Chapter 53:The Gods Test
After the relavation of the crown of choice right now everyone was waiting near the trenches right now. As they where busy gearing up with any ammo they had left with whitley injecting an aura booster into mercury arm as jaune used his semblance to heal a few of the groups injuries right now
"These aura booster will get your aura back up. But we don't have long with the grimm being attracted to the relic"whitley said
"We know right now we need to get to that stupid castle right now"yang said reloaidng her guanlents. As a form of white petals came down as appearing was summer holding something the sword of destruction as by her side was oscar as he noticed the crown
"You have the crown! That means we just need to get the staff and lamp from salem and we can call the god!"oscar said but they had another idea in mind
"Actually where gonna deliver the other two relics and give them to salem"nora said to the two shock as they called them over the radio telling them to bring it as summer eyes flashed silver slightly
"Are you mad?! Why in the hell would we give her the dam relics! If we give her them then its all over she wins!"summer shouted as her daughter stepped forward with a smile on her face right now
"Which is what we need to do. I used the crown…it showed me a vision"ruby said as ozpin took over oscar stepping forward placing his hands on her shoulder
"What did he show you?"ozpin asked with ruby smiling at him right now before staring ahead at the castle right now
"That we need to give her the relics. I saw in the vision that she had all four of them…but it also showed me something else"Ruby said as she stared at her mother with a smile on her face
"It showed me and a few of the others here older. And well…i guess i have a daughter in the future…soooo yeah"ruby said as ozpin shook his head
"Buts thats just a possible future he explains it depends on the choice you make how can you be sure that is it?"ozpin asked as weiss sighed rubbing her neck as they all were gearing up with any ammo and dust they could find
"Well from what my leader gathers its our best bet. Besides…you said if all the relics are gathered and the gods will come"weiss replied as he did recall that before going wide eyed staring at the young huntress who nodded
"Even if she has all of them this proves to them that humanity can work together. Were all here to fight one common foe…we need to get their now"ruby said as her mother stared at her eyes for a moment seeing nothing but hope in them sighing as she drew her scythe exhausted since they dealt with x-7 down in the vault but she ran away from them for some reason after fighting for a bit.
Then the women stared at her daughter before nodding to her
"Then we'll follow your lead dear. Whats the plan?"Summer aksed as walking over where two gravekeepers with the vase. Quickly they lifted it up dumping all the blessing into a large tub right now as desdemona walked over with her cane
"What you need to do is get some of your weapons in the blessing. But don't leave them in their too long…their isn't enough for all of you"desdemona said with jauen stepping forward presenting his still coated in blessing
"I'm fine with mine it still has plenty of it left"jaune said as yang walked over soaking her guanlents in it for a moment. Before pulling them out as they shined like they where brand new as she slipped them on smirking
"These will do some damage i bet"yang said as the others walked forward with weiss dipping her gunblade in it. As cardin dipped his mace into it pulling it out twirling it. While adam grabbed a cup of the water splashing it over wilt as it glowed as well
Then team ZERO stepped up eyeing their weapons as onxyia sighed pulling her galive out
"This will work we should do one weapon each"onxyia said
"Agreed i'll use my bat"eria said pulling tundra out
"And i'll use inferno….i'll just shield bash some of the grimm back"rogue said but her partner had other ideas pulling out the engraved knife soaking it qucikly before tosssing her it
"Knowing you partner your going to swing and chop some grimm down. That will do just fine for now"zane said as she nodded with onxyia quickly submarine her blade pulling it out as it glowed in a angelic glow. With eria soaking her bat as it glowed it self. Lastly zane thought of his weapons pulling nightshade out soaking the weapon restoring the blessing still their
As the water before all of them slowly withered away to nothing. With that team JNPR, RWBY, ZERO, cardin, velvet, emerald, mercury, raven, summer, ironwood, oscar all soaked their weapons in the water. Oscar eyed long memory that glowed a little from the glow with a ethereal color of gold and green slightly surrounding it
"Whats happening?"oscar asked ozpin who laughed for a moment
"It seems that blessing built up the magic in it….but save it for when we get their alright"ozpin said as he nodded with them all stepping forward as nadia sighed rubbing her neck for a moment
"This plan of yours better work red. Because if you said you all got kids…i wanna know if my dumb son here gave me gradnkids"nadia joked as her son huffed slipping his helmet back on over his head
"Focus mom….don't ruin the surprise for us okay rubes"zane said as she nodded with her looking over the edge seeing the grimm still coming from them attracted to the two relics with her smiling pressing her earpiece
"Now!"ruby said giving an order for something right now
High above on the walls right now cosmo got the signal nodding as he stared at the others with him boring silver eyes. All them quickly joined hands as they concentrated into their eyes power. Before long a bright flash erupted from all of their eyes right now/
From their eyes the white light traveled from the walls of vaocu onto the battlefield. The blinding light traveled fast over the battlefield right now with the grimm all seeing it trying to run away from it. But the blinding light covered them in an instant
As watching from her castle balcony was salem who scoffed finding this to be annoying. As it came barely close to her castle reaching the edge of it. With the light slowly dying down as ruby slwoly opened her eyes looking ahead with a smile
On the battlefield right now several grimm where turned into statues right now. As on the ground wirhtering around in utter agonizing pain where the grimm hbyrids who cried out in agony as their skin was burning. The hybrids on their side felt the pain but ruby got ontop of the trench wall pointing her scythe forward
"CHARGE THE CASTLE!"ruby shouted out as the remainder of their forces gave a mighty war cry runnign forward. As some ran on foot with others taking jeeps, bikes, or tanks to get over to the castle to take the fight to her. As they where all piling out ruby eyed the sword on her mother back before nodding
Taking it off summer quickly said her name"vanine"summer said as the spirt of the sword emerged with time stopping again. Once vinine came out she sighed with a bored expression right now
"If your going to use me to destory more ships again i'm going to refuse"vanine said but rogue laughed stepping forward
"We haven't properly met but that is what we want"Rogue said to the spirit annoyance as she scoffed
"You have ten seconds for a new wish or else"Vanine said but ozpin took over oscar before walking over grabbing the sword stepping over gesutirng to the battlefield
"Well the ships you will desotry this time will be for this right now. I'm sure this would convince you?"ozpin stated as she looked ahead
Vanine went wide eyed to see the battlefield ahead of her right now. With the dozens of people here charing forward as she looked ahead to see the ships and large castle in the distance. Their was an utter silence between them as she squealed excited
"Ohhh this is boring…but this will cause some massive mischief…mhmmm done no more wishes after this"Vanine said snapping her fingers for them as ruby smiled
"Were fine with that thank you for the help"Ruby said to the spirit as vanine quickly returned as time resumed for them right now
As they looked ahead of them slowly lighting stikes started to happen. As they came crashing into the ships right now striking them down with the might of a god. Inside the main cruiser doiran looked around as the flames of the explosion caught up with him as he screamed out in utter agony right now.
The talon cruisers began to crash into each other falling to the ground right now. While watching this was salem who senses one thing right now the two relics as she eyed the other two in her possession.
Right now near her throne the staff of creation and lamp of knowledge had a very faint glow coming off them. Which made her smile as she stared ahead at the coming battle toward her castle right now welcoming it. Their making this easy for her now to claim the relics
Back with the others they sighed as jaune grabbed the sword placing it on his back exhaling a little. As ruby clipped th crown onto her waist
"So now what we run in with everyone else headfirst and get whipped out"mercury asked as the general smirked
"Not exactly you'll be having atlas military help you. Care for a ride"he said gesutring to some manta close by. As dusk and dawn walked over with zane kneeling down next to them
"Keep up you two we'll meet you over their"he said as the two grimm nodded running into the battlefield in their larger forms. With pyrrha running over climbing ontop of glory as she knelt down with her staring at her teammates
"Care to join me you three?"pyrrha aksed as nora smiled zipping ontop of glory raising her hammer to the skies
"Lets do this!"nora shotued as ren slipped ontop of it holding onto the saddle with his one arm. As jaune slipped on with the wyvern flapping its mighty wings takin to the skies as the others rushed over to the manta boarding them to get to the fight ahead of them right now
Their was nothing at first as the battle was quiet for a moment. But nearing the castle grimm emerged from the pits of tar but the warriors for remnant all charged forward with weapons drawn figthing them as they came from the pits. With the remaining members of salem cult fighting them off the best they can right now but it was a futile effort right now
As high above in the sky inside the manta all of them where preparing their weapons. They checked over their ammo right now as blake loaded her pistol pulling the slide back primmering it
"So this is it? We head in and give her the relics then what?"blake questioned
"Then we stab her in the back with the blessed weapons duh"emerald replied making her glare at her slightly as raven placed a hand on her katana hilt
"Be weary of what where going to encounter. Once where inside we need some of you to make it to her throne room. My guess its on the top…so be quick and watch each others back out their right now"raven said as they all nodded with ironwood walking over to the pilot
"How close are we too landing right now?"ironwood aksed
"Ten seconds sir! Were….shit!"the pilot said steering their ship away from a wyvern that tried to snatch them up. As they got shaken around in the ship right now but luckily they had their own wyvern as glory came in snatching the wyvern up in her jaw by its neck
Before biting down killing it mid air as on her back giving a mighty war cry was nora with her hammer in the air swinging it into a griffon launching it back. With ren firing his machine pistol strapped onto the saddle killing any grimm in their way.
The manta right now where touching down as door slide open to be met by a beowulf who snarled trying to attack them. But yang roared punching it in the snot as it cired out in pain before exploding from the hit to her surprise
Eyeing her guanlent she flexed them smiling with a smirk
"Time for us to kill us a witch!"yang cheered as they all rushed out with weapons drawn. As the other bullheads and manta dropped their forces off onto the castle entrance being met by resistance in the form of some grimm along with talon soldier opening fire on them being the last line of defense for their queen
But immedialty rogue dove for cover with her cardin and velvet taking cover behind a destroyed colum right now. As velvet ducked shaking her head before digitizing a plama rifle firing back at them nailing on in the chest kncokin them down
Ducking back down for cover she panted"we gotta get in their! But their blocking us!"She called out as rogue panted sharing a look with cardin who nodded. Quickly she handed him a grenade
Then she took a step back aiming her grenade launcher adjusting the sights with velvet covering them from nearby grimm trying to stop them. But adjusting her aim she fired a grenade shell forward toward the soldiers
The grenade shell went flying down onto the ground before denating creating a huge explosion sending them flying everywhere. More where coming but cardin hucked his arm back
"Heads up assholes!"he shotued throwing the grenade forward as it landed near their feet. Looking down they tried to throw it back but it blew up covering them in fire as they screamed out in utter agony right now falling to the ground in pain.
As they did they quickly rushed to the stairs as ruby kept slicing and slashing her way through the grimm right now killing them in quck succession. Firing a shot off from her sniper she dashed forward to the top of the stairs being met by a operiatve but reeling her scythe back she swung it forward knocking them off the edge to their doom as she winced closing her eyes
With blake running forward dodging and weaving through the grimm infront of her. Along with stabbing one in the head before aiming her porhtseitc hand forward firing off the grappling hook. Her hand shot forward bruying itself into the steps as she zipped forward onto the steps
While yang cocked her fist back punching them with a loud shotgun blast going off to join them on the steps right now. As she joined them with weiss running up slashing down a beowulf killing it
With the others all running up as ironwood walked backwards firing off shot upon shot right now. With him firing into a talon soilder head killing them before switching target blasting down a grimm killing it.
"Regroup! "He called out as they all did with weapon drawn as glory touched down with team JNPR hoping off as jaune drew his sword and shield up at the ready right now
"Okay so whats the plan?"jaune questioned
"Yeah because if were gonna get in their we might run into some trouble"emerald said firing off her piistol killing a cultist as they fell to the ground with her staring at them for a moment before eyeing zane
Walking over she took the crown off handing him it to his shock
"Rubes what are you–"he was stopped
"Look i need to be done here to help the others hold the grimm back with my eyes. And well…your know to survive death just barely. Besides your family main purpose is to fight her"ruby said as he stared at her sighing seeing that look on her face
"You smart little….alright team ZERO is on the move."he called out to their surprise their going in as jaune rushed over handing the sword to rogue who strapped it onto her back nodding. They where ready to rush forward but onxyia looked back at them
"You all better be okay while where up their got it!"onxyia shotued as adam laughed slicing down a grimm right now
"I made a promise to lazuli so i need to keep it!"he called out
"Your wife since you proposed dumbass!"vance reminded kicking back a grimm down the stairs. With them all nodding to each other running inside as the others held their ground. All of them drew their weapons staring down the foes ahead of them right now with determined looks
As they ran inside the castle right now the four expected to run into enemies. But to their surprise they encountered nothing right now as eria narrowed her gaze
"Their are no guards here even…this doesn't sit right"eira stated as a hiss came from zane back
"She thinks that she can handle anyone that invades her castle….she knows where coming"bane siad
"Pretty obvious man…but everyone be on guard for anything she throws at us"zane replied as they ran through the halls of the castle. As they did turning a corner they saw a staircase right now as they nodded approaching it right now
But as they walked up it carefully not knowing how long it took them. Though they soon reached the very top with rogue eyeing the thick double doors in front of them narrowing her gaze for a moment
"Where here…this is it guys we get the job of fighting the immortal witch….i hate being the hero"rogue joked
As onxyia laughed slightly"well whatever happens you guys are the best teammates i've ever had. Your like family to me"onxyia said as zane smirked with someone beating him to it
"So your screwing your brother?"eria said with a sarcastic tone to their surprise with them laughing for a moment as zane tapped her shoulders
"Now you crack jokes before we die. Get serious you threes we gotta be ready"he said in a serious tone as the three nodded staring at the doors. Approaching it they opened for them welcoming them into the room right now
As they walked in already sitting on her throne with a care in the world right now was salem. But they noticed one thing that being she was smiling at them as the staff of creation and lamp of knowledge where right by her as she began to laugh for a moment crossing her legs on her throne
"So…instead of coming in to steal the relics. You instead think its wise to bring them to me, how naive are you? Are you here to beg for mercy in the new world i will create"salem said with a cocky look as eria scoffed pointing her bat at her
"We aren't were here to stop you witch"eria said as their was a moment of silence for a moment as salem saw the glow coming from those weapons glaring at them as it remidned her of the goddess
Standing up from her throne she approached the four brave warriors right now laughing for a moment finding this just adorable
"Many have tried to kill me before….one of you almost did. You'll pay for giving me this scar girl"salem said placing a hand on her chest where the new scar was as oxnyia tiwlred her glaive at the ready
"Not a chance your not going to win today salem"onxyia said as she scoffed before chaneling into her magic. As she summoned runes underneath them but as the grimm hands came at them they all reeled back to her surprise right now
The grimm hands lurched back retreating back into the ground as rogue eyed the blessed weapons on them smiling
"Ha! You can't immolize us time to get some!"Rogue shotued as she drew her axe with zane drawing his katana dual wielding them
"Break!"he ordered as they all split ip ready to fight off the witch for the world of remnant as she welcomed their pity attempt to defy her
Back down below things where getting a little hectic right now as the others where fighting back the grimm they best they could. But they kept coming up the stairs as summer charged forward slahsing her way through twnety of them panting as they all disappeared into dust in an instant as her weapon glowed slightly losing some more blessing.
Close by was raven who was using her maiden powers as two bright flames covered her eyes as she fired off streams of pink fire into the grimm torching them to hold them back. Thinking of something else she raised her hands summoning a wall of fire. Then growled pushing it forward into the grimm approaching them
While glynda and ironwood where back to back with each other. As ironwood kept firing at the apporaching grimm with glynda using her semblance to launch debris onto them hitting a berginal off the side. With her panting heavily
"You owe me after this james….a lovely date!"glynda shouted panting heavily as ironwood growled firing into a grimm blowing its head clean off
"Now isn't the time glynda!"ironwood shouted as they kept fighting before from behind a centinel screeched firing a stream of acid spit at them which ironwood noticed
"Watch out!"he called out as he shoved glynda to the side as she landed on the ground. The general right leg got covered as he cired in pain falling to the ground as his right leg dissolved into nothing. Glydna growled using her semblance to throw the centinall off the edge to its death
Running over she helped him dragging him back as he drew his revolvers firing back at the grimm apporaching them
Their was cardin who swung his mace forward knocking the grimm down the steps of the castle. Then quickly he fired a fireball launching a grimm back. Velvet was their firing off a spray of bullets using her leader weapon as she gave a war cry shredding into any grimm that where coming their way
Vance dodged a strike from a operative before kneeing them in the gut then stabbed them in the neck killing them. The lynx panted heavily as he was about to get attacked from behind. But assisting him was his sister as neo drove her umbrella hidden blade into a grimm killing it
Looking back vance smiled panting heavily"Thanks baby sis!"he thanked as she nodded
Then their was weiss summoning several glyphs growling slamming her sword onto the ground firing a barrage of fire, ice and earth glyphts down onto the grimm and soldiers attacking them tearing them to shreds right now.
With her panting heavily as they've been fighting for so long as her aura broke as she fell to her knees panting right now. Winter rushed over helping her up directing a summoned summon giagss to fight her enemies as it swung its rock limbs knocking grimm from left to right to their deaths
While adam was locked in a power struggle with an oepriatve he growled as they broke it. As they slashed him across the chest as he cried in pain as his aura shattered right now. Raising their sword they prepared to stab him but coming in for the save was yang who roared throwing her fist knocking them down as they scream
Offering a hand adam took it nodding to her as they kept backing up right now to gain some ground. Blake kept firing her pistol into some grimm to kill them right now while she did assitng her was nadia who panted heavily falling to her knees
As ruby fired back at the grimm coming ontop of them as jaune swung his sword cutting them down. But a operative came in stabbing him in his left arm as jaune cried out in pain before growling jamming his sword into the soldier chest tearing it out as they fell to the ground dead
Ren was firing his one machine pistol at the grimm with nora roaring as she swung her hammer forward knocking down several grimm to the ground. As pyrrha used her full maiden powers to fire off a wall of fire blocking the grimm off for now as they regroup all exhausted right now as ironwood growled clutching his leg
"They better not be having tea with her up their….this is exhausting"mercury said panting
"I know! It better be something good up their right now"emerald replied with ruby panting staring up above seeing gunfire and shouting being heard as she nodded looking forward using her eyes as a flash went off blinding them as they hoped the others back above where having a better time than them
But back in salem throne room right now a battle was going on right now. With team ZERO fighting off the immortal witch right now with their leader leading the charge right now as he dashed forward straight for salem right now to cut her down
But as he did immediately salem fired off a condense beam of magic at him. With her not even looking at she fried a beam into eria who was launched into the wall hard grunting in pain but gritted her teeth switching to her shotgun right now aiming at her
"DIE!"eria shouted firing off a shot as the pellets traveled over. But waving her hands the floor moved to protect salem
As onxyia was covering them from a distance as she had her sniper out firing at her. With her not even stopping with salem doing the same thing as her bullets hit the ground. Then the witch dropped it before waving her hands around as a rune appeared above the wolf
Looking up it glwoed as she guessed what that was. Diving out of the way a condense stream of fire came from it as she panted. Picking herself up she reached into her pouch reloading it quickly before continuing to provide cover fire for her teammates
As rogue was running around with her submachine guns out firing into the witch to distract her. But salem found her efforts to not even be worth it since they werent blessed. The bullets hit her skin as her body took them. Before she reformed quickly with her ejcting the spent casing onto the ground as they clanked onto the ground
With zane leaping forward as he swung his katana at her. But she step back easily dodging it before grabbing his wrist on his right arm twisting it dislcoating it as he cried in pain dropping merciless to the ground.
Salem laughed"your ancestors tried this before and failed you will too."She said eyeing the crown on his hip tearing it away
He tried to snatch it back but she tossed him into him rogue as the two stumbled. With the witch simply tossing it near the other two relics as it rolled over with it getting close. They all began to glow right now as salem apporahced rogue with a smile on her face
"Hand over the sword and i'll make your death quick"salem said but they weren't going to do that
Eria growled picking herself up before activating her semblance right now covering the place in a blizzard. Salem found this to be annoying right now as she easily found her smirking at the attempt finding it cute right now. She raised her hand to fire a stream of magic at her right now
But then a loud gunshot rang out hitting her in the shoulder right now. Looking back she growled seeing through the blizzard it was onxyia who smirked back. Salem skin hissed a little from the shot but this small distraction came someone time
The heir to the ice queen throne roared swinging her bat straight into salem face. This caused her to be launched from the blizzard as eria dropped it panting right now.
"Take that bitch!"eria shotued panting heavily right now.
The two then ran to their teammates as eria helped zane up who clutched his wrist grunting in pain. While rogue panted putting pressure on her leg but cried in pain as her knee buckle with her seeing her left knee was very bruised guessing she dislcoated it
"Dammit….anyone else wish we got door duty"Rogue asked panting as zane quickly relcoated his wrist grunting in pain. Onxyia walked over with out warning rolocted rogue knee as she growled punching the ground busting her kncukels right now
"Sorry but its easier like this….at least i hit her again"onxyia said with eria wincing
"Well look at her now"She said as they did flicnhing as salem didn't have a calm expression anymore. As on her cheek a bruise was forming as her jaw hung loose as she grabbed it hard before relcoating it snarling at them as her hands glowed in a rainbow haze of magic
"You brats! Thats it if i need to kill you or maim you i shall! The gods will pay for defying me my one wish in life after everything!"salem cried in rage as her castle shook around as zane growled before eyeing his teammates who shared a look
"You know what…new order….just beat the shit out of her!"he shouted as they could stand by that right now.
Immeidialty rogue growled taking her grenade launcher out firing a shell at the witch. With her sister running in firing off shot from her pistol to deal some minor damage. But i barel scratched her as salem growled waving her hands sending up a large chunk of derbis toward the girl. Eria noticed this flexed her prosthetic leg firing herself forward hoping to dodge it right now
With enough momentum she proppelded herself out of the wall almost going out a nearby window. She sliding to a stop she stoped herself with the grenade impacting against salem body. Their was silence as the smoke cleared revealing her missing her left arm with her left side partial destroyed as she growled at this
Flexing her right hand immeidlaty she reformed with zane panting as he focused on going into his arhcnagel form right now. His bodie started to contort and crack to change shape with salem scoffing charging up a beam of magic to fire at him to stop it
Seeing this onxyia lifted her left hand up as shadow like hands came from the shadow. They all gripped salem arm yanking it to the ceiling. She fired off the condense stream of magic into the ceiling as it made a dent in the ceiling. The ceiling began to crack right now with debris coming down onto the ground narrowly hitting eria who jumped back dodging it just bareilly right now
While rogue picked herself up firing off shots with her submachine guns right now trying to hold her off. With zane he growled slamming his hands down as they turned into talon. Before long he went into his archangel form letting out a furious roar to the witch who just found this annoying now
"I've dealt with thise several times before boy….your not the first!"salem shouted back firing off a stream of magic hitting the creature pinning it to a wall. But the creature snarled at her charging up the last dust it used before it throat lit up in a fiery hue before he spew fire back at the witch
The fire cam through her magic partial coating her in it but salem scoffed letting it burn away at her flesh right now. Eria growled running over with her bat swinging it to crack her skull wide open. But easily salem caught it without looking before lifting her up by her bat eyeing the prosthetic on her right now
Immediately salem swiftly grabbed the leg before swiftly throwing eria who screamed flying hard into a wall. The resulting impact shattered her aura as she fell to the ground in pain as she tired to pick herself up but couldn't feel her right leg. Looking back her was prothseitc wasn't their as salem held it scoffing
"The marvels of technology how pathetic"she said crushing the leg destroying it to eria shock as rogue growled at her before using her adrenaline to run forward
"Don't fucking touch my sister!"Rogue shouted in rage firing several bullets at her. But with ease salem fired a stream of magic into her launching rogue hard into a wall as it burned her chest a little with her crying out in utter pain right now
As salem laughed at the sound of her pain the wolf faunus ran forward swinging her galive upward against salem chest. Once it made contact the witch bleached skin boiled form that as she snarled at the wolf before backhanding across the face
This sent her flying into the ground hard as her aura shattered as well with onxyai crying in pain. The last was zane who snarled before lunging at the witch grabbing her opening his maw biting down onto her upper half.
Closing his jaw he bite her in two growling hoping this was enough. But as he had her in his grip laughter could be heard as he felt his jaw be pry opened. The witch pried open his maw before stepping on the ground picking him up by his throat before throwing him into the ceiling hard
The creature hit the ceiling as it came crashing down creating a crater in the ground right now. Once that happened zane molted off his archangel form but a piece of debris fell ontop of him as he felt something crack with him crying out in immense pain as his aura shattered right now
Seeing that all of them where dealt with injured and uanble to move salem laughed. She just simply walked over toward rogue who withered on the ground in utter pain right now. Salem walked over eyeing the sword grabbing it from her back as rogue didn't even stop her
Salem began to walk toward the other three relics with a smile on her face right now as it was finally happening
"Finally! They will pay for everything they did to me! And you helped me….pathetic filth!"salem shouted in joy right now as they could watch what happened next. Next thing they knew was salem placing all four of the relics of their world together
As they all got joined together suddenly all of them began to take flight right now. All four of them began to glow bright right now with each of the four spirits emerging from it right now. But all four of them raised their hands into the air before a bright light came from each of their own relics as they shot up into the sky high above of remant
Outside the entire battlefield looked up at the sight even the grimm themselves looked up. With ozpin looking up in utter shock right now on what was happening right now. A bright light soon eveloped the sky right now as in the sky something was coming down right now
That being three large orbs one made of pure light with a yellow glow to it. Another a orb of pure darkness as it came crashing from the sky. Though another was dark blue as they all were converging on one spot right now salem castle with ozpin closing his eyes praying right now that the gods are happy with the work hes done
Salem smiled as the three orbs came crashing into her throne room right now. Their was utter silence for a moment but before their very eyes three people where standing their before them. The first the god of light who stood their with a calming aura to him and a angelic glow coming off of him. The second the god of darkness who had a sinister aura to him with him being a little shorter than his sibling
But in the center of it all was the goddess of balance who stared at who was before her. Looking at the four relics before her as she sighed heavily rubbing her face
"Well…well..well…seems someone is here to gloat how she better than us again. Tell me dear have you learned your lesson?"the goddess asked ockingly as salem growled at the three before waving her hands as the front of her castle opened as she pointed outside
"Do you see that outside! Humanity despite being brought here are still fighting! But yet…even with all of them together theirs still one thing in this pitiful excuse of a world. Greed, wraith, sin and several other things. But yet here you are…to judge them and judge me….for what"salem said with a laugh to the gods right now who stared at her with no expressions on their faces
As the god of light sighed"your lesson was to respect life and death but yet….you call us to what?"the god of light asked
"It appears to mock us or gloat. Bland in my opinion with the chaos even all shes done is let history repeat itself"the god of darkness said as salem scoffed at their words
"But yet here you are….well then judge humanity because in my eyes they've failed you. Go ahead destory remnants….destory the one thing that you created…and yet left it behind do it! Because even if its gone i'll still be here…and i'll usher in a new age of huamnity. This time….i'll make them serve me as their own god"salem said with a grin at the three gods with the goddes of balance looking at her annoyed right now
As they watched the gods who simply shared looks with each other talking it seems. Right now onxyia growled picking herself up slowly falling to the ground almost panting as her teammates where close by. Eria slowly crawled her way over as rogue limped over trying to help her partner out of the rubble
As zane growled crying in pain right now as he felt something crack as he coughed for a moment before coughing up blood right now. As he panted with rogue grunting hard trying to lift it up
"Guys…help…me…please"rogue begged in tears as onxyia stumbled over grabbing the edge of the rock right now trying to lift it up. With eria slowly crawling over pushing underneath it as zane growled using his remaining strength to push it up sliding out panting for air right now coughing and wheezing. They were all in pretty bad shape right now as they stared at the gods and salem who had a grin on her face
"I thought she wanted to fight them…but shes telling them to…destory remnant?"eria said panting each word
"Well maybe…shes…lost it…god…my bodie it hurts"onxyia cried clutching her sides as zane stared at the witch before staring at the goddess who stared at him simply nodding to him. Eyeing nightshade close by he growled picking him up grabbing it turning it into its katana form sharing a look with his teammates nodding
Rogue panted struggling to keep herself up right now as eria eyed her leg growling grabbing tundra turning it into its shotgun form. With onxyia pikcing her glaive up before growling
"FUCK YOU SALEM!"she shouted as her words echoed making her turn back. As onxyia threw her glaive right into salem stomach as it pierced through the other side making her cry out in pain right now as the gods simply watched. Rogue growled walking over trying to bury the knife into her chest.
But salem redirected her arm as it stabbed her in the shoulder as she cried out in pain. Hitting her back rogue fell to the ground groaning in pain with eria firing off the last few shots in her shotgun as the pellets hit her in the chest and leg making her skin boil
She wasn't going to loose now not like this as she growled summoning a swell of magic in her palms
"YOU WILL NOT RUIN WHAT I HAVE PLANNED FOR HUNDREDS OF YEARS!"salem screeched to the heaven but zane growled using the remaining strength as he roared running forward. Salem lifted her hands up to fire off a beam of magic but he growled sprinting with all his energy into this one attack
As he roared lunging forward driving the blade forward right into salem right now. Salem gasped in utter pain as she looked down in shock right now looking at where her heart was. Looking up she followed it to zane who panted heavily before twisting the blade tight making her cry in pain
"NOW YOUR DEAD BITCH!"he shouted before ripping the blade of her chest as salem cried in pain. Pulling the sword out one thing lead to it that being her beating black heart that slowly beated slowler and slower before finally stopping as salem stared in utter shokc
The witch was processing what just happened as she cired out in utter agony right now as her screamed echoed through the battlefield right now. This caught all their attention as ruby stared up panting falling to her knees with a smile on her face
"I…i think they did it…they did it"ruby cried in joy as suddenly oscar was shrouded in a light for a moment. Before suddenly it disappeared as summer stared at him panting
"Oscar what happened? Are you…okay?"She asked with oscar standignt heir for a moment feeling like part of him was gone as he looked over with wide eyed
"I…i don't hear ozpin…i…i feel likes he gone"oscar said to their shock right now staring up wondering whats going on up their. Up their right now team ZERO saw that salem was on the ground but still moving even though her heart was gone with rogue growling as she visible shook to prop herself up
"What the fuck! I thouht you said she'd be dead when we stab her how is she not dead!"rogue shouted as the goddess laughed snapping her fingers before someone appeared in a bright light before their eyes. That being ozpin but when he was ozma first as ozma felt his face over and over again in shock
"I..i…oscar…oscar…what…where"ozma stopped looking up in shock right now before looking over at them. As the goddess hummed cupping her chin walking near the hole staring down at the battlefield then looked ahead at the kingdom of vacou seeing all the ships making her smile
"Well seems that humanity has learned their lesson from long ago. Good work ozma"the goddess of balance said approaching them right now as salem growled on the ground in rage
"Are you here to taunt me you dam devil! Let me guess…a even more svere punishment…do your worst you'll pay for taking the most important thing i cared about in my life!"Salem cried out in rage right now confusing the humans here right now as zane looked puzzled at her for a moment seeing her face
From what he saw before he saw a women filled with nothing but hate, disgust and seemed to depsie anything in the world. But now he saw a pitiful women who was on the ground as slowly tears came to his eyes realizing what that blessing was as slowly something happened to salem
As the bleached white skin on her bodie was slowly going away right now. With it slowly removing the white hair she had as it slowly turned back into a blonde clor. With her skin returning to a fair skin color. Which left the old salem who chest began to heal with her curse right now as the goddess sighed
"Well then….unlike the last occasion this time since i can see ozma completed his task. I want to have him ask you something"the goddess of balance said making ozma stare at her
"But…but you said that if your archangels killed her…then things would be back to normal"ozma said as she stared at him as her she didn't have a mouth but they could tell she had a smug smile
"What do you think i mean by kill her? Kill the witch…but i didn't say kill salem i said kill the witch. The part of her that is nothing but darkness it still their but easier to confront your old flame from long ago with her powers being dwindle"the goddes of balance siad which make ozma and salem eyes meet like they did long ago as he soften his gaze for a moment thinking of his journey staring at his old love
"Do you still blame me for what happened to them"ozma asked as salem gorlwed getting up clawing at him but he stepped back as she fell to the ground
"We could have been happy together! But yet you tricked me….you tricked me because your not even ozma! Your just some dam puppet they sent to trick me! My life has been nothing but sorrow everysince i was locked in that dam tower! What do i get when i finally am free…the one person i love taken from me! All i ask is for him back but no….i'm taunted with the same gods who broguth back four others! Yet they never did that for me ever when i asked to have him back they took him away from me again!"Salem said in utter sorrow in her tone right now as ozma stared at her thinking about the lesson his old flame needs to learn right now
Ozma slowly approached her kneeling down seeing the ptiyful women before her who was in tears right now as he stared at her
"Are you that selfish?"ozma asked as she stared at him
"What are you talking about?'Salem asked as he stared at her
"It may have been years ago but….death and life are the natural order of things. Do you think that if i just stayed by your side all those years ago. Let you turn the world into something that you strived for the life you wanted. Do you know how selfish you where"ozma said as she growled swiping at him several times
"Shut up! Shut up! They ruined everything!"salem cried in rage but soon she was confronted
"Oh really? Because what jinn showed us was something that could have stopped this long ago"zane said as she growled at him getting up stumbling still recovering from her wound
"You wish for death but yet…you keep defying it…why? Are you scared that once you die that nothhing will be their for you"eria added as salem covered her ears
"Shut up! I am not listening to four incompentne little pest!"salem said as rogue panted heaving wheezing for a moment
"Oh man your dumb….the answer for what freaking ozma or whatever is saying is so obvious"rogue added
"That your acting just like the same person who imprisoned you in that tower"onxyia said making the witch slightly go wide eyed as zane stepped forward panting heavily cltuhcing his side right now
"You wanted a life with someone you loved…its hard to get over deth…but yet….your selfish desire for a sweet release of death. Yet you beleive the relics will corrupt us"zane cotninued
"But yet here we are that same power you strived for corrupted you. Do you know what you've done"eria continued
"You've destroyed countless peoples lives over the year and for what? To get payback…against gods?"rogue continued
"Letting them destory the world just dooms you to walk the world alone again. Forever alone again"onxyia added
With salem clutching her head right now drowning them out not listening to them as ozma soften his gaze kneeling down placing his arms around her making her stare at him right now
"You need to accept that what you've done is not for the good of the world. It'll do nothing but bring you more pain and misery. I tried to take our daughters away to protect them before you corrupted innocent souls. The path you wanted to go down made no sense, disrupting life and death will make everything go…"he paused as she stared at the man from all those years ago. All the times she thought she was ignorant right now as she looked ahead outside seeing that despite humans being on the verge of death they accepted it
"That everything will go out of balance…that..is was your time to die…i…i..i'm sorry…it..will never fix what i've done…but.."she paused on her words right now but suddenly she felt a hand placed on her head looking up it was the goddess of balance
"And that is why you were cursed…but you see now accepting that death is apart of the cycle of life. You may never know when you'll pass but it'll happen then the cycle contiuines. Creating balance"the goddess said before doing something right now
Waving her hands around the two individuals that have been around remnant for counteless years started to turn into a golden dust as salem looked at her
"What…what are you doing?"salem asked as the goddess sighed
"Learning your lesson rewards you with something. You two have served your purpose for humanity. I think you deserve to have your happily ever after with the daughters you lost years ago"the goddess of balance said as ozma and her shared a look with each other before embracing one another as they turned into golden dust scattering to the winds.
Before anyone starts to judge my idea for how things ended for salem. I thought it be interesting to have her end off here along with ozma getting a happy ending they deserve. But it seems that we will have one chapter before the volume is over. Thanks for reading!
