Chapter 4

One week later

It has been a blast learning all about chakra in the library and today we would be unlocking it at the academy grounds.

"Oi Loki pay attention!" Barked an instructor who was droning on and on about what chakra was.

"I already know this stuff. I am just waiting for the actual event." I replied blandly much to his annoyance

"It's ok Daiki, he's the one who skips theory classes for the library instead." I had to admit to liking Hezuki-sensei a lot more than anyone else at the academy as he seemed the only one who knew to simply help me with what I actually struggled with. He had helped me anytime something I was reading didn't make sense, and could always be counted on to give answers not lectures.

Now as Hezuki-sensei took my hands in his and began the process of unlocking my chakra I was proud to also call him a friend. "Thank you." I kept it short as any mushy stuff might kill the image I was trying to keep up.

"Your welcome Loki, keep up the hard work and you will be exercising with the 10 year olds next year." It was already part of my goal as that was Naruto's class which would let me form a reputation with them early on before they could fill up their interesting people slots.

1 year later

'Well I have certainly done something impressive.' I thought as I stood on top of the river in training ground 2. Now that my stats screen said my chakra control or cc had reached 98% I knew that I could focus on what that one guy did to try to get free skills. Jutsu invention. It would be quite the task but I was resolved and had even convinced Hezuki-sensei to get me a piece of chakra paper to find out I had a water affinity.

Ok so place your hands in front of your body and mold your chakra without seals but instead let the chakra flow mold your hand seals. This is what I had gleaned from a small book written by Tobimara about jutsu creation. It was a great read as it really helped explain several things, like how to do jutsu without seals and why the sharingan wasn't quite perfect at copying. Apparently a copied jutsu could only be done by performing all the seals and to use less seals the sharingan user would have to practice like everyone else.

It also explained that chakra cost was calculated by the intended user rank like this. E and D rank jutsu costs were based on genin average reserves, C-B ranks were based on chunin average capacity and A-S ranks were based on average jonin. It made much more sense that a shadow clone would take half the chakra of some run of the mill jonin like Kurenai than that it would take half your chakra no matter what. I mean if you do some simple math if a kage has 10000 cp and Naruto has 1,000,000 cp which is way way more than is hinted at in the show then he would only have like 7cp by the time he made 17 clones which is dumb lazy writing. Rather it seemed that the formula was more like: average jonin cap = 4500 and cc = 65% so the cost of a clone is 2200 cp. However if you had control (cc) like mine at 98% the cost would only be 800. Wow, control is so unbelievably huge when calculating combat potential. Luckily I have gamer cheats for it.

6 months later

Water sword jutsu, water laser jutsu, water hill top jutsu, water cloak jutsu, water telescope jutsu,water hazard jutsu. These were the jutsu I came up with and perfected in the past 6 months while training my body to keep up with the older kids. I seemed like my body was at a bottleneck which was fine with me as I had already made an impression on the class I had been training with.

After I announced my dream to the whole class of Naruto's generation, I got: universal disgust from the people doomed to fail which was fine, Choji and Kiba seemed unaffected but curious, Sasuke looked like i was a can of human shit dumped on his lawn, Naruto literally didn't understand, Hinata fainted which was kinda funny at the time, Ino blushed and sputtered about me being a pervert, Shikamaru looked more weirded out by my dream of a new clan than the harem part, Sakura tried to punch me so I punched her as hard as I could right on the nose, this action did not win me any points with anyone especially Naruto, and the best part was that Shino was my only ally as he found my method of family

expansion to be quite like the hives he kept.

I was now level 10 apparently. U received 1 ATT every 5 levels and 10 ab every level and since you can't spend ab on cc at all I had been hoarding half my points per level. I put 1 into strength and 1 into Agility for my ATTs. As for my ab points I put everything into ninjutsu that I didn't save up and it was just now starting to pay off.

11 months later

Well it was over halfway through my 3rd year at the academy and only 2 months till I turned 10 so it was time for an inventory of recent events. I had invented 49 new jutsu with the most notable among them being the water lawnmower jutsu, and the 5th water television jutsu and the 45th water tape jutsu. The mower was notable because it allowed me to realize that recreating random bs with water counted as new jutsu. The water tv was great because it displayed, although with very little color, exactly what the caster wanted it to. The water tape was actually how I made my first 2 kills and 1 capture against those 3 women who tried to infiltrate during a filler episode at the academy. It allows me to put a layer of water over someone's mouth and nose to suffocate them if they do not figure out its weakness in time.

Now I was level 26 and had 9 agility and for ab I now had 100 in ninjutsu 100 in water jutsu. After maxing those out I had 70 points left over and put them all into my newest skill funijutsu which was now at 80. This meant that I was now noticeably lagging in taijutsu against my peers and they only ever lost because of my agility being high enough for me to occasionally fail but also I was often fast enough to salvage a mistake.

I had developed a chill, and mutual respect with both Shino and Shikamaru but most of the class liked me even less than before for various reasons of their own. I had decided not to take Hinata for myself but to hook her up with Naruto which was proving difficult as Hinata fainted around me as much as ramen breath and of course Naruto did not like me much. It was probably because I had beaten Sasuke in a spar a few times despite my bad technique and told Naruto straight up that we were not rivals which he took rather poorly.

On a brighter note I was plowing through fuinjutsu even though I just started. Mostly because of dumping ab points beforehand and now I could create seals of my own to supplement my dwindling ideas for water jutsu. Meaning I had a second xp farming tool.

At the moment I was headed to the Hokage tower to speak with the old man about a loan. His secretary was going to be a problem though.

"No you cannot see Hokage-sama without an appointment now leave!" She was an older woman who liked to push people around whenever she could get away with it. I, however, knew that the old man was listening in on our argument so I used my tried and true tactic of talking to him while looking at someone else.

"I need to see him as I have run out of resources that only he can provide for my training. This is pertaining to an experiment he started so I wish to speak with him directly." I used everything I had in that statement to get his attention so I really hoped it would work.

"I don't care now le-"

"Send him in Juni-san"I heard to my delight. As I walked past her I patted her shoulder and said "No hard feelings you were just doing your job" It was both an olive branch and a parting shot depending on how she chose to take it.

"So, your out of resources hmmmm? That is mighty strange as the resource I gave you was unlimited access to the library. Please don't tell me you lost the card I gave you." He seemed only mildly worried that that would be the case as he puffed on his pipe.

"Nah just thought the phrase would get your attention so we could talk face to face. Truth is I need money for sealing supplies. It can be a loan. I will sell various seals to both pay you back and get my own stuff for the next batch." I was open and honest in a way that only liars and cheats can be. When it came to the old man it was always amusing because he seemed to never expect it. Which meant he received reports on how I behaved when not around him.

He chuckled a bit and rolled his eyes "Am I the only person who you don't lie to in order to get your way Loki-kun?"

It caught me off guard to hear that so directly which seemed to amuse him all the more. Touch'e old man. "Well to honest about it I have never felt the need to deceive you to make you do the reasonable thing, but others with a few exceptions seem to be dedicated to the idea that no one should ever just ask why someone needs something and then do or give the something because it costs nothing but a few minutes of their time its soooooo dumb!" I ranted openly because it felt good and might even make him take a look at the way people behaved toward each other.

"Well that is certainly a strong opinion of other people considering you spend most of your time alone. Tell me if so many people annoy you in the academy why not graduate tomorrow and be done with it, we both know if you wanted to you could?" He probed.

"This year will be over in a couple months. I intend to graduate early in 9 months time which will be half way through the next year's curriculum. It will avoid me being put on a genin team and get me out into the field early. However the reason I do not wish to graduate now is that I am not yet ready for the field. The gaps in my abilities are a liability that I will not accept. That is why I need these next 9 months, sigh, If you want me to, I will give you a timeline of what I will do before I test out early, but I want guarantees about the loan first."

Hiruzen looked very interested which meant 3 things 1 hook 2 line 3 sinker booooyah

"Ok Loki-kun I will lend you 3000$ for supplies. That's enough for 200 seals at least but I want your full timeline of what you plan to do."

"Well the first step is to make the seals I need in order to make money. Then I intend to finish my training with seals to become a true seal master. Next I will continue making some seals but mostly focus on fixing my taijutsu. Then 2 months before I graduate I will declare to the world my first harem target."

At this the old man laughed out loud saying he would look forward to the revelation. "Oh you think that will be great, well 1 month before I graduate I will come back here and ask you to help me to get her and to your own surprise you, will help me.

"Oh Loki-kun you have ever been an interesting child to watch grow here, take the money and go work on your master plan hehehe I can't wait for these next 7 months to pass."
