Authors Note - I will be doing my first fic with a crossover of Bleach and Akame ga Kill. One of my favorite characters will be getting a shot at a new life. I hope to do the story justice but I can say I am not very good at combat related scenes. I'll probably draw inspiration from my rp character on discord.

Sheele will be paired with Kenpachi Zaraki. I'm not putting her through the academy so she'll be in his squad after they meet a few times. I think I'll make the timeline so she comes in after Aizen turned traitor and has left the Soul Society.

I think her Zanpakuto will be her imperial arms Extase.

Chapter 1

Another boring day in the Soul Society. Kenpachi missed Ichigo for the simple fact he gave him a challenge. He was fun to fight and gave him plenty to think about. His men were training but none of them would be enough to excite him. "Ikkaku, Yumachika your both in charge! I'm heading out to patrol." He didn't give them a chance respond instead he head made for his old district. Maybe if he cleaned it up a bit he wouldn't be so damned bored. Yachiru was out bothering the other Captains and causing mischief.

Reaching the Zaraki district he casually began to wander around. Everyone who knew his name feared getting on his badside. He could see the fear in their eyes and it warmed him to the bones. He knew he was a monster but he didn't care. He had one person he cared about and that was Yachiru. He's raised her in a sense since she was a toddler. Caring for her, protecting her and training her. He hardly went anywhere without her. In his mindless wandering he almost stepped on someone who was laying in the middle of the road.

He looked down and noticed a strikingly beautiful but innocent looking woman. She was very definitely new here and from the looks of the sword by her side. She could become a soul reaper like he chose to be. Frowning he nudged her with his foot as his sword settled on his shoulder. "Hey you awake girl?" The response he got wasn't one he expected. Before his foot could move away she had stabbed his leg. And then her eyes opened and he was frozen. Her eyes were just as purple as her hair and that was not normally what seen on a person.

It was almost as if time itself stopped as they stared at one another. So caught off guard he was that he didn't register the fact she actually had a sword in his leg. Normally it takes someone strong to injure him. When it finally did register that he had been stabbed. She was already on her feet with the sword in her hand covered in his blood. Her eyes were cold and emotionless and it sent shivers down his spine. This woman was so interesting that he didn't even care she injured him. He had found himself a new playmate it seems. He grinned as he swung his sword at her.

Sheele for her part was both confused about where she was. And very aware of the threat this man in front of her posed. Raising the sword in her hand on instinct she blocked his attack. She knew Senryu and her imparial arms Koro had killed her. Knew she had used her trump card so that Mine could get away. She also knew the sword in her hand felt familiar to her. Right now though she was currently being attacked. Not because she was a threat because it didn't feel like a fight to the death. No this guy seems like he was actually looking for someone to challenge him.

Kenpachi swung his sword again and watched as she blocked once more. The way she moved was like it was instinctive to her. Now normally he would continue the fight. But she was a new soul and as a captain he had to at least do his duty. So the moment he settled his sword back in its proper place. She too also lowered her sword and slowly brought emotions back into her eyes. "So who are you girl?" He figured he would see if she remembered her name or anything else.

Sheele frowned as she looked around finally taking in the scene before her. "Sheele, I'm dead aren't I." It wasn't a question more like an observation. "Where am I? And who are you?" She looked back up at the man who had wild spiky black hair. An eye patch over his right eye and scars on his face. He was very muscular she could tell and if his reaction was anything to go by a killer too.

"Sheele sounds odd but whatever. You are in the Zaraki district of the Soul Society. Congratulations your a new soul who arrived here without assistance from us Soul Reapers. As for who I am, I am Captain Kenpachi Zaraki. Leader of the 11th squad."

Sheele tucked her hair behind her ear and looked away for a moment. So she was right she was dead still and ended up in some weird afterlife. The man, Kenpachi was also dead like her since he said Soul Reaper. She wasn't stupid she knew in some sense what Soul Reapers were. She looked at the blade of her sword and furrowed her brows. The sword definitely felt familiar as if it was a part of her. Yet she only knew of one weapon she had wielded and bonded with.

"You are different from the souls that normally come here. And you are no stranger to combat. In fact the way you wield that sword is instinctive. Like you know how to handle a weapon. Your change in demeanor also told me you aren't a stranger to killing. I recognize that kind of spirit and now I am curious about you."

Kenpachi wasn't blind or stupid no matter what anyone thought. He may not be good at knowing where he was going. But he was smart and able to pick out those he saw potential in. Sheele had potential and so much more. He would have to come back and get a better feel for her before he did anything more. If she was up to his standards then he'd offer her a place in his squad. Something about her made him interested in her. Much like how Yachiru didn't show fear when they met so he took her in.

Sheele looked up at him and instinctively sheathed the sword against her back. She paused when she realized there was nothing there to hold her sword in place. Instead she rested it on her shoulder as she tightened her hand on the hilt. "So what if I am. What are you going to do about it?" She asked him with steel in her eyes. She wasn't scared of this man despite her demeanor she was curious about him. How does one like him gather the amount of fear he was getting from the people around here.

"Heh nothing for now. But I'll be back around Sheele. You intrigue me." He finally registered the pain in his leg and looked down. The wound was bleeding and he would have to go see Retsu to get it healed. "You are one of a few who are able to injure me. And you don't fear me which is even more interesting." He has not really found interest in someone outside of fighting in a long time. He would come back to see Sheele and maybe he will bring Yachiru.

Sheele relaxed her grip and smiled at Kenpachi. "Then I look forward to your next visit. You should go get that wound looked at." She lowered her sword and once more looked at the blade. She really wanted to know why it felt so familiar to her. When she looked up he was grinning at her again.

"Be ready Sheele. When I come back I won't stop at just two swings of my sword." He turned on his heels and began walking away.

"I look forward to it Kenpachi." Was all she said as she watched him go. The bells in his hair was interesting but for now she had to figure a few things out. One of which was getting a pair of glasses and new clothes. The only thing she knew right now was that she would be having a lot of interactions with Kenpachi.

That's the end of chapter 1. I hope everyone likes it so far. I honestly couldn't think of anyone to put her with but then I realized Kenpachi doesn't get a lot of love. So he and Sheele will be paired together.

She really is my favorite character and I was sad when I watched her die.
