So far, nothing is working the way MK hoped. Chloe's being nice.
"Are you sure it's Asian people she's discriminating against?" Julia asked.
"You think she's discriminating against bald people?" Cameron asked.
"Doesn't matter who she's discriminating against," MK said. "You have to get her to admit it by all means necessary."
"Right," Julia said. "Keep the cameras rolling."
Julia went back over to Chloe.
"So," she started. "When does this new guy start?"
"He doesn't," Chloe answered.
"Why? Out of lockers?"
"Julia! The boss is here. Understand?"
"Ok."
"Listen to me. I have to pretend to hire this guy."
"Pretend to hire?"
"You heard me. The second the general leaves, this application goes in the garbage."
"Why the garbage?"
"Julia, can I trust you?"
"Aye, aye, boss."
"Truth is, I don't hire Asian people."
Unfortunately, Julia missed what she said because the hat fell, and she had to pick it up.
"Could you say that again?" Julia asked. "I'm sorry, but my hat fell off."
"Okay," Chloe told her. "I said Truth is, I don't hire Asian people."
That very thing she said? It then transitions from it being spoken into the camera to it being said on the television.
"And there you have it," Nora O'Donnell said. "Shocking evidence of job discrimination right here in New York City. We can't thank MK, Julia, Cameron Wilkins, and Cody E.T. Jameson enough for leading the way in taking a stand and for going undercover for us."
"Nice job guys," Lillie said.
"I really don't think you should be laughing, because that might be you in about 30 years," MK said.
Nora then went on to say, "as a result of this investigation, the manager Chloe hunter has been fired, and the company has issued a public apology."
"See?" Courtney started commenting. "Young or old, you guys can make a difference."
"You guys showed a lot of courage," Peter said.
"As long as there's people like that out there, it's up to us to stand up to them," Julia said.
"Yeah," MK commented. "I'm glad we did it together, you guys."
"Totally," Millie said. "Hey, do you have any more of that Asian food left?"
"If we work as a team," Ellody said. "I think we can make it happen."
"Let's get to work," Sky said. "But Lillie, leave the stove and knives to us. I don't want you cutting or burning yourself."
"Alright," Lillie said. "And after that, Ms. Kitty and I can teach you some K-Pop dances." Everyone laughed.
However, about an hour later, that's exactly what they did.
"Priya," Millie started. Shouldn't you be working on your history project?"
"It's all finished," Priya answered. "500 words of gold."
"So, who'd you finally write about?" Julia asked.
"Jackie Chan," Priya answered. "I can't wait to turn it into my teacher tomorrow."
"Tomorrow?" Gwen asked.
"It's not due until next week," Priya asked. "I figured I might as well get it done and out of the way."
"Meanwhile," Mary started. "When you say Jackie Chan, do you mean?"
"Yep," Priya answered. "That karate master turned Oscar award winning actor."
"How'd you meet him?" Lindsay asked.
"After Kitty and Lillie gave me that massage," Priya started answering. "I saw him while in dreamland. He introduced me to the driving force behind the building of the bullet train, Asian human rights activists and Olympic gold medal winner Samuel Lee."
"I knew someone had to beat me to that gold medal," Sky said.
"Meanwhile," Ellody started commenting. "That must have been quite a dream."
"Also," Gwen said. "What kind of massage did they give you anyway?"
"We massaged Priya's back with our feet," Kitty answered.
"Let me guess," Mary said. "Ashiatsu?"
"Correct," Kitty said.
Everyone looked at each other with smiles knowing that they made a huge difference, and so can you.
The end.
