Chapter Seven: The Hyena Encounter

With the hyenas closing in, Fuli turned and ran the other way, Bongo whimpering with fear as she held him in her mouth. "It's okay, Bongo. I'll keep you safe," she reassured him, her voice muffled.

As she sprinted through the savannah, the path ahead suddenly led to a steep fall into the Outlands. Fuli skidded to a halt, realizing she was cornered. Turning around, she faced Janja and his pack.

Janja: "Well, well, well. If it isn't Fuli and a baby baboon." He sneered, his eyes gleaming with malicious intent.

Cheezi: "Aww, the baboon is so cute." He cooed.

Chungu: "Yeah, it is so cute." He echoed.

Janja: "Would you two fur-brains, shut it!" He snapped, irritated by their distraction.

Cheezi and Chungu: "Sorry, Janja." They muttered in unison.

Fuli gently placed Bongo on the ground, and he immediately cowered behind her, clinging to her leg. "Janja, I'm going to give you one last chance! Walk away and leave Bongo alone!"

Janja: "Aww, the baboon has a name. It won't matter anymore, once we eat him." He taunted, grinning wickedly.

Fuli: "Rawwwrr!" She snarled angrily, baring her teeth.

Janja: "Alright boys, it's time to have a baby baboon and a cheetah for lunch!" He declared, and the hyenas began to close in, growling menacingly.

Fuli: "Stay behind me, Bongo. I won't let the hyenas hurt you." She said, her eyes never leaving the advancing hyenas.

Janja: "Get 'em, boys!" He ordered.

Fuli fought valiantly, fending off the hyenas with swift, powerful strikes. But she was outnumbered, and the relentless attack began to overwhelm her. "I'm warning you hyenas! Stay back!" she shouted.

The hyenas just cackled evilly. "You think you can beat us all, Fuli? Ha!" Janja mocked.

With a fierce growl, Fuli tackled Janja to the ground. "Hey, get off me!" Janja yelled, struggling beneath her.

Fuli: "Grrrrrr!" She growled, refusing to let him go.

Janja: "Cheezi, Chungu, get the baboon!" He ordered.

Cheezi and Chungu: "Okay, Janja." They replied, turning their attention to Bongo.

"No!" Fuli cried out, but she was too late. Janja managed to push her off him. Cheezi and Chungu lunged at Bongo, but the nimble baboon dodged them, causing them to collide with each other.

Janja: "Oh, you fur-brains! Fine, I'll get the baboon myself!" He snarled, frustration evident in his voice. He charged towards Bongo, who had nowhere to run except towards the steep fall into the Outlands.

Bongo whimpered, trapped and terrified. "Oh no, you don't! Huwezi!" Fuli shouted, using her speed to intercept Janja.

Janja: "Oh, not again." He muttered as Fuli tackled him once more.

In the chaos, two other hyenas cornered Bongo, pushing him towards the edge. Bongo lost his balance and slipped over the edge, sliding down the steep slope.

"Bongo!" Fuli screamed, diving after him without hesitation. She caught him by the scruff of his neck as they both tumbled down into the Outlands.

Janja:"Looks like we can get to eat the baboon in our territory." He grinned, watching them disappear below. He and his hyena clan took a different route, determined to catch up to their prey.
