Author's Note - Here is the final chapter.
It took me a while to write this as it was a bit of a weird chapter.
Hope you enjoy.
The previews for the Abydos special episode showed no footage from the new episode, by the insistence of Daniel, it only showed his final speech from the previous one to build suspense and Maddie was watching the forums explode with excitement.
Everyone knew that Daniel wanted to go through the Stargate, anytime he was on a talk show to promote the show he mentioned it. So, the fact he had finally been allowed to, had caused a lot of anticipation to see what had happened.
Due to the nature of the shows and the fact they knew it would be impossible to keep the contents under wraps, literally the day General Hammond had signed off on the show it was confirmed in the schedule for the start of the next month. They were waiting for confirmation that Sha're would be able to do the lecture tour, considering she was not native to Earth, and that additional security might be needed.

Daniel had returned to Colorado so that he could watch the second show with the O'Neill family and Sha're, Charlie was especially excited Daniel was visiting again and had been standing watching out the window all day waiting for him to arrive.
"Okay," Jack called, getting the attention of the group out in the back garden where they'd been sitting after dinner, "Show starts in five minutes. Get in here and get comfy."
Charlie came running into the living room and threw himself into his beanbag, excited to see the show while Sara, Sha're and Daniel walked in at a more leisurely pace.
Jack caught his wife around the waist and pressed a quick kiss to her cheek as he moved her to the couch at the right, ensuring that Daniel and Sha're sat together. He knew they didn't mind, but until they told people they were a couple, Jack and Sara were letting them pretend that no one knew. For now, anyway.
Jack organised drinks as Charlie turned the TV to the right channel, frowning at the adults who were still talking.
"Quiet," he told them annoyed, "It's starting soon."
"We're sorry," Daniel smiled slightly, "We'll be good."
Charlie nodded, turning back to the television as the show began. Although Jack had already seen the show, he rewatched enjoying Charlie's reactions to everything. Jack could tell that he was especially loving seeing Sha're on the show. Charle adored Sha're, she became like an older sister to him while she recovered and had been devastated when she'd returned home.
Glancing over to where Sha're and Daniel were sitting, he could see they were unthinkingly cuddling together as the show progressed. He shared an amused smile with Sara as they watched Sha're rest her head against Daniel's shoulder while he wrapped his arm around her.
When the show finished and Jack turned the light back on, he chuckled to himself seeing them quickly move away from one another.
"What did you think, Charlie?" Daniel asked, moving the focus of the room to Jack and Sara's son.
"That was amazing," Charlie told him, "Sha're was so good explaining everything."
"Yes, she was," Daniel agreed, smiling at Sha're who blushed while biting her lower lip shyly.
Jack rolled his eyes, wincing when Sara smacked his arm.
"And it's your bedtime," Sara told her son, "Say goodnight to Daniel and Sha're."
Charlie sighed but moved to hug Sha're goodnight before he turned to Daniel.
"Night, Dr Jackson."
"Goodnight, Charlie," Daniel said smiling before he added, "And since we're friends now, I think you should call me Daniel."
Charlie grinned and threw his arms around Daniel, "Goodnight, Daniel."
Jack chuckled and caught his son in his arms for a hug before passing him to Sara.
"I should probably head back to the hotel," Daniel told them, "I'll see you tomorrow for the meeting."
Jack nodded.
"I will walk you to the door," Sha're said softly, and Jack took the hint leaving them alone to help Sara put Charlie to bed.

Daniel sighed as he stood with Sha're in the doorway of Jack and Sara's house. It wasn't easy pretending that he wasn't hopelessly in love with her but right now, Sha're didn't want anyone else to know they were together – other than Maddie. Being with him was her choice but on Abydos everyone knew everything and right now she wanted to keep their relationship just to them.
"I'll see you tomorrow," he whispered to her, brushing his lips to hers before sighing, "Wish I didn't have to leave. I've missed you for the past few weeks."
Sha're rested her head against his, "I missed you too," she sighed, "I…"
"Hey," Daniel held her close, "I understand why you don't want to tell anyone yet."
Sha're kissed him properly, they broke apart and Daniel winced to find Sara and Jack standing there.
"This…" Daniel started, not sure what to say.
"We'll see you both at the base tomorrow," Sara said, handing Sha're an overnight bag. At their stunned faces she laughed, shaking her head at her husband who was watching them amused, "You're not quite as subtle as you think when you're together. Not sure why you're trying to hide this but it's your choice. Just go and be together."
Sha're hugged Sara then Jack quickly before taking Daniel's hand who led her out to his car.
Daniel paced as he checked his notes once more before he looked out at the crowd. The hall was packed as the lecture had sold out almost instantly the day after the second show. Sha're was sitting watching him, having already worked out that interrupting him would be counterproductive. Maddie was doing final checks on the equipment for the lecture and the Q&A afterwards.
Daniel finally took the seat beside Sha're, who slipped her hand into his.
"You are nervous," she said confused.
Daniel nodded, "A little."
"But you do this all the time," she reminded him, "Why are you nervous?"
He shrugged, "I always get slight flashbacks to the lecture I gave where my theories were ridiculed, even though I know I'm right."
"You will be amazing," she whispered, "I know this."
"So will you," Daniel reminded her, "But if you're worried while on stage at all just talk to me."
Sha're nodded before leaning in to kiss him.

The applause was thunderous as Daniel stepped out onto the stage. He had done this multiple times since his disastrous lecture when he'd first presented his theories, but the shadow of what had happened that day still meant he got nervous.
"Thank you everyone for coming," Daniel said as the applause died down, "It's so good of you all to come out to hear me talk. Don't worry I will not be droning on for the full time. We have some clips that we couldn't get into the shows, but we wanted people to see, and I have a few special guests as well for you." He paused and smiled, "So, let's get started with a few clips that we didn't put in the show and that make me look like a bit of an idiot."
The lights dimmed and clips of Daniel sliding down the sand, tripping over his words and starting to laugh unable to stop.
The lights came back up and Daniel shook his head, before laughing, "Let's get on with what I came here to talk about and that is my visit to the SGC."
Daniel went through his talk, getting laughs at the right time. Finally, he reached the section on Abydos.
"Before we go any further," Daniel stated, "I have a very special guest to help me discuss my time on Abydos. She was my guide for the week and not only kept me on topic when my assistant Maddie wasn't there to stop me going off on a tangent. She also showed me the city of Nagada and parts of Abydos not connected to the Stargate. Please welcome, Sha're."
Sha're walked out a little nervously to the cheers, relaxing when Daniel took her hand to lead her to the chair set out for her. The audience reaction was exactly what he knew it would be.
Daniel squeezed her hand comfortingly before taking his seat again and started the conversation on what they'd seen on Abydos, Sha're was hesitant at first but soon relaxed and made everyone laugh with her observations.
When they came to the question-and-answer section, there were a few things she had to ask him to explain to her, but to Daniel's relief it went smoothly. Even with the marriage proposals she received from more than one audience member.
Leaving the stage, Daniel turned to Sha're, "How do you feel?"
"It was fun," she told him, "And it feels strange that we will have the same conversation multiple times, but I am looking forward to doing it again."
Daniel hugged her, "Good because I'm looking forward to spending every day with you."
He has told us about ancient civilizations and what has been found through the Stargate for the past five years on his popular documentaries. With millions of fans around the country, his lecture tours are always sold out and he receives multiple marriage proposals each month.
Today the show's official website has announced that Dr Daniel Jackson has married Sha're of Abydos.
The official announcement stated that the wedding was small, attended by a few friends of the groom, members of the SGC who both are close to and the family of the bride.
The couple met when Dr Jackson travelled to Abydos for a special episode of his popular documentary series, and from what could be seen on the show, as well as the lecture tour she joined him for afterwards, they had instant chemistry.
The happy couple will be spending the next month on Sha're's homeworld celebrating with her family before they return to Earth.
Daniel sat in the small office he'd been given to use in the SGC while Sha're sorted everything she needed to do before they headed to Abydos for their honeymoon. He'd meant to wait until after the tour, but they were in New York and, after the lecture on the second night in the city, Daniel took her to the top of the Empire State Building so she could see what all the fuss was about.
While they stood looking at the stars, his proposal slipped out and, to his amazement, Sha're said yes instantly.
Three weeks after they finished the tour, to give some time to organise everything, they were married.
Daniel was now trying to work out what he should do. He knew that Hammond would give him a job within the SGC if he asked, but he did still enjoy doing his show which took him all over the country.
He had a full month to decide where his future lay, other than with his new wife.

"Hey," Maddie appeared in the office, "Please tell me you're not working."
"Just sending a few emails before we leave," Daniel told her, "Sha're is making sure she has everything for our trip."
Maddie grinned, "I'm so happy for you and Sha're. While you're away I am going to be here keeping things afloat."
"Here as in on Earth," Daniel asked curiously, "Or here in the SGC?"
Maddie shrugged, "The SGC for the moment."
"Just make sure I don't have to fight too hard to get you away from here once I get home," Daniel told her.
Rolling her eyes, Maddie closed his laptop, "If you don't get out of here, you won't have that issue, but you also won't have a wife." She laughed, "You're expected in the Gateroom."
Turning to her, Daniel said, "Thank you for everything. I'm not sure what's going to happen…"
"If we continue with the show, I will be there," Maddie smiled, "But if you decide to move on, I will take General Hammond's offer to work here."
Daniel hugged her.
"Now get out of here," Maddie motioned him out the door, "Enjoy your honeymoon."
Heading to the Gateroom, Daniel found his bag sitting at the door waiting for him as Sha're stood with Jack and Sara, they'd made their goodbyes to Charlie the day before since he had school today.
Jack moved to Daniel's side and offered his hand, "Have a good honeymoon, Dr Jackson. Make sure you keep making Sha're smile."
"I promise, Colonel," Daniel shook his hand, "We'll see you in a month."
As the Stargate began to dial, Daniel moved to Sha're's side accepting a quick hug from Sara before taking his new wife's hand as the Gate opened.
"Confirmation from Abydos," the technician told them, "You have a go."
Hand in hand, the couple walked up the ramp and through the Stargate ready for their future together.
