After dealing with those bandits and giving those gormotti kids a place among argentum. Which way an annoying detour considering those kids stole our core crystals. We arrived at mor ardain and no wonder the soldiers here were assholes. The titan they live off of is a wasteland. And as someone who used to live in a wasteland. Yeah sand and heat leads to being very cranky. We made it to the capital city. I could feel someone was watching us. And so did dromarch on the way. A blue nopon ran up towards us. Clearly knowing tora despite tora not knowing him.

"Tora not remember me at all! It muimui! I was assistant of professor soosoo, your grampypon!" muimui said.

"Oh right! Muimui not very interesting, so tora forgot he exists." tora said. I bursted out laughing at that comment. Oh to think the nopon pervert with a maid fetish actually made a sick burn. But after wards. The mood turned quite somber after tora asked about his missing father. Of course muimui had no idea. But he did give us the idea to hit up a hot spring..

"Eh…why the hell not?" i asked.

3rd person pov.

On the guys side of the hot spring. Rex and jin were enjoying the spring while tora was looking all over the wall hoping to find a hole he can peak through.

"If he gets caught…he will most likely die…" rex said.

"If that happens…well I'm just gonna let natural selection take its course." jin said uncaringly. Soon kaku entered with a towel around his waist. But he noticed that a large amount of blood was going down kaku's nose. All the way down to his neck. "What happened to you?" he asked.

"I walked in on mythra changing…and you know what happened." kaku lied. While it was true that kaku walked in on mythra in nothing but a towel. But his bleeding nose wasn't due to a heavy object being thrown at his nose.

Five minutes ago.

Kaku took off his clothes and put a towel around his waist. And walked through the room that lead to both the girls and guys side. He turned to his left to see that mythra was also in there…wearing nothing but a towel. She turned around and saw kaku.

"S-sorry mythra. Didn't realize you were coming through al-" kaku said only for him to be silenced as when mythra noticed that no one else was in that room. She opened up her a towel. Giving kaku a full view of her body. Needless to say. A large stream of blood came out his nose. Kaku fell backwards. Mythra wrapped her towel around her body and giggled as she entered the womans side.

"When did I become so bold?" mythra thought. She shrugged and blamed her new driver.

As everyone continued to soak on the girl's side. Nia stand up revealing her core crystal.

"Nia…are you?" mythra asked.

"Mmm well, yeah." nia replied.

"Do you want us to keep this quiet?" mythra asked.

"I'd appreciate it…yeah for now. Kaku already knows." nia replied.

"He does? How?" mythra asked.

"It was after i slapped him and ran away that he found me in my blade form…what he said about that power…about how not using it to save a life was cowardice…i can't deny that i felt hurt by that…he told me about how there's a place for flesh eaters…but not for cowards…as blunt as a shield hammer that guy is huh?...but i can't deny what he said hit deep. When the time comes when we'll need my power…will i get past my fear. Or will i let someone die just because i was afraid and decided to keep running…that jerk fails to realize that not everyone has that kind of strength." nia said somberly. Mythra stood up alongside her.

"There was a time when kaku was at his lowest point…that he wasn't nearly as strong as you think he is." mythra said somberly.

"Really. The guy who stood face to face with the legendary aegis and prevailed. At what point could someone like that be at his weakest?" nia asked.

"It was during the first aegis war…it was the first time kaku unleashed that power within him. He saved torna…but he lost control. He cut down emperor hugo and pyra was created cause he slashed me with that sword of his. He completely lost control. Only stopped when jin stabbed him through the back. Afterwards kaku said nothing…just a dead depressed stare…he was a guilt filled broken man. Of course he's back to the man he was. The strong man willing to be supportive to his friends. And even giving someone like malos the middle finger…but there was a long time that he very much wasn't…a depressed mess." mythra said.

"Then…how did he come back from that?" nia asked.

"He…had someone who refused to give up on him. Even when he gave up on himself." mythra said. Taking some pride in being the support her new driver and friend needed. Afterwards the building shook. Clearly some trouble was going down so the group went out to find out what was going on. The group followed a mysterious hooded figure. Who easily knocked out the mor ardain soldiers. Revealing to be another artificial blade like poppi.

"L..l…lila?" tora asked. Lila did not respond. But tora ran after her quickly. The others followed.

"You know who that was?" kaku asked.

"It was lila…the artificial blade tora's dadapon and grampypon were making. Tora recognize her anywhere." tora said.

"So your family is full of pervs with a maid fetish." kaku said deadpanned only for poppi to punch him in the arm.

"Now is not time for petty jabs…poppi sense either furnace…up there." poppi said. The group looked and saw lila standing on a building.

"Ether furnace reading detected. Initiating protocol." lila said as she landed in front of the group. Ready to fight. The group easily defeated her and forced her to retreat. The group chased her down. But found nothing tora soon told of what happened that day. That a group of tirkin's being lead by a masked nopon shot tora's grampypon and kidnapped his dadapon. After all lila wasn't finished at that time. So if she's finished now. Then tora's father must still be alive. As the group considered their next move. They were surrounded by mor ardain soldiers being lead by none other than morag.

"We meet again berserker of torna." morag said with a stare.

"Lady morag, she's the one. The mechanical girl that took down our squad!" a soldier yelled. Kaku sighed.

"500 years later and mor ardain soldiers are still brain dead bucket heads who are quick to point things at the most convenient target." kaku said annoyed.

"There's more of a reason this time…after all. It was an artificial blade causing trouble." lora said.

"Doesn't change the fact we're in trouble because these idiots can't tell the difference between poppi and lila." kaku said deadpanned.

"So…rex was it? I'm very disappointed to find you stoop to such lowly crimes." morag said with a disappointed voice.

"What the heck!? I'm telling you you got the wrong guys!" rex yelled. Morag response to draws her whipswords. The group drew their weapons. This time rex was holding his own against morag just fine on his own.

"Your skills have vastly improved boy!" morag yelled as she swung her whipsword. Rex dodged. Kaku stood by him.

"Ready to wrap this up?" kaku asked with a grin.

"Yep!" rex yelled as he and kaku charged at morag. After clashing blades and knocking morag back. She threw her sword to brighid. No doubt readying a powerful art. But when brighid tried to come to morags side she was punched in the face by kaku who sent her flying. Kaku quickly waved the blue flames off his fist. And blowing on his burnt knuckles. Morag took another swing only for rex to hold the sword to her neck.

"This battle is over!" rex yelled. Before could retaliate. Kaku took the whipsword and threw it to the side.

"Enough both of you!" a nopon yelled.

"You're from the argentum guild intelligence division." morag said. The nopon gave the rundown of what really happened here. And thus she apologized. Of course tora tried to get more of his favorite snake for poppi to chastise her driver for his lack of self-respect. But the two agreed to work together.

"Well. it's definitely better to have her working with us. Then against us." mythra said.

"Yeah…i know damn well what she's capable off…so i'm glad to be working alongside her. It'll be like old times…even if she doesn't remember a damn thing." kaku said. Brighid walked up to him and pinched both of his arms multiple times. "Ow! Stop it!" kaku yelled.

"Four pinches for my four arms that you cut off…now we're even." brighid said with a smug grin. Kaku groaned.

"Of course that's the one thing you remember." kaku said with a sigh. Afterwards the group split up from morag and went to investigate and figure out where lila went. After investigating some barrels and trading info for buying crap from a certain store. The group found out that a nearby factory is where lila most likely went. After reporting to morag. The group went to the factory but not before finding the key to the bridge.

"Seriously, what idiot left the key there?" kaku asked annoyed at the leg breaking jump they had to do to find the area where the key was. On their way to the factory they were stopped by a familiar loud laugh.

"Dork alert…" kaku said as zeke and pandoria arrived once again.

"So we meet again aegis." zeke said.

"Oh it's shellhead." nia said with little enthusiasm.

"yes! Wait who's "shellhead"!?" zeke yelled at the nickname.

"Do you prefer dork?" jin asked with a deadpan voice.

"Neither! You will address me as zeke von genbu, bringer of chaos! Or zeke! Or the zekenator!" zeke yelled.

"I'll start calling you zeke when you stop trying to be an anime character. Because you fail at it constantly." kaku said deadpanned.

"What's an anime?" lora asked.

"And what the hell is a zekenator anyway?" nia asked.

"You may have gotten lucky last time due to an unstable cliff. But this time we meet on good old terra firma! If you think you can run from me a second time! You are quite mistaken!" zeke yelled.

"Last time i checked i didn't run…i knocked you both off that cliff because i could only cringe for so long."

"And anyway shellhead?" nia asked.

"What?" zeke asked.

"You answer to that now?" pandoria asked.

"Your driver is an idiot." kaku said.

"I've been wondering for a while. But what's with the cutesy eyepatch?" nia asked.

"I'm quite glad you asked. This eyepatch conceals a power too great for mere mortals to comprehend. The eye of shining justice! I have sworn to keep it sealed until it's power is needed to save mankind. You should count yourselves lucky! It's power would turn you to ash in seconds!"

"Can you open it now? Because being ash sounds less painful then listening to your childhood fantasies that you clearly never grew out off. Because if you did. You would see what your saying and be embarrassed by it." kaku said his voice felt with cringe.

"What business with us do you have today?" lora asked.

"Are you thick? I'm here for the aegis obviously!" zeke yelled as he pointed his sword at mythra who just looked away.

"Listen pal. We don't have time to play with you today. So hurry on home ok?" nia said with a voice as if talking to a child.

"What's this? Were you so frightened by power that you wet yourself furry ears?" zeke smugly asked.

"Did i what!? You've gotta lot of nerve, you one eyed monster!" nia yelled. Everyone except kaku had a face of shock while kaku just had a "Really?" look.

"N..nia you do realize that "one eyed monster" usually means." rex said.

"Huh!? Means what!?" nia asked.

"One-eyed monster means penis." kaku bluntly explained with a deadpan voice.

"Oh…." nia said with a blush of embarrassment.

"I swear. I never understand how you say things like that with a straight face." jin said with a sweatdrop. After that conversation. The group once again fought the two dorks sending them back. And zeke did the same stunt again. Only instead of a cliff this time it was a boulder sending them both flying like team rocket. The group continued on their way. Kaku could only hope not to run into those two dorks again. They were most likely going to. Those two were stubborn…but a guy can dream right?
