to let out croaking-like scream.
Stopping the stream of energy, Cerebro Beast let's out a cackle of sadistic glee as another tendril slithers towards Ladybug's forehead.
Echidna. in a panic, throws her tomahawk at Cerebro Beast, hitting the sentimonster's left eye.
It let out the biggest screech of pain anyone has ever heard.
The sentimonster flings Ladybug aside as it tries to get the tomahawk out of it's eye. Once it does, it's eye was sealed shut as dark blue blood-like fluid seeps from the cut.
Cerebro Beast then turns to face Echidna, giving her a glare of absolute hatred. It then lashes out a bunch of it's tendrils, wrapping up Echidna's limbs as it hoists her up into the air.
"Echidna!" Dragnarok shouted as he was about to help her, only for Cerebro Beast to use it remaining tendrils to fire energy bolts at Dragnarok, keeping him in place.
Echidna struggles to get out of her bindings, only for eyes widen in fear as the sentimonster revs up it's chainsaw before slowly bring it close to her in a sadistic manner.
"Echidna!" Dragnarok shouted in horror as the chainsaw's sharp teeth inch closer and closer to Echidna's face.
Mayura, who was watching all this from a nearby rooftop, immediately tries to dispel the sentimonster, only to feel a psychic presence enter her mind, forcing her onto her knees.
Back with Echidna, the spined hero shuts her eyes, awaiting her bloody fate. That's when a sphere of purple energy hits Cerebro Beast's left claw, blowing it clean off and reducing it to a stump.
The sentimonster let out a scream as drops Echidna, who was caught by Swallow flying back to the scene.
"Man, that was a close one!" He exclaimed as he lands. "You alright?"
"Just seeing my life flash before my eyes, but I'm good." Echidna said in a slight scared tone.
Then everyone heard... growling. Following, everyone, including Cerebro Beast, saw that it was coming from Dragnarok.
Except it wasn't Dragnarok, but Dark Dragnarok!
The darkness covered hero held his jaw in his hands, growling out in pain.
The fanged mouth on the draconic hero's mask began to sink into his head. Scaly lips formed around them until they become a small, lizard-like snout.
Opening his new snout, Dragnarok reveals the fanged mouth on his mask had just become his actual teeth!
The draconic hero lets out a roar as fire fills his mouth before releasing it, shooting a huge stream of fire at Cerebro Beast.
The sentimonster lets out a pain-filled screech as it was engulfed in flames.
As it puts out the flames, it's glares at Dark Dragnarok, it's skin scorched black. It's then cause it's tendril hair to glow.
Suddenly, various debris floats up into the air before being launched at Dark Dragnarok.
The draconic hero simply tilted his head, causing the debris to stop before being launched back at the sentimonster, having various bits of debris impaling it's body.
By now, Cerebro Beast looks worse than it did before. Most of it's skin was charred black, cuts covered it's body, one of it's tusks were broken, various pieces of metal were impaled in skin, the wires and tubes on it's body were cut, releasing sparks and dark blue fluid.
All in all, it was a disgusting and pitiful sight.
Deciding to put the sentimonster out of it's misery, Dark Dragnarok fires a huge beam of Dark Aether from his mouth, hitting the sentimonster square in the chest.
Cerebro Beast let out a roar as it's glows purple before-.
BOOM!
-it explodes, causing it to rain dark blue fluid and pieces of metal.
Everyone looks at the scene in shock before facing Dark Dragnarok, who was returning to his regular self.
Well, mostly regular self.
Regaining his senses, Dragnarok looks around, seeing the shocked looks of everyone else before noticing his reflection in a nearby window.
He saw that his mask was now replaced with an actual functioning lizard-like snout.
Opening and closing his new jaw, Dragnarok freaks out. "What's happening to me?!"
He then notices the staring crowd, causing him to freak out even more before taking off.
Meanwhile, from her rooftop vantage point, Mayura was panting heavily as she slowly got back onto her knees.
She then noticed the Amok she made pop out of the Eiffel Tower keychain with a purple glow before disintegrating before her very eyes.
With a sigh, she heads back to the Agreste mansion, mentally preparing herself for the earful she was going to get from both Hestia and Cinzia.
What she didn't know was that Chrys was watching her with glowing purple eyes.
She was about to follow Mayura, only to pause and look at the battle scene with awe for a bit before pursuing the Peacock wielder.
Even though Ladybug repaired everything with her power, the staff decided to cancel school for the rest of the day, as Cerebro Beast's attack did put a toll on people.
We cut to Drake's room, where we see Ombra talking to Drake, Spyro, Cynder, and Ignitus.
"Okay, something is going on with you Drake." Ombra said rather bluntly.
"I'm fine Ombra." Drake lied, only to get a look from his friend, causing him to sigh heavily. "Can't really lie to you, could I?"
With reluctance, Drake takes both his sweatshirt and shirt off.
Ombra blushed at this, only for her eyes to widened at the sight of the scales growing on his body. They widened ever more upon noticing the claws and fangs.
"This is... something." She said, at a lost of words "How is this happening?"
"I don't know!" Drake shout in a agitated tone, causing Ombra step back a bit. "If I did, I would've fix this by now!"
"Chill out dude." Ombra said, holding a hand up. "Anyway, if we tell the others, then perhaps we can-."
"No! We will not tell the others, especially Kagami!" Drake demanded. "In fact, I'm calling in that favor now!"
Ombra gave a confused look. "Favor? What favor?"
"You know that thing I helped you with before I moved here, and you said that if we ever meet again, you'd repay a favor." Drake explained.
Ombra stared in confusion before she remembers what Drake was talking. She then gains a deep red blush on her face. "I thought we agreed to never speak of that again!"
"And I'm sorry for bring up the bad memories, but I'm calling in that favor now, and that favor is you not telling the other about this!" Drake ordered.
"Fine, fine!" Ombra said, rolling her eyes. "Anyway, I best get going. Mom has been freaking out since the sentimonster attacked the school." As she gets up and walks to the door, she stops and looks back. "Listen. I know you don't want the others to know about this, but I still suggest telling them. You need to remember that you're not alone."
Once she was out the door, Cynder flies up to him. "She right, you know. You not alone."
Drake just grunted as he stares at his arms, practically seeing the scales grow.
Meanwhile, at the Agreste mansion...
SLAP!
Nathalie held her left cheek, which had a bright red hand mark, as she and Gabriel watched Hestia hold back an angry Cinzia.
"Let me go Hestia! I need to teach this bitch what happens when you try to hurt my daughter!" Cinzia shouted. "And why aren't you mad?! She sent that thing after your son!"
"I am mad. But that doesn't mean we can't handle this like civilized adults." Hestia said in a eerily calm tone. "In fact, why don't you step out for a bit? You clearly need to cool off."
Cinzia, getting out of her friend's grip, walks out of the room, muttering curses, as well as creative threats to Nathalie's being, under her breath.
Hestia then turns to Gabriel and Nathalie, her gaze colder than ice. "Now then, mind explaining to me why a sentimonster went after my son and caused general havoc?"
"I'm sorry, I just couldn't let something like this pass up." Nathalie apologized. "I just thought-!"
"You thought?!" Hestia interrupted, her voice holding a growing anger. "After this stunt, as well as the one with your Ladybug sentimonster, you just convinced me that you should leave the thinking to me and Gabriel!" She then turns Gabriel. "And you should keep a tighter leash on her!"
"She will be punish accordingly." Gabriel said. "But as for right now, it's best that you head home, and cool your head for a bit."
"Fine." Hestia said in a cold tone.
As she leaves, Nathalie let's out a defeated sigh before looking at her boss. "You think she'll ever forgive me?"
"I honestly don't know." Gabriel answered truthfully. "She can hold a grudge, especially if it involves her children." Seeing Nathalie letting out another sigh, he places a hand on her shoulder. "Just give her some time. I'm sure she'll come around to forgiving you." This causes Nathalie to gain a small smile. "Though, I must ask, what inspired you to make a sentimonster like that?"
"I don't know. I used my dedication to you to make it like I did with the Ladybug sentimonster." Nathalie answered.
Gabriel raised an eyebrow at her. "Just dedication? You weren't feeling any other emotion?"
"Well, I was feeling a little guilty about going behind Hestia's back." Nathalie said with a look of slight realization.
"That must be it. The sentimonster was created from your dedication to me with the guilt of betraying Hestia's trust." Gabriel said with pondering. "These two emotions must've been in conflict with each other, resulting in a twisted and unstable abomination that can easily go berserk." He then looks at Nathalie. "This is something we should note down for when the Peacock Miraculous fixed."
"Of course sir." Nathalie said before gaining a curious look. "I have been wondering... Have you managed to decipher Eldritch's spell book?"
"No. It's like I'm read gibberish." Gabriel said in a slightly frustrated tone.
What the two didn't realize that from the shadows, a pair of eyes were watching them.
A pair of eyes with purple sclera, yellow irises, and slit pupils.
And that's that!
So yeah, fun fact, Cerebro Beast is kind of my answer to a question I thought of.
What happens when the Peacock user tries to make a sentimonster, but is feeling two emotions that kind of conflict with each other?
My answer: A sentimonster that has a twisted appearance and is very unstable.
