Sorry for not posting here much! I'm mostly on AO3. Needless to say, this fic is very toxic and depicts unhealthy relationships and body horror! Please don't read if these things trigger you in any way since it gets dark!
"That storm last night was a devastating." Tenya Iida said as he put on his jacket
"It is monsoon season, dear." His mother nonchalantly replied as she was cleaning some leftover dishes. She looked over her shoulder "And where do you think you're going?"
"I'm going to explore the local park. Apparently some trees fell due to the strong winds and there's a chance that some people or animals could have been injured and trapped under those fallen trees."
"Don't you think that's a bit dangerous for a high schooler?"
"You and father volunteer to help out all the time!" Tenya argued
"Yes honey, but we're adults."
"I just turned eighteen and I'm in my final year of high school!" Tenya pointed out "And I've helped you volunteer for events like these in the past."
"Going out alone is a different from helping as a group, Tenya. It's going to be hard not to worry about you. Even with the best intentions, you could end up needing to be rescued faster than you think."
"I'll make sure to call the authorities if I see something amiss." Tenya promised "I'm merely scouting the area."
Sensing that she was going nowhere with this, Tenya's mother reluctantly allowed her son to go out and do his part to help. She figured that of all things a teenaged son on the cusp of adulthood would beg for, begging to help after a natural disaster struck was certainly one of the more noble causes.
"Alright Tenya. Just make sure to stay safe out there."
"Thank you, mother!" Tenya cheered as he hugged her "I'll make sure to come home before it gets too dark!"
"Make sure you're taking a flashlight's that's fully charged!" his mother yelled as Tenya raced out the door.
Despite the violent monsoon the night before, the forested areas of the park were relatively intact. Part of him did feel a little disappointed that things weren't nearly as bad as he thought, but he quickly shook those thoughts away.
"I should be glad that everything seems to be alright." he told himself "the fact that there seems to be nobody hurt, be it people or wildlife means more than trying to be a hero."
In the distance, Iida heard the nose of crackling twigs. He figured that it was probably some deer that were spooked at his presence. The cracking noise continued and that registered as something really odd to him. If he scared some deer, then they would have quickly fled and the noise would have stopped. He turned towards the direction of the noise and set his flashlight to the highest setting.
To Iida's surprise, he discovered a large outcropping where he pointed his flashlight, one that was covered in a few fallen trees and dozens of fallen branches. The fact that there was noise coming from that direction meant that there was a good chance that something was trapped under all that foliage, and he ran over to it.
Iida's mind was so clouded by the tunnel vision he was experiencing that he forgot to follow through on the promise he made to his mother and call the proper authorities if he saw anything amiss.
As he got closer to the jumped mess of trees, Iida started to notice faint cries of help from under the branches. There was someone trapped under there! As soon as he heard the cries for help, Iida started racing towards the rubble.
"Please! Anyone! I need help!" it was clear that whoever was buried under the aftermath of the monsoon was a woman, she sounded no older than a high schooler like himself.
"I'm here to help!" Iida cried out, doing his best to reassure the surely traumatized woman as he scrambled towards her to dig her out. He was thankful that he was as much of an athlete as he was a scholar or else he would have been hopeless at tossing the stray branches away. Of course, Iida was also running on pure adrenaline right now. The teen remembered what he promised his mother, but he also knew that it would be stupid if he stopped to call any rescue services when there was a girl trapped right in front of him.
As soon as he removed enough foliage to get a good look at her, Iida was nearly stunned silent with shock. Not only was this woman gorgeous beyond belief but she was stark naked! If he were to be honest, the confusion of a naked girl out in the woods after a monsoon took precedence over the fact that she was outstandingly beautiful.
But the fact that she needed help was more important than anything else. Calling upon all his strength, Iida managed to lift the log that had her body pinned to the ground.
"Can you move?" he wheezed as he strained to keep the log up
The woman weakly nodded as she crawled out of the way. It was only when Iida was sure she was safe, did he put the log down before leaning on another tree to catch his breath.
Looking down on the girl, he adjusted his glasses to see if there were any visible injuries that could potentially be fatal if left untreated.
"Can you stand?"
The mysterious woman shook her head "I think…I think I broke my leg."
She sounded absolutely traumatized by the entire ordeal. Iida was afraid that she might have spent hours under trapped, thinking that she would meet a slow and painful death. He needed to do everything he could to help her.
"Well, first thing's first…" Iida took off his jacket and handed it to her "You must be freezing. Please, take this…"
"Thanks. You really saved my life right now…" The mysterious girl slowly put on Iida's jacket, and it was clear by the way she was drowning in its size that she was a good deal smaller than Iida.
"Let's get to somewhere safe. Preferably an area of this park that isn't in danger of trees falling." Iida leaned down "Do you mind if I carry you the way there?"
"I think both of my legs are broken…" the mysterious girl whimpered "I don't think I can walk."
Iida let out a sympathetic sigh "Very well then."
The girl wrapped her arms around Iida's neck as he scooped her in his arms, taking a second to adjust to make sure neither of them were uncomfortable.
"Is this fine? If you feel like my hands are anywhere they shouldn't be, please let me know."
"You're good."
"Alright, let's head off. I'm taking you to my home so we can do some basic first aids before I call an ambulance. My parents are good people, and they'll do their best to take care of you." Iida informed her
The trek through the forest connected to the park was a quiet one. Iida didn't know whether it was a good idea to start any conversations with her. Perhaps she was finally letting her ordeal sink in now that she was finally free? Instead, he took the time to investigate what was this mysterious girl's deal.
The first thing Iida noticed was despite her predicament, she looked remarkably put together, just a few scratches dotting her flawless figure. That was pretty odd for a girl with two broken legs. Her flawless…everything was setting off warnings in his mind. She was trapped for who knows how long but everything about her looked like it stepped out of photoshoot. From her fawn colored her, to her full lips…it was like she just got down with an impeccable makeup routine. He learned from some of his lady friends, how difficult it was to make sure your makeup didn't make you look like a circus clown and this woman apparently naturally looks captivating.
As if the mysterious woman could read his mind, her eyes darted to meet his and her lips curled up in a smile. Like the rest of her, the smile was picture-perfect but the abruptness of it all nearly made Iida stumble
"Mmm, aren't you a hero…" she purred, her demeanor doing a full 180
"Uh…excuse me?"
The mysterious girl didn't bother to do anything to alleviate his confusion "C'mon, you didn't even try anything when you saw a girl as hot as me, naked?"
"I wouldn't do such a thing and this isn't something we should be talking about. Don't you feel uncomfortable talking about?"
The mysterious girl laughed "You really are so naive! This is gonna way more fun than I thought!"
"What the hell are you talking about?"
The mysterious girl leapt out of Iida's arms and stretched her body "Ah! I was sitting under all that crap for so long, I think my legs fell asleep there!"
Iida glared at here "Were you just…pretending to be trapped? Is this some sort of sick joke to you?"
"Ha! You're such a good-two shoes human! The best kind to mess with!"
Iida looked around to see if there was anyone else lying in wait to ambush him. He heard stories about people pretending to be injured so their partners could attack good Samaritans, but there was nobody near them.
"Nuh-uh. I work alone." the girl chirped
"Just what is your deal?" Iida demanded
"When I came here, I figured there'd be a creep or two who'd think they'd hit the jackpot with a vulnerable and stunning girl like me. I'd kill them for a cheap laugh and do something else when I got bored."
"So you're some kind of serial killer?!" Iida questioned while chopping the air furiously
The mysterious girl let out a snort "If you kill hundreds of ants, would that make you a serial killer? I'm not gonna hurt you though. You're way too interesting…I think I'm gonna make you my pet!"
"I don't think so. You're going to jail where you belong!" Iida barked as he pulled out his phone
She didn't seem phased by the threat "Oh please…Like you humans could do anything to harm me…"
"Stop being delusional! I'm not sure if you're aware of it, but you're human too!" Iida pointed out
"I was hoping you'd say something like that…" The mysterious girl taunted "Let me show just what I really am"
Iida watched in horror as the girl's face split open like some sort of disgusting parody of a rose in bloom, the fleshy innards of her head lined with teeth "Does this look human to you?!" she growled, her voiced distorted to sound utterly repugnant. Her limbs extended and bent into what resembled the legs of a praying mantis, the noises of bones breaking filled air as her stomach split open to reveals dozens of writing tentacles.
Iida backed away in horror, tripping on an errant root "What the fuck are you?"
The girl…thing slowly walked towards him and Iida knew that he was truly done for. Whatever this creature was…it was going to kill him, and he couldn't do anything about it. He closed his eyes and waited for the inevitable.
But instead of feeling his flesh ripped from his bones, Iida instead felt something poking his face. The monster returned to her human guise and was simply content with poking him with a smile on her face.
"Geez, relax! I already told you I wasn't gonna kill ya!" she chuckled like this was some game "Were you gonna cry?"
"W-What…What do you want from me?"
"You told me you were gonna take me home and introduce me to your folks, didn't you?" the monster teasingly wagged her finger "It's rude to lie to a beautiful gal, ya know?"
His parents. Whatever this creature was, he didn't want her anymore near them. It was his fault that they were going to get involved with…whatever this was. He just had to be the hero.
"Do whatever you want with me! Just leave my parents alone! They did nothing wrong!" Iida gave out an ultimatum despite his terror.
The monster tilted her head, both confused and impressed with Iida was trying to do. She then broke out into a wide grin
"Oh man! You're shaking, and you're still trying to save your folks! That's really cool!"
Iida blinked. Did he seriously impress this monster? Maybe he really was lucky.
"Does that means you're going to leave me alone?"
"That's not how it works, boo." the monster said, the smile still on her face "Either you take me to your home or I'll kill you and find out where you live by eating that pretty little brain of yours. And then I'll kill your parents too!" she beamed as she extended her hand "Buuuuuuuuuuut. If you do take me home, I promise I won't kill you or your parents!"
"Am I supposed to trust you? What's stopping you from killing me and my family once I get home?"
The monster giggled "When you make a deal with a demon, we can't go back on our word."
Iida quirked an eyebrow "You're a demon?"
"Don't believe me? I can go back to my other form if you're into that…freak."
Iida quickly shook his head "Okay, I believe you! But why me?"
"Didn't to listen to what I said before? I was pretending to be trapped just to see what would happen and then you came along. The underworld is real boring but if you're a strong enough demon, you can cross over to the human world."
Iida let out an exhausted sigh. There truly was no way out of this. He just had to appease this demon for as long as he could.
"Okay Ms…?"
"Oh yeah! My name is…." the demon trailed off and Iida looked at her with confusion staining his features
"I must look like a weirdo right now, huh?" the demon giggled as if they were close friends "I almost forgot that if a human tries to comprehend my true name, they'll die!"
Iida did his best not to freak out "That won't do. My name is Tenya Iida, by the way."
The demon stroked his face "Look at you! You were, freaking out a couple minutes ago and now you're all business! That's why you're like the perfect plaything!"
"I'm still scared out of my mind. I just know better than to offend you now." Iida bluntly answered
The demon rubbed his head "That's a good boy! As for my name…Camie sounds nice, doesn't it?"
"Uh. sure."
The demon pumped her fist in the air "Woo! C'mon, let's go home!"
As Iida stepped into his house with Camie in tow, it occurred to him that there would be no way he could explain bringing home a gorgeous girl that was only wearing his jacket. He could try to explain that he rescued her from some fallen trees, but they'd just probe her with even more questions.
What if they asked too many questions and Camie figured that they'd be a liability? But he couldn't back out now or else Camie would kill them anyway. He was between a rock and a hard place.
"Tenya, you're late for dinner." his mother criticized as soon as he stepped into the question "Your father and I have been waiting for you and the food's about to get cold!"
"Don't be too harsh on him, darling." His father urged "He was just trying to help out. We weren't nearly that active when we were his age."
Both of his parents bewildered when Camie strutted in the house like she owned the place. Iida braced himself for the lashing of the lifetime, trying to think of any excuse he could. Camie however, just waved her hand and smiled as his parents' eyes glazed over and stopped whatever they were going to do.
"What did you do?" Iida whisper yelled at her
"Relax, I'm trying to help you here." Camie snarked at him before turning to his parents "I'm Camie, the super cute troubled girl you took in over the summer. You totally are desperate for grandkids ASAP and think that your son and I are perfect together!"
"Wait, what-" Iida just processed what she just said
With a snap of her fingers, Iida's parents went back to normal…albeit with their minds warped to think what Camie said was true
"It's good to see get along with Camie, Tenya." his father praised "You even lent her your jacket. Such a gentleman…"
"My clothes got ruined by the rain!" Camie whined "I had to throw them out…"
"Good thing Tenya's jacket fits you like a dress." Tenya's mother chirped "Alright, enough chit-chat. Dinner is going to be stone-cold if we don't eat now."
After what was probably the most uncomfortable dinner he had ever partaken in, Tenya and Camie were allowed to go to their rooms. It was so unnerving to see Camie talking to his parents like they were close. Just the fact that this demon brainwashed his parents was sickening.
"You guys got a guest room, right?" Camie's question cut through the fog in his mind
"Uh, yes."
"Good, because when I brainwashed your folks I made it so that they changed the guestroom into my new room. It would have been awkward if they thought I'd stay in a room that didn't exist." Camie quipped as if this entire situation was normal.
It frustrated Tenya to no end "Camie…May I have a word with you in my room?" he asked, his voice teetering between fury and reverence
Camie feigned surprise at the request as she cupped her own cheeks in her hand while crinkling her nose "Wanting me in your room already? Maybe you're less pure and heroic as I thought!"
Tenya did his best to ignore her tawdry jokes as he led her to his room. He sat down on his bed while Camie fiddled with his collection of eyeglasses.
"You can brainwash people?" he asked "What other powers do you have?"
Camie didn't even bother looking at him as she tried on various pairs of glasses "More than you think. But why ruin the surprise?"
"Then why not bewitch me as well? You could make me due anything with a simple wave of your hand!"
This question seemed to interest Camie as she carelessly tossed the pair of glasses she was fiddling with and sidles up next to Tenya.
"Why would I want to ruin the fun by doing that?"
Tenya did his best to create some distance between them but whenever he scooted himself away from her, she slid closer to him.
"You heroically went out to go looking for people to rescue and selflessly allowed yourself to die just to protect your parents." Camie explained as she stroked his cheek "It's not everyday you meet a human like that. What's the point of a plaything that's just a puppet?"
Tenya took a deep breath to collect himself "Then what do you intend to do with me?"
"I want to see where this all goes." Camie answered as if it were the most obvious thing in the world "Maybe I'll break that goody two shoes attitude and corrupt you until you understand my way of thinking. Or maybe you won't be able to handle me and try to do anything to escape. Whether it's running away or taking more drastic measures."
Tenya gasped as the implication hit him, causing Camie to laugh "Yeah, I wouldn't suggest doing something like that either. And I'm sure you'll know what happens to your parents if you do."
"So that's it? I'm gonna have to live with you in my life? Torturing me every day?"
"Pretty much!" Camie beamed "But it's not gonna be that bad. I can do this!"
Camie grabbed his face and pulled him into a kiss. Tenya was going to push her off but he figured that would be the worst thing to do to a demon that could eviscerate him. So he allowed her to kiss him. To his embarrassment, he slowly started leaning into the kiss, wrapping his arms around Camie's body. She tasted like oranges and cream and he found that he couldn't get enough of her taste on his tongue.
After what seemed like years, Camie roughly pushed him away, reveling at how flushed Tenya became "Was that worth it?"
"It most certainly was not!" he said to regain some dignity, which only caused her to cackle
"I can already tell you're gonna be so much fun!" she grinned "But a human like you needs sleep so I'm gonna head out. I know you'll hate to see me go but you'll to see me leave. Here's the jacket"
She tossed Tenya's back to him, reminding him that she was stark naked under there before sauntering out of his room, outright daring Tenya to ogle her as she walked way.
He was too bust running his fingers across his lips remembering the damned kiss to notice her staring. Tenya flopped down on his bed as soon as Camie got out of his room. It was clear that there was no going back to his normal life. He just had to endure what life had in store for him.
…And to not get seduced by the darkness that wanted to wrap its tendrils around his soul
