Hey everybody, I'm back! Yeah, so I left you all on that little cliffhanger last time. I'm sure that there are questions as to where Subject X went. Well, based off the name of this chapter, I think it's time to see what she has been up to. This whole chapter is gonna be told from Subject X's point of view. However, there will be one scene that isn't from her perspective.
Also, you may have noticed in the last chapter, Subject X would occasionally say "Commit it to memory." There was even a point when she almost said "Got it memorized" before she corrected herself. This saying comes from the English version of Kingdom Hearts Chain of Memories, the original one for the Game Boy Advance. In that version, Axel's catchphrase was originally translated to "Commit it to memory" in the English version. This was later retconned to the more accurate translation "Got it memorized?" in Kingdom Hearts 2.
Since Subject X doesn't want to risk Luxu/Braig/Xigbar finding out that she knows them, she will often say "Commit it to memory" when she is remembering something or when she says she remembers instead of Axel/Lea's catchphrase. As we know, "Got it memorized" is Axel/Lea's signature catchphrase. So if Luxu heard her say it, then he will know that she knows them.
Possible OOC moments, just a precaution. With that out of the way, enjoy everyone.

Chapter 3: The Destiny Islands
(Betwixt and Between)
(X's P.O.V)
As soon as I stepped through that portal, it suddenly closed on me. Not wanting to just stand around, I decide to keep walking through this strange space. Suddenly, I see a light up ahead.
"I hope that light will lead me to an exit." I thought to myself. I run towards the light, hoping it will lead me somewhere. When I got close enough, the light shined much brighter, blinding me.
(Destiny Islands, Main Island: Ocean Road)
As soon as the light died down, I was able to get a better look at where I ended up. I'm on a long clay path along the hills that leads into a town. Not only that, but there are lots of flowers with different colors and I see a brown wooden sign. As I take a closer look, I see that the sign says "Ocean Road". I guess that's the name of this path I'm on.
"But, isn't this more like a path than a road? But then again, I don't know how things are in this world. I guess I should just keep it to myself. Not like I'm saying any of this to anyone."
I look up and I can see how beautiful the view is from here. I have a perfect view of the town, the beach and the ocean. If there's one word I could use to describe this world, it would be, peaceful.
"But now that leads the question, which world am I in? I guess I can ask the residents here. But I should probably make sure not to bring up that I came here from another world." I stop talking when I realize that I am saying all of this out loud to myself, again. "Why am I even saying this out loud? I'm not even talking to anyone!" After I stop having one of my one-sided conversations, I start walking along the path that leads to the town. I can see all of the people walking and talking to each other. There are families heading inside their homes. Some people are working at their shops and stores.
"This world feels so peaceful. Yet, I can sense a feeling of adventure here. Why did that portal bring me here?" I think to myself.
I continue walking down the road and I guess I walked into the neighborhood here. It looks like they are with their families. However, it looks like something is going on at one of the houses. Even though I shouldn't intrude, I can't help but be curious about what's going on. I decide to see what's going on.
As I got closer, I notice there are two people standing outside of the house. Based on how they look, they appear to be teenagers. One is a girl with short red hair and is wearing a pink and black hoodie dress and black boots. The other one, is a guy with short, spikey silver hair, a black sleeveless jacket, blue pants and black boots. It appears they are talking to someone who lives here. At the door, I see a woman with braided brown hair and wearing a red shirt with black leggings and red sandals. Upon closer inspection, I see she is sad but is trying not to show it. She then closes the door.
"What's going on? Why is that lady sad? Were these two giving her some bad news? I know it's none of my business and I'm not suppose to get involved with the affairs of other worlds, but I'm just too curious. I'll just ask if everything is alright? Keep it simple." I thought to myself.
"Hey, are you okay?" I suddenly heard a feminine voice. When I looked up, I saw the two teens were looking at me. I guess it came from the girl. "I guess I was too deep in thought again. I didn't even notice that they turned around."
"Oh, sorry if I was intruding on something." I tell them as I bowed. "I noticed what was going on and got worried. So I was wondering if I should ask if anything was wrong. I'm sorry if I was being nosy."
They both looked at each other before they looked back at me. What I hear them ask me next shocked me. "You came here from another world, did you?" The boy asks me.
"How did they figure it out? There's no way I was that obvious, was I?" "What makes you think that?" I ask them.
"Not a lot of people come here to sight see. Also, we don't get a lot of people moving here from another town." The boy told me.
"But still, what makes you think that I came here from another world?" I reply back. However, I did notice that I stuttered a bit. "Nice recovery." I sarcastically told myself.
They both let out a little laugh. Then the girl spoke up. "You don't need to hide it. We've traveled to other worlds. In fact, I actually came from another world. So we can tell if someone is from around here or not."
"They've been to other worlds? That's amazing! I wonder what they've seen? Ugh, what am I thinking? I can't get distracted, I need to focus on the subject at hand!" I converse with myself.
"I guess there's no use in hiding it." I tell them.
"Nope." They both said at the same time. "Although, it may be best not telling everyone else here. I'm Kairi." The girl named Kairi told me.
"I'm Riku." The boy next to her introduced himself.
Since they introduced themselves to me, I figured it would only be polite to introduce myself. "It's nice to meet you, Kairi, Riku. My name is X."
"So, what brought you to the Destiny Islands?" Riku asks me.
"The Destiny Islands? So that's the name of this world." I tell myself out loud. "To be honest, I'm not sure. I was just taking a walk when this portal suddenly opened up and pulled me in. Next thing I knew, I ended up here."
"So you didn't create a portal to bring you here? Or use a ship to travel?" Riku asks me. I shook my head no.
"Do you need any help with getting back to your world?" Kairi asks me. I think about it for a bit, wondering if I should accept their help. However, I know that Luxu will notice that I'm missing and that he can create portals to other worlds. That means he can find me no problem. So it may be best if I stay in this world so he doesn't have to go on a wild goose chase to find me.
"I think I'm good. They'll notice that I'm missing and will come find me. Since I'm here, I thought I take a look around. Which led me to seeing who both talking to that lady. Which led to right now." I tell them.
"Why am I going into all of these details when they just asked me if I need help returning to my world? I need to learn to stop rambling around strangers." I think to myself.
"Maybe we should tell her. She doesn't look like a threat and we could use some help." I hear Kairi tell Riku.
"Your right. It's a good idea to have some extra help. Right now, we need all the help we can get." Riku tells Kairi.
"'All the help they can get.' What do they mean?" I think to myself.
"You see, a friend of ours has disappeared. We don't know where he is and we're trying to find him. His name is Sora. Kairi and I, and our friends are going to be looking for him. What you saw was us telling his mom that we will be looking for him and we will bring him back." Riku explains the situation to me.
There friend disappeared? Vanished? Faded? Dimmed out of this world? No wonder she looked so sad. She must be scared and worried. All of them must be scared and worried about their friend. I know where their coming from.
"I'm so sorry about what happened. I want to help. Can you tell me what he looks like? If I know what he looks like, then it will be easier for me to find him." I tell them.
After I said that, they look at each other before they nod their heads in agreement. It seems like they had an agreement. They both look at me with sincere smiles.
"Sora has brown spiky hair and blue eyes. He also carries around a gold and silver keyblade. Not that hard to miss." Riku tells me.
"You can tell it's Sora once you meet him. He's always been able to connect to people." Kairi tells me.
"She has this look of longing. I guess she has a crush on this Sora guy." I thought to myself. "Got it. I'll be sure to keep an eye out for Sora for you."
"Thanks for offering to help." Riku tells me.
"So, what's the plan to find him?" I ask them.
"Our friends and allies are helping us too. They are looking in other worlds to see if he's there or for any clues on his whereabouts." Riku explains what everyone else is doing to find Sora.
"We're about to head to Radiant Garden. Since Ansem the Wise and the other researchers are back, we figured they could help. So, I thought they could find a clue in my memories." Kairi tells me. However, once I heard her mention the researchers back at Radiant Garden, my mind went blank and all I could think about was my time as their test subject.
I remember Xehanort would have a device put on my head that was connected to a screen and some tubes go into my arms. It was always painful. It felt like my insides were burning. My head would feel like it was being split open while trying to search my memories. But all of the results ended the same. No results and me in pain.
"I can't let Kairi go through what I did." I think to myself.
"Hang on. Um, Kairi, are you sure you can trust them? I mean, who knows what these guys can do to you." I tell her.
"We know. They already told us how the process will work." Kairi told me. She sounds sure, but I don't believe it.
"Are you sure? For all we know, it could be dangerous. I mean, what if they are just saying it's safe and once it starts, you'll get injured or left in a coma." I tell her.
"I know that I'm probably scaring her like this, but I don't want her to have to go through something similar to what I and others have went through." I think to myself.
"You don't need to worry about that." I hear Riku tell me. "How can he be so sure?!"
"We've already met them before. They want to do this to help us find him. To them, helping us find Sora is another way for them to atone for what they have done." Riku tells me.
"I want to argue against that, I really do. But I'm not ready to talk about what I went through. Plus, it has been over a decade since I last saw those 'scientists'." I think to myself.
I know that I probably can't change their minds. But I should probably see if she is actually okay with going through this. "Kairi, are you sure you want to do this?" I ask her instead.
"Yes, I do. If there's a chance that looking through my memories might help us find him, then I'm willing to do it." Kairi tells me, sounding confident. "I'll do whatever I can to bring him back."
Hearing Kairi say that made me think of myself. How I'm worried about my friends and that I want to see them again. How the two boys I met might be wondering where I am and what happened to me. In that moment, I knew that I wouldn't be able to change her mind.
"We'll, if your sure, then I hope it goes well. Just, be careful, okay?" I tell Kairi. I then look at Riku. "Riku, make sure nothing bad happens to her. I don't want anyone to go through anything too dangerous." I tell Riku.
"Don't worry. They aren't going to bring her any harm. But if your worried, I'll be sure that nothing bad will happen to Kairi." Riku tells me. Hearing that has reassured me a bit.
"Good. Then I guess I can relax." I say out loud.
"We do have some time before we have to go. Would you like us to show you around?" Kairi asks me.
At first, I was going to turn her down. But now that I think about it, this is the first time in over a decade that I have been to another world. It might be a good idea to have someone show me around and get some answers to what has been happening.
"Yes, thank you. It would be nice to have someone to talk to." I answer.
(Destiny Islands, Main Island: Shore)
I admit, I wasn't fully sure about having them give me a tour of their home world. But now, I'm glad that I accepted. Kairi and Riku have been showing me their home as we continue to walk down the path. I would ask them questions and they would actually give me an answer. They would let me take the time to enjoy the sights. Honestly, it felt nice. It's been so long since I last interacted with anyone like this.
We kept walking until we reached a beach that has palm trees growing and a dock. Across the beach, I was able to see an island. If there was one thing I could say about this view, it's that it looks beautiful. I look at the palm tree and I noticed that there are yellow star shaped fruit growing on them.
"Hey Kairi, what kind of fruit is that?"
"Oh. That is called a paopu fruit. There is actually a legend surrounding it. Legend says that if two people share one, then they will remain a part of each other's lives forever." Kairi tells me. However, I noticed that her voice sounded a bit sad.
"Something must be on her mind. Should I ask her what's on her mind? Probably not, she might not want to talk about it. Maybe I should talk to her about something else. I know, I can ask her a bit more about the fruit." I think to myself.
"I read about a fruit with that legend. I didn't know that it was called a paopu fruit, or where it came from." I told her.
"People will also make wayfinders based off the paopu fruit." Kairi tells me.
"A wayfinder? What's a wayfinder?" I ask her.
"Wayfinders are star shaped charms that provides luck to travelers. There normally made from Thalassa shells and you can put a little token in the center." Kairi explains to me.
"It's so strange. I'm normally not this talkative with others. The only time I was when I saw Lea and Isa. But, it's nice to be able to talk like this." I thought to myself.
"What's that island over there?" I ask the both of them.
"That's the play island. It's an island that we go to to play, explore and hang out. All of the kids here, including us, will go over there." Riku tells me.
An island they can go to so they can play and just be kids. Honestly, that sounds really nice.
"Is it okay if I can check it out?" I ask them.
"It's okay with us. However, your going to need a boat to get there. Plus, Kairi and I will have to go soon." Riku tells me this, before asking me a question. "Do you know how to row or sail a boat?" Riku asks me.
Upon asking that, I realized that I have no idea how to use a boat.
How is it that I have been living in a world surrounded by water, and yet I never learned how to use a boat? I'm gonna need to fix that.
"Hey Riku, Kairi, what are you doing?"
We hear a voice and I look in the direction the voice came from. I see three people that are about the same age as Kairi and Riku. Two boys and one girl. It looks like they are wearing a school uniform.
"Tidus, Selphie, Wakka. It's good to see you three." Kairi tells them.
"You two. So are you guys gonna go over to the island?" Selphie asks them.
"Sorry, but we don't have any time for that." Riku tells them.
"Ah, man. Here I thought this would be my chance to beat you in a fight. Wait, who's with you?" The blond hair boy asks them.
"She's a traveler who got lost. She came here with others to see what the Destiny Islands are like, but got separated from everyone else." Kairi tells them.
"I guess it's better than saying I'm from another world."
"Hey, you okay? Need any help?" The taller boy asks me.
"Oh, um, I'm good. I think I remember them saying something about finding a place to meet up if I get lost. Some place that everyone knows. That island should be a good spot." I tell them while pointing at the island across the ocean.
"Okay, lying may not be the best choice. But I really want to see that island!"
The girl with brown hair walks closer to us. "How about you come with us? My name's Selphie. These two are my friends, Tidus and Wakka."
I look at her, both curious and nervous. But, I feel like she means no harm. Plus, Riku and Kairi need to leave soon.
"Sure, that would be great. I'm X and thank you." I answer Selphie. "I hope you don't mind, Kairi, Riku?"
"Don't worry. Besides, Riku and I have to get ready to go." Kairi tells me.
"Tidus, Selphie and Wakka are people you can trust. Although, two of them can be a bit competitive." Riku tells me, most likely teasing them.
"Oh, come on. Wakka and I aren't as bad as you and Sora." The boy named Tidus argues back.
"Make sure nothing bad happens to X. She's unfamiliar with the Destiny Islands. X, when the people looking for you have arrived, be sure to tell them so they won't get worried." Riku tells the both of us.
"You sound like a grown up, Riku. A bit ironic since X here seems to be older than all of us." Wakka tells Riku.
Hearing this, I can't help but release a giggle. Well, I am twenty six years old. To be fair, I haven't interacted with a lot of people. Even with those at Scala, I can barely hold a conversation with them.
"We'll take care of her, you can count on us." Selphie tells Riku.
"Well, I guess we better be on our way." Kairi tells them.
"Be safe X. Whatever you do, do NOT touch the door hidden in The Secret Place." Riku tells me.
"I don't know what the Secret Place is, but he seems serious about it. I'll just agree and be careful." "Okay, but, I don't know where the Secret Place is." I tell Riku.
"Leave it to me. I'll help you know where everything is." Tidus tells me.
"Alright. Then I'll leave her in your guys care. Kairi and I need to go." Riku tells them.
"I see your gonna go on another adventure. Hope you guys won't be gone for too long." Selphie tells them.
"Sorry Selphie, I don't think we can promise that. But we'll make sure to stay out of trouble." Kairi tells them. She suddenly looks at me. "Be safe, okay?"
Hearing her concern for me, I give her a small smile while I respond. "I'll be fine, but thanks. I should be saying the same thing to both of you. Stay safe, and look after each other. Don't forget, if they suggest something you are uncomfortable with, just say no. If they don't listen, then resist." I tell her. However, she seems confused by what I'm telling her. "Uh, sorry. I got a bit carried away."
"Well, we better get going. Take care of yourself X. Let's go Kairi." Riku tells us. Kairi bows to me and leaves with Riku.
"I hope everything will be okay."
"So, you ready to go?"
I look over to them and realized that the one that asked me was Tidus. I nod my head yes and followed them. We headed over to a dock that has three boats lined up. Tidus and Wakka got in theirs and I shared a boat with Selphie.
No P.O.V.
(Destiny Islands, Main Island: Ocean Road)
Kairi and Riku are walking up Ocean Road, getting ready to leave. Kairi stops in her tracks, looking worried. Riku turns around when he notices that Kairi has stopped.
"Is something wrong Kairi?" Riku asks her. He is worried about her.
"I'm fine. It's just, the stuff that X was saying back there. The way she insisted that I shouldn't go through with this plan. I feel like there is something she wanted to say, but she couldn't." Kairi tells him. She is worried about X, wondering what happened to her before she met them.
"Then that makes two of us. It sounds like she has some history with Ansem and everyone else. Whatever that history was, it sounds like it wasn't anything good." Riku tells her.
"What should we do, Riku?" Kairi asks him. They both stand there in silence, contemplating on what what they should do.
"I think we should ask Ansem and the others. Kairi, since you will be with Ansem the Wise and everyone else that was in the Organization, try to ask them what they know about her. I'll try to talk to her the next time I see her." Riku tells her his idea.
"I'll see what I can learn from them." Kairi tells Riku. They both come to agreement and continue to walk.
X's P.O.V
(Destiny Islands, Small Island: The Seashore)
When we got close to the island, I started feeling a sense of adventure. I started to think about what I could find, places I can explore. Just thinking about it was making me excited. But at the same time, I felt scared.
We reached the dock on the seashore. I saw that Tidus and Wakka have tied their boats to the dock. Once they finished, they took off.
"Once I tie the boat to the dock, you can explore the island as much as you want." Selphie told me. I turned to her and nodded my head in understanding.
We reached the dock and Selphie got to work on tying the boat. Once she was done, she got out of the boat and started to walk away. She turns back to me and see that I'm still in the boat. "Hey, are you coming? Do you need help getting out of the boat?" She asks me.
I look up at her, feeling unsure. One the one hand, I wanted to explore. But on the other hand, I felt uneasy. I don't know why, but this place has a lingering presence. Like someone I know used to be here.
I know that just sitting in this boat won't help me. Strengthening my resolve, I slowly stand up and get out of the boat. I walk over to Selphie, seeing that she was waiting for me. "I'm good, but thank you." I told her. We both walk over to Tidus and Wakka.
"C'mon brudda. Let's have a race, ya? First to da Cove, wins." Wakka tells Tidus.
"Your on Wakka!" Tidus tells him. They both take off.
"Looks like those two are at it again. It's always practice or they want to compete. I swear, it wouldn't hurt for them to just take the time to relax." Selphie was speaking out loud.
"Are they always like this?" I ask her.
"Pretty much. But then again, it would be weird if they stopped training entirely. They just wouldn't be them." Selphie tells me. She turns towards me. When we faced each other, I saw a fierce determination in her eyes. "Well, what would you like to see first? If you have any questions, just ask me."
Hearing this, I take in my surroundings of the place. It's a bit overwhelming.
"The smell of the salty air, the sound of the waves crashing on the beach. Seeing the different plants, the feel of the warm sun. It's strange. I'm used to this stuff in Scala ad Caelum, yet it feels like the first time I have experienced any of this. It's like when I first went to Twilight Town. Everything feels new and exciting."
While looking, I noticed two things. The first thing is a large tree that seems to have been made into a treehouse. The other thing was that there is an old shack that seems to connect to the other side of this island. I don't know why, but looking at the shack makes me feel uneasy.
"Can we check out that giant tree?" I ask Selphie. She nodded her head 'yes' and tried to grab my hand. I stepped back. This seems to have confused her. "Sorry, I'm not comfortable with physical contact." I tell her.
"Oh, it's okay. Don't worry about it. Come with me, and I'll show you." Selphie tells me. She leads the way and I follow right behind her. She led me to the dock and we walk up the wooden board to reach the tree. We walk along the wooden platforms built into the tree and climbed up a ladder to the balcony.
Once I got on the balcony, I stopped and look at the view. I can see where the sky touches the sea, the birds flying pass the clouds and the island we were on earlier. I look at this view and I feel like I'm ready to face whatever comes my way. "Wish I can actually be the confident. I wonder what I was like before I lost my memories."
"Hey, are you okay?" I snapped out of my thoughts and looked at Selphie. She looks concerned about me. Guess I got lost in my thoughts again.
"Sorry, I was lost in thought. Anyways, let's continue." I tell her. I follow her to a treehouse. When I looked inside, I saw that it was empty. I walked inside to look around.
"I'm afraid there isn't anything in here. Sorry." Selphie tells me.
While standing inside the treehouse, the scenery started to change. Instead of brown wooden walls I saw white metal walls surrounding me. Somehow, the treehouse turned into the cell I was in back in Radiant Garden. I quickly rub my eyes and the scenery changed back to the inside of the treehouse.
"It's not real, it's not real, it's not real! Your not in the cell again. Your free and are exploring another world." I think to myself, trying to calm down my frantic thoughts. After doing so, I walk back to Selphie.
"Thank you for showing me the treehouse. Do you think we can check out some other places?" I ask her.
"Oh, sure. I can show you The Cove. Tidus and Wakka should be over there." Selphie tells me.
We both climb down the treehouse and I follow Selphie. We walk across the beach and underneath a dock that seems to connect to a smaller island. We came upon a wall made up of a bunch of wooden boards with a door in the center.
"This door will bring us to The Cove. Let's go, the boys are waiting for us." Selphie tells me. She walks up to the wall, opens the door and walks through. After Selphie went through the door, I thought that I should follow her. But even though I wanted to, I hesitated to follow her.
"Come on, you should just follow her! Everything will be fine. But why does this island make me feel uneasy? It's like what happened when I first arrived in Scala ad Caelum. It makes me feel like I should leave. But, I want to see more of this place, and interact with other people."
Having made up my mind, I head over to the door. I hesitate to open the door, feeling my nerves get the better of me. Stealing my resolve, I quickly push open the door and walk through.
(Destiny Islands, Small Island: The Cove)
After going through the door, I ended up on the other side of the island. From what I can tell, it seems that there is an obstacle course set up here. Lots of platforms around, a zip line and a lot of trees. I saw Tidus, Selphie and Wakka together.
"May as well join them." As I got closer, I think noticed that Tidus and Wakka appear to be arguing.
"Come on Wakka! Just admit that I won that race!" Tidus tells Wakka.
"No way, brudda, I won. Just admit it." Wakka tells Tidus.
"Looks like their trying to figure out who won...whatever it is they did." I look over at Selphie and she seems pretty irritated. "It looks like Selphie is getting annoyed by them. I wonder what's going to happen."
"Alright you two, that's enough!" Selphie yells at them. They both stop and look to her. "Here's the deal, we will have a tie breaker. A race through the obstacle course! The first to touch the star and come all the way back will be the winner!" Selphie tells them.
"Sounds good! You ready to go Wakka?" Tidus asks Wakka.
"Your on brudda!" Wakka replies to them.
"Sounds like these two are ready for a race. I better stay out of their way." I thought to myself. However, I noticed that the three of them are huddled together. They are whispering to each other until they stopped and looked at me.
"Hey X, would you like to join us in our race?" Tidus asks me.
This took me by surprise. I thought they were just going to compete against each other. I wasn't expecting them to ask me to join them in their race.
"You want me to join you in the race?" I ask them, sounding confused.
"Well duh, why do you think they asked you? Just say yes and join them. Lighten up a bit, have a little fun." My mind was screaming at me. "Uh, sure, why not. It sounds like fun." I tell them.
"Alright, let's do this! Everyone get ready!" Tidus tells everyone.
Tidus, Wakka and I line up to start the race. I stand in the center with Wakka to my left and Tidus to my right. Selphie moves to the side, next to Wakka to announce the start of the race.
"Alright! On your mark, get set, go!" Selphie calls out.
Upon hearing that, Tidus, Wakka and I take off towards to goal. We run and jump across the wooden structures, with Tidus barely avoiding a part of the platform that fell. We arrive at a tower and Wakka climbs up the ladder with Tidus trailing right behind him. I climb up the ladder last. When I reach the top, I saw Wakka using a zip line to get across. Tidus jumps onto Wakka's back to hitch a ride across.
"Looks like I'll need to take another path. But I don't think I'm gonna win." I thought to myself.
I jump down to the ground and I land on the ground. I look around and I saw some trees nearby. I run over to the trees and jump on top of them. When I landed on top the trees, I saw that Tidus and Wakka are also jumping on top of the trees to reach the goal. I jump across the top of the trees to catch up to them.
As I got closer, I saw that Wakka has just touched the star and is turning around. Right after Wakka turned around, Tidus touched the star and is following Wakka. After hoping across the trees, I finally reached the star. I turn around to head back to the goal.
I hop across the top of the trees back to the zip line tower. As I got closer, I saw that Tidus made it back first, with Wakka arriving just after him.
"When did Tidus pass him?" I run over to the wooden structures and run across them. When I made it back to the starting point, I saw that Tidus was celebrating.
"Yes, yes! I did it!" Tidus cheered in excitement. Wakka walks over to him and puts his hand on Tidus shoulder. He is congratulating him.
"Great job Tidus!" I congratulated him.
"Thanks, you did good too. It was your first time doing this obstacle course, but you did good. Maybe one day, you'll be able to beat us." Tidus tells me.
"Alright, let's take a break and relax for a bit. Besides, we need to show her the best spot to see the sunset." Selphie tells everyone.
"Sunset? What does she mean?" I thought to myself. I looked up at the sky and I realized that the sun is starting to set. "I didn't even realize the time. I guess time in this world must move faster." I thought to myself.
"Hey X, do you want to see the sunset? We know the best place to look at it." Selphie tells me. Suddenly, Selphie, Tidus and Wakka go through the door.
"I guess I should follow them." I open the door and walk through.
(Destiny Islands, Small Island: The Seashore)
"That's weird, where did they go? They must have gone further ahead. I better catch up to them."
When I made it to the other side, I didn't see them over here. Seeing that they weren't here, I figured that they might be somewhere else. I walk across the beach until I see them standing in front of the small waterfall. I walk over to them to know where we are going.
"Alright, let's show X the best spot to see the sunset." Selphie tells Tidus and Wakka. The three head over to a wooden shack and go inside it. I follow them and go inside the shack.
(Destiny Islands, Small Island: Seaside Shack)
When I stepped inside the wooden shack, I was surprised by how big it was. It was basically empty, with only a crate or two and a set of stairs that lead upwards. While I was looking around, I didn't see Tidus, Selphie or Wakka in here. Seeing that, I figured that they must have went up the stairs. However, before I could go up the stairs, the place suddenly changed. The wooden walls became metal and the door behind me became metal.
"What's going on? Why is this place suddenly changing appearance? Isn't this a shack, or not?" I started to think to myself. Trying to calm my panic thoughts, I turn towards the stairs and run up them. When I reach the top, I see a door and quickly open it, getting blinded by the sunlight.
(Destiny Islands, Small Island: Seashore)
After adjusting to the light, I was able to see clearly. The door lead me to a wooden bridge that reaches to a smaller island. On the smaller island, I saw some palm trees with one of them being curved close to the ground. I saw Tidus, Selphie and Wakka standing next to a palm tree. Seeing them, I walk across the bridge and join them next to the tree.
"There you guys are. So, this is the place you were talking about?" I ask them.
"That's right. This place is the best spot to see the sunset. Maybe one day you can bring your boyfriend here to see the view. It will be so romantic!" Selphie tells me, getting lost in her romantic fantasy.
"A boyfriend?!"Where did this come from? "Um, I don't have anyone like a boyfriend." I tell Selphie while stuttering.
"There you go again, getting lost in your romantic daydreams. I know that you want to find love, but you need to remember to keep up with your training." Tidus tells Selphie.
"Says someone who spends most of their time training. Whether it's for blitzball or hoping one day to beat Riku, all you can think about is training." Selphie counters back.
"Alright you two. Let's calm down, ya? Let's enjoy da sunset together." Wakka tells Tidus and Wakka, trying to calm them down. They look at each other and nod their heads in agreement.
"I'm glad that Wakka was able to handle the situation.I don't know how to handle breaking up an argument. I guess I should try to work on that." I thought to myself.
Tidus and Selphie go over to the tree and sit on its tree trunk. Wakka stands in front of the trunk, next to Selphie. I walk over to the tree and stand next to Wakka. I noticed that they were all looking at a distance, so I decided to see what they are looking at. When I did, I saw the orange glow of the sunset. The color being reflected onto the sea.
"This looks so beautiful. I don't understand. I've seen sunsets back in Scala ad Caelum all the time, so why does this feel so different? Is it because this is the first time I've seen one on the Destiny Islands? Is it because I'm seeing this sunset with otherpeople? Or maybe it because I've never witnessed a sunset on a beach? I'm not sure. All I know is that when I compare the sunsets between here and Scala, they are different." I thought to my self.
Suddenly, I felt and heard the presence of a nearby portal. I recognize the sound and presence of the portal. It's one of Luxu's portals. That means that he is here. "I better go see him."
"Hey guys, I think my current guardian is here now." I tell them.
"Really, they're here? Well, I guess it's time for you to go." Tidus tells me. Tidus, Selphie and Wakka all look a bit disappointed.
"Do you think you can ask if you can be here a little longer?" Selphie asks me.
"I don't think he will let me. I'm pretty sure he wants us to head back home as soon as possible. But, thank you for showing me around. I had a lot of fun today." I told them.
"Be sure to come back sometime, ya?" Wakka tells me.
"I will, hopefully. Again, thanks for showing me around and I hope we can see each other again someday. Goodbye everyone." I tell the three of them.
I take off, waving to them as I cross the bridge. When I look down, I saw Luxu walking underneath the bridge. I crouch down, and jump off the bridge, landing on the beach. This got his attention and he turned around to see me.
"There you are X. I was wondering how you left Scala ad Caelum and ended up here. Are you okay?" Luxu asks me, concerned about my well being.
"I'm sorry for disappearing like that. I was just walking around when a random portal appeared and pulled me in." I apologized to him. I then realized that he said. "Wait, how did you know that this was the world that I ended up in?" I ask him.
"Easy, I have a tracking device put in your coat. That way, if you suddenly disappear and we don't know where you are, we can easily find you. I didn't think I would need to use it, but it looks like it comes in handy." Luxu tells me.
"So that means he can track my every move? That sounds kind of creepy."
"How are you doing, kiddo? Any mental breakdowns?" Luxu asks me.
"No, no breakdowns. Wait, aren't you mad that I suddenly disappeared?" I ask him.
"I'm not mad at you, just worried. Worried that you would have a breakdown. This world isn't safe for you to go to. It could cause you to panic or lash out at anyone and anything." Luxu tells me.
"Well I did have some visions, but other than that, I'm fine. I got to see some of the island and I was able to meet some of the people here." I tell Luxu.
"Do they know that you're from another world?" He asks me.
"No. I didn't tell them." I tell Luxu.
"That's good. Now I think it's time to bring you home." Luxu tells me as he opens a portal. I look at the portal and go inside with Luxu following behind me.
X's Diary Entry 4
After a few days of training, I came upon a portal of light. Feeling curious, I went into it and ended up in a world called The Destiny Islands.
I met some teenagers that were very kind and helpful. Through them, I learned that a friend of theirs has disappeared. Hearing that, I thought about my friends. Without thinking, I offered to help them find him. After all, I know what it's like to be separated from your friends and have no clue where they are. Both the old and the new.
After spending the rest of the day there, Luxu found me and brought me back the Scala ad Caelum. He admitted that he wasn't mad, but rather, he was worried about me. It makes sense, since I was in another world, alone, with no one knowing where I was. However, I was not expecting what he would tell me. He told me that he was worried about me having a breakdown in THAT world. Says that the island could make me lash out and panic. I don't understand what he means by that. The Destiny Islands are so calm and peaceful. It felt like there was nothing to worry about.
However, I do remember the shack that was on the small island. Going through it, even just looking at it, made me feel uneasy. Could that have been what he was talking about?
May my heart be my guiding key.
Foretellers Report Entry 4
I noticed that it has been a couple of hours since she finished her training for the day. Normally she would be back by now. While I know she's an adult, her mind has been greatly affected from her time with Xehanort. Concerned for her well being, I pull out the tracking device to find her. While I know putting a tracking device on her coat may be overkill, it's for her own safety.
I was able to pick up her location. She has ended up on the Destiny Islands. That's a problem. When I first brought her to Scala ad Caelum, she ended up having a break down. I realized that the experiments had made her sensitive to any worlds that Xehanort has been to, no matter how long it's been. Since Xehanort was raised there as a baby, she is bound to panic and have a breakdown.
When I found her, she was calm and it looked like she was having fun. I haven't seen her give a genuine smile like that, even after helping her escape. But I need to bring her back. It's for her own good.
When she realized I was here, she apologized for making me worried. I told her it was okay, instead focusing on her and her condition. She seems to be okay for now, but it's best to bring her back immediately. She may be back in Scala ad Caelum, but I know that she is going to be suffering from nightmares for the next couple of days. It'll be best to put her training on hold until she has recovered.

Sorry that it took so long to post this. I was having a bit of writers block and I didn't want to rush it. I wanted this to be something I would be proud of instead of posting something I wouldn't like. Then Hazbin Hotel finally came out and I was completely engrossed in the fandom and the show. Thank you for being patient.
Also, I decided to bring back Tidus, Selphie and Wakka since it's been some time since they have last appeared. The last time they appeared was in Kingdom Hearts: Coded, and those were data versions of them. Also, in Kingdom Hearts 2, Selphie is the only one of the three that actually appears. In that time, a year has passed and they look a bit older. Because of this, we don't know what Tidus and Wakka look like after a year had passed. I was originally going to have their appearances described through Skuld/X P.O.V, but it didn't really flow that well in the story. So instead, I'll give you a little description here.
Tidus is a bit taller, being shorter than Wakka and Riku. For his school uniform, he has the top two buttons of his shirt unbuttoned and his sky blue neck tie is completely untied. His navy blue pants and black shoes are left unaltered.
Wakka still has his strong build and he is a head taller than Riku. He rolls his shirt sleeves up to his shoulders. His neck tie is slightly loose. He rolls his blue pants to just above his ankles, revealing his navy blue socks. His black shoes are unaltered. He keeps his blue wristbands.
I honestly thought I would have uploaded this before the end of February. But I guess I was wrong. I'm gonna try to do a better job at uploading these chapters. Don't want to keep all of you waiting for who knows how many months. Just a little note, I tend to work on future chapters while also working on the next chapter. So, maybe one day there will be more than one chapter out.
See you all next time!
