The coffee burned her hand as she unlocked the door, but it was her darlings favourite so as she entered the room, she grinned and bared it. It would be a nice welcome home treat for when they got back. They'd appreciate the gesture, maybe a cute note or some flowers also.
She traipsed across the carpet hallway to the kitchen, placing the steaming cup down upon it and scanning the room. Excitement bubbled through her as she scanned the kitchen. They'll be walking back here, so, so soon. She could hardly wait. It had been so long since she'd seen them.
Every cell in her body was bursting with happiness.
Knowing how much they'd like it, she started to spruce up there living space. Dusting the shelves, tidying the couch cushions, vacuuming and placing their favourite book and newspaper she'd just bought on a small table beside their favourite reading chair.
They'd spend hours there, and had a perfect view of the street below, people watching was one of their hobbies. They'd tend to take inspiration from what they saw and write it for their blog, make up stories. It's what really drew her to them; they're fascinating, incredible mind.
With a quick splash of perfume, a little alarm started to beep on her phone. Silencing it she does a final walkthrough, everything looked perfect. She smiles widely, finishing the final touches on the bouquet of flowers and exited their apartment
It wasn't long now.
Running through the hall, practically grinning to herself, she booted down the stairs, out of the building and to the quaint cafe across the street from the apartment building. She sat back down my her laptop and drink, and sipped it idly as a car pulled up not even fifteen minutes later.
Their car.
Her heart fluttered, pouring against her poor ribcage.
There she was. Smiling, an arm over someone shoulder, but she didn't care about that. Eyes glued to their angelic mouth. A perfect shade of red, matching their blushing cheeks.
God they looked stunning.
Right dress hugging all the right places, brown hair tied up in a loose bun, a few stray stranded framing their face, a beautiful golden necklace finding its home in the swell of her cleavage.
Alice's eyes drew down, to her flat stomach and soft hips, begging to dig her fingers into them. Thoughts travelled, and her own face turned beat red.
She watched them walk, slowly, and disappeared behind the doors.
Time ticked.
And again.
It's minutes before she sees her appear at the living room window by the reading chair.
She was so insanely beautiful.
The brunette frowned, the woman next to her glared as she saw the book. Picking it up she tossed it out of the window onto the metal fire escape. Alice eyes lit with fire, but in the end she won as her phone starts to buzz.
'Darling' flashing on the screen.
"Did you like it?"
Alice hears her scoff. "Did I-? What? Are you insane. Why the fuck were you in my apartment? We've been through this, it was one date! Stay away from me."
The line goes dead, the curtains are pulled across.
Manicured fingers tap along the screen.
Oh love, I've barely started.
You'll be mine soon enough.
I just have to get rid of that pesky little girlfriend of yours.
Bella will learn to love me.
