The Traveler: A Star Wars Story
A/N: As I said before I will reference the films. This includes all films such as Rouge One, Solo, and other movies surrounding the Star Wars universe. As well as referencing Obi-Wan Kenobi, and other spin offs. As a reminder this story is obviously au. So some things may be different than others. While I haven't read the comics I will be using some of their characters. For example R2-KT. I have also created an oc droid.

"Kriff, this is going to be a rough landing. Blasted imperial scum!" Jinn cursed as she began the process of landing her ship. Her ship was a freighter. Custom designed. Though she had a bit of help from a certain Twi'lek. Drawing inspiration from Hera Syndulla's ghost to the point her own ship was practically a replica, but the Amidala had its own personality. Instead of having red, orange and gold painted parts. Her ship was created with the colors of blue, silver, white and purple. Not that color mattered to Jinn much anyway.
On her way to Tatooine she may have gotten in trouble with a few imperials. Imperials who she was able to get away from. Though not before taking a few hard hits. At least she could engage her ship on auto pilot, now. Not that she minded using her force abilities in order to sense the atmosphere around her and fly the ship. It just grew taxing when one used so much energy.
Finally she had landed in a remote place. Though she knew what, or rather who she was looking for wouldn't be far from here.
"R2-KT, come on." Jinn beckoned the light pink astrometric droid to follow her. R2-KT looked strikingly similar to R2-D2, but their color distinguished the two astrometric droids.
"Shall I get started on repairs, Lady Jinn?" The voice of her protocol droid stopped her decent from the ramp as she turned to her other companion.
Much like R2-KT. Her protocol droid named P-3po was a companion she came across on one of her many time traveling adventures. She had found R2-KT in the past. Together they had discovered P-3po in the far, very far, off future. On that same adventure she found the cloaking device for her ship. The feminine protocol droid was actually modeled based on C-3PO. Though the only reason she was named P-3PO was for the simple fact her plating color happened to be a purple color. While her sensors were a light pink. Jinn only knew this because the manufacturer of the droid had told her so. She measured about the same hight of C-3P0, and at times the two were alike.
Force help, her if the two ever actually met. At least in their current timeline. Shaking herself out of her thoughts. Jinn was quick to answer.
"That would be most helpful P-3PO. In fact R2- KT. Why don't you stay with the ship and help out. As soon as we landed I turned on the cloaking device. Therefore we are invisible not only to our surroundings but also to any scanners. What I seek isn't far from here. The force will guide me."
With those words Jinn exited the ship.
"I do hope lady Jinn doesn't find herself in any trouble." P-3PO comments offhandedly. R2-KT let out a few reassuring beeps.
"Hmm, I suppose you would know. You've been with her longer. Although our survival rate has dramatically declined since joining with her. This place is nothing like the future I come from."
R2-KT lets out a few more beeps as she purposefully bumps into P-3PO.
"Hush, you know I speak the truth. Though it would be me who gets stuck with a time traveling Jedi and her astrometric droid. Now let's see about these repairs. There's been some damage on the ships surface see if you can fix that. Remember to stay on the actual ship. If you move off. Someone may see you, and don't expect me to come to your rescue, because I will be working on a more serious repair. It seems our hyper drive has retained some damage."
Location change: Inside Ben's hut, Obi-Wan Kenobi has just explained to Luke Skywalker about his father. When a rapid knock is at the door.
"I am sure getting a lot of company today." Obi-Wan said as he opened the door.
"I know that face. Oh no it's you again. Each time you show up something bad always happens! Not today traveler. Go your own way." He said as he examined the figure in a black tunic. The black cloak hides her face from view.
He's just about to shut the door when she moves. Doing something he knows that the traveler never did.
Slowly hands raised as they lowered the hood that covered her face from view.
"The same could be said for any Skywalker. Obi-Wan Kenobi." Obi-Wan took in a shocked breath because as before the Travelers identity had only been speculated. He should've really put two and two together, because the traveler happened to be his old masters new padwan Obi-Wan said nothing to her words, but left the door open as he turned to Luke who was gaping in astonishment.
"How do you know my name?" He asked standing up as the figure stepped into the room.
"It's not just your name, Hello, Luke, my name is Jinn, Jinn Skywalker though most know me as The Traveler. Some know me better by the alias Wan Jinn."
"WAN!" Obi-Wan exclaimed in shock.
"You use Ben as an alias. Yet your last name is Kenobi. I needed to keep off the imperial radar. Especially as Jinn Skywalker. Besides as The Traveler we go way back, or have you forgotten?" Jinn jested crossing her arms into her robe.
Obi-Wan sighed, "How can I forget." His gaze lingered on the piece of fabric covering her eyes. Though he knew that wasn't the event she was referring to.
"Wait, are you," Luke paused as he came towards Jinn examining her. Her hair was a bit darker than his honey blonde hair. Yet they had the same forehead. The same ears.
"I'm your sister. Your older sister. I was born three years before you, though since our father was a Jedi knight the Jedi council forbids attachment. It's in their "code." So, Jedi aren't allowed to marry or have kids. Our mother's parents took me in. Three years later the republic fell. Our mother passed away when she gave birth to you and Leia-"
"As in the princess of Alderaan! The one who needs Ben's help!" Luke interrupted.
Jinn nodded, "Indeed, She is also our sister."
Luke stepped back for a second.
"I'm sorry, Ben, uh Jinn, but I can't help you. I mean I am in for it as it is!" He exclaimed. The information he had received today had long ago reached its boiling point.
Luke was at his limit and he couldn't do this.
"Luke, I am getting too old for this sort of thing. Jinn gets in enough trouble on her own. You're both going to need each other." Obi-Wan said calmly.
"You must do as you feel is right of course." Jinn consoled feeling his turmoil. At her words Luke sped out of the hut. Jinn and Obi-Wan watched him drive away.
Well Obi-Wan watched him drive away.
"Was it necessary to spring so much on the boy at much?" Obi-Wan snapped as he turned to Jinn.
"Would you rather her be dishonest with the lad, Obi-Wan?" The specter of Qui-Gon asked as he appeared.
"Well no," Obi-Wan replied.
"Good, now Jinn before your journey it's time for your trials. Sit down and meditate. Let the force guide you to where you are meant to be. You will know how to get back here. As always make it a few moments after you've left."
"Wait-" Obi-Wan interrupted Qui-Gon, "When we spoke of time travel before it was mentioned that it was supposed to be done in a ship, through a deep meditation trance, in the midst of a hyperspace lane."
"That's only one way. This way is a bit shorter and depending on how quickly you let yourself go. It can be done in a pinch." Jinn explains as she sat down and began to meditate. A few minutes later she turns transparent. Unlike Qui-Gon her form doesn't have a blue glow. Instead she glows white before in a blink disappearing completely.
"That is nineteen years of nothing but pure potential."
"You've been training her since-" Qui-Gon nodded to Obi-Wans observation.
"The second his blade struck. I was there the whole time. Imagine my shock when she could actually hear me. One sense was taken, and yet her connection to the force was so intense that she could pick up on what you could not...What Anakin could not."
Before Obi-Wan could say anything Jinn showed back up in her transparent form before turning physical.
"I passed." She said although her voice had an undertone of something that Obi-Wan couldn't make out.
"What were they, your trials?" Qui-Gon asked though he already knew. Being in the cosmic force allowed him to be everywhere. In time and space.
"Let's just say that like all things we do. They were unorthodox. Something that the council wouldn't see as a trail, but I was knighted." Jinn answered unwilling to speak just yet of how she had been knighted.
"Then allow Obi-Wan the honor of cutting off your padwan braid." Qui-Gon answered with a grin as Obi-Wan went back into his hut to grab a sharp tool.
"By the will of the force." He said as he cut the small braided strand that hung over her shoulder, brushing the rest of her long hair behind her ear.
A while passed Qui-Gon while there in spirit wasn't visible as he had been. Jinn had just helped Obi-Wan bury the dead that had been slain outside his hut earlier that afternoon.
Luke returned to them shortly after.
"There's nothing for me here, now. I'll go with you to Alderaan." Then he turned to Jinn and wrapped an arm around her shoulder.
"Let's go save our sister." He said.
This, the journey began.
A/N: I hope this wasn't too short. Next chapter doesn't take place during A New Hope. It takes place during Star Wars Rebels Session 2 Episode 18: Shroud of Darkness.
