Chapter One: A New Beginning
They say that one person at the right place at the right time can change everything but what if it's not just one person but whole group of people, friends even. That's what was going through my head as the ship docked at Beacon Academy but, my thought process was quickly interrupted by a tap on the shoulder "excuse me I don't mean to interrupt you in deep thought but that sword you have it reminds me of one I read in a book" said a dark haired young man that was sitting next to me I then turned my head to him and said "a book you say? I can probably guess which sword and book but, I don't want to assume" with a bit of smile to appear friendly and interested since I've never been good at reading people "it's a book about a young boy turned king after pulling a legendary sword from a stone, just that sword seemed similar in design to the one in the book and you look a bit older to be a new student here" he replied with eyes that showed genuine interest and glowed a deep red then I chuckled nervously "well that's because I am, I went on a one year pilgrimage due to a dream I had and due to my family's influence I was given semi-special treatment, strange that only you noticed that, what is your semblance if you don't mind me asking?" I replied curiously "oh! that sounds like a story and a half and it's blood related I can see and manipulate blood but can only manipulate it when it's outside of someone's body and I'm Damian by the way. Also your eyes and hair are both white and that scar on your right eye seems fairly recent" He said with caution I looked at him with genuine interest smiled and said "oh it is! And that's a really cool semblance I can see a lot of tactical uses for it! Oh where are my manners name's Draygo StormShadow a pleasure, if we end up on the same team I'll tell you and the rest of the team all about it" then we both are interrupted by the the intercom "we have arrived at Beacon academy" as Damian and were getting up out of our seats we see a Blond haired young man holding his mouth run outside the doors I then made a face that showed both concern and pain and said to Damian "oh yikes, motion sickness, been there done that" but Damian wasn't paying attention and when I checked to see where he was looking at there was two girls one taller and blond with what appears to be gauntlets which my first thought was "a close ranged brawler reminds me of someone else" then a shorter redhaired girl with a scythe and silver eyes I then thought "I see she's one of the ones I'm here for the other one must be her sister" then when I used my semblance on my eyes to see which one Damian was looking at particularly I laughed and said "well then! The Brothers seem to have everything set up! Time for me to do my part! Don't Worry Damian, I'll help you with her!" Damian then jumped and blushed while stuttering "I- I don't know what you're talking about! I just helped her fight off a couple of goons at a dust store once it's not like I was entranced and captivated by her graceful fighting style or anything" I then padded him on the shoulder and laughed even hard "HAHAHA! Ok Cassanova" I replied sarcastically.
I left the ship and calmed down then headed out the building and soon as I stepped 5 feet outside, I get tackled to the ground and feel a couple of soft mounds on my chest and hearing a tail wag while coming to I then put my hand on the head of my assailant and said "couldn't last a few days without me next to you could you Selerrain? And here I thought I was the clingy one" the assailant then replied with a voice that one could describe as a stereotypical Tsundere mocking voice "it's your fault you know all those nights we spent together if it wasn't for those I wouldn't be like this" after those words left Selerrian's mouth we could both hear shocked replies and hushed judging whispers and I lifted my right hand show a ring on the finger where one would have a wedding ring "we ARE married it's not THAT shocking for a married couple to sleep together!" I yelled to the onlookers and then then stopped then seemed even more confused and concerned and went on their day for the exception of one very large young man with a equally large hammer on his back and Orange hair asked "why are a married couple, students here?" Selerrain got off and looked at him then back at me "should we tell him?" I then replied to her "not yet I want to know who he is and why he's still here" then got up and told him "First off, it's a long story if you end up on our team then I'll tell you the whole story and if the other one ends up on our team, then well you both will hear it. Anyway, my name's Draygo and this is my wife Selerrain we've been married for 3 months again long story" the large young man then shrugged then replied "ok? And the other one his name wouldn't be Damian by any chance, would it?" "That it would, I assume you to are friends or at least know each other?" I replied with a shocked look on my face. He then sighed then replied "yes, we are friends grew up together actually how much did he tell you about himself?" with a look of confusion I replied "not much just his name and what his semblance is but nothing bad that I can think of well maybe his semblance but honestly I think it's a cool ability he did seem concerned when he told me about it like he thought I'd be scared or something honestly seen heard and fought worse things on my pilgrimage like I said twice before long story" I went up to the young man to shake his hand and he then took it and said "that's a first and my name is Nalzarion Baelfyre its good to finally meet a decent person like yourself"
"The pleasure is all mine Sir Nalzarion mind if I call you Nalz?" Nalzarion then smiled then replied "only if we end up on the same team" I then snickered "touché, got me there then let's hope the brothers bless us all then" then a familiar voice from the distant interrupts "not only you got yourself a wife but you also have made more friends? you changed a lot in the last year haven't you?" and large black haired man with large claw like hand and large hairy arms the same age as I comes around a corner with a smile that most would consider sinister as well as what seemed to be 3 others a larger man who was covered head to toe in pitch black armor the only thing you can see is his eyes which glowed crimson red carrying a small girl with bear ears "Hey Brez and Kassie! Who's the big guy? He looks familiar and wasn't-" as soon as I was about ask where the other guy went I sensed a presence behind me there was a intent that seemed to be a killing one but something else hid behind it so I reach behind me grabbed the arm of the person behind me and tossed him over my shoulder and I then saw a Black haired purpled eyed and dark skinned young man on the ground "you must be his other team member what was that and who ARE you?" I asked with concern and interest but also a impressed frustration "names RoniItzal and nice moves I can use shadows to confuse and shock my opponents and you have some of the best senses I've seen I had just popped up from your shadow when you grabbed and tossed me" he then sits up and turns to Brezak with a huge grin on his face "I can see why you were eager to meet him before the test!" Brezeck smiles as well with a surprised look "what happened during that one year?" then I replied, "I'll tell you after the team Selection test." Nalzarion witnessing everything spoke up "I think the orientation is starting now so we need to get going now" I looked at Selerrain and back at Nalzarion and at my watch "shit your right we gotta go NOW" so I then pick Selerrain up use my semblance and say "you are about witness a bit of what happened during my pilgrimage" I get in a running stance and just disappear from everyone else's eyes while Nalzarion was sprinting over to the main academy building Brezeck then scratches his head "did- did he just use his semblance to speed to the main building?" RoniItzal ask "is his semblance speed or something?" "no, its shapeshifting" Brezeck Replied concerned "what?! But he didn't turn into anything?!" RoniItzal replied shocked "I'm surprised myself I guess that was the results of the training he mentioned in his letter" "so, that is the one" the armored man finally spoke "what's that Zevy? You heard of him?" Kassie replied with a child-like voice while hanging from armored man's shoulders. "aye, you all have wondered why I look the way I do when I'm out of my armor" he said solemnly "well Zevrex, we figured you'd tell us eventually since all the shit we all have been through together and we didn't want to press especially since you and my sister have been getting along really well I didn't think it was right to push away another Brother" Brezeck replied while smacking him on the back and laughing "heh, it's very much appreciated if ya'll don't mind waiting a bit longer I'll explain everything to you all and Draygo's team assuming the team is trustworthy" Zevrex said while looking towards the main building
