'I can still fight. With the adrenaline slowing down I can feel the pain now. I swear it feels like every muscle was torn and cut and ripped from my bones. The wound All For One created felt like he poisoned me, I can't even walk normally. As long as I keep my quirk active in my own blood, I can force myself to run.'
Geus opened his eyes, the utter massacre of the land looked like a nuclear fallout. A desert void of any human action made it feel like the Earth was just formed. And only two people caused this kind of destruction. Two Gods that battled to create a new planet.
Geus looked down at his own body. Black, blue, and purple from all over. Barely any of the skin on his body wasn't transformed in color. He could see where his quirk influenced his actions. Dim purple veins pulsed ever so slightly across his arms. Any movement caused another pulse till the entered his fingertips.
He looked around, each and every one of classmates and heros poured through a portal just like his. His instincts were right, and now, he couldn't fail. Geus couldn't help but smile, beaten and bruised they still showed up. He nodded at the friends me made through this time, and they returned the smile back.
"Koda, Ojiro, Fumikage," Geus grinned. He breathed through the pain, as each inhale caused more burning. "We're doing this huh?" Geus chuckled.
"Seeing how our friends was fighting." Denki was out of juice, his funny dumb and quirky, with his hands giving a thumbs up.
"We couldn't refuse the call." Momo was just as worse for wear as the others were.
"As long as we're conscious, we'll go anywhere it takes us!" Froppy managed to say.
"After all." Jiro walked up behind Geus, her hand brushing up against his skin. "We sought victory for so long."
"If I didn't step up today." Mineta cried. "I wouldn't even know why I ever dreamed of being a hero! That's why"
"Guys." Midoriya was starstruck, his hero costume destroyed and forced to be stuck in ruined pants.
"We! Are here!"
One villain against dozens of heros. A villain everyone spent so long to fight and defeat. Yet each encounter left without a true success. And now right here, this was their last chance.
Geus knew that his efforts alone were in vain. Mixed with Shirigaki, All For One reached his goal. All that was left of the former kid was his body. Not even allowed to hold onto his face that he grew with.
"So many soon to be corpses." All For One's voice sound blew past and into their mental barriers.
"My attachment was severed, and then..." Midoriya huffed. "No attack has since been able to get through this void of pure loss. That's how I was able to survive death."
"Now I get it, Izuku Midoriya. All For One started to hover in the air. Tragedies are what makes people stronger." Monstrous limbs started to grow from his body. Flesh made from both organic and inorganic material smashed into the wasteland. "Don't you agree?"
Nobody hesitated, heroes that ranged from #1 pros to the newest of recruits charged. They knew this was the last charge, if they failed here, so did the world. Even with Endeavor's and Shoto's flash flares, black holes, and every other move didn't seem to faze him.
Geus charged forward into the destruction. His body wanted to crumble under the pressure, his bones were broken, muscles ripped in each direction, he was just a shell. His quirk was all he was at this point.
The gas barely managed to hold him upright and forward. One trip or stoppage would be the end of him. A sure fatal attack if he released all the pressure he built up. Geus looked back for Midoriya but didn't stop.
"Follow me Izuku!" Geus yelled. His body spun around and whipped for the now dressed boy. "I'll create the opening!"
Even in civilian clothes, Midoriya felt the whip attached to his arm and accepted it. Geus yanked back and threw him ahead. Friends and allies alike kept Midoriya safe from whatever All For One threw. Multiple railgun shots, master martial art kicks and punches, nothing was going to stop them.
Geus burned whatever was near him, he couldn't unleash an attack right now. But whatever touched him burned to a crisp from his heat. He watched the only person able to stop all of this get tossed around by his friends. Everyone's combined effort would make sure this monster could get him.
He made the best use of this massive distraction. Geus jumped up the mass All For One created off himself and climbed up. With every grab and jump left solid holes where his body burned through.
Geus grabbed AFO's shoulder and hurled his body into the air. This messed up face that looked into Geus's eyes didn't read fear or defeat. He underestimated what this boy sacrificed.
Geus didn't see AFO in his own eyes, nor Shigaraki's. The same eyes of the boy he did all of this for were inside. Deep inside the souls of the man's eyes read back Keena's. It wasn't an effect of a quirk or some last second quirk.
This was an effort his own subconscious tried to pull out. A desperate attempt to save his own life and to revert from this path. Geus grit his teeth and crushed down till they cracked. He couldn't turn back, even if that meant to give up his humanity.
"This is my revenge!" Geus yelled as his body fell back to the earth. "Iron Maiden!" Geus shielded both him and AFO's body in the now purple sphere. "A true hero must take action!" Geus grabbed AFO's jaws and ripped them open. "Even if they don't see me as one!" He grabbed the lower jaw and snapped it straight down. "I'll forge my own! One that's willing to give it all up!" He stuck his fingers through AFO's eyes and cocked it up. "To make sure the villain never stands back up!" Geus's grin stretched his face. "Boom." He mouthed.
The piercing screech followed with the sound of an atomic bomb. The shell Geus created withstood nothing his quirk did. Smoke and flesh exploded from it and out hundreds of miles. A mushroom cloud of purple smoke filled the atmosphere and covered the sun.
For a brief moment the battle stopped. Any set of eyes down below became glued to the air. There was no movement, not from All For One, and not from Geus. What was left behind was the weak and broken body that All For One captured.
Shredded down to skin and machine that All For One's quirks kept alive somehow. He was open for one more attack, to finally end this once and for all.
"Geus! Geus!" Voices cried out as they tried to search.
What they didn't see was Geus was gone from the attack. His arm shoved deep inside AFO's mouth to blast the pure concentrate his quirk enveloped. It shot straight down his gut and through the system it created. It attacked everything in a split second, nothing was spared.
Geus's body was forced out of what he tried to contain. He felt bone, muscle, and flesh rip from his arm and now, only felt the cool wind. He propelled back and threw the air. His mind was empty, he couldn't hear, couldn't see, couldn't feel his own body.
He felt like the gust of wind that carried him. He didn't feel it, but his body smashed and dunked into the ocean. A shockwave struck the surface and gushed the water away. It was like a full 360 tsunami wave blasted from his impact.
He was bliss, no pain, no torture, a moment of true peace. There was nothing to worry about anymore, not for his friends or family, or even the world he desperately tried to save. For this moment, he was an angel on his way to the golden gates.
His eyes opened up like he slept twelve hours after three days of no sleep. Pure relaxation and recovery from his own causation.
It took only a moment to realize he was back at the graveyard. A dug up grave with a blurry tombstone, and nobody in the dirt. This wasn't a vision or a memory to relive, a hallucination from the pain if anything.
"Did I do it Keenan?" Geus laughed. He shoved his hands in his pockets and looked up into the black sky. "What about it grandpa? Was this everything you hoped for... What you sacrificed?"
Geus looked back down into the grave. His smile dropped to a dead stare. Tears filled his eyes as his head dropped. Then his legs gave out and dropped him to his knees. Both of his hands grabbed the grasp and gripped the mildew.
"Was it worth it?" He scream-cried. "Beka! Say it was worth it!" He cried. "Jiro? Tell me it's going to be okay!" His cries took control of his remaining strength. His arms crumbled and flopped him on his back. "Kendo, just bring me back home. I don't want to do this anymore." He whimpered. "I'm done, I just want to go home."
Geus laid before his own grave, his body laid in that grave. If this was his final moments before his soul would leave his body, or this was his realization of what impacted. A body burned like a raging fire punished his skin. His jaw torn to a single ligament before it fell clean off. His eyes melted into the back of their sockets, bones fried to their core, barely anything to consider him human. To him, it laid one question, 'Was this all worth it?'.
His hand dropped out stretched from his side. His hand fell to the same side to see a shadowy set of feet step to his hand. It stopped right before his fingers and crouched
down.
"Let's go home." The voice called.
