While still on their way to Coulfort Town, Lincoln, Clyde and Stella were currently walking on the main path with the Afro-haired boy looking at his digital map device.

"Are we any closer to Coulfort Town, Clyde?" Lincoln asked.

"Yeah, we only have a few more days before the Contest begins and I might not be there to sign myself in when it does." Stella admitted in concern.

"Don't worry, you guys. We've just gotta through an upcoming field that's filled with very large ponds, travel through the second Route and then we'll arrive in Coulfort Town." Clyde explained, looking at his map device. "It's as simple as that."

"You'd better be right, because I'm starting to realise just how exhausting walking through an entire Region can be." Lincoln replied with a tired expression.

"I'd take this time to relax for five minutes." Stella added. "My feet are gonna get super damaged at this rate."

"We can stop when we reach that pond, which we should be seeing right about…now." Clyde proclaimed as he and the other two stopped on the edge of a lowering hill.

The trio looked down from the hill they stood on and they saw a huge grassland area that had numerous water-enriched ponds around it.

"Check this place out." Lincoln said in awe.

"That's got to be the biggest ares for water I've seen on any field." Stella commented.

"And the best part is that it's got the potential to let people catch some pretty cool Water type Pokémon." Clyde told them.

"Catching a Water type would be useful for my team." Lincoln replied.

"Not if I manage to catch one before you, Lincoln." Stella said, smirking confidently.

"Oh, you're gonna be sorry you said that, Stella." Lincoln taunted playfully.

The two young Trainers then raced their way down the hill and towards the pond area, causing Clyde to follow behind them.

"Why do I always get left out of these things?" Clyde asked himself. "Maybe because I'm just the boring knowledgeable guy who doesn't do any of the cool stuff like Gym battles or Contests?"

The trio soon arrived at the pond and they took in their surroundings, noticing how calm the area looked since they couldn't spot any Pokémon nearby.

"You know, there's really not that many Pokémon living in this place." Lincoln admitted.

"Maybe they're all just sleeping? It is the middle of the morning." Stella suggested.

"Either that, or they're just playing hard to catch." Clyde replied.

"You don't know that, Clyde. There's still a chance that one of them will pop up out of nowhere." Lincoln said. "That's one of the most common things for a Trainer to deal with."

"Please try to remember the basics, Clyde." Stella added, causing the brown-skinned boy to roll his eyes.

However, the trio started to hear some very faint noises that were a bit close to where they stood.

"Uh, do you guys hear that?" Stella asked with a raised eyebrow.

"It kinda sounded like a Pokémon nearby. But, it was a bit weak." Clyde said.

"Whatever it is, it sounded a bit close." Lincoln replied curiously. "Let's go take a look."

The white haired boy then ran off towards where he heard the faint sound, causing Clyde and Stella to follow him. The trio started hearing the noise again as it was sounding closer and more like it was in pain. They soon arrived at where the sound was most loudest, looking around every angle for the source.

"I still don't see anything." Stella admitted. "Where's that weird noise coming from?"

"It's really close, this time." Clyde replied. "Either that, or we've just been imagining the sound because all the exhaustion we've gotten from walking."

"We definitely heard something and I'm going to find it." Lincoln proclaimed. "Just keep listening out."

Just then, the trio heard the painful noise again and it sounded like it was coming from their left side behind a pile of tall pond grass.

"Looks like you were right, Lincoln." Stella told her friend.

"So, what exactly is over there?" Clyde asked, hiding the fact he was a bit awkward about being wrong.

"Let's see." Lincoln said before he approached the tall pond grass pile.

When the white haired boy moved the grass apart to get a better look behind, he saw that the noise did indeed came from a Pokémon, who was looking a bit injured. This Pokémon had an arachnid-like appearance as it's main body was coloured dark-grey, while it's legs and thorax were lightish-green. Three of it's legs were pointed below and three more were used to hold together a large bubble that was coated around the Pokémon's head. It also had a pair of large blue eyes.

"Dew…" The Pokémon said weakly as it's left bottom leg was shown to have a bright red scratch.

"Aww, that little guy's been hurt." Stella said with a sad and pitiful expression.

"What Pokémon even is it?" Lincoln asked, bringing out his Pokédex and scanning the injured Pokémon.

"Dewpider, the Water Bubble Pokémon. A Water and Bug type." Lincoln's Pokédex said. "It forms a water bubble at the rear of its body and then covers its head with it. Meeting another Dewpider means comparing water bubble sizes."

"It uses a water bubble to breath on land, Huh?" Clyde asked. "That's pretty useful for a Pokémon that's used to a pond being it's natural habitat."

"But still, this Dewpider looks like it's been hurt pretty badly." Lincoln said in concern.

He began to kneel down to Dewpider, but the injured Water Bubble Pokémon quickly noticed him and scowled in a hostile way.

"Wow, take it easy. I'm not gonna hurt you." Lincoln assured.

"I don't think that Dewpider's very fond of strangers." Stella admitted.

"Well, there's gotta be a group of them nearby." Clyde theorised. "I say we just let it be and have it's pals show up to help him."

"Clyde, we can't just leave Dewpider like this." Lincoln replied firmly. "What if it was found by an even bigger Water type or even Pokémon thieves?"

"That…is actually a good point." Clyde said in defeat.

"What do you suggest that we do then, Lincoln?" Stella asked.

"We should find a safe place rest at and nurse Dewpider back to full health." Lincoln answered, turning his attention back to the Water/Bug type.

"I've got a few Potions and bandages that can help with that." Clyde said.

"That's fine." Lincoln replied as he the picked up Dewpider, who was still scowling and didn't have enough energy to use a move. "Look, just calm down and I'll make sure you're free to go once your wound is healed up. Okay?"

Knowing that he was outnumbered against the trio and their Pokémon and not really having much of a choice, Dewpider dropped his hostility and sighed.

"Dewpider." Dewpider said softly.

"Good. Now let's get going." Lincoln instructed.

He, Clyde and Stella then rushed away to find a spot to heal Dewpider. However, none of them knew that a bunch of other Dewpider had just poked out their heads out of a nearby pond and glared at the trip.

Later on, Lincoln, Clyde and Stella had found an open grass field in the pond area and settled down their bags, while Lincoln gently placed Dewpider down to begin treating his wound.

"Okay, Clyde, do you think you could try spraying the wound with a Potion first?" Lincoln asked.

"Sure, just make sure Dewpider doesn't try using any moves on me." Clyde said, a little concnerd.

"I'll try my best to make sure it won't act hostile." Lincoln assured.

"That's easier said than done." Stella admitted, noticing Dewpider was still glaring at them.

Lincoln sighed calmly and he approached the agitated Dewpider.

"I get it, Dewpider, you're not very fond of humans like us. But all me and my friends want to do is help heal that injury on your leg." Lincoln said, smiling kindly. "You don't have to trust us, but all you need to do is be calm and let us help."

Dewpider seemed to have understood what Lincoln was saying and pondered if wether he could trust these young humans or not. After a long thought about it, Dewpider chose to calm down and nodded to Lincoln as a sign to say he was willing to let him help.

"Thanks. Now then, let's start with cleaning that wound with a bottle of Potion." Lincoln said.

"Way ahead of you, buddy." Clyde replied assuringly as he took off his backpack, bringing out a Potion.

Dewpider closed his eyes as Clyde started spraying the potion on his wound, making the Water/Bug type wince in pain a bit. Clyde soon stopped spraying and Dewpider's wound was shown to be less red and dirty.

"Okay, that's step one complete." Clyde told the others. "The next step is to just place a small bandage over the wound. All Dewpider's gotta do is stay still."

"Let's hope that the little fella does so." Stella replied.

Clyde brought out a white bandage out of his bag and tore off a piece. The Afro-haired boy then shifted towards Dewpider and gently wrapped the bandage over his wound, finishing it with a tight knot.

"That should do it." Clyde said with a smile.

"You did a pretty good job, Clyde." Lincoln complimented.

"Yeah, I didn't know you were so good with medical stuff." Stella added.

"I had to be good at something if I wanted to help you guys out." Clyde replied.

Dewpider started to slowly flex his bandaged leg as it felt a bit better than before and he began to slowly stand up, with his legs shaking a bit from the remaining pain.

"Take it easy, Dewpider. Your leg still needs to fully heal before you can start using it." Lincoln told Dewpider. "For now, just don't put so much pressure on it."

"Dewpider Dew." Dewpider replied, sitting back down.

"In that case, I say we all put down our bags here and rest up a bit. I'm pretty much done with all the walking." Stella said.

"That's fine with me." Clyde agreed. "Our Pokémon could use some refreshing time, as well."

"Alright, then. Are you okay with being around us for a little longer before we look for your friends, Dewpider?" Lincoln asked the Water Bubble Pokémon.

"…Dewp." Dewpider nodded after giving it a few seconds of thought.

"Thanks. We'll make sure to give you some personal space." Lincoln assured, taking off her bag and placing it on the ground.

"Better get our little friends out here." Stella told the boys, bringing out her two Pokeballs.

Lincoln and Clyde brought out their respective Pokeballs and the trio tossed them into the air, making them open up and release Scorbunny, Tranquil, Squirtle, Snivy and Ralts.

"Okay, everyone, we're all just gonna be having a chill-out time at this pond. After that, we'll all be getting back to travelling to our destination ahead." Lincoln explained.

"Also, we have a visitor who prefers to be left alone." Stella added while gesturing to Dewpider.

The gang's Pokémon were a bit confused to see the Water/Bug type, but they simply shrugged to confirm they were alright with it.

"Good. Now, let's all sit down and have a few snacks." Clyde said before he brought out some sandwiches and a few cans of Pokémon food.

Scorbunny, Squirtle, Snivy, Tranquil and Ralts let out happy cries as Clyde placed five Pokémon food cans in front of each of them, allowing them to start eating. Lincoln, Clyde and Stella ate their respective sandwiches in peace, but the white haired boy turned to Dewpider as he was currently laying in the ground in depression. Scorbunny also seemed to notice this as he walked up to his Trainer.

"Scorbun?" Scorbunny asked.

"I know, Scorbunny. I feel pretty bad for that Dewpider, too." Lincoln replied. "He's hurt badly and there's no way of telling if his friends will come."

"Scorbunny Scor." Scorbunny said, nodding in agreement.

Feeling like Dewpider needed comfort, the Fire type Starter Pokémon walked up to the Water Bubble Pokémon and gained his attention.

"Pider?" Dewpider asked, a little bit sceptical.

"Scorbunny." Scorbunny replied kindly as he then brought some Pokémon food out from his can and placed it near Dewpider. "Scor Scor."

Dewpider was confused by this kind offer, but he decided to take it anyway as he used his good leg to scoop up the Pokémon food and ate it.

"Dewpider." Dewpider said with a smile, liking the taste.

"Yeah, I'm sure it does taste good." Lincoln replied kindly. "Don't you think it's better when you decide to open up to others?"

"Dew." Dewpider admitted.

"You know, Dewpider, I've been wondering something." Lincoln told the Water Bubble Pokémon. "Do you ever do something exciting at this place?"

"Dewpider?" Dewpider asked in surprise before he started scratching the side of his water bubble sheepishly. "Dew Dew, Dewpider."

"Nothing much to do around here, Huh?" Lincoln asked with a soft expression.

"Scorbun." Scorbunny muttered.

"What do you expect? The only thing a Dewpider usually does is make a web in some pond to call it's very own home." Clyde replied.

"I'll be honest, that's not what I'd do with my life." Stella said to herself.

"Haven't you ever considered wanting to do something even greater than just spinning webs, Dewpider?" Lincoln questioned.

"Dewpider Dew." Dewpider answered, shrugging casually.

"Well, you should really try giving something a little more exciting in your life. Maybe one day, you'll come across a Trainer who'll find you and wanna take you on a pretty impressive journey." Lincoln told the Water/Bug type.

"Scor/Tranq." Scorbunny and Tranquil said in union.

Dewpider seemed to actually like the sound of that and he spoke kindly to Lincoln and his Pokémon in response.

"I think Dewpider might've already found a nice Trainer to be with." Stella whispered to Clyde, giggling a bit.

"Too true." Clyde replied before they then started to hear some rustling noises coming from the grass ahead of them. "Uh, what was that?"

"Maybe some harmless Pokémon that are just passing by?" Lincoln guessed.

But the white haired boy was proven wrong when a large group of Dewpider suddenly jumped out from the grass while glaring at the trio and their Pokémon, causing them to stand up in shock and surprise. The Dewpider Lincoln had befriended was most surprised to see the other members of it's kind in the area as they surrounded the trio.

"Okay, this is way too many Dewpider for my liking!" Stella exclaimed.

"Well, at least we found Dewpider's friends!" Lincoln reminded, trying to brighten things up.

"But I don't think they're happy to see us, Lincoln!" Clyde stated in worridness.

"Dewpider Dew?!" Dewpider questioned as some of his group's members got behind him in a defensive way.

"They probably think we kidnapped Dewpider!" Stella told her friends.

"No way! That's not what we were doing!" Lincoln proclaimed, turning his attention to the Dewpider group. "We were just helping Dewpider!"

"Scorbunny!" Scorbunny called reasonably.

Unfortunately for them, all of the Dewpider didn't believe them and started firing Bubble Beam at the trio and their Pokémon, causing them to immediately duck to avoid them.

"Okay, they definitely don't wanna hear anything from us!" Lincoln stated, very worried about the situation he and his friends were in.

"We've got no choice, then! Snivy, use Vine Whip!" Stella ordered. "Ralts, Psybeam!"

"Sni!" Snivy shouted before she lashed her vines at the Dewpider, smacking away some of them.

"Ralts!" Ralts called, shooting a beam of Psychic energy that struck three Dewpider.

But then, two more Dewpider each fired a large web and they landed ontop of Snivy and Ralts, trapping them against the ground as they struggled to break free.

"They just used Spider Web!" Clyde stated.

"Hold on, girls! I'll get you out!" Stella told her Pokémon as she rushed to them, only for the Dewpider to shoot Spider Web at her and the black-haired girl collapsed onto the ground with webs binding her. "Oh, dang it! This stuff is super gross!"

"We'll help you, Stella!" Lincoln called assuringly. "Scorbunny, Super Fang!"

"Scor!" Scorbunny replied as his tooth glowed white and grew larger, chomping down on a nearby Dewpider and knocking it away.

"Tranquil, help out by using Air Slash!" Lincoln ordered.

Tranquil flew straight into the air and launched Air Slash directly below the Dewpider as most of them were hit by the super-effective Flying type attack.

"Our turn! Squirtle, use Water Gun!" Clyde called.

"Squirtle Squirt!" Squirtle replied with a determined smile, shooting a powerful steam of water that blasted away four members of the Dewpider group.

Unfortunately, many more Dewpider fired Sticky Web at Clyde and Squirtle and the two of them ended up getting trapped in webs just like Stella and her Pokémon.

"Lincoln! We need some help, over here!" Clyde yelled beggingly, tugging on the webs.

As the young Trainer group kept getting overwhelmed, the Dewpider they befriended could only watch in sadness as the ones who healed him were being attacked by his own kind.

"Let my friends go now or all of you are gonna be sorry!" Lincoln stated with a glare.

Scorbunny and Tranquil got beside the white haired boy in battle positions, speaking warningly towards the Dewpider group. All the Dewpider prepared to fire Bubble Beam or Spider Web again.

"Get ready, you two!" Lincoln warned his Pokémon, who prepared to use their own moves.

"ARAQUA!" A new voice roared out loudly.

When the Dewpider heard this booming voice, they all stopped attacking the group and looked towards a nearby pond that was beginning to shiver a bit.

"Guys, I've got a bad feeling about this." Stella admitted nervously, causing Snivy and Ralts to speak in agreement.

"I'm guessing all these Dewpider are the least of our problems." Lincoln muttered.

Just then, another new Pokémon emerged out of the pond and it had some resemblances to Dewpider like the colours and water bubble around it's head, but this one was much more larger, it's six insectoid legs had bubbles connected to the joints and there were some light-brown markings above it's eyes and on it's back.

"Quanid!" The new Pokémon hissed angrily, moving out of the pond and crawling towards the trio in a menacing way.

"You were right, buddy. That Pokémon is our biggest problem." Clyde whispered fearfully.

"What even is it?" Lincoln asked as he brought his Pokédex out again.

"Araquanid, the Water Bubble Pokémon. A Water and Bug type and the evolved form of Dewpider." Lincoln's Pokédex said. "It delivers head-butts with the water bubble on its head. Small Pokémon get sucked into the bubble, where they drown."

"I guess that means that Araquanid is the boss of this group." Stella admitted.

"Araquanid Ara!" Araquanid yelled in anger while pointing it's left front leg at Lincoln and his friends.

"Hey, I get it! You and all these Dewpider think we tried kidnapping your little friend, but that's not what happened!" Lincoln stated. "We only wanted to help Dewpider because he was injured!"

Dewpider only stared at Lincoln in admiration as he took a liking to his bravery and standing up for his friends, but Araquanid only hissed again as it didn't believe the white haired boy.

"They're still not convinced." Stella said in concern.

"Okay then, how about we make a deal?" Lincoln suggested, much to Araquanid's confusion. "Let's have a normal Pokémon battle. If I win, you let me and my friends go. If you win, we'll accept whatever punishment you have I store."

"We will?!" Clyde asked in disbelief.

"Squirtle Squirtle!" Squirtle panicked.

Araquanid thought about this suggestion for a moment as all the Dewpider in its group stared at him in anticipation. After putting so much thought into it, Araquanid came to a decision and stared back at Lincoln.

"Araquanid!" The evolved Water/Bug type said loudly.

"I think that's a yes!" Stella theorised.

"Great! Then it's me, Scorbunny and Tranquil against you, Araquanid!" Lincoln declared.

"Scorbun/Tranq!" Scorbunny and Tranquil said in agreement.

"Please win this for our sake, Lincoln." Clyde begged.

"Don't worry, Clyde. There is no way I'm going to lose." Lincoln reassured.

Scorbunny and Tranquil stood battle ready as they both glared at Araquanid, who did the same thing with all the Dewpider watching.

"We get the first attack! Scorbunny, use Ember! And, Tranquil, use Razor Wind!" Lincoln ordered.

Scorbunny and Tranquil fired their respective attacks at Araquanid, who was hit by them both at the same time. However, the evolved Water/Bug type seemed to be unharmed.

"That didn't do anything!" Stella exclaimed in surprise.

Araquanid then shot a multicoloured beam of freezing energy, which hit Scorbunny and made him crash against the grassy floor. Next, the Water/Bug type made large jaws of energy appear in front of its face and clamped them down onto Tranquil before he could do anything.

"That was a powerful Aurora Beam, along with a nasty Crunch!" Clyde remarked worriedly.

"You need to do something different, Lincoln!" Stella called out.

"Right! We'll just confuse Araquanid from different places!" Lincoln announced. "Scorbunny, use Quick Attack to run circles around it!"

Scorbunny quickly recovered and ran straight up to Araquanid at incredible speeds before he started running right around the Water Bubble Pokémon, causing it to look around drastically for a clear shot at Scorbunny.

"Tranquil, use Double Team!" Lincoln called.

Tranquil then started to make multiple fake copies of himself and Araquanid grew even more confused as it couldn't figure out which one was the real Normal/Flying type.

"We've got Araquanid in a tough spot now!" Lincoln said confidently. "Use Double Kick and Aerial Ace, now!"

Scorbunny stopped running around Araquanid and kicked the Water Bubble Pokémon two times in the face, much to the Dewpider group's shock. The real Tranquil then flew straight down at great flying speed and struck Araquanid three times with Aerial Ace.

"Alright! Those were both super powerful hits!" Stella remarked.

"Snivy/Ralts!" Snivy and Ralts said in cheerfulness.

"Time for us to win! Tranquil, get ready to use Air Slash!" Lincoln instructed.

"Quil!" Tranquil said as he prepared to use his Flying type attack.

But then, Araquanid made a quick recovery and fired a very powerful stream of water that blasted Tranquil and made him fall down.

"Hydro Pump?!" Lincoln asked shockingly.

Araquanid then fired Aurora Beam directly at the descending Tranquil and it made contact, creating a big explosion that Tranquil fell out off and crashed onto the ground.

"Tranquil!" Lincoln exclaimed as he saw his Wild Pigeon Pokémon had fainted.

"Okay, that Araquanid is definitely not messing around!" Clyde commented, feeling even more worried.

"It's all down to Scorbunny, now!" Stella admitted as Lincoln returned Tranquil to his Pokeball.

"I know." Lincoln said in concern, looking down at his Fire type Starter. "Do you think you can do this on your own, Scorbunny?"

"Scor." Scorbunny replied, feeling a bit unsure.

Araquanid glared towards its remaining foe as all the Dewpider let out happy cries for their leader, except the one Lincoln befriended. Dewpider was watching Lincoln and Scorbunny with a worried and sympathetic expression as he knew the ones who helped treat his wounded leg didn't deserve this.

"Get ready, partner!" Lincoln warned.

Araquanid prepared to use Hydro Pump again, but then Dewpider put on a determined glare and jumped right over his group before firing Bubble Beam directly at Araquanid's face, making it cease its attack and leaving everyone shocked.

"Dewpider?! You just helped us?!" Lincoln asked astonishingly.

"Dewpider!" Dewpider replied with a nod. "Dew Dewpider!"

"Scorbun?" Scorbunny questioned.

"I think Dewpider wants to help you out, Lincoln!" Stella realised.

"That's obvious, since you helped him out before and he's just wanting to return the favour!" Clyde said. "Even if it means fighting his own leader!"

"Really? Thanks a lot, Dewpider!" Lincoln said kindly.

"Dew!" Dewpider nodded, smiling at the white haired boy.

When Araquanid recovered, it was very mad to see that one of the members of its group was siding with Lincoln and Scorbunny and launched Aurora Beam. However, Dewpider's water bubble grew larger and more shinier and the Ice type attack reflected right off when it made contact, blasting into Araquanid with a tremendous amount of power.

"Wow, what was that?!" Lincoln asked in amazement.

"That was Mirror Coat! It deflects attacks and deals twice more damage to the user!" Clyde answered.

"Perfect! Okay then, Scorbunny, use Quick Attack!" Lincoln ordered.

"Scor!" Scorbunny replied before he rammed straight into Araquanid with great speed.

"Now use Super Fang!" Lincoln called.

Scorbunny quickly prepared to use Super Fang, but Araquanid also attempted to use a more powerful Crunch attack in response. Dewpider saw this and used Headbutt on his former leader, making him cancel his attack and allowing Scorbunny to land a powerful hit with Super Fang.

"Yes! Way to work together, you two!" Lincoln remarked proudly, causing Scorbunny and Dewpider to give happy responses.

Not being able to sustain the damage from two attacks at once, Araquanid ended up collapsing onto the ground and all the other Dewpider were horrified to see their leader defeated before they all approached the evolved Water/Bug type. Araquanid slowly regained consciousness and looked at Lincoln, who glared at the Water Bubble Pokémon.

"We've won the battle. Now, are you gonna let me and my friends go?" Lincoln asked, narrowing his eyes.

Araquanid could only growl in defeat and nod in response before it stood up weakly and began limping away into one of the nearby pods, but not without shooting a stern glare towards Dewpider. All the other Dewpider followed their leader into many more ponds.

"And that's it! We did it, Scorbunny and Dewpider!" Lincoln announced with a grin. "You two were so awesome working together!"

"Scorbunny!" Scorbunny replied, smiling proudly for himself.

"Dewpider, Dew!" Dewpider added.

"Okay, we're very proud of you and your little friends, Lincoln. But now, can you free us?" Stella asked, referring to the fact she, Clyde and their Pokémon were still trapped in Spider Web threads.

"I need to move my arms and legs, buddy!" Clyde pleaded.

Squirtle, Snivy and Ralts let out their own cries of desperateness, wanting to get out of the webs.

"Okay, you guys, we'll help you out." Lincoln assured sheepishly as he, Scorbunny and Dewpider walked up to them to free them all.

(Linebreak)

Later on after they returned their Pokémon to their Pokeballs, Lincoln, Clyde and Stella were seen near the other end of the pond area while looking down at Dewpider.

"You know, Dewpider, you really helped us out today." Lincoln said. "A few minutes ago, you acted pretty hostile and didn't like us. But now, you're all friendly towards us."

"Dewpider." Dewpider said with a kind smile.

"Yeah, you really did come through for us in the end." Stella commented.

"And that got me thinking of an idea. Dewpider…would you like to join my team?" Lincoln asked, much to the Water Bubble Pokémon's surprise. "The way you helped us beat that Araquanid and saved us from all your former buddies was very great. I could use a cool Pokémon like you on my mission to become the new Champion of Michigan."

"He would use that as an excuse." Clyde whispered to himself, smiling a bit.

Dewpider thought very hard about this opportunity Lincoln was presenting to him and he did like the idea of joining a Trainer who could potentially give him a better life outside of a boring pond.

"Dewpider, Dew Dewpider!" Dewpider announced enthusiastically.

"I knew you'd say the right answer." Lincoln remarked, bringing out a Pokeball. "Go, Pokeball!"

The white haired boy tossed his Pokeball at Dewpider and the Water/Bug type was zapped into it once it made contact. The Pokeball shifted around on the ground a few times before it then made a ping sound to signal a successful capture.

"Yes!" Lincoln cheered in happiness, picking up the Pokeball containing his new Dewpider. "That's a third Pokémon for my team!"

"I'm sure you and Dewpider are gonna get along well, buddy." Clyde told his best friend.

"And you're gonna have much more strength on your side for that first Gym Battle." Stella added kindly.

"I know I will. But first, we've got to get to your first Contest, Stella." Lincoln reminded.

"True. If that's the case, let's keep moving forward." Stella replied before the trio continued on their way towards Coulfort Town.
