Albus and Poppy came bursting through the corridor at that moment. "EVERYONE AWAY. GIVE HIM SPACE" Albus roared. The students, although still shocked, started to move away. Albus went straight over to Severus and said, "We're here; you're going to be okay." Poppy waved her wand over Severus and gravely said, "Broken wrist, Grade 3 concussion, severe chemical burns. Severus, can you hear me?" He only murmured in response. "He's semi-conscious". She spelled a strong pain-relieving potion right into Severus' stomach along with a headache potion. "Albus, we need to bathe him right away - these burns are going to scar." Albus nodded and, for the first time, turned his attention to the Weasley twins. "You two. Go to my office. Wait for me there." Never in their five years at Hogwarts had they seen that ice in the Headmaster's eye. This was not the strange, elderly Headmaster. This was the man who defeated Grindelwald. Terrified, the twins followed his orders.
Albus turned his attention back toward his injured colleague and friend. "Mobilicorpus," Albus intoned, and Severus' body floated gently off the ground, following Poppy towards the hospital wing. As soon as they got there, they carefully removed Severus' damaged robes to reveal the extent of the burns across his chest and arms. Poppy prepared a bath with a unique potion-infused water design to heal his burns and reduce their scarring. Gently, they lowered Severus into the warm, healing bath, keeping his broken wrist secure until Poppy had time to properly attend to it later. Right now, the burns were the most important thing. Severus groaned as the water made contact with his burns and turned, trying to use Albus to pull himself out of the water. Albus held him reassuringly. "Hold on, Severus, this will help. You will feel better soon." Poppy worked quickly, using a soft cloth to cleanse his wounds and the potion magic to soothe the angry, red marks. Albus murmured soothing words, keeping Severus as calm as possible through the painful process. Finally, after what felt like hours, Poppy declared, "That's the worst of it. We must keep the burns dressed and monitor his recovery closely." Albus nodded, and they levitated him out of the bath, carefully dressed his wounds. Poppy attended to his broken wrist, carefully mending it as her practiced hands were used to. She murmured a general healing spell, and judging by Severus' breathing, which had evened out, he had fallen asleep. Now that the worst was over, Albus remembered the Weasley twins waiting in his office. "Poppy, I will be back in a moment," he muttered.
