The War between Holfort and Fanoss had come to an end, the battle took nearly days and nights to end but it all resulted in the end of the conflict when peace was achieved by both sides.

A day had passed after the conflict; our attention is to the Holfort Kingdom which is undergoing complete repairs of its very nation as the land was littered in the scars of the chaos from the war.

The citizens of the Kingdom are all in shelter camps as they are being provided with provisions, and temporary homes while their former homes which are in ruins and rubbles are being cleaned up by the Kingdom's knights and dozens of worker robots.

As the Kingdom's island is getting cleaned up, the Archangel along with the Eternal can be found staying near the Holfort Royal Castle as from one of the many windows, Kira and Lacus can be found walking in a hallway together.

Kira with Lacus walked in the hallway as Hachi along with Tori and Haro are accompanying them. The group heading for the end of the hallway where there is a room at the end which is stood guard by many knights that are a few feet away from the room's door that is guarded by Canard and Luxion.

Canard stood in front of the door before he tilted his head up when he caught sight of Kira and the others.

"it's about damn time." Canard spoke out as the Knights make way for Kira and Lacus who went and stood face to face with him. "those two have been waiting on you guys."

"we know." Kira nodded before he glanced at Luxion. "are their wounds severe?"

"for Hetrauda Sera Fanoss, she is unharmed in any matter." Luxion replied. "only Hertrude Sera Fanoss however who has minor….complications to her health."

"What kind of complications?" Lacus asks.

"better if you go and see it then listen about it." Canard said before he opened the door and motions them to get in. "Luxion will be watching you guys while I stay here and watch your knights."

"very well." Kira nods before he along with Lacus and the others entered with Luxion following behind.

Canard watches them enter before he closed the door, locks it, and then leans against the door frame. He now crossed his arms and watches the knights that are standing by.

In the room, Kira and Lacus find it to be a makeshift medical room where there are two large beds and several tables that has dozens of medicinal herbs, ointments, and etc. the Ultimate Coordinator and Pink Diva turns to one of the beds where there is Hetrauda sitting near Hertrude who lies on the piece of furniture while having bandages covering her arms and neck while she wears a slightly baggy green hospital gown.

"You came to visit, huh?" Hertrude spoke as she turns her head to glance at Kira and the others. "I'm surprised Canard hasn't started a fight with you when you came here."

"How are you doing today?" Kira asks as he and the others came near the bed to check on Hertrude. "How are you feeling?"

"Can't you see considering how bandaged I am?" Hertrude asks before she sighs while turning her head to look at the ceiling while slowly raising her right bandaged hand that she slowly grasped into a fist. "I feel numb all over and I can feel my strength returning by the passing time." She lowered the hand and turns to look at Kira. "I guess I have to thank your Familiar for the medicine."

"I believe so." Kira nodded before he looks at Hachi who came near his shoulder and beeped a few times.

"um…when will my sister be able to walk?" Hetrauda spoke out as Kira and the others look at her. The younger sister went and held Hertrude's right hand. "I mean, after everything that has happened and the monster parasite her. She will heal soon, right?"

"It is hard to say." Lacus replied as she went to the table and picks up a paperboard that has papers filled with images on Hertrude's entire bio data. "What had caused her to be parasite by the monster is an unclear phenomenon for us all and assumptions can't predict the result." She then looks at Hetrauda. "Hachi with Creare are going to constantly watch over her condition and see if she will have a progressive recovery."

"Would that mean that the wounds I have now are going to become permanent scars?" Hertrude asks while sitting up as this made Hetrauda quickly hold her. The first princess of Fanoss pulls her blanket to the side to reveal her legs that has root like red scars. "I thought I would have these as scars when I first saw them." She sighs a bit tiredly. "I guess I just have to wear something to cover them."

"We can help in erasing the scars on your arms and legs." Hachi spoke out as the AI's drone went and hovers near Hertrude's legs then projected a beam that scans her limbs one by one. "though it will take some time, we can erase the scars on your limbs." The AI then beeps a few times while turning to look at the princess' body that it scans. "however, the same cannot be said for the scars covering your body."

"let me guess. The treatment would erase the scars but it would also endanger my life?" Hertrude asks and Hachi nodded his drone in reply which made her sigh. "I knew it."

"we can prescribe you a medicine that would lessen their visibility until we can find another solution to erase the scars and…" Hachi spoke out but Hertrude grabbed the AI's drone from the bottom and then gives it to Kira who takes him back.

"it's fine." Hertrude said with a small smile as she looks down at the scars of her legs. "I'll keep them on me."

"Onee-sama. Are you sure?" Hetrauda asks with a worried look. "we still don't know if they are going to be permanent scars and.."

"it's fine, Rauda." Hertrude told her sister. "These new scars of mine will serve a painful reminder of my stupidity during the war and in my life." She closed her eyes and sighs. "though I would've liked them to be only on my legs instead of my body."

"If that is what you wish for…" Kira spoke out before he made a noise when he sees Lacus coming near and then sitting by the bed. The pink haired princess taking Hertrude's hands and gently grasped them.

"though your scars may remind you of the war but you can remember them as something more important." Lacus spoke with a kind smile. "isn't that right?"

"What do you mean?" Hertrude asks. "What else can these scars even remind me of?"

"your will to live." Lacus said as Hertrude made a confused noise in return. "You were parasite by the monster and your life was consumed yet you came back alive. Why is that possible?" she gently held her hands up. "It's all because of your will to live. It is because of your will to live that you have these scars. That is something you should remember them for."

"my will to live? Are you crazy or what?" Hertrude said after scoffing and looking to the side. "I'm only alive because of your knight who came and saved me. I'm not alive because of my will to life, I just…"

"that's not true." Kira spoke out as Hertrude looks at him. "it's true that I was the one who came and saved you but it was only by your own desire to live was I able to do so." He then smiles to her a bit. "you did say that you wanted to live because you were worried for your sister, right?"

Hertrude made a small noise before she thought about it and remembered how she wished to be able to continue to live and be with her sister when she was trapped in that other world. The first princess then turns to look at Hetrauda who looks at her with teary eyes and sniffling a bit.

"right…I remember." Hertrude said before she takes her hands back from Lacus and then comes near Hetrauda who begins to softly sob to her, the first princess now in a hug with her sister. "sorry, I forgot. I guess after everything that has happened, it slipped my mind."

"I see.." Lacus nodded with a smile before she slowly gets off the bed and came near Kira who held her close. "we'll be leaving you two be now. Remember to rest and we'll check on you again."

Hertrude nodded while patting and caressing Hetrauda's back.

Kira and Lacus leaves the room as Hachi and Tori followed behind.

Some time later, at the throne room of the Holfort Castle. Kira is found standing before the King and Queen of the Kingdom as the young man was called for a meeting with them. Lacus is present as she stood beside Mylene with Haro in her hand.

"I believe I have to be the first to say that the Holfort Kingdom owes an eternal and deep gratitude for Count Bartfort in his efforts on saving us all from the former Dukedom's invasion." Roland spoke out while folding his hands together. "I would like to bestow you a reward fitting for your efforts in the war, but considering our nation's current situation; I'm afraid such rewards must be placed aside for another time."

"all the rewards that you wish to give me should be given to the knights and the people." Kira spoke out before he took a glance to the outside by a window as he saw a bunch of worker robots carrying away a large Armor's charred up arm. "the knights protected the people and the people are what builds your nation as it is. they need it more than I do." He then looks back at the king. "I'm satisfied with having my current status, finance, and etc. I don't need anymore."

"I believe the Count is being modest." Mylene stated with a small smile before she then bowed her head. "but please accept our eternal gratitude and apology for dragging you into this war of ours. It was not in our best intention to escalate it and.."

"I understand and it's fine." Kira said as he cuts Mylene's sentence. "right now, I'm more concerned about the current situation between Holfort and other neighboring kingdoms." He then looks at Lacus. "did other countries seek out this opportunity to invade?"

"they did, but after the war with Fanoss was ceased. The other nations decided to stop any further invasive acts." Lacus replied before smiling. "I believe the spreading rumor that a single knight defeating a nation has went wide to the point that they are being more cautious. Right now, they're all asking for a diplomatic meeting with us before any further actions."

"I see.." Kira nodded in understanding. "what will happen to what remains of the former Dukedom now?"

"They will be accepted into the Kingdom as an Archduke household but under surveillance by our knights." Roland replied. "albeit they did surrender to us everything that they have for the ceasefire, we still cannot take the chance of an uprising of their people who may perhaps one day cause a coup."

"but I believe that would cease considering the Kingdom's new change of policy." Lacus stated as Kira made a confused noise.

"Lacus, we are still discussing such notions." Roland spoke out while looking at the pink haired diva with a disapproving look on his face. "Count Bartfort may take it as an opportunity that he won't miss."

"then I must say that you are wrong, Father." Lacus replied as she looks at Kira with a smile. "this new state of policy will benefit many but I doubt Kira himself would see it as such benefit."

"what do you mean by that?" Kira asks, very confused.

"I believe I should explain." Mylene said before politely coughing into a fist that she raised near her mouth before facing Kira. "do you recall the history of how the war between Holfort and Fanoss had once started, Count?"

"yes, I do." Kira replied, remembering that the war was caused by a former household of the Kingdom that grew its own independence and years later it created the Fanoss Dukedom.

"Do you understand why the female nobilities are given extremely favorable treatment in the Kingdom?" Mylene added in and Kira shakes his head in response to which she answers. "Originally the number of male is extremely few in part because of the wars. You won't notice while in the academy but, after the graduation the number of male becomes insufficient. In fact the number of female who cannot marry are numerous."

"are you saying that…?" Kira spoke as he is slowly realizing it.

"yes." Mylene nodded. "The nobles got conditioned to hold a shared sense of values in the academy. In so doing the kingdom favorably treated the female more. Even though it was somewhat horrible, the kingdom continued to take the stance that gave preferential treatment to the female." She sighs a bit. "At first the kingdom never imagined that this kind of situation will happen. It will be alright if the feudal lords are taught to have the same sense of values and camaraderie with each other while shaving off their strength slightly, the kingdom only thought that far. But, the effect surpassed the imagination. The females grew impudent."

"that would explain many things, wouldn't it?" Hachi asks after beeping a few times. "the numerous amounts of female noble students having the characters would have their question be answered because of this situation, correct?"

"yes, it is." Kira nodded before he cups his chin. "but how could such situation leads to the current one? Couldn't the society adapt and somehow evolve its prospect?"

"There wasn't any need for that." Mylene shakes her head. "In fact, if I was an official at that era I would also ignore it. It was convenient for the kingdom. After all the feudal lords will get impoverished even without them doing anything, and their riches will gather in the capital. The number of nobles that revolted also got reduced drastically." She then raises a hand that she waved to the side. "however, another objective of the academy is to establish an education method."

"and that would be to allow commoners to join the academy, correct?" Kira asks, remembering how Olivia was the only former commoner who joined the Holfort Academy.

"yes." Mylene nodded. "It was all to create a world where the nobles are unnecessary a few hundred years later."

"such thing would be called an egalitarian society, would it not?" Hachi beeped a few times as the AI just checked his data about such a notion and found a match. "albeit not practiced at many countries, it was a notion very much supported in several nations during the year 90s and above."

"I guess this is why many corrupt nobles are now stripped of their nobility and privileges." Kira said. "albeit it caused a matrimony society, it was somewhat capable in decreasing chances of inner war."

"and changing its status to a centralized authoritarian rule by a few hundred years." Hachi added in. "doing such notion could actually help the Kingdom prosper for centuries if it is handled correctly."

"Indeed." Mylene nodded. "but that future is something we must continue to achieve by only prospering the kingdom in our current time."

"And perhaps the Count may help in it." Roland added in.

"that's…" Kira spoke out before Lacus suddenly claps her hands loudly twice as this got everyone's attention.

"I believe that is all for today's meeting." Lacus said as she went and came to Kira's side. "Father, Mylene-san. I shall be excusing myself and Kira from the throne room as he has other situations to attend to for the moment." She smiles and did a curtsy. "I shall be guiding and assisting him during the situations."

"but we still haven't…" Roland spoke out before he shuts up when Lacus gave him a sweet smile that hides a fury of a thousand worlds if he made another word so he just nodded a bit awkwardly. "v-very well. We shall tend to this discussion another time."

"thank you, father." Lacus nods before she hugs Kira's right arm and smiles to him. "let's go, Kira."

"okay?" Kira replied as the two turns around and begins walking to the doorway with Hachi's drone following behind. "but to be honest, what other situations that I need to attend to?"

"you'll see." Lacus replied.

As the two went and exited the throne room, Roland turns to Mylene.

"Was Lacus always like….this?" Roland asks her.

"She is after meeting Count Bartfort." Mylene replied after shrugging her shoulders. "you just never noticed it earlier than I did."

In the hallway of the castle, Kira and Lacus walks down the path as they are heading somewhere.

"just what do I need to attend to, Lacus?" Kira asks the princess. "if it's about the rebuilding progress then.."

"it's not that." Lacus replied while smiling. "I just said it to get you out of a possible problem."

"Possible problem?" Kira asks with a confused look.

"Miss Lacus is correct." Hachi spoke out as the AI's drone hovers near the two. "considering the obligations that are given to many nobles, if Kira had been given a higher rank on the spot he would be forced to oblige and be sided with the Kingdom's nationality."

"eh? Then that would mean…" Kira said and Lacus nodded.

"it would mean that you'll be considered a true resident of the Kingdom and a noble that must oblige with the rules of the Kingdom." Lacus said as she and Kira stops near a window where they see the Kingdom being rebuilt. "as much as it is a good thing to be able to aid them, we are not from this world and therefore should not create too much of a connection with them or it shall burden us when the time comes for us to leave."

"I see.." Kira nodded in understanding. "I guess I'm not that cut out for such a position."

"being a Count of a lower Rank is enough for someone of your prestige, Kira." Hachi stated. "perhaps it is best if we stop any chances of you having another rank up in your nobility."

"I agree." Lacus nodded before smiling. "but you don't need to worry for I have a plan to ensure it."

"really? What is it?" Kira asks.

"you just have to wait and see it." Lacus smiles before both continued to walk again. "now, I think we've made them wait quite long enough. We should go before the youngest son becomes a bit too impatient."

"wait. Them? Youngest son?" Kira looks very confused as he didn't understand what was Lacus saying. "Who are you talking about, Lacus?"

"Who other than the people who have saved you, Kira." Lacus said as they reached a door by the end of the hallway, the princess pushing it open and enters with Kira who followed and made a surprised noise when he sees that it is the Bartfort Family who are waiting around in the room.

"It's Kira-niichan!" Colin exclaimed with a big smile as he went and runs to Kira who he gives a big hug. "you're back!"

Kira was a bit stunned at the sudden hug, but a moment later he returned it and patted the young boy's head.

"yeah, I'm back." Kira said as he then lowered Colin to the floor. "It's good to see you again, Colin."

Colin grins as Kira patted his head.

"we're so glad that you're safe, Kira!" Balcus said with a smile as he and Luce came to him. "when you got sent to the Dungeon and the news of a war coming, we're so worried that you might be caught up in it!" he then went and patted Kira's shoulders twice then shakes him once. "but we're glad that you're alright!"

"we're so very glad." Luce said while wiping away a tear from her right eye.

"Thank you and I'm sorry for worrying you all." Kira said before bowing his head a bit. "I'm very sorry."

"it's fine." Balcus nodded before patting Kira's shoulders again. "all that matters that the war is over and everyone is alright."

"yes." Kira nodded with a smile.

"Kira-kun~!" Jenna hollered out as she lunged straight for the young man who gets pushed down to the floor. "I'M SO GLAD THAT YOU'RE OKAY~! SO GLAD~! SO GLAD~!"

"J-Jenna-san, thanks for y-your concern but please…!" Kira gets smothered by Jenna who rubs her cheeks against his. "J-J-Jenna-san!"

"Jenna! Don't act such a way with Kira!" Balcus went and seized his eldest daughter away which saves Kira from the smothering. "we're in front of the princess, remember!?"

"but Kira-kun was away for so long and~!" Jenna whined out loud.

Kira gets up after the whole smothering, the young man looking a bit awkward and scared because he could feel Lacus staring holes into his soul. The pink haired princess staring at her beloved while having a smile but down below; her right hand can be seen making a hard and clenched fist that has some veins popping out.

'so there's more of them, is it?' Lacus thought, noting and counting how many girls who have been 'infatuated' with Kira over the time he has been in Holfort.

"oh…boy…" Kira mumbled out as he knew that Lacus was angry and upset. 'I really need to make a line and stop making Lacus angrier by the second~!'

"seems that you got back in one piece after all of that, huh?" Nicks said as he went and patted Kira's right shoulder. "though it was a bit chaotic, we're grateful that you managed to put an end to it all."

"I was only able to do so with everyone's help." Kira said a bit hastily. "if it was me alone, I wouldn't be able to do it."

"I guess so." Nicks nodded before he sighs and smiles a bit tiredly. "though thinking about the aftermath, it's going to be quite hectic once things settled down."

"Why you say that?" Kira asks.

"considering that me and my dad were participants in the war, we are gonna get our nobility ranks increased." Nicks said while waving a hand to the side. "not only that, since Zola and her kids were runaway, they got their nobility stripped, their entire fortune handed to us, and they got cut off from our family."

"does that mean we are gonna get more allowance money now?" Finley asks before her mother gave her daughter a quick slap to the back to the head. "ow! What was that for!?"

"anyway, we're basically going to be more than some back land nobles." Balcus said before he sighs a bit tiredly while facepalming. "just thinking of all the work that I got to do after being ranked up and all."

"My condolences…." Kira said while sweatdropping.

an hour later, Kira and Lacus are back at walking in the hallway as they just bid farewell to the Bartfort Household who came to the castle in concern for Kira. Right now they are heading to the lower levels of the castle floor by floor.

"they are a very nice family." Lacus said. "Balcus-san and Luce-san are very sweet and kind. Nicks-san and Colin-kun as well."

"yeah, they're the ones who saved my life after coming to this world after all." Kira said with a nodding smile. "Balcus-san and Luce-san reminds me so much of my adoptive parents too."

"I see." Lacus nodded before smiling a bit sweetly to Kira. "though I can't say that their daughters remind you of anyone, correct?"

"w-well…." Kira chuckles a bit awkwardly as he was sure that Lacus disapproves of the Bartfort Household' daughters' behaviors but he guesses it was more directed to Jenna only.

"perhaps it would be best to keep the conversation for another time?" Hachi spoke out as the AI's drone came near the two by hovering in front. "Miss Lacus, why are we going down the lower floors?"

"yeah, why are we going down?" Kira asks quickly, the Ultimate Coordinator being grateful for his AI's friend quick save.

"well, I wasn't lying much about there being some problems that we must attend to." Lacus said as she then sighs. "even if one of those problems is my so called brother."

"what?" Kira and Hachi made a response in unison before both looked at one another.

At the Dungeon of the Holfort Castle and within a large cell. Marie and her five idiotic lovers are found cuffed and chained inside for some reason.

"I'm so sorry, everyone~" Marie cried out as she weeps in some tears. "it's all my fault!"

"it's alright, Marie." Julius said with an assuring smile to the small blonde girl. "What we did was our own decision. You have nothing to apologize for."

"if there was anything to be apologized, it would be our weakness in unable to fully help you in your dire moment, Marie-san." Jilk spoke with a smile. "please forgive us, Marie-san."

"do forgive us, Marie." Chris said. "we were only able to help with much effort in protecting the kingdom and you."

"yeah." Greg nodded before he looks irritated. "but we can't say the same thing about that masked bastard who just up and left us be when the war was over."

"how rude of him." Brad nodded in agreement before he cupped his chin. "though, I'm curious to his Armor as it is somehow looks familiar for some reason."

As they were discussing about the masked knight, Julius could only do his best to hide his smile.

"this masked knight must be quite extraordinary if you guys are talking this much about him." Julius asks with a somewhat smug smile. "I wish I could've met him."

"There is no need for your highness to meet him!" Jilk stated. "He was a man who suddenly appeared and tried to take control of the place. His identity has to be questioned the next time he appear."

While they were discussing about the masked knight, Marie could only look dumbfounded.

'Why do I feel like Julius is this so called Masked Knight?' Marie thought while looking at the five idiots.

As this discussion continues, the door to the Dungeon's cell is opened by a guard who then lets in Kira and Lacus.

"Bartfort!?" Julius and his companions exclaimed in seeing the young man and the pink princess. "Princess/Lacus!?"

"Marie Fou Lafan, I can understand but why are those five in here?" Kira asks, surprised to see the five. He then turns to look at Hachi. "didn't we send them away to fight by protecting the Kingdom instead?"

"we did." Hachi replied. "but it would appear that they did something inappropriate during the aftermath of the war."

"by inappropriate, I would define it as something appropriate." Brad stated with a huff. "we all do not regret it one bit too!"

"Just what did they do?" Kira asks, curious.

"they are charged with assault upon the Duchess of Fanoss and the Temple's priests." Lacus stated with a look that says "I'm very disappointed" which is mostly directed towards Julius. "although the assault upon Hertrude was avoided thanks to her bodyguard, the latter problem wasn't avoided well."

"I don't believe we have done anything to be ashamed for at all." Jilk stated while holding up his hands to his chest. "though we might have found ourselves at a disadvantage against the Fanoss Bodyguard, the Temple's priests had it coming when they tried to poison Marie."

"poison her?" Kira asks while looking a bit surprised.

"I believe it is due to the fact that she revealed herself to be a fake Saint and in result causing the decimation of the Temple's forces." Hachi said while beeping a few times. "the Priests of the Temple might have seen her as an eyesore and decided to eliminate her."

"can you believe that!?" Greg asks. "Marie is the real Saint! The holy items responded to her powers! She was just too scared during the war! That's all!"

"even so, it doesn't change the fact that her fear is what caused the Temple's military power to be decimated to only 44%" Lacus stated before she sighs. "although, their actions in preventing an assassination had given us enough evidence to purge the Temple's members of unnecessary individuals who have been arrested."

"That is an understatement." Chris said while adjusting his glasses. "we've successfully purged the Temple of corrupted evil and let new seeds grow in their place."

"I see.." Kira said before he sighs. "but what about the attempt to attack Hertrude? What would you gain if you managed to do such things?"

"actually, I'm the only who would gain something from it." Julius said. "if this peace treaty of ours managed to go through, I would be subjected to marry Duchess Hertrude to keep the peace."

"and with Julius being a part of our team, we couldn't let such things happen." Brad added in.

"so you tried to attack her, all because you didn't want him to get married to Hertrude?" Kira said with a bewildered look before he sighs while facepalming. "now I understand why the Fanoss Dukedom still have their resentment upon the Kingdom even after surrendering."

"though they may still resent us, we've managed to acquire an equal standing in the peace treaty." Lacus stated after sighing a bit. "in all honesty, the conditions of the previous peace treaty that the nobles had come up were in no question 'too demanding' to be used for such a treaty."

"I do not believe that such notion would be regarded inappropriate after those five's actions?" Hachi asks after beeping a few times.

"so….what's going to happen to us now?" Marie asks with a pleading look. "i-I did tell you everything! And you said that you would do something if I did, right!?"

"I did." Lacus nodded before she looks at Julius and the others. "Though I'm beginning to think otherwise after the stunt that your so called 'Lovers' had done to save you from several predicaments." She then looks back at Marie. "using their Armors to rampage upon the Temple's buildings doesn't actually help, does it?"

"Wait, they destroyed the Temple's buildings?" Kira asks. "I thought the Fanoss Forces were the one who did it?"

"I believe the word 'ad-libbing' would define the whole scenario." Hachi stated, understanding how covering up an incident would be done. "Considering that the Temple is basically the Kingdom's religion, knowing that their faith got trampled by their own people especially if they are the former crowned prince and nobilities. It would result in chaos."

"indeed." Lacus nodded before she sighs. "in regards to your freedom, I shall make arrangements for you to be living at a floating island under the jurisdiction of the Kingdom. You won't be considered a noble anymore nor will you be considered a commoner." Her eyes squinted a bit. "behave well and you might earn some forgiveness in the future."

"okay! I will! As long as I don't die, I'll do anything!" Marie said while in relief.

"and as for you five." Lacus turns to Julius and the others. "you'll be set free in due time as well, but there is the matter of your punishment."

"We are prepared." Chris said. "as long as Marie is safe, nothing else matters."

"yeah, we've already got disowned once." Greg said while lying down on the floor all relaxed. "if our households wants to disown us again, then let them do it."

"we are happy as long as Marie is happy." Brad added in.

"to know that she is alright, it is nothing but joy for us." Jilk stated and Julius nodded his head twice in agreement.

"I see.." Lacus said before she closed her eyes and tilted her head down a bit. "I shall inform each households about your decision, but.." she opened her eyes and looks down at the five with a rather darkish look. "it doesn't exactly mean that you all will be getting out of this unharmed."

"eh?" Julius and the others made a confused noise as they didn't understand what she meant.

"Creare?" Lacus called out as the female AI's drone made an appearance in the Dungeon.

"yes~? What is it, Princess Lacus~?" Creare asks all cheerfully.

"have you prepared it?" Lacus asks the AI.

"yes! It's all ready to go!" Creare said. "would you like me to get things up and running now?"

"please do" Lacus nodded and Creare's drone flew out of the Dungeon.

Everyone looks confused as they didn't know what was going on.

After a while, Creare's drone comes flying back into the Dungeon as the AI brought something with it.

"allow me to introduce to your Doom~!" Creare said as a large bulk-ish but humanoid looking robot entered the Dungeon while carrying what appears to be two large long and wide wooden planks in its grasp. "Meet the Spanker~!"

"the…." Everyone muttered out before looking confused. "Spanker?"

"I believe I can let you handle things from here, Creare" Lacus said before she went to Kira and holds his hands then escorted him out. "do take one hour breaks before continuing, understand?"

"okie dokie~!" Creare replied while a bunch of robots came following after the so called Spanker which proceeded to open the cell door that allowed its metal brethren to come in and takes out Julius and his entourage. "time for punishment, boys~!"

"w-wait! What do you mean by punishment!?" Julius cried out as the robots forced him and his friends to bend over with their rears raised up. "hey!?"

"this is not a pose for such people like us!" Jilk exclaimed while Creare ignored his cries along with the others.

The Spanker came behind as the humanoid robot proceeded to wield its wooden paddles that were pulled back and then were swung forward with quick yet strong force to slam the objects' flat side straight at the five men's ass.

"OOOWWW~~!"

Meanwhile outside, Kira could hear their cries of pain as he wondered what had happened after Lacus escorted him out.

Sometime later, Kira and Lacus are found outside of the Holfort Castle as they are watching dozens of robots and Armors working around the clock in repairing the damages upon the Archangel. The white and red legged spaceship had been damaged quite badly but with spare parts and materials; it won't take too long for it to be back in action.

"seems that we've managed to win with so much." Kira said and Lacus nodded, both seeing a large trailer moving out of the Archangel as it is carrying the damaged and broken parts of the Duel's Assault Shroud armor. "I didn't believe we could win with what we only had with us."

"that is true." Lacus nodded in agreement. "but we've managed to pull through and win the battle." She turns and smiles to Kira. "that is something to be happy for."

"That's right." Kira replied while smiling back to Lacus as both intertwined their hands.

Kira and Lacus watches as the Archangel gets repaired, but as they did, a few people came by.

"Kira-san!" Olivia's voice is heard as Kira and Lacus turns to see her with Angelica, Clarice, and Deidre coming by. "Kira-san!"

"Livia? Everyone?" Kira sees them coming as Olivia went straight to hug him. "what are you guys doing here?"

"We were trying to find you" Angelica said as Kira looks at her while Olivia backs away from the hug. "I heard that you were busy and I thought that we wouldn't be able to find you."

"We had to ask some knights to find out that you and Princess Lacus were here." Clarice added in.

"it was tough going around and asking everyone we see." Deidre said while opening her fan and holding it in front of her face that is blushing for some reason. "it was quite the treatment from you~."

"I see.." Kira said a bit unnerved.

"What are you doing here now, Kira-san?" Olivia asks while seeing the Archangel getting repaired. "isn't Hachi-san doing the repairs right now?"

"yeah." Kira nodded. "but seeing that it got damaged, I wanted to watch as it gets repaired."

"This ship is beyond amazing." Angelica commented as she looks at the large ship. "I knew that it had to be a Lost Item and whatnot, but to think that it had such raw firepower."

"if this ship was mass produced, just think about how powerful the Kingdom might become." Clarice added in.

"That is only if the Count allows it though?" Deidre said as she glances at the two who glanced back. "I hope you all haven't forgotten the Count's personality, right?"

"Kira/-kun's personality?" Angelica and Clarice spoke in unison before they look at Kira who is staring at the Archangel with a somewhat solemn look. The two thinking about Deidre's words and realized that the young man would never make such powerful weapons for others to use.

"even if the Count was forced to do it, he would never create any mass production of the Archangel." Deidre stated while closing her eyes and tilting her head down a bit. "be more mindful of your words next time."

Angelica and Clarice hated to admit it but they nodded their heads in accepting the fact that they shouldn't try to think of something that would result in conflict.

As this little group up continues, there came Hachi with Creare as both AIs' drones flew to Kira.

"Kira! There's trouble!" Hachi exclaimed.

"what?" Kira asks confused before he hears a loud engine roar and he along with everyone else looks up while shielding their eyes as a huge gust of wind blew out. "what!?"

"isn't that!?" Angelica exclaimed as everyone looks to the sky and sees the Super Hyperion hovering in the air. "Canard Pars' Gundam!?"

"hey, kid! It's time to get ready for our last fight!" Canard's voice is heard from the Gundam's speakers. "It's time that we end our differences once and for all!"

"We just won the war and this guy still wants to fight!?" Clarice exclaimed in surprise

"Some people must not know when to quit!" Deidre stated.

"we need to warn the King! Having another fight is just!" Angelica exclaimed, ready to run and call for help but was stopped by Kira who waved out a hand to her. "wha? Kira?"

"leave this one to me." Kira said. "no one else interferes."

"but Kira-san!" Olivia cried out but Kira held up a hand to stop her from talking anymore.

"Kira.." Lacus looks at Kira who is staring back at the Super Hyperion with a determined look in his eyes.

Hours pass as night came to the Holfort Kingdom.

At the Holfort Castle's Armor hangar, there is the Super Hyperion Gundam and the Freedom Gundam that stood at the entrance of the facility while receiving maintenance repairs by dozens of drone robots. The latter mobile suit had been given repairs to its entire frame but its beam rifle and beam shield was replaced with that of the Justice's weaponry due to the sudden need for its deployment. Both mobile suits stood still as they received their maintenance while awaiting their pilots.

Meanwhile at a locker room, Kira is found standing in front of an opened locker where he is zipping up his pilot suit on and adjusted it before picking up his helmet then closes the door.

"you don't have to do this." Angelica's voice is heard as Kira turns and sees her with Olivia, and the others. The Redgrave's daughter looking worried. "even if he challenges you, we can still see this as an act of violence and.."

"and he won't stop no matter what." Kira stated. "that man is very strong with or without his Gundam." He looks down and held up his helmet that he stares at. "I know that better than anyone."

"But Kira-kun! this man wants to literally kill you!" Clarice exclaimed. "I don't know anything about why he wants to kill you, but killing someone especially you isn't something to just be accepted!"

"Whether or not we can accept it. There's no changing the fact that it has to be accepted." Kira said before putting on his helmet. "we will fight no matter what."

"they say that men are foolish in many things, but this is by far the foolish thing that a man could ever do." Deidre said. "do you not know that Third Times the Charm? This is your third battle against your foe, this may also be your last."

"please, Kira-san! Fighting anymore isn't right!" Olivia cried out. "you've nearly got yourself killed the last two times you fought against that man! If you fight him again!"

"you might die! For real!" Angelica added in to Olivia's statement, her words emphasizing everyone's worry.

"I appreciate your concerns, but it has to be done." Kira said. "it's the only way to settle things between me and him."

"but still!" Angelica cried out before Lacus made an appearance as she came to stand before Kira.

"He is awaiting for your arrival." Lacus told Kira who nodded.

"thank you, Lacus." Kira thanked her with a smile as she nodded back before both begins to walk straight for the door.

"wait! Kira-san! You just can't! if you do!" Olivia cried out as she tried to stop Kira but Lacus prevented her.

"This is the fate that is intertwined between Kira and Canard Pars." Lacus said. "do you not remember the elven elder's prophecy?"

"That is just a prophecy! We can just prevent it from happening and!" Angelica exclaimed but Kira stopped her by holding a hand to her right shoulder. "Kira?"

"Prophecy or not, it doesn't change the fact that we will have to fight now or later." Kira said before smiling. "don't worry, I won't die. I promise."

"but…." Olivia tried to retort but Lacus gently pushes her aside before going to the door with Kira by her side.

Leaving the locker room, Kira and Lacus followed by Angelica and the others went straight to where the two Gundams awaited as they soon find out that there is also Queen Mylene, Raymond, Daniel, and the Bartfort Household's Family waiting for them too.

"Mylene-san? Balcus-san? Raymond and Daniel everyone?" Kira spoke in meeting them. "why are you all here?"

"we're here for you, duh?" Daniel said. "you're our best friend, remember?"

"You won the war to help us all." Raymond added in while adjusting his glasses and smile a bit. "it wouldn't be fair if we weren't here to give you our support for this last fight."

"I see." Kira nodded with a smile before he looks at Mylene who came near.

"We've heard about the challenge that Canard Pars declared to you, Kira-kun." Mylene said while looking a bit worried. "I can understand your reason for challenging him, but if you don't wish for it; I can instantly call the troops to stop this and…"

"Mylene-san, that won't be necessary." Lacus stated with a serious look in her eyes. "Kira won't lose, he won't die, he will win. I can promise you that."

"Lacus…" Mylene looks surprised to hear Lacus' words as she somehow felt that the princess' words were going to be true.

"you can do this, Kira-niichan!" Colin exclaimed while coming near Kira. "you can beat that bad guy!"

"Thank you, Colin." Kira smiles while patting the young boy's head.

"it's okay to surrender if you can't win." Nicks said. "this guy is strong, I've seen his Armor fight and.."

"you will definitely win, Kira-kun! definitely!" Jenna interrupted Nicks. "you can win! I'll put a bomb on that guy's Armor if I have to!"

"no need for that, Jenna-san…" Kira said a bit awkward and weirded out as it felt like the Duel he had against Julius and his entourage back then.

"don't die, because you're the one who gives us more money, right?" Finley said all nonchalantly and this got her another slap to the head by Luce. "ow!"

"Kira, if you don't want to fight that person…" Balcus spoke as he and Luce looks worried to Kira who just nodded.

"I know, and I'm grateful." Kira said as he looks at everyone in the area. "I'm grateful to you all." He then looks back at Balcus. "but don't worry, I won't die nor will I lose. I'll win, I promise."

Balcus looks at Kira for a moment before he sighs with a smile and nodded.

"if you can say that with a straight face, I've got no choice but to believe in you." Balcus said before he patted Kira's shoulder. "but do try to not get hurt too much, alright?"

"yes." Kira nodded before Luce came and suddenly hugs him. "L-Luce-san?"

"please be safe, Kira-kun." Luce said in a voice that sounded like a very worried mother. "I know that I'm not your mother but you've been like a third son to us and you're family." She looks at Kira and patted his head a bit. "please be safe and come back home, alright?"

Kira looks at Luce in surprise for a moment before he smiles and nodded.

"yes, I will." Kira said before he shared another hug with Luce then separated.

"please be safe, Kira." Angelica said as she and the others came near Kira. "please be safe for us."

"I know, I promise." Kira nodded before each girls came to give him a big hug, none bigger than Jenna who smothered herself to him.

Afterwards, Kira turns to Lacus who came and held his hands. The two didn't speak another word but they knew what each other wanted to say to the other.

"I'll be going." Kira said and Lacus nodded.

"Take care and be safe." Lacus replied and Kira nods back.

The two then hugged each other as it lasted for a minute before ending.

"what's with that Drama?" Canard's voice is heard as everyone turns and sees him coming with his pilot suit on and his helmet held under his right arm. "you guys make it like you'll miss the guy." He then smirks. "though you will miss him once I've finished with him."

"Kira won't lose to you!" Angelica exclaimed. "he won't ever lose to you!"

"yes! That's right!" Olivia cried out in agreement.

"We'll see about that." Canard replied as he went straight for his Super Hyperion. "get on your Gundam and follow me to the place where you'll be making your grave, kid."

Kira watches Canard before he looks back at Lacus as both shared a quick kiss and another hug that lasted only a few seconds.

Now Kira is walking to his Gundam as both the Freedom and Super Hyperion's maintenances have been finished.

Canard reaches out to grab the elevator rope that would help him get up to his Gundam's cockpit but was stopped by Hetrauda who came screaming and running towards him.

"wait! Canard!" Hetrauda cried out as everyone turns to see her running straight for Canard, but stopped just a few feet away from him. "Canard! Wait!"

"What do you want now?" Canard asks while facing her with his arms crossed. "I'm in the middle of something here."

"I don't care about that!" Hetrauda cried out. "what are you thinking of challenging Count Bartfort into a duel!? I won't allow it!"

"you won't allow it? You don't got the authority." Canard said before waving his right hand towards Hetrauda in a shooing manner. "why don't you go back to your flat chested sister and take care of her like you've been doing for an entire day?"

"who are you calling flat chested!?" Hertrude's voice is heard as everyone sees the first princess coming to the man while on an automated wheel chair. "I have you know that I am still the Duchess of Fanoss!"

"yeah, yeah. Duchess smuches." Canard said in a nonchalant voice. "you can call yourself anything you want, but you don't got not authority on me."

"we've hired you! You are our bodyguard and we are your employer! Therefore!" Hetrauda exclaimed before Canard shuts her up by pinching her lips together. "hhmgh!?"

"yeah, I am your bodyguard." Canard said as he lets go of her lips before flicking her forehead hard. "or I was your bodyguard. In case you forgotten but I was employed by the princesses of the Fanoss Dukedom and since your kingdom is no more, I'm basically unemployed now."

"but still!" Hetrauda cried out while holding a hand to her flicked forehead. "you can't just go and fight again! After that battle!"

"I'm not satisfied with it." Canard said. "me and that guy got a score to settle no matter what and we won't accept a draw or anything." His eyes showed a serious glint. "so don't get in our way."

Hetrauda looks at Canard in surprise for a moment before she slowly tears up and begins to cry.

"you can't!" Hetrauda cried out in tears as she went and hugs him. "please! Please don't fight! I don't want you to fight anymore! I don't want you to die! Please, Canard! Please!"

Hetrauda cries out to Canard who gets hugged tight by her. This scene was watched by everyone as they could feel how worried the second princess is for the man.

"Hetrauda-san…" Olivia mumbled out, her face looks sad as she can feel her pain.

Canard growled in annoyance to her cries as he looks at Hetrauda before to her sister who came near.

"you are the only one who treated Rauda as any girl." Hertrude said. "you should understand why she doesn't want you to get hurt or killed in any way."

Canard looks at her before to Hetrauda who just cries to him. The man looks annoyed for a moment before he sighs and proceeded to caress her head.

"Rauda, listen to me." Canard spoke out softly. "this is something that I got to settle with that guy no matter what. this is something that is destined from the moment he and I met." He slowly made Hetrauda look up at him as the princess gets her tears wiped away. "so please understand that this fight between us has to happen no matter what."

"but! But this fight is!" Hetrauda cried out but Canard stopped her by gently shushing her.

"I know but it's a fight I got to be in." Canard said before smiling a bit. "thanks for everything. Thank you for employing me and giving me a place to call home." He patted her head. "thanks, Rauda."

Hetrauda looks at Canard before she shed more tears while slowly letting go of him.

"good girl." Canard caresses her head as he smiles to her before he puts on his helmet then turns around to grab hold of the elevator rope which then proceeded to pull him up to his Gundam's cockpit.

Hetrauda sniffles and sobs while Hertrude came to her side and held her hand in a comforting gesture.

"he'll be alright, I promise." Hertrude said as Hetrauda looks at her sister who smiles to her.

Everyone in the hangar watches as Kira and Canard enters their Gundams' cockpits as the mobile suit's systems activated by the pilot's actions.

The Freedom's PS Armor activated before the Gundam's eyes flashes yellow. The winged mobile suit turns and begins to walk out of the hangar with the Hyperion that followed after.

All watched as the Freedom and the Hyperion ignited their thrusters at full charge before both mobile suits flew straight into the night sky.

In the distant sky, The Freedom and the Super Hyperion flew to a high altitude area of the Kingdom where there is no civilians or anything alike within a few mile radius of their current position. There is only the night sky, clouds, and a number of small floating islands.

"This place will do." Canard said as he finds the area to have no signs of life or anything alike with the help of his instruments. He then looks at the main screen showing his foe and his mobile suit hovering in front of him and his own. "this will be the place where we settle things once and for all."

"very well." Kira said as he squinted his eyes. "let's end this cycle of violence and hatred once and for all, Canard."

"Took the words right out of my mouth, Yamato." Canard said while smirking a bit. "it's time to finally declare who is the true Ultimate Coordinator!"

The battle has begun between two Coordinators as this match was watched by Lacus and everyone in the hangar as it is projected with the help of Luxion, Creare, and Hachi's drones.

"you can do it, Kira-niichan!" Colin cried out. "you can do it!"

"go for his head! His head!" Jenna shouted.

"go!" Daniel cried out as he, Jenna, Colin, and Raymond are cheering for Kira, they watched as the Freedom flew around and fired numerous energy beams at the Hyperion that blocked them all with its beam shield. "go around and do it again!"

"no! he's got to go and do it at the guy's blindspot!" Raymond exclaimed before the three made a surprised noise when they see the Hyperion kicking away the Freedom and proceeded to fire a rain of energy beams at the winged gundam. "ahhh!"

While they were cheering, everyone else watched in tense silence as they see how each attack between the two are killing strikes.

"This is beyond worrying." Luce said as she watched the Freedom and the Hyperion getting locked in a beam saber battle where sparks keeps on flying each time they clashed.

"yeah." Balcus nodded with a bead of sweat sliding down his face. The head of the Bartfort Household seeing how the two Gundams clashed multiple times with no end. "and I thought the war was tense."

"just one miss step and either of them will instantly die." Nicks said before gulping. "this is damn hard to watch."

"is it?" Finley asks, unbothered.

Angelica and the others watched with worried and tensed looks as they see the Freedom getting pushed to crash upon a floating island where both it and the Hyperion begins a land battle where they fired at each other.

"Kira.." Angelica whispers as she watched the Freedom unleash a full burst attack against the Hyperion that deployed its Armure Lumiere to shield itself, the two Gundams getting engulfed in a huge smoke explosion that quickly blew away when both dashed in and clashed their beam sabers.

"Just what are they fighting for?" Olivia asks with a worried voice. "just to prove which one is better? That kind of reason is just too!"

"it sounds like Livia-chan hasn't heard." Creare spoke out as the AI's drone comes near her while Hachi and Luxion's drones continued to project the fight. "this fight isn't to prove which one is better, but to end all their grudge and conflict once and for all."

"what do you mean by that?" Clarice asks while looking confused. "a fight to end all their grudge and conflict? What does that even mean?"

"it means that this is to settle everything that has happened in between the two, correct?" Deidre asks while holding her fan to the side and looking at the others. "think about it, Count Bartfort and that man had been fighting ever since the Fanoss Forces invaded during our school field trip." She then slaps her fan to her other hand while closing it. "it wouldn't be such a surprise if they want to settle the score and end the hatred."

"even if it is to end the conflict, just fighting isn't going to solve it." Angelica said as she looks at Creare. "I saw the look in their eyes, those are the eyes of men ready to end the other's life."

"That may appear so to you, Miss Angelica. But that is incorrect." Creare replied after beeping a few times. "The main reason for their determination for this fight is only one thing and one thing only." The AI's drone pauses when the others made a loud gasp as the Freedom and the Hyperion clashed their beam sabers to the point that they began to burn the trees around them. "Redemption."

"Redemption?" Olivia muttered with a confused face. "what redemption?"

"The redemption for having their own existence conflicting the other." Creare said. "they wish to settle things because of their lives that had been altered with their fates that are intertwined. But In simple terms, it's a little fight between Siblings."

"fight between Siblings?" Angelica said before gasping. "wait! Are you saying that Kira and Canard Pars are!?"

"indeed." Creare replied after beeping once. "Master Kira and Master Canard are both siblings, half siblings to be precise."

"EeEEEHHH!?" Angelica and the others cried out in shock and bewilderment to the news.

As this news was broken out for everyone to know, Lacus is the only one who remains silent and just watched the battle between the two Coordinators.

"Kira…" Lacus whispers as she grasps her hands together and prays for her lover's safety.

In the calm night upon the Holfort Kingdom, there's nothing but silence as the moon radiates its glow upon the world. But that silence is short lived when a blue star and a green star appears flashing in the night sky before they come flying in to reveal themselves as the Freedom and the Super Hyperion; both mobile suits firing beam energies at one another while constantly clashing against one another in a high speed battle.

The Super Hyperion drew out one of its beam knives that it activated at full charge to turn it into a beam sword as the Freedom drew out its own beam sabers in the same sequence. Both mobile suits flew in and instantly clashed their physical beam weapons at one another and caused huge electrical sparks to fly around before dispersing when they flew back and then comes right back in to directly clash again.

"raaah!" Kira and Canard roared out as both Gundams flew in and clashed their beam sabers for the umpteenth time, this time their clash cause a lot of electrical spark to discharge everywhere. "aagghhh!"

Both mobile suits keeps on pushing one another before the Freedom quickly deployed its Xilphas Railgun which fired a quick charged shot that hits and made a big explosion upon the Super Hyperion's frame.

"agh!" Canard grunted from the shaking explosion as his Super Hyperion hovers back before it quickly deployed its beam shield to defend against another shot of the Freedom's railgun. "tch!"

Not wanting to be outwitted, the Super Hyperion quickly aimed and then fired rains of energy beams from its Zastava Stigmata Beam Submachine gun.

Kira quickly maneuvered the Freedom to dodge the rain of energy beams as the mobile suit defended against several shots while dodging many others.

"eat this!" Canard shouted as his Hyperion deployed its Forfanterie beam cannon and charged up some energy before firing two powerful energy blasts.

Kira grits his teeth as his Freedom deployed its Balaena Plasma beam cannon that counters the attack and caused a huge and very bright flashing explosion.

"guh!" Kira and Canard grunted as the two colliding beam attacks caused a shockwave to blow out.

The explosion settled after a few seconds and when it was gone, the Freedom and the Super Hyperion continued their battle by firing their beam weapons at full throttle.

"Canard!" "Kira!" Kira and Canard shouted each other's name as their Gundams flew in then drew out their beam sabers which clashed again.

Upon the hangar, everyone minus Lacus looks upon Creare who had just given a big news regarding Kira and Canard's connection.

"t-they're brothers!?" Angelica exclaimed in surprise. "really!?"

"half brothers to be precise." Creare replied before projecting a screen which shows two DNA blocks and two photos that are Kira and Canard. The two are side by side as the screen now shows everything about the two; from their height to their very blood type. "although both have different ages, I have found that they share a 98,224% paternal match."

"Which means?" Balcus asks confused as he along with many others are in the same state.

"paternal means father, then that means that Kira-san.." Olivia spoke out.

"and Canard…." Hetrauda added in.

"share the same father." Both spoke in unison as this made a big revelation for everyone.

"then that means they share the same father while having different mothers?" Clarice spoke before placing a hand to the side of her head. "man, that's such a bomb of a news!"

"indeed." Deidre nodded in agreement before spreading out her fan and holding it by her face. "though, it is quite ironic and poetic, isn't it?"

Everyone instantly looks at Deidre whose eyes stares at the main screen showing the fight between the Freedom and The Super Hyperion.

"Two individuals from one father yet different mothers are now locked in a battle. Brother against brother, blood against blood." Deidre stated before chuckling a bit. "quite the drama we have here."

Everyone understands her words as they had conflicted thinking.

"it's not poetic at all!" Angelica exclaimed. "how can something like this be dramatic and poetic!?"

"Angie is right!" Olivia spoke out while looking sad and worried. "They're brothers! Siblings shouldn't fight! We need to stop them and tell them that!"

"I'm afraid to inform you that both of them already know." Hachi and Luxion spoke out in unison as this made everyone surprised again. All looked at the two AIs' drones that continues to project the battle. "20 minutes before the battle had begun, we along with Creare had confronted Kira and Canard about their blood relation."

"They knew and they're still fighting!?" Angelica exclaimed. "just for what purpose are they even fighting for after knowing that their brothers!?"

"to settle their differences." Lacus stated as everyone looks at the princess whose eyes are glued in watching the battle of the two Gundams that are just flying everywhere while constantly clashing. "one was left with no purpose in life while the other was given a purpose of life that he does not fulfill. This is to settle their differences and put an end to the conflict of their lives." She grasps her hands together when she watched the Freedom getting rammed to the side of a floating island by the Super Hyperion. Both mobile suits struggled against one another before their thrusters ignited and they flew off. "it is all to end things."

"to end things?" Hertrude spoke out before remembering the prediction of the future that the elven elder had told her before. This made her face frown. "they're going to kill each other."

Hetrauda heard her sister's words as this made her tear up and look very fearful.

"please stop them! Please stop them from fighting!" Hetrauda cried out as she looks at Luxion. "stop Canard, Luxion! You told me that your purpose is to protect your master, right?! Canard is your master, so stop the fight and save him!"

"I'm afraid I cannot." Luxion replied. "for Master had given a strict order to not interfere in his battle no matter what." the AI then beeps a few times. "after the revelation was revealed for the two, Master and Kira Yamato had given me and Hachi a contingency for if either of them were killed in the battle."

"a contingency?" Clarice asks.

"Our orders were to serve and protect either Miss Lacus or Miss Hetrauda and Miss Hertrude if either of them died in the process of battle." Hachi stated. "we cannot stop them from fighting for we are following their strict and last order."

"but still!" Hetrauda cried out. "stop him from fighting! It doesn't have to be this way! He said that he promised that he'll be alright! This isn't alright at all!"

"she's right! If Kira dies in this battle, then!" Olivia cried as she was very worried more than ever.

"stop this battle, Hachi! Stop it now!" Angelica demanded. "stop Kira from throwing his life away!"

Their plea fell deaf as the two AIs won't do anything other than projecting the battle on the screen.

"I'm afraid that we cannot do that." "no matter what, we are ordered to not allow any interference be given upon their battle." Hachi and Luxion replied before the Buster and the Justice made an appearance as the two Gundams' eyes flashes green as they stood before everyone. "and that would mean using force to stop those who dare interfere."

"you two…are you serious!?" Angelica asks as everyone looks a bit fearful at the Justice and Buster.

"we are." Luxion and Hachi replied in unison. "we are very serious."

Everyone now went silence as they cannot give any more rebuttal about the reason for Kira and Canard's battle. Yet this is not said the same for Lacus who watches the battle with a steadfast determination in her eyes.

"Kira.." Lacus whispers as her eyes gaze upon the Freedom that flew up in the air before coming down with a diving kick that landed right upon the Super Hyperion's torso area, sending the foe Gundam falling down yet it quickly regained its flight and flew back straight for its rival.

Returning to the battle in the sky, the Freedom deployed all its weaponry and unleashes a full burst attack that went straight for the Super Hyperion that deployed its Armure Lumiere in all area. The attack collided with the beam shield and creates a temporary huge flash.

Kira winced his eyes a bit from the flash before he gasps when he saw the Super Hyperion came flying through with two beam swords readied at its side.

"Raaah!" Canard roared out as the Super Hyperion swings both beam swords up before slamming them down upon the Freedom that blocks the attack with its shield raised.

A power struggle ensues between the two mobile suits as the Super Hyperion's eyes flashes green with its beam sword's power increasing to the point that the Freedom's shield is slowly glowing hot red.

"damnit!" Kira grunted as a screen near him showed the Shield beeping red. With that, the Ultimate Coordinator ejected the shield that gets cut a part and then flies away.

"Where do you think you're going!?" Canard shouted as his Super Hyperion deployed its Forfanterie beam cannons and aimed at the Freedom before firing two quick charged shots that were dodged. The Gundam then drew out its beam Sub-machine Gun and started firing. "You're not going anywhere but to your grave!"

The Freedom zig zags and then did a swirl as it dodges all the energy beams while deflecting a few by drawing out its beam saber. The Gundam's wings then spreads out and unleashes gusts of blue air as it quickly hovers back before its thrusters ignited and propelled the mobile suit to fly straight for the Super Hyperion.

They returned to clash once again as the Freedom fired its beam rifle several times before swinging its beam saber up then brings it down to strike upon the Super Hyperion that defended by crossing both of its beam sabers up. The clash of the two beam weapons made discharge of electricity fly around before it dispersed when the two Gundams moved back but quickly come in for another clash.

"Raaaahhhh!" Kira and Canard roared at one another as their Gundams keeps on putting more power in their beam weapons and thrusters. The two mobile suits being dominant to one another in the power struggle that ceases when their weapons slides across from one another.

"aagghh!" Kira shouted as the Freedom quickly did a back kick spin that hits one of the Super Hyperion's beam sword that flew out of its grasp. The winged Gundam faces its foe before it quickly followed its previous attack by igniting its thrusters to perform a vertical back spin and landed an uppercut of a kick that hits the enemy mobile suit's torso area.

"guuh!" Canard grunted as sparks exploded in the Gundam's cockpit after receiving the attack. The pilot grits his teeth and growls angrily before pushing a control rod forward. "don't get cocky with me!"

The Super Hyperion swings its beam sword at the Freedom that caught the attack by grabbing hold of the gundam's arm before catching a thrown fist.

"eat this!" Canard shouted as the Super Hyperion proceeded to fire rains of bullets from its multi-barrel CIWS that made sparks fly around the Freedom's head.

"tch!" Kira felt the vibrations of the bullets hitting his Gundam's head, the Freedom withstanding the attack but one bullet managed to pierce, shatter, and damage its left eye sensor that now has electrical sparks flying around. This resulted in the cockpit's monitor showing static. "my main monitor!"

The Freedom keeps on struggling with the Super Hyperion but the latter mobile suit pulls back its right leg and delivers a strong kick that hits the winged Gundam's torso and sends it away.

"guuuh!" Kira felt the attack that shook his cockpit, the pilot regaining his Gundam's flight as he quickly changed the monitor's setting to allow better vision, but when he did, he gasps because the Super Hyperion came flying in and delivers a strong kick right at the Gundam's chest. "agghh!"

Receiving this attack caused the Freedom to fall from the sky and crashed upon a nearby floating island. The Gundam's crash created a long drag dirt mark on the land as the mobile suit lies upon the land before slowly getting back while the Super Hyperion lands a few feet away from it.

"how does it taste!?" Canard shouted as his voice echoes from his Gundam's speakers. "the taste of dirt right up your damn face!?"

Kira huffs his breathing a bit as he takes off his helmet and threw it behind, the young man's face looking a bit out of breath but there is still determination in his eyes.

"I can't win like this." Kira said as he sees how he's overworking the Freedom's motors and frame that had several areas just flickering red, indicating damages. He looks at the Super Hyperion that began to approach the winged mobile suit that came back up on its feet. "but I don't need to win…" he grips his controllers as a screen showed the activation of the Gundam's Hi-Mat Mode that made the right eye flash yellow while a red dot appears upon the broken right eye which is surrounded by electrical static. "I just need to fight!"

The Freedom spreads out its wings which unleashes a huge turbulence of blue air and red sparkles, the Gundam throwing away its beam rifle then drew out its beam sabers before flying straight for the Super Hyperion.

"That's more like it!" Canard shouted with a big grin as his Gundam ignited its thrusters before flying straight for the Freedom while unleashing rains of energy bullets from its Zastave Stigmate before drawing out one of its beam swords.

This battle ensues upon the land of a floating island as the Freedom swings its beam sabers around in deflecting all of the Super Hyperion's energy beams before both Gundams got close and began a close combat battle.

The Freedom swings one its beam sabers upwards to clash against the Super Hyperion's beam sword that was swung downwards, the two mobile suits clashed in power before they moved back and clashed again several times.

"raaah!" Kira roared as the Freedom deployed its railgun and then fired a close ranged shot directly at the Super Hyperion that defended with its beam shield that took the blow head on with an explosion, but unknown to the pilot, the blast of the Xilphas rail gun caused some of its beam shield emitters to have several electrical static that disappeared in a second after their appearance.

"tch!" Canard didn't allow the attack to faze him as he got the Super Hyperion to aim its Zastave Stigmata at the Freedom and was about to fire but the winged Gundam dashed in and slashes the weapon in half with a beam saber. "what!?"

Quickly ejecting the power cable to the Zastave Stigmate, the Super Hyperion shielded itself as one of its weapon instantly exploded upon itself.

"damnit!" Canard shouted as he saw the explosion's smoke blew away because the Freedom flew in with both beam sabers drawn. "why you little!"

The Super Hyperion drew out two beam swords and then clashes against the Freedom.

Upwards, downwards, vertical, horizontal, right, and left. The two Gundams' beam sabers just clashed back to back as both kept on clashing with no signs of stopping.

The Freedom swings a beam saber upward and this cuts off a piece of the Hyperion's V-Fin antenna. Yet the enemy Gundam retaliated by swinging down one of its beam swords that creates a burning and exploding slash mark on the winged Gundam's front right chest area.

This battle continues as each time one of the two Gundams' beam sabers landed a hit, a part of either mobile suits' bodies gets damaged in the process.

"raaaaahhh!" "aaaahhh!" Canard and Kira screams at the top of their lungs as their Gundams flew in and did another clash of their beam weapons that resulted in a huge electrical discharge.

This seemed to resulted in another power struggle, yet this one ended quite abruptly when both Gundams' beam sabers' handles glows red before instantly exploding as they were overworked and overheated.

"what!?" "damnit!" Kira and Canard grunted as both Gundams lost their beam sabers. This only hindered them for a second as both pilots got their mobile suits to fly back at one another and gets locked in another power struggle by having them throw fists at one another. "you!"

The Freedom and the Super Hyperion locked arms in a struggle as their thrusters ignited at full charge to the point that both slowly takes off into the air.

"haha! Not bad, kid! Not bad at all!" Canard shouted with a crazed grin as the Freedom and Super Hyperion keeps on spinning while they flew straight for the skies above. "You can keep up with me for this long, huh!? Only a handful of people can do that and you might be the best of them all! You might be really worthy to be called the Ultimate Coordinator after all!"

"I don't want to be called anything but my own name!" Kira shouted as the Freedom and Super Hyperion continued their power struggle to the point that thee Gundams' arms were making mechanical and electrical damaged noises. "I'm not the Ultimate Coordinator or anything! I'm just Kira!"

"says who!? Your name can be anything but there's a fact that cannot be changed! You're not a normal human! You're just a lab experiment born out of a test tube!" Canard shouted. "just like me and everyone else! You were the perfect creation from our dear old dad! So be proud for being alive while the rest of us got something that is a worse fate than death!"

"I never wanted to be something like this!" Kira shouted.

"neither did i!" Canard retorted.

The Freedom and Super Hyperion flew into the sky before both Gundams' thrusters swerved to the point that the two mobile suits flew around in a horizontal spin while trying to best the other in their power struggle.

"you could've chosen a path other than this! You were given a chance of freedom, didn't you!?" Kira shouted as the Freedom pushes its thrusters and got to ram then drag the Super Hyperion upon the bottom side of a floating island. "you could've be freed from this Curse! You could've become something else!"

"I could've become something else!? You really think you get to say that shit after everything that has happened to the kids at Mendel!?" Canard shouted back as the Super Hyperion proceeded to fire its CIWS at the Freedom that gets two shots hitting its broken eye sensor that exploded. This allowed the man's mobile suit to push back and pulled back its right arm to land a strong punch right upon the winged mobile suit's broken eye. This action was then repeated as the punches keep on coming straight to the damaged areas. "all of us never got to choose! The moment we entered the world, we were lab rats! All of us! You think you've got the rights to say such bullshit, you bastard!?"

"I do!" Kira shouted as the Freedom catches the thrown fist before the Gundam proceeded to head-butt the Super Hyperion back then deployed its Xilphas Rail Gun that fired a point black shot against the enemy mobile suit's frame that had smoke covering it. "we all got a choice! Even if it means death! We should defy the fate that others try to put us on! You could've lived with freedom! You can still choose!"

"just shut up!" Canard shouted, the Super Hyperion's eyes flashes yellow under the smoke as the Gundam reaches out a hand to grab hold of the Freedom's head then begins to put pressure to the point it was trying to crush it. "What do you mean we've got a choice?! We never get a choice! All of this! Is because we were made to do their bidding! The bidding of the people who created us!" the gundam reaches out the other hand to begin punching the winged mobile suit's damaged chest area that started to have more static from each strike. "The people who created us to be weapons of mass destruction! That's our choice! Our only choice!"

"that's wrong!" Kira shouted as the SEED instantly exploded within his mind and the Ultimate Coordinator goes into SEED mode. "people will always have choices! Everyone has choices! Your life is for you to decide! No one else!" the Freedom grabs and pries off the Super Hyperion's hands from itself, the two Gundams having more damages upon their frame but they still function. "I once nearly fell into despair after killing people but I was given a new choice! I was given a new choice to save lives instead of taking them! Only by forgiving yourself can you choose a new path for your life! Only by meeting someone who will love you can you truly live! Don't you have them in your life, Canard!?"

Canard's eyes widen for a moment as he saw a flashback of Hetrauda and that of a woman with glasses and maroon-ish short hair and wears an Earth Federation uniform.

This moment of hesitation led to Canard's downfall as Kira takes this chance for an onslaught of attacks.

The Freedom delivers five to six punches to the Super Hyperion's head, torso, and chest area before delivering a spinning kick that hits the enemy Gundam's side which sends it falling.

"damnit!" Canard grips the controls hard as the Super Hyperion's eyes flashes yellow and the Gundam's thrusters ignited a few times before going full throttle in getting the mobile suit to regain its balance. The robot then looks up to see the Freedom coming down while deploying its Balaena Plasma beam cannons. "you got me down on that for once, but you still got everything wrong!" the man activated and mounted out the Forfanterie cannons that were aimed at the incoming mobile suit. "I choose this life! I choose to fight! I choose how I am going to live!"

"Canard!" Kira shouted as the Freedom charges up all energy upon its Balaena Plasma beam cannons.

"Kira!" Canard roared as his own Gundam charged energy to its Forfanterie Beam Cannon.

Kira and Canard gritted their teeth before both pilots pulled the switch and their Gundams fired their attacks.

The two charged plasma and energy beams were fired and they flew straight for one another then upon contact created a bigger, brighter, and more destructive shockwave of an explosion.

"wha?!" "damnit!" Kira and Canard shielded their eyes from the attack that exploded to the point that it hits both of their mobile suits as well.

The Freedom and Super Hyperion's frame gets scorched by the explosion as their frame had cracks and pieces shatter while their respective PS units began to malfunction.

This scene was seen by everyone in the hangar as they all gasped when they saw the explosion.

"Kira!" "Canard!" Angelica and Hetrauda shouted out while everyone looks very worried.

In an instant, after the explosion died down; all saw two large shadows falling from the smoke as they crash landed upon an island a few thousand feet below. Both went for a big splash upon its lake where two geysers of water erupted.

"w-what just happened?" Clarice asks. "what the hell just happened!?"

"that explosion was too powerful and they were too close to it." Deidre said with a very serious look in her eyes. "I doubt their Armors could've withstood such levels of power."

As everyone waits, bubbles began to emerge from two spots of the lake before the water rises and reveals the Freedom and the Super Hyperion, both being in a completely battered state.

"the Freedom…" "the Hyperion.." Olivia and Hertrude whispers as both sees the two Gundams barely able to stand with all the damages upon their frames.

The two Gundams' had static dancing around their damaged frames, their colors are all black and grey as they got scorched from the explosion.

Kira and Canard huffs their breathes in their Gundam's cockpit which is ringing alert alarms into their ears while drips or leaks of water is entering and perhaps going to damage their systems if left be.

"hehe…hehehehe! Not bad, kid!" Canard said as his gundam slowly stood up straight, this cause it to have more damage static upon its damaged frame that barely failed it. The mobile suit draws out the last of its beam knife that it wields and activated to become a beam sword that evaporates the lake's water upon contact. "but not good enough! This battle is far from over!"

Kira huffs his breathing as he glanced to the side screen and sees how everything on his Gundam is just blinking red from all the damage that is causing an alert for him to deactivate and eject from it.

"you're right…" Kira said as he looks back at the Super Hyperion; the Freedom staggering as it slowly got into a battle stance with its bare fists. "this battle is far from over.." he held the control grips hard. "it's soon to be over!"

In an instant, Kira quickly flicked a switch to the side which causes the Freedom to eject its wings before the mobile suit ignites all thrusters to propel it straight for the Super Hyperion.

"ejecting some parts to get more speed, huh!?" Canard shouted as the Super Hyperion charges in and swings down its beam sword upon the Freedom.

This battle now ensues in the lake as the two Gundams started to fight once again.

The Freedom dodges the beam sword's slashes a few times before it jumps landed a knee strike to the Super Hyperion's head then did a spin kick that was blocked and countered by the enemy mobile suit.

"eat these!" Canard shouted as his Super Hyperion mounted its Forfanterie beam cannons that charges energy and was about to fire a shot but the cannons were malfunctioning to the point that they exploded on themselves. "tch! Damn piece of junk!" he flicked a switch that ejected the cannons from the Gundam's back but one of them was grabbed by the Freedom that uses it as a makeshift club to hit the mobile suit. "agghh!"

"raaahhh!" Kira roared, the Freedom swinging up the Forfanterie cannon and swung it down with full force at the Super Hyperion that swung up its beam sword that sliced the weapon in half. "wha!?"

"aaahhh!" Canard followed up his action by swinging the beam sword down and this attack hits and slices off the Freedom's entire left arm.

"damnit! Kira pushes a control rod forward as this deployed the Xilphas Railguns that fired a quick charged shot that hits the Super Hyperion's right arm and left waist area that exploded, yet having already being strained and is malfunctioning the two railguns instantly exploded upon the Freedom itself. "kuh!"

Now being covered in smoke, the Freedom and the Super Hyperion are in an incredibly bad state as both mobile suits are completely wrecked and barely able to stand.

"come on, Kira…you're stronger than him!" Angelica exclaimed while Olivia grasps her hands together, the girl feeling anxious and worried at how long the battle has been going.

"this battle is already…" Hertrude mumbled out while holding Hetrauda who is just anxiously watching Canard's Super Hyperion that has electrical static, smoke, and small explosions upon its very damaged frame.

"both sustained immense damage to their frames and their energy transfer conduits are nearly misplaced due to their long termed battle." Hachi spoke out after beeping a few times, the AI doing stats on the Freedom and the Super Hyperion's schematics and sees that their entire frame is just beeping red. "their weapons systems are offline due to the damages and their motor functions are nearly going to be destroyed due to the stress that they have been put on."

"without a doubt, they will end this battle in mere minutes." Luxion said.

Kira and Canard huffed their breathing as the alarms keeps on ringing into their ears, their Gundams were on the breaking point of self destructing themselves from the damage yet the two pilots keeps on pushing them further.

"looks like….this is the end, ain't it?" Canard said before chuckling with a smirk. "the very grand finale itself has come for the both of us!"

"one more move. One more attack to decide things…" Kira said as he huffs his breathes before gripping his controls very hard. "once and for all."

Now there is a tense silence in the atmosphere as the two Gundams stared at one another before they slowly shifted and began to walk and close in on one another.

The spectators could only watch in tense silent as the two Gundams walked to one another before they picked up their pace and began to run.

"This is!" Kira and Canard shouted as their Gundams keep on running before they pulled back their right fists that were launched straight at each other's cockpit area. "THE END!"

In that split of a second, the two Gundams launched their final attack to one another and in that one second of a moment; the Super Hyperion's systems suddenly deactivated themselves.

CRASH!

"Kira/-san/-kun!" "CANARD!" everyone shouted out as they all gawked in amazement and shock to what they are seeing.

Loud electrical noises are heard as the Freedom's right hand is found damaged while piercing through the Super Hyperion's chest area, the mobile suit also holding the N-Jammer Canceller that was inside of it. The nuclear powered reactor had been deactivated and disarmed as it didn't explode once ripped out.

This scene slowly zooms out to reveal that the Freedom is the only one whose attack had reached its target while the Super Hyperion remains lifeless as its entire system had been shut down.

Kira and Canard lies within their cockpit, motionless as both were huffing their breathing to the point that they were literally depriving themselves of any oxygen in their surroundings.

"you always have a chance to choose your way of life, Canard." Kira spoke out as his voice is heard in a small static in the Super Hyperion's comms that somehow remains active. "I choose a new path thanks to Lacus who was there to save me in my desperate moment. You can choose a new path for yourself in the future as you have someone who can help you, right?"

Canard didn't reply as he just huffs his breathing, but his mind thought about Hetrauda who was currently in tears seeing the scene before her.

"it'll take time, but I know that you can choose a new path for yourself. I'll also help you find your new path too." Kira said before smiling, the Ultimate Coordinator not knowing that both the Freedom and Super Hyperion had a trail of water running down their eyes. "I'm your little brother after all, Nii-san."

Hearing his words, Canard could only chuckle and smile a bit.

"Hearing those words from you….it makes me so damn uncomfortable." Canard spoke out while the Gundams slowly fell to their knees and leans close as they couldn't stand anymore and just lies in their position in their deactivated state.

As this scene unfolded in Canard's defeat, all the spectators could only take a deep breath as that one moment of suspense had them holding their breath.

"this means…it's over, right" Daniel asks.

"I think so?" Raymond replied.

"It's finally over for their fight, huh?" Balcus said as he smiles to Luce who he held close, the woman having tears of relief as she was glad that Kira ended the fight without losing his life.

"Kira-niichan won! He won!" Colin cried out as he shakes his big brother's arm. "he won, right?! He won, right!?"

"yeah, he won." Nicks nodded while in the background Jenna cheered for Kira's victory and Finley just looks ignorant of it. "he won."

"I swear, that guy just had to do things that could make someone's heart stop." Clarice said with a hand to her chest. "that last moment sure had my heart stopped."

"While mine was beating in anticipation." Deidre said with a blush. "to have such a moment of rush~! It's exhilarating!"

"it's finally over." Angelica said with a sighing smile before she turns to Olivia who was in tears of relief. She held her friend close. "it's finally over, Livia."

Olivia nodded as she wiped away her tears, the girl glad that the fight was over.

"Canard…" Hetrauda watches the scene from the screen, the girl having her hand held by her sister who she sees is smiling and nodding to her.

"even if he didn't win, he's still alive, Rauda." Hertrude told her sister who nodded with a smile, being happy with the result. "that's what is important."

"Lacus! Wait!" Mylene suddenly cried out as everyone turns to see the queen trying to stop Lacus who had quickly climbed into the Justice's cockpit. The Gundam's eyes flashes green before it began to move out of the hangar and then flew off into the air. "Lacus!"

"where is she going?" Olivia asks while Angelica looks around and sees that Creare was the only one there with them.

"Hachi and that other AI isn't here!" Angelica exclaimed as she looks out the hangar and sees the Justice flying straight to where the battle between the two Ultimate Coordinators is held at. "They're going with Princess Lacus to where Kira is!"

The Justice flew in the air as the Gundam went and hovers by the floating island where the Freedom and Super Hyperion remains in the lake. Lacus who was inside the cockpit looks worried as she presses a few buttons and the main screen zooms at several spots.

"Kira…" Lacus tries to find Kira as she believed that he exited his Gundam's cockpit.

"I have found him, Miss Lacus." Hachi spoke on the comms as the AI sends data that created a zoomed image screen which shows Kira's location to the princess.

"Kira" Lacus sighs and then smiles in relief as she sees that Kira is out of his Gundam and is currently helping Canard by lending his shoulder. The two had exited their mobile suit and are now by the lake's shorelines.

"Descending the Justice." Hachi said as the AI takes control and began the mobile suit's descent to the floating island.

Kira slowly places Canard down as the two then sat on the grass before turning to look at their Gundams that remains in the lake.

"looks like Luxion and your AI are going to be busy fixing them up once they get us." Canard said as he takes off his helmet and threw it to the side. "that piece of tech gets so prideful about how tech like the Gundams should be cared for."

"Hachi is the same." Kira said after chuckling. "he keeps telling me to be careful and I try to be careful as much as I can."

"hmph, looks like we got the same troublesome AIs as our partners." Canard huffs a bit before he lies down on the grass and looks into the night sky then made a sound when he spotted the Justice descending. "speaking of partners. Looks like yours is here."

Kira looks up and smiles as he sees the Justice descending and landing on the grass a few feet away from them. The mobile suit's cockpit opens as Lacus comes out.

"Kira!" Lacus cried out as she went and uses the lift cable to descend down the mobile suit before springing straight for her beloved man. "Kira!"

Kira smiles and spreads out his Arms to catch and hugs Lacus who lunged at him. The young man nearly falling onto his back but he stayed strong and just held his beloved diva close.

"I'm alright, Lacus. I'm alright." Kira said as he and Lacus stared at each other with happy smiles. "I promised you that I'll be alright, didn't i?"

Lacus nods before hugging Kira again, the young man returned it as he held his princess closer in the warm embrace.

Canard sees the scene and just smiles a little before he slowly picks himself up while groaning a bit but he managed to get back up on his feet with a hand holding the right side of his waist.

"I'll leave you two be here." Canard said before he turns and begins to walk away. "my partner will be here soon."

As Canard walks away, Kira calls out to him and made the man turn to look at the young man who gets up on his feet with Lacus.

"I know what you plan to do now." Kira said. "I won't stop you, but I want to let you know that it'd be nice for you to meet our sister; Cagalli one day."

Canard looks at Kira for a moment before he scoffed a bit and turns to look forward.

"yeah, one day." Canard said as he begins walking away while waving a hand up to the side. "till that day comes, tell her that I said hello for me."

Kira nodded with a smile as he and Lacus watches Canard leave the area and heads straight for a large legless robot that came flying into the scene, the giant machine being controlled by Luxion who came to pick him up.

"it appears that you are now designated as the failure of an experiment, Master." Luxion said as the large robot reaches out a hand or claw for Canard to get onto. "would you like to prepare the Hyperion for another duel in the future?"

"nah, I'm good." Canard said as he sits on the claw which gets lifted to the robot's chest area. "I don't care about being a failure or anything, I just care about being alive and that's all there is to it."

"I see." Luxion replied before the legless robot began to hover up and flies away from the floating island.

As Luxion brings Canard away, the man having a solemn expression on his face before he slowly closed his eyes and tilts his head up.

"hey, Luxion. Mind answering a question of mine?" Canard asks his AI companion.

"what is it?" Luxion asks.

"in that last second, in that very last second before we could finish each other off, the Hyperion's systems suddenly deactivated itself. Not only that, the N-Jammer Canceler didn't blow up once it got ripped out…." Canard spoke out as he opened his eyes and had a smile. "you rigged everything up, didn't you? From the very start, you never intended to upgrade the Hyperion for battle, but for protecting, right?"

Luxion was silent for a moment as the AI made a beeping noise.

"as an AI created by the Old Humans, I have the duties to assist, support, and protect my Master." Luxion spoke out before beeping a few times. "Master was prepared to die, but I was not prepared to have Master die, therefore I set a program to deactivate the Hyperion and rigged a failsafe to disable the N-Jammer Canceller in order to save you."

Hearing the reply, Canard huffs a bit while tilting his head down.

"I knew it." Canard said as he sighs a bit then smiles. "Thanks for protecting me, Luxion. I owe you one."

"You're welcome, Master." Luxion replied with a few beeps before the AI focuses on getting Canard some medical attention upon the Ortygia that is flying straight for them.
