A/N: Okie, I was scrolling on Pinterest, (no judging) and saw this thing. [It said this, NAT: hey guys, would you date a woman stronger and taller than you? JAVY: of course. BOB: I only date women who are stronger than me.] Then I looked at the comments and found this. Naomi: "I want a cute romance fanfic about bob and phoenix so badly, no spicey details or anything, just sweet and cute." I responded and told them I'd make it, soooo…this is me making a little cure story about Bob and Phoenix's first time out together. :))

They had decided they wanted to keep it casual. Nothing crazy expensive or dress up or whatever. Just sweet, cute and…nice. So, Bob decided to wear jeans with a white T-shirt and (he blamed Rooster for his new 'obsession') a Hawaiian button up shirt. He was nervous. What if he did something stupid or said the wrong things or…Bob took a deep breath, cutting off the thoughts. His dog, Eirwen, a Siberian-husky, trotted behind him, her tail wagging.

He knelt, petting her softly and whispered, "You're adorably, you know that?" Eirwen seemed to beam at him. Bob chuckled and stood up again, taking another deep breath, "Wish me luck, girl." He grabbed his keys on the hook and opened the door, Eirwen barked happily.

Shutting the door and locking it, Bob stepped into his Jeep. He'd be going to Phoenix house to pick her up there. Fingers drumming on the steering wheel, Bob finally arrived, and parked. He was nervous. He could do this! Bob hyped himself up as he knocked on the door.

Phoenix opened it. She was wearing a cute, white sun dress, which went down to her ankles. She wore her hair back in a hairclip, and she wore a gold necklace. Phoenix smiled brightly at him, "You're early."

"Oh, uh…Yeah." Bob said. There was a pause. "You look nice." He finally said. She did, she really did.

"Thank you. Let me go grab my purse and I'll be right out." Phoenix told him.
"Alright," Bob smiled at her, "I'll just stay here." She nodded and walked back inside. Bob glanced around her yard, which had a cute little garden of flowers. Phoenix may seem like a girl who was a leader and untouchable with no soft side, but seriously, she had a green thumb. All her flowers were alive and bright, like her.

"I'm back!" Phoenix stepped outside, turning, and locking the door, she turned back to him, "Ready to go?"

"Ready as I'll ever be." Bob answered. She laughed and they started walking to the Jeep together. Bob opened the door for her, and she stepped in, saying thank you. Bob got in the driver's seat, and started the engine.

"You're Jeep is actually really nice." Phoenix said.

"Thank you." Bob smiled as he drove down the road, "You should see Hangman's. It's cleaner than you'd expect it to be." Phoenix laughed.

"How was work today?" She asked.

"It was okay. Better than most." Bob answered as he turned left, "Cyclone is asked if I can do some things for him. So, I'm doing it. It's not hard, but it's definitely time-consuming."

"Yeah, that makes sense," Phoenix replied. "Oh, did you hear about Halo?"

Bob frowned, trying to rack his brain for anything. "No, what happened?"

"She and Omaha are dating." Phoenix smiled, "I honestly didn't think they'd ever get together."

Bob laughed, "Yeah, took them long enough."

They continued talking for a little while longer until they finally reached their destination. Both decided to go to a cute little café that neither of them had been to. They had eaten a light dinner beforehand so they wouldn't starve. Besides, they weren't officially dating, no need to spend a lot of money on a meal for once in a lifetime. They were only tiptoeing the waters right now, trying to see if they enjoyed being together, and if they wanted to further their relationship.

"We're here." Bob parked said, parking the Jeep on the side of the road.

They both stepped out and walked into the café together. Sofe jazz music played on the speakers. The room was lit up in a warm white light, which contrasted greatly with the cool, dark wood, giving the café a medieval type of feel. There were table nooks around, and in another room was a fireplace with a few couches, coffee table and rug. Plants were hanging around the room, or sitting on certain tables. The windows were large, allowing natural sunlight into the room and there were beautiful, silky red curtains hanging. The air wasn't dusty, it actually smelt really well.

Bob walked to the menu, looking at the contents. Phoenix stood next to him. She smelt like flowers, that was cute. "I think I'm going to get a chai latte." He said quietly, so as to not disturb the other people. Phoenix hummed, "I'll get a latte macchiato." She looked up at him smiling. "We're going latte's tonight."

Bob chuckled and waited in line. The barista turned to them, smiling warmly. "Good evening," she said, "What can I get for you two today?"

"Ladies first." Bob glanced at Phoenix, who rolled her eyes good-heartedly.

"Can I get a latte macchiato?" she asked.

"Mhmm," the barista (Bob saw that her name was Elizabeth) hummed, writing on a notepad, "Would you like it iced?" Phoenix shook her head, "Okay… Do you want a caramel flavor?"
'I've never tired that, so sure!" Phoenix answered, pulling her wallet out of her little brown bag.

"Is that it?" Elizabeth asked.

"Yes," Phoenix answered. Elizabeth turned to Bob, "And what would you like?"

"I'll take a chai latte, no ice, please." Bob said.

"Alright, you want almond milk?"

"Ummm…no thank you."

"Okay." The barista finished writing. "And who will be paying, or will you be paying on separate tabs?'

"Separate." Bob answered.

"Okay!" The barista ripped off the paper with the notes she made and handed it to someone, "If you could just wait over there, we'll be ready as soon as possible."

"Thank you," Bob said, handing her his cash. Phoenix also handed Elizabeth the cash, stashing her wallet back in the bag.

They moved away from the line and stood against a wall, watching the people walk in and out. "I wonder what chai tastes like." Bob mused.

"You've never had chai?" Phoenix asked.

Bob shook his head, "I decided to test new things."

"Oh, well it tastes great! Almost like…" she paused for a second as she thought about how to describe it, "if autumn had a taste, that's what it would be."

"Now you've got me interested." Bob laughed.

They stood there for a while longer until they're names were called out. Bob took his latte, thanking the barista and waited for Phoenix to come to him. "You want to take a walk around?"

"I'd love that." Phoenix smiled. Bob led her out of the café into the street where they could see the sun starting to set. Bob pointed to the sun, "There's a beach out that way, if we make it in time, we may be able to watch the sun finish setting."

"Let's do it." Pheonix started, well…skipping in a way, towards the glittering ocean. Bob followed closely, a smile playing on his lips.

They finally made it and sat down on a bench. Bob took a sip from his latte. Phoenix was right, it did kinda remind him of autumn. They watched as the sun set onto the water, causing it to glimmer and sparkle. The waves gently lapped at the sand; the noise was soothing. The birds called out occasionally to each other. Other than that, it was a silent peace.

Slowly the moon rose, and the stars shined brightly. The crickets started singing happily and Bob and Phoenix continued to sit quietly. Bob discreetly put his arm behind Phoenix, not close enough to be uncomfortable, but enough that Phoenix would at least feel…protected, he supposed. He sat there blinking slowly. Then he felt Phoenix rest her head on his shoulder, muttering, "This is nice. We should do it more often."

Bob beamed, and answered her in a whisper, "Yes. Yes we should."
