I do not own anything from Harry Potter.
Hello guys Badger here. I am back with, a new but old story. This story I made a long time ago but deleted it as I didn't like where it was going. However, I decided to bring it back, as this was one of my favourite ideas I had, after finishing my first story. Now, this first chapter was supposed to be published a few days ago, but I fell ill, due to burnout from University. I'm fine now though.
Anyway, word of warning. If you couldn't tell from the summary, this is a dark/evil Harry fanfic, so if thats not your thing, then move on, but if that is your thing, read on, enjoy and I will see you at the end!

Chapter 1
A Disturbing Meeting
Dumbledore paled, his skin turning as white as his beard, his eyes widening in fear, when he saw where the Portkey had taken him.
Ten years ago, Dumbledore had dropped off Harry Potter, the Boy-Who-Lived, on the doorstep of his aunt and uncle, after the demise of Voldemort, which also resulted in the deaths of James and Lily Potter, Harry's parents. However, Dumbledore knew he would return, as long before his demise, the Dark Lord had made Horcruxes, to gain immortality. It was only a matter of time until he returned and when he did, only Harry will be able to stop him, as the prophecy had revealed. However, with Death Eaters still at large, Dumbledore had dropped Harry off at his aunt and uncles house, so Harry could live a normal life until it came for him to start Hogwarts, where, in time, Dumbledore will train the boy to prepare him for his destiny as the Boy-Who-Lived.
With the new Hogwarts year looming around the corner, and Harrys first year, Dumbledore went to check up on Harry to see if he had received his Hogwarts letter, and to take Harry to Diagon Alley, to collect his school supplies. Usually, his Deputy Headmistress, Professor McGonagall had the duty of taking new First Year's to Diagon Alley to get their school supplies, but this time, Dumbledore could only trust himself for such a job. However, to Dumbledore's shock, when he arrived, Harry wasn't there and, after looking through the minds of his aunt and uncle, to look through their memories, Dumbledore found that Harry hadn't lived with them at all, in fact, he wasn't even on their doorstep where the Headmaster had personally left him. Which meant, someone must've taken him. The only question was who. Dumbledore had spent several days, using multiple tracking charms to try and locate Harry. Once Dumbledore was certain he had found a possible lead, he had made a Portkey to take him to the location of said lead. The Headmasters hope quickly turned to worry and fear when he saw where he was, however. Wool's Orphanage. The former childhood home of Tom Riddle, also known as Lord Voldemort. Dumbledore still had nightmares of the day he had met a young, eleven-year-old Tom Riddle, a boy who later become the most feared Dark Lord of all time. Just looking at the building that stood before him, was enough to bring back bad memories of the place.
Putting the Portkey into his pocket, Dumbledore removed his wand and transfigured his clothing, from the outlandish, bright purple robes to a more suitable, brown muggle suit, so he would look normal, as normal an elderly man with a long silvery beard can look. Shaking of the shivers the orphanage was giving him, Dumbledore then entered the building, the dark hallways and foreboding main hall just as horrible as he remembered. He approached the main desk, where a middle-aged woman was sat, looking through some files, whilst writing into a large book of some kind. Dumbledore assumed this was the matron who ran the place, making him wonder what had happened to Mrs Cole, the gentle, yet strict, woman who ran the place when Tom Riddle once resided these walls. Once standing in front of the desk, Dumbledore politely cleared his throat, to make his presence known to the woman, as he looked at the name plaque on the desk, which read: CAROLINE LYNCH.
"Oh, good afternoon, sir?" Miss Lynch spoke in a kind voice, her eyes widening briefly when she saw the ancient Headmaster standing there "Can I help you, at all?"
"Your help would be appreciated, Miss Lynch" Dumbledore smiled "I am here to speak with a child who, I believe resides here…a boy called Harry Potter…"
"Harry…Potter…are you sure?" Miss Lynch asked, her eyes widening, speaking in a tone, as if she was hoping the man in front of her would change his mind
"Yes, Harry Potter…" Dumbledore nodded, the tone of her voice not filling the Headmaster with any confidence "I hope to offer the boy a place into a boarding school that I currently run"
"You're welcome to try" Miss Lynch commented, as she stood up from her desk "I'll lead you to his room…please follow me"
The silence was almost deafening for Dumbledore, as he followed Miss Lynch down the many hallways of the orphanage, passing room after room. What worried Dumbledore was why Harry resided this place, out of every orphanage there was in Britain. Not to mention, how he ended up here in the first place. Dumbledore had specifically left him on the doorstep of his relatives. The only logical explanation was that someone must've seen Harry on the doorstep and took him away. Whoever it was, Dumbledore planned to have Harry relocated, once he started Hogwarts. The Headmaster didn't want the boy to stay here for any longer then he already has.
"Is there anything you can tell me about the boy?" Dumbledore asked, Miss Lynch, as they walked, hoping to get to know more about Harry, the Headmaster hoped he wouldn't have to do any damage control
"The boy is…quiet for the most part…" Miss Lynch spoke "He prefers his on company, and doesn't really like to interact with the other children that often…though, there have been…incidents…"
"Incidents?" Dumbledore repeated, not liking the sound if that "What sort of incidents?"
"Harry isn't fond of some of the other children here...specifically the older kids" Miss Lynch said "A while back, there was a small group of children who liked to...assert their dominance, you could say, by bullying the younger kids...me and the other staff always tried to put a stop to it, but we can only do so much...anyway, the kids then tried to bully Harry..."
"And what happened?" Dumbledore asked, nervously, getting more worried as the woman continued speaking
"I don't know..." Miss Lynch replied "We found the kids, shivering and cowering in their rooms, absolutely terrified...they refused to tell me or the rest of the staff about what happened and, to this day, they still look terrified whenever they see Harry enter the room"
That did not give Dumbledore much hope into the wellbeing of the boy. He feared that history might repeat itself. The Headmaster was silent, as Miss Lynch led him to a door, which had the words 'Keep Out' scratched into the wood of the door, which also didn't give Dumbledore much hope. Miss Lynch knocked on the door, a couple of times, before opening it.
"Harry...you have a visitor..." She said
Once the door was open, Dumbledore was able to look inside. The room wasn't that big and housed nothing more then a bed, wardrobe and a desk and chair. The furniture may have been lacklustre but it still had a homely and comfortable feel to it, despite the ominous feeling of the building itself. Standing in the middle of the room, was the boy he had come here to see. Harry Potter. The boy was of average height for his age and was quite skinny. He had wild and messy black hair which contrasted massively against his pale complexion. Harry also had the recognisable, emerald green eyes his mother had but, to Dumbledore's surprise, he wasn't wearing glasses. Dumbledore vaguely recalled a moment when James said that it was fairly common for Potter males to wear glasses.
Harry looked at Miss Lynch and then Dumbledore, before turning his attention to the clothes scattered across the floor, and began picking them up, a slightly irritated look on his face.
"Again?" Miss Lynch asked, as she saw the mess on the floor "Who is doing it?"
"Someone who believes they're funny by pulling childish pranks" Harry said, as he put his clothes away, speaking in a smooth and neutral tone, like he was talking about the weather
"Hmm, anyway, you have a visitor Harry" Miss Lynch said "He wishes to speak with you, so I'll leave you two alone, for now..."
"Thank you, Miss Lynch," Harry said, before looking at Dumbledore "Forgive me, but who are you...I've been living here since I was a baby and not once have I had any visitors..."
"Well Harry...May I call you Harry?" Dumbledore asked, as he stepped fully into the room, feeling a slight chill as he entered, though he quickly brushed it off
"You may" Harry replied, with a small shrug of his shoulders
"Well Harry, my name is Albus Dumbledore, Headmaster of Hogwarts School" Dumbledore said
"Hogwarts?" Harry repeated, raising an eyebrow "Is this school a Boarding School of some kind?"
"Yes, but its not just any normal school" Dumbledore nodded "Hogwarts is, in fact, a school of witchcraft and wizardry...now, I know it may be difficult to believe in magic, but trust me Harry, it is in fact real..."
"I know it's real" Harry interrupted the Headmaster as he sat down at his desk "I'm not like the other children...I can do things that they can't..."
As Harry spoke, Dumbledore noticed the books that were on Harry's desk. They looked old and battered, ancient in fact, it was clear they had been used a lot over the years. Dumbledore's eyes widened however, the closer he glanced at them. They weren't just ordinary books. They looked like spell books and magical tomes. The boy already knew magic and had spell books on his desk, with no clue on how Harry could have acquired them. Dumbledore's worries and concerns only grew, the more he learnt.
"And what are these things that you can do Harry?" Dumbledore asked, turning his attention back to Harry
"I can make objects move without touching them...I can make animals do what I want them to do, without training them...I can make bad things happen to people who annoy me...I can make them hurt, if I want to" Harry spoke with a neutral tone, though the corned of his mouth was raised in a small smirk "I knew I was different...I knew I was special...I knew there was something there..."
Dumbledore paled when he heard Harry speak. The ancient Headmaster was getting a horrible feeling of Deja vu. It was a word for word repeat of what an 11 year old Tom Riddle had said to Dumbledore, all those years ago, the last time he visited the building. Dumbledore feared that history was repeating itself and he knew he was going to have to do everything he possibly can whilst Harry was at Hogwarts, to make sure that wouldn't happen. He couldn't have another Dark Lord rise up.
"Well, you are correct Harry, you are indeed a wizard..." Dumbledore spoke as he looked at Harry intently, no longer smiling "which is why I would like to offer you a place in Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, like you parents before you...there, we will be able to, not only teach you about magic, but how to control it, and make things that may seem abnormal, normal..."
"I accept this offer and I will attend your school" Harry replied, after a moment of silence
"Wonderful…" Dumbledore said, a small smile on his face, as he removed an envelope from his pocket and handed it to the boy "This letter will contain everything you will need to buy for your First Year at Hogwarts, now I will help you by taking you to Diagon Alley and…"
"I don't need any help…" Harry interrupted the Headmaster for a second time, as he took the letter and opened it up, taking a look at the contents "I can find it myself"
Dumbledore opened his mouth to reply, but closed it again. If those were spell books on his desk, then it was possible Harry knew where Diagon Alley was and how to get there.
"Even if that is true, Harry, I must still recommend that I come with you" Dumbledore said, this time pulling out a key from his pocket "You see, I have the key to your vault in Gringotts Bank and…"
"You have a possession that belongs to me?!" Harry demanded, his smooth tone turning to a more firm and irritated one, as he looked up from the letter, giving Dumbledore a sharp look
"Yes" Dumbledore nodded "You see, your parents gave it to me for safe keeping when…"
"A mistake on their part, or a lie on yours…" Harry interrupted once again, holding his hand out, irritation carved on his face "I don't care either way…I would like it back, seeing as it belongs to me…and I don't care what you say, Sir, but I will go to Diagon Alley and buy everything I need, without your help, thank you very much!"
Dumbledore wanted to refuse, but something told him there was no point in arguing. The boy was growing more irritated by the second, as he stood with his hand out, waiting rather impatiently. And, if the boy was anything like his mother, he will not budge. Lily Potter was the most stubborn witch there was, especially after when she graduated from Hogwarts. Dumbledore sighed, his shoulders slumping a little, as he put the key in Harry's hand, causing the boy to nod slightly, in mild appreciation.
"Thank you…" Harry said, in a smooth tone once again "Is that all, Sir?"
"Yes, Harry, that will be all" Dumbledore nodded "Goodbye, for now Harry, I hope to see you in Hogwarts for your First Year…"
With nothing else to say, Dumbledore gave the boy a small smile, before he left. As he left the Orphanage once again, he paled as he apparated back to his office, in Hogwarts. Things were worse than he initially thought. Dumbledore was getting Déjà vu and now he feared that history was going to repeat itself. That couldn't happen. Dumbledore was going to have to change his plans. Hopefully, during Harry's seven years at Hogwarts, Dumbledore will be able to guide the boy onto the path of the light side, to fulfill his destiny. He was going to have to keep a close eye on Harry when the boy was within the castles walls and, Dumbledore was going to also find a new place for Harry to live when he wasn't at Hogwarts. The ancient Headmaster didn't want Harry going back there.
Dumbledore couldn't have another Voldemort to rise up. Not on his watch.
…
Back in Wools Orphanage, Harry looked out the window, watching Dumbledore leave, before the Headmaster then vanished with a pop. As soon as the Headmaster disappeared, a cold and cruel smile crept its way onto the boys face. Harry almost had to stop himself from laughing out loud. Mother was correct. Making Dumbledore think that he was another Tom Riddle was hilarious to watch. Feeling a cold presence behind him, Harry stopped leaning against the window.
"Did I do well mother?" Harry asked
He turned around to see Miss Lynch standing there, a cruel smile on her face.
"You did well" She said
Harry smiled, as he watched Miss Lynch's body twist and shake. Her features grew and became more thinner, and wicked, as she morphed, the small, sweet and plump body of Miss Lynch now replaced by the manic and psychotic Bellatrix LeStrange, who gave Harry a wicked smile, her eyes gleaming with insanity.
"You did very well indeed" She said, laughing out loud "After watching you scare the all powerful Albus Dumbledore, I can't wait to see what fun you get up to within Hogwarts…they won't be ready for you, my son!"
…
And that is the first chapter done!
What did you guys think? I'm sure you have a lot of questions. The biggest one probably being, why is Bellatrix there, and why is Harry calling her mother? All will be revealed in chapters to come. Will Harry take over the Wizarding World or will Dumbledore be able to stop him? You'll have to find out.
Anyway, before anyone asks, I do not know what the pairings will be for this story. If any of you have ideas and suggestions for which characters will be best suited for a dark, evil and possibly sadistic Harry, please let me know. But, that is all for now.
I hope you enjoyed and I will see you next time, in whatever story I see you in.
Badger Out.
