In the polar region of Lyoko, everything appears to be quiet until Yumi and Aelita ran across the ice road.

"Thirty degrees north!" Jeremy said.

They continue to run towards the rendezvous point.

"You should be able to see it by now!" He monitors them.

"No kidding!"

"It sticks out like sore thumb!" Yumi said.

They stopped at the deactivated tower and carefully looking out for any XANA's monsters.

"And there's nothing happening. It's awfully calm."

"Well, be careful, you never know." Jeremy said.

Once the coast is clear, Aelita enters the tower and walks to the center of the platform. She floats up to the top platform and reached it to contact Jeremy.

"Yoo-hoo! Hi Jeremy, I don't see anything out of ordinary in the tower." She said. "Are you sure it's the right one?"

"That was what the scan picked up at least for a few second."

Outside of the tower, Yumi heard something, but saw nothing and couldn't help, but feeling cautious that something is watching her.

"And you said you felt pulsations a while ago, didn't you?" Jeremy inquired.

"I did. Well, let's say yes and no." Aelita said, "I'm not sure I did anymore. I thought I did."

"Okay then…"

"I'll go and try-"

Out of nowhere, Aelita heard Yumi's scream from outside the tower.

"Ugh!" He yelped when he heard her scream as well.

"Sounds like Yumi!" She noted.

"What's going on? Can you hear me, Yumi?" Jeremy called, but no answers.

He then try to locate her in the polar region and found nothing.

"Answer me? Yumi!"

"Jeremy, Yumi's disappeared!" Aelita said.

"What? Come on, she couldn't have just vanished!"

In the scanner room, one of the scanners opens as Yumi's avatar is dissipated.

"Aelita, hold on. I'll get back to you!" Jeremy got up from the seat.

"Jeremy? Jeremy!"

Jeremy went to the elevator and heads down to the scanner room to check it out.

"Hey, Yumi!" He called before approaching the scanner she's in and found her, lying unconscious. "Yumi?"

At Kadic, Odd, Ulrich, and Kenny is hanging around by the caffeine vending machine. Odd pressed the button on the vending machine and it gives out his beverage.

"Erk! Hey, what's wrong with the hot chocolate today?" Odd complained, "It tastes like dirty sweat socks and an old pair of sneakers!"

"Odd, the gourmet!" Ulrich joked.

"Yoohoo!" They turned to see Sissi, running towards them, "Hey! Ulrich! Yoohoooo!"

"Speak of the devil…" Kenny sighed.

"Uh-oh! What do you know, your fanclub!" Odd frowned and dumped the cup in the trash.

"I don't believe it! Your darling Yumi's deserted you for once?" She sneered.

"Like your brain, huh? It deserted you a long time ago!" Odd teased.

Sissi was insulted as Kenny and Ulrich laughed until Ulrich's cellphone rang. He answered as Sissi gets the caffeine from the vending machine.

"Hello? Oh, it's you, Jeremy."

"I recommend the hot chocolate. Take my word for it." Odd advised.

"Mn-hmm, What?" Ulrich said.

A few minutes later, The boys carried Yumi in the nurse office after being informed by Jeremy.

"Okay, easy does it." Jeremy told them as they placed her in bed before they walked away from it.

"Well then, what happened to her?" Nurse Yolanda asked.

"Uh…well she started feeling sick…during recess!" Jeremy said, making it up.

"It's 'cause she's been studying real hard!" Odd added, "Our teachers give us way too much homework!"

"Yeah, she might have a severe headache since Yumi has been working too hard lately." Kenny added.

"All right, I'll take care of her." She said, "Now back to class, all of you."

The boys stood for a minute, wanting what happened to their friend.

"You heard what I said! Now go, go on!"

The boys left the nurse office with Jeremy closed the door on their way out. Nurse Yolanda checked her pulse before Yumi woke up after being attacked by unseen force in Lyoko.

"Well, feeling better?" She asked.

Yumi said nothing and got up.

"Hey! No, no, no! Lie down now, you hear? You need to rest!"

Giving her an obscure look, Yumi grabbed her arm and threw her onto the bed and left.

Meanwhile, the boys standing by the cafeteria as Jeremy told them about what happened to Yumi.

"Are you sure she wasn't hit by a laser? Maybe it was a Megatank hiding somewhere." Ulrich guessed.

"No, no. I would have seen it on the screen." Jeremy said, "She still had her life points when she was devirtualized."

"Well, in any case, something abnormal happened."

"Yeah, that's for sure."

"But what kind of monster attacked Yumi when she still has all her life points?" Kenny wondered.

"Who knows, it didn't show up on the screen." Jeremy said, "Almost if it was something that can masked itself without being detected by me."

"Then I'm guessing XANA might be pulling something nasty surprise for us, but that doesn't explain why Yumi is devirtualized after being attacked by something."

"I don't know, but the proof is she passed out in the scanner! Normally the return trip's pretty easy!"

"Huh! That's what you think! You ought to try it one of these days, you'll love it!" Odd exclaimed.

As they pondered about it, they look behind the cafeteria to see Yumi.

"Oh! Yumi!" He called her.

Yumi looked at the group.

"Guess you're feeling better, huh?" Odd said.

"You had us scared." Ulrich said.

"Tell us what happened?" Jeremy asked.

"Do you remember what attacked you in Lyoko?" Kenny asked.

Yumi said nothing before turning away, but Ulrich stopped her.

"You sure you're okay?" Ulrich asked, concerned.

"Yeah." She said.

"Really?" Jeremy inquired.

"I'm just tired." Yumi held her head.

"Yumi, tell us what happened in Lyoko?"

"Nothing, you're hear? Come on, let's go over to the factory now!"

"Right now?" Kenny said, surprised

"In your condition? That's pretty crazy idea." Ulrich said.

"Hey listen, we've got more important things to do! Like eating, for example!" Odd joked, but Yumi isn't laughing as see walks to the cafeteria. "Hey…!"

Odd looked them, shrugging about her unusual behavior.

"What about Aelita? Is she safe?" Ulrich asked.

"Yeah, I hope so." Jeremy said, "I told her to stay in the tower."

In Lyoko, Aelita is studying the real world in the interface before signing off.

"I've got to go and check it out!" She said.

As she's about to leave the tower, there's a strange orb that is appeared on the ice peak that's behind the tower.

At the cafeteria, Odd is eating the spaghetti and meatballs as Yumi just sit there.

"And you really can't remember what happened?" Jeremy questioned.

"No, nothing." She said,

"Not even what attacks you?" Kenny asked.

"No, I was knocked out."

"Do you think it could come from the scanners?" Ulrich said, "A bug or something like that?"

"Unless it's XANA trying a new way of attacking." Odd said.

"I haven't had the slightest idea." Jeremy said, "I'm wondering if all these transfers aren't becoming a health problem."

As they discuss, Sissi shows up by the group's table.

"Hey, do I smell fish or just cheap perfume?" Odd teased.

"You're such a riot!" Sissi hissed before turning to Ul, "Uh, Ulrich? What do you say we get together after school?"

"Get together with you? Very tempting, but uh…not!" Ulrich said,

Kenny, Odd, and Jeremy laughed, but Yumi.

"Oh…you're showing off because Yumi's here, huh? Mademoiselle likes to keep the competition as far away as she can!"

"That's not true!" Yumi said, "Why don't you go out with her? She's really pretty!"

"Huh?!" The boys gasped.

"Hey…you wouldn't be…trying to make fun of me, would you?" Sissi asked, but Yumi looked up at here, then looked down. "No? Ha, great! Thanks a lot, Yumi! Ulrich? I'll be waiting for you in the park after school! Ciao!"

"Hey, what are you trying to pull anyway, huh?" Ulrich said.

"Nothing! Go on, go out with her! She's been waiting for this for ages, go on!" Yumi said.

Principal Delmas shows up to the table.

"Miss Ishiyama, come to my office right now!" He said, sternly.

When the principal took her to his office, Kenny looked at her, wondering why Yumi is acting strange after what happened in Lyoko.

Meanwhile, Aelita notice something strange on top of the ice peak.

"But that thing wasn't there before." She noted, "It looks like a Guardian."

Aelita looked back at he tower before went up there to investigate this Guardian until the laser stops her and she took cover from the laser fire.

From the top of the ice peak, the Guardian is guarded by three Roachsters.

In the real world, The boys is discussing about Yumi's behavior.

"What's going with Yumi?! Is she mad at me or what?!" Ulrich exclaimed. "I've never seen her like that!

"She must have had a serious shock." Jeremy guessed.

"Did any of you guys missed the part where she wasn't laughing at Odd's jokes?" Kenny said, "Or telling Sissi off or something."

"Maybe she must've hit her head really hard." Odd guessed.

"Somehow that's hardly a case, Odd."

"Whatever happened to her, we need to talk to her about why is she's like that." Ulrich said.

"Ulrich!" They turned to see Herve and Nicholas, stomping towards the group with upset look.

"Oh, great!" Kenny groaned.

"What's the big idea having a date with Sissi, huh?!" He demanded.

"This isn't the time for that, you hear, Herve?!" Jeremy said, "If you want an explanation, go and ask Sissi!"

They walked away from them as Herve still has a look.

"Ok, I'll leave you to your love stories! I've got a super-psychopathic computer to feed!"

At Principal Delmas' office, the principal was very disappointed and angry about Yumi's unruly action.

"Yumi, this is unspeakable!" He frowned, "Our nurse Dorothy is still upset! How could you have done such a thing?! I'm giving you two hours of detention in the library to teach you a lesson!"

Yumi just stood there, looking at him.

"Well, go on!"

Yumi still not moving, despite Principal Delmas' warnings.

"There's something troubling you, Yumi?" He asked as she said nothing, "Care to tell me about it? Yumi, I'm here to help you; that's part of my job."

Yumi just stood there, ignoring the principal.

"Very well, keep this up and I'll have to inform your parents about the way you're behaving."

"Not my parents!" She said.

"That's enough, miss Ishiyama!"

He looked at the telephone and decide to call her parents, but Yumi stopped him.

"What?! But… get your hand off the phone right now!"

"Not my parents!"

"I won't warn you again, Yumi! If you keep this up, I'll suspend you!"

Yumi took the phone and struck him down. What's shocking is that Yumi has a mark of XANA on her forehead. She dropped the phone and left the office as Jim sees her.

"Hello there, Yumi!" Jim greeted her.

Much to his confusion, Yumi walked passed him without a word.

In Jeremy's room, he contacts Aelita, who told him what she saw and found.

"As soon as I got close to the monsters, they started to shoot!" She told him.

"You shouldn't have left the tower, Aelita." He said.

"I know. You're not too mad at me, are you?"

"Mad? No. Besides, I think you made an important discovery." Jeremy said, "This could have something to do with what happened to Yumi."

"Should I go back there?"

"Now hold on, I'll send Ulrich, Odd, and Kenny as backup."

"Jeremy, what happened to Yumi might happen to one of your friends or the three of them. If they came to Lyoko now, it could be very dangerous for them."

"I guess you're right." He said as the door opens behind him. "Go on then but promise me you'll be careful."

"You know me."

"Huh?" He turned around to see Yumi. "Oh, it's you. What did the principal want?"

"We have to go to the factory now." XANA-Yumi said.

"Oh no. Forget it." Jeremy declined. "First of all, there's no reason to go and second, you have to rest."

He went back on his computer to check the scans on any activated tower.

"I have to go to the scanner room."

"No! Nobody is going back to Lyoko until I give the order! It's too dangerous! I've got some tests I have to run first."

Yumi turns Jeremy around.

"Hey! It's important, you hear! I have to go back to the scanner room!"

Yumi places her hand on his shoulder.

"Uh…uh…Yumi…w-what are you trying to-" He stammered.

"Shh!" XANA-Yumi took his glasses off.

"I…uh…I'm not sure it's a good idea! You should go home and get some rest!" Jeremy said, flustered.

"Come on, take me to the scanner room!"

Yumi's face is slowly closer to his face.

"Uh…b-b-b-b-m-m-you should go home and take a bath! No, a cold shower! Very cold! Very, very, very cold! It'll calm you down!" He stuttered, blushed and sweat.

Without warning, Ulrich comes in without knocking along with Odd and Kenny.

"Jeremy! Hurry up, we gotta get going…"

Ulrich, Odd, and Kenny gasped in shock as Jeremy and XANA-Yumi did. Furious by the sight of it, Ulrich leaves without a word.

"Ulrich! No, wait! I-it's not what you think! I swear, Ulrich! Wait!" He pleaded as he catches up to him.

"Bravo!" Odd frowned at her and left.

"Nice going!" Kenny frowned before heading to class.

XANA-Yumi looked at the Jeremy's computer, smirking.

Back in Lyoko, Aelita is hiding behind the ice rock while thinking how to get closer without getting hit be Roachster's lasers.

"Okay, time to go!" She hid behind the rock before sprinting to the cave.

The Roachsters spotted Aelita and blast her. Aelita evaded from the laser attack and made it inside without getting hit by their lasers. She hid inside and found the slope that leads to the top of the peak.

At science class, Jeremy still hasn't stop thinking about what happen with Yumi.

"And we can also observe cases of parthenogenesis among certain insects." Ms. Hertz lectured, "This phenomenon is relatively common and comparable to a sort of natural cloning. That is to say the animal gives birth to a replica of itself; an exact replica with no difference between them. Scientist have succeeded in employing this process…"

Jeremy looked back to Ulrich, who looked down, and Odd, who blew his tongue at him.

"…with rabbits. All right, we'll continue with subject tomorrow."

The school bell rang as class is dismissed. The students walks out of class as Ulrich went the other way.

"Ulrich! You have to listen!" Jeremy said, grabbing his arm.

"I don't wanna listen to you!" Ulrich snapped.

"Ugh…something's not right with Yumi!" he explained as Odd walked by him. "She's not in her normal state! I don't know what she's been through, but she's traumatized!"

"Okay, let's go."

At Lyoko, Aelita sneak behind the Roachsters and quietly approached the Guardian.

"Oh no!" She gasped.

Heard her voice, the Roachster fires at Aelita, who jumps away from it.

On their way to Jeremy's room, the group met up with Kenny, who told them that Yumi is not in his class at all which is very strange that she never skips class unless XANA is attacking.

"What do you think this phenomenon is?" Ulrich asked.

"I wish I tell you but I have no idea." He said, approaching his door. "Aelita is checking it out. It could be XANA's doing." He turns the key to the door. "I forgot to lock the door."

When he opens the door, they gasped in shock as his computer and equipment is ruined and trashed.

"Oh! All my equipment!" Jeremy gasped, holding his keyboard.

"You think Sissi's behind all this?" Ulrich said.

"Why would she want to do it?" Jeremy questioned.

"Hey maybe it's Herb, he sure was mad when we saw him today!" Odd guessed.

"Herve? He was too much of the nerd to do all this mess!" Kenny exclaimed.

"Wait, who was the last one to leave this room?" Jeremy asked.

"Oh no." Ulrich remembers Yumi is in his room before class. "No, that's impossible! Not Yumi!"

"Huh! You gotta admit she's been acting weird lately!" Odd said.

"Okay, Yumi hasn't been herself lately, that's right, but still, The enemy is XANA! Jeremy's right! XANA's launched an attack! And I'm sure all this…other stuff is to distract us while calmly and quietly getting rid of Aelita."

"Aelita! She's all alone in Lyoko and we can't get to her!" Jeremy said as XANA-Yumi shows up behind them.

"Are we going to scanner room?" She demanded

She looked at the group, who each of them has a suspicious look about her unusual behavior.

"Yeah, let's go."

The group heads to the factory and into the elevator that goes down to the scanner room. Nobody said a word since XANA is attacking but where. Jeremy is in the lab, starting up the transfer process as the rest of them is in the scanner room.

"Go on. Do your stuff, Jeremy!" Odd told him.

"Are you ready? Here we go!" He pressed the enter key button.

"Transfer, Ulrich! Transfer, Odd!"

Ulrich and Odd steps inside the scanners first.

"Scanning, Ulrich! Scanning Odd!"

He scans them.

"Virtualization!"

Odd and Ulrich is virtualized in Lyoko.

Ulrich and Odd is virtualized and landed in the ice regions as they look around and wait for Kenny and Yumi.

"All right, you two go next." Jeremy said.

Kenny and Yumi steps inside the scanners.

"Transfer, Kenny! Transfer, Yumi!"

Before the scanner closes, Yumi stops it from closing it.

"Scanner, Kenny! Scanner, Yumi!"

Jeremy scans them.

"Virtualization!"

Kenny is virtualized to Lyoko.

Kenny is virtualized and landed on ice region.

XANA-Yumi steps out of the scanner before the virtualization process is finished.

"Where's Yumi?" Ulrich noticed she's not here with them.

"Huh?" Kenny confused before looking around. "That's weird, I thought she was virtualize last with me."

"What? She's not here with you?" Jeremy questioned.

"No, she wasn't transferred!" Ulrich said.

Aelita was being chased by three Roachsters as the pulsations is beating on the ground.

"Over there!" Odd pointed where the noise is.

They see her with Roachsters behind her as the boys ran towards her.

Ulrich readied his sword as the Roachster fires the laser at her, but Ulrich reflected the laser back at it, destroying it.

"Laser Arrow!" Odd shoots the second Roachster, destroying it.

Kenny fires his energy cog at the third Roachster, destroying it as well.

"Hurry, we've got to go and free Yumi!" Aelita told them.

"Yumi? Yumi's not…" Ulrich begins.

"The real Yumi!"

"The real Yumi?" Kenny questioned.

"Yes, the one who's here on Lyoko, the other one was created by XANA!"

She looked up at the Guardian with Yumi in it.

"But if she's in there, then…Oh no!" He realized.

"Jeremy, whatever you do, don't go anywhere near Yumi." She warned him, but he left to check it out. "Do you hear me, Jeremy? Jeremy?!"

Jeremy went down with elevator as XANA-Yumi is pulling the connectors from the scanner. When Jeremy arrives, he sees her disconnecting the cables from the scanner.

"Yumi?! What are you doing?!"

She looks up at him and drops the cable, feeling hurt. While Jeremy inspects the cable she pulls, he looks up to see her fist to his face.

In Lyoko, the group sneaks to the ice peak to reach the Guardian.

"Now!" Ulrich yelled.

"Laser Arrow!" Odd shoots, getting its attention as Ulrich sprints in while Kenny stays with Aelita.

XANA-Yumi laughed, evilly as Jeremy is knocked, unconscious.

Ulrich sneaks behind the Guardian as he readied his sword before the last Roachster spotted him and fires at Ulrich, who deflect the laser and it ricochet the ice back to the last monster.

"So this is the one that traps Yumi inside?" Kenny said.

"Yes, it's a Guardian; a sort of digital jail, adapted to the body imprisoned in it." She explained.

Ulrich stabbed the strange orb while Kenny tried cutting it open with cog blade, but it repels them.

"I can't destroy it with my weapons!" Ulrich said.

"Neither did I!" Kenny said.

"I can create a clone; a false image of Yumi!" Aelita suggested. "We can try convinced the Guardian that he's mistaken."

Ulrich looked at the Guardian, then at Aelita.

"Okay, let's go!"

Aelita knelts down and lets out her harmonic voice, creating a false image of Yumi. The Guardian is reacting to it and starting to imploded.

"Huh, wow! Piece of cake!" Odd remarked.

While Jeremy is unconscious, XANA-Yumi is approaching the second scanner.

Yumi's vision is dazing until it is clear and sees Ulrich.

"Yumi?"

"What? What happened?" She asked as Odd shows up.

"Sorry, no time to explain! We've got to deactivate the tower!" He said.

"Jeremy is not responding! I don't understand!" Aelita said, concerned. "I have the feeling that something's wrong!"

"He's all alone with the other one. If she destroys the scanner, it's all over!"

"Meaning it's game over for us!" Kenny said.

"Other? The other what? Who wants to wreck the scanner?" Yumi questioned.

"The other…you." Odd exclaimed.

It became a shock to Yumi that there is an other one that looks like her.

XANA-Yumi begins pulling the connectors from the second scanner.

"What if something happens to Jeremy? And what if don't manage to deactivate the tower in time?" Yumi said.

"She's right. I think one of us has to go back and stopped that clone from destroying the scanners." Kenny said.

"Then I'll go." Ulrich decided.

"No, it's better if I go. I don't know how many life points I have left, Ulrich and if I have five or ten, I won't be of use to you here!" Yumi argued. "And also, I have a little matter to deal with that only I can settle…it's between me and myself."

"Then you go. But first you have to devirtualize yourself, the question is how."

"You're armed, aren't you?"

Ulrich looked down at his sword, thinking what she's thinking.

As XANA-Yumi begins disconnecting the cable from the last scanner, Yumi came out of the scanner.

"You know what? You look just like me when I'm having a bad day!" Yumi remarked.

XANA-Yumi gets in fighting stance as Yumi did. XANA-Yumi throws her sidekick, knocking against he scanner.

Odd looks down at the red tower that is guarded by three more Roachsters.

"Uh oh, we've got company!" He said.

"Odd, watch out!" Aelita warned. "On your right!"

The Roachster shoots Odd, hitting him in his chest before Ulrich rolls in to help him.

"How many life points do I have left?" He asked.

"Uh…I don't know, but it's got to be less than 10 by now!" Odd guessed.

Jeremy groaned and woke up to see XANA-Yumi rips open the hatch. Yumi came around attack her clone with chop hand, XANA-Yumi brings up the ripped hatch to block her punch, causing Yumi to be rebounded.

"Yumi!" he said.

The Roachster shoots and hit Odd, who quickly recovers and cartwheeled away from it.

"I'm still here? Well, I guess I messed up in my calculations!" Odd said while Kenny stays with Aelita.

"You always were a washout in math!" Ulrich remarked.

"Right, but thanks to you I can count to three!"

Yumi braced herself from her clone's final blow, but Jeremy got up and pushed her to the hole to the Supercomputer room. He went to check it and gasped.

Ulrich ran towards the Roachsters.

"Triplicate!" He splits to three clones until one Roachsters shoots the clone as the other two jumps up and slashed the remaining Roachsters. "Fusion!" He unites the clone to himself. "Aelita, you're up!"

Aelita ran to the tower and enters the tower.

XANA-Yumi reaches up and grabbed Jeremy.

She approaches to the center of the platform.

The clone grabbed him up as Yumi limbs to help Jeremy.

Aelita floats up and reached the top platform. She approached the interface and placed her hand on it.

Aelita…

XANA-Yumi holds Jeremy up while Yumi crawls up to the until she sees her clone is about to drop him down in the hole.

The data interface around Aelita is flowing down to the bottom of tower.

Jeremy is fall down, screaming as XANA-Yumi disappeared.

There was the flash of light at the bottom before surfacing up to the real world.

The white light engulf the falling Jeremy, then the factory, the city, and the Kadic.

The returning time has restarted to before XANA-Yumi is created as the Lyoko warriors is gathered in Jeremy's room.

"That's fantastic! The fact that XANA was able to materialize another Yumi proves one thing! It proves that materialization is really possible!" Aelita exclaimed.

"That's crazy! XANA's helping us with our materialization research!" Yumi said,

"Ironic, isn't it? That our enemy has provided us some more information that you need, Jeremy." Kenny said.

"Back to work again, Einstein?" Odd asked.

"No sweat, I'll start programming again right now!" Jeremy said.

"But why bother? If I were you, I'd go and see XANA! He's got the answers, so ask him!"

"I wouldn't trust him! Look at the Yumi he sent us!" Ulrich mentioned.

"Oh yeah, she wasn't that different from the original!" Odd added.

"She sure was! She didn't fool me! I-I saw the difference! As soon as she started to flirt with me!" Jeremy said.

"So we gotta be careful the next time XANA attacks. I mean, who's to say that he can make a clone version of any one of us." Kenny said.

"Yeah, agreed."

"Really? Are you sure? Do you have any proof that it's the real me you're looking at?" She looks at Jeremy.

"Uuuhh…w-what are you doing?" He said, blushing as Yumi took his glasses off.

"Oh no, cut it out! I've had enough of that for one day!" Ulrich intervened.

"You're not jealous, are you, Ulrich?" She teased.

"Ah!" He gasped.

"Sure looks like it!" Odd smiled.

Yumi started to laughed with him.

"You're right, Odd!" Kenny laughed as well while Ulrich pouted.

"Yeah!" Jeremy laughed.

They all laughed at his jealousy reaction.
