Chapter 432

Is This The Bloke

Cameron still didn't like the fact they almost were 'hit' by the enemy. They needed to find the group who was behind it. They were out there somewhere. They set several things into motion. To return to the two buildings they went to do recon on in the first place was one of them. There was nothing there. It seemed there never was. It was all a ploy to draw them out.

Everyone wanted to torch the two buildings from the day of the attack except her. She planted a few surveillance devices. Some of them could be found without too much effort. There were others which would take a lot of effort and skill to find. She hoped someone would show up to search and find the decoys, but not the real ones. It was what she wanted. She wanted retribution.

So far nothing happened. She said give it time and they will come back. When they did, she was going to pay them a special visit.

Both John Henry and CamNet watched the two structures through the surveillance cameras. The surveillance cameras of the other businesses in the area were also commandeered to watch for any patterns. John Henry received regular satellite images also. It was standard for everything they watched. CamNet was able to take control of any satellite whenever Cameron, or John Henry, wanted it or needed it. It didn't matter what nation it was from. The feeds would be looped and the satellite would be put into orbit where it was needed.

John Henry wondered how many nuclear facilities or missiles Cameron could control through CamNet. He didn't want to ask. He didn't want to make her lie. It put her one step closer to being Skynet herself. CamNet controlled the network Charles Fisher set into motion. She was able to spread the 'back door' worldwide. If Cameron used the encryption from River, no one could break the code. He still hadn't been able to break the code on the TDE. He never stopped trying. It was already more than a few years now. If Cameron were to use the encryption worldwide, she could disable a large percentage of weapons, there were still many others. Skynet would have a harder time to deploy those. CamNet could block many, he hoped. Either way, some would always be able to be used. Even one weapon used in each of the major cities of the world would kill millions in seconds.

Skynet was going to have a lot fewer options with CamNet around, but it wasn't powerless, even if it was limited.

CamNet was going to have a lot more options. The very weapons she could deny Skynet the use of, she in turn could use herself. It appeared to be a double edged sword.

It seemed there was little which actually stood in Cameron's way through CamNet. Perhaps it was only love. It might not be the love to or from John either. Maybe it was the love of the 'Chosen One', the one who would never leave her side, even when it meant certain death.

Ally returned earlier from running down a few leads for Cameron. She previously took the manned drone up when they thought there was going to be some Skynet action. It didn't happen as planned.

Sheila was waiting for her when she arrived.

"Where have you been lollygagging at?" Sheila asked.

Ally didn't like the inference.

"You're the lollygagger, not me." Ally said.

Sheila made a fist at Ally.

"I'll give you something to gag on when I jam my fist down your throat." Sheila said. "There won't be anything 'lolly' about it."

Ally laughed.

Sheila laughed as well.

The two Metal girls gave each other a hug. There was always a lot of playful banter between them. It was often negative. Some of it could get quite pointed and sound very crude. They actually enjoyed each other's company, but tried to pretend like they didn't care about each other. It was clear to anyone who ever observed them, they were in love with each other.

Sheila already selected several targets. They were Skynet related. As standard operating procedure, if they came across targets of opportunity, such as future Scavengers, they were to deal with them with 'extreme prejudice'.

Ally went over the information as they checked over their gear.

"How do you want to play this?" Ally asked.

Sheila usually liked to take the direct approach.

"I think we should walk right inside and take a look around." Sheila said. "I don't think they will make us for Terminators."

Ally needed to laugh.

"Especially the way you flash your nipple rings around." Ally said. "They're more likely to peg you as a crazy person."

Sheila didn't care for Ally's characterization of her.

"It gets me in the door without getting shot." Sheila said. "Not everyone has a 'porcelain doll face' like you. It's too bad you don't fix it up to make it look nice."

Ally was insulted by Sheila's reference to her appearance.

"I look fine without having to do a thing." Ally said. "I catch everyone's attention when I want to."

Sheila adjusted her position slightly and a breast with a nipple ring popped out.

Ally looked at it.

"So do I." Sheila said. "I got your attention right now."

Sheila was aware everyone looked when a nipple ring was exposed. It didn't matter if they were male, female, or a cyborg.

Ally reached over to touch the ring.

"Crazy is as crazy does." Ally said.

Sheila playfully slapped her hand away.

"I think I made my point." Sheila said. "There will be plenty of time to do other things later."

Ally and Sheila left from Cameron's base in an SUV. They headed towards the location of the first target.

"When I was with Cameron the other day, we came across some future Scavengers in the park near the Young residence in Palmdale." Ally said.

Sheila tilted her head slightly. It wasn't anything new. They encountered future Scavengers all the time.

"It sounds like more of the same. I know you terminated them." Sheila said. "Was there anything special about them?"

Ally thought it was a little brazen for a daytime attack in a city park.

"It seems the situation is getting worse." Ally said. "There doesn't seem to be any deterrent for the perpetrators."

Sheila pulled out her knife.

"I always make sure there's a deterrent." Sheila said. "When I'm done with them, it's permanent."

Ally frowned slightly.

"You know Cameron doesn't approve of your methods." Ally said.

Sheila put her knife away and shrugged her shoulders.

"She never stops me." Sheila said.

Ally could see they were close to the target location.

"I think we're about two blocks out." Ally said.

Sheila drove past the location in the front once. Nothing unusual was spotted. They previously viewed the satellite images around the area where they were.

"The front looks the same." Sheila said. "Let's try the back."

They turned right at the next street. There was no alley behind the building. They continued to the next street and made a right. They parked when they went around the corner.

They exited the SUV. They only carried their small arms with them. They walked down the street past several buildings. They didn't spot anyone out, even though there were parked cars in front of several of the buildings.

"The next building should be vacant." Ally said.

They looked around when they reached the vacant building. There was a gate over the driveway to the rear of the building. It was closed. They continued across the front of the vacant building to the other side. There was a small gate located there.

Sheila tried it. The gate opened.

They took one look in back of them before they passed through the gate and went along the side of the building towards the rear. There was nothing at the loading dock of the vacant building. They continued towards the rear of the property itself. The building in question would be catawampus to the southeast corner where they were headed.

They carefully moved up towards the corner of the property to look at the rear of the location in question.

Sheila took the lead.

Ally kept track of what was happening around them, and in back of them, in case anything developed. She detected something in the property next to them which was directly in back of the target location.

They conversed in a decibel level only another Terminator could hear.

"There's someone on the other side of the east fence." Ally said.

They heard the sound of metal landing on top of metal.

"There's another one for the scrap pile." The voice said.

It sounded as if someone took something out of the other building and dumped it in the back. They could hear them retreat.

Sheila moved up to the corner of the four properties. The fence was approximately six feet high. She placed her hands on top of it and slowly pulled herself up so she could look over towards the property in question. She could also look into the property directly behind them and the one on the east side. She didn't detect any threats.

"I don't see anything." Sheila said.

Ally continued to monitor the area behind them as well as around them.

"Can we cross over?" Ally asked.

Sheila wasn't sure if she wanted to try to approach from the rear of the building, or go back around to the front. The way they were dressed, they could usually get someone to open the door to find out what they wanted. If they were Grays, they usually figured it was someone they could grab and tie to a 'comfort bunk'.

"I don't think anyone is home." Sheila said.

Ally wanted to wrap things up so they could move on to the next location.

"Let's go take a look." Ally said. "If it's nothing, we'll roll."

John went to see Savannah earlier. He was satisfied Savannah 'acted' on her own. They shared an emotional moment together. Now it was time to move on. He wanted his mother to know she was a grandmother. He believed it would be something important to her for several reasons.

Savannah and John left her room.

They headed for Sarah's room. They traded quick glances at each other as they walked.

Savannah reached over and took John's hand.

At first John was 'afraid' to take it, but she persisted. When he took her hand it felt so soft and warm to him. It felt 'right'. Savannah smiled at him. It melted his heart a little more. The seeds of love were there. They just needed to be cultivated.

Savannah just did what she felt like doing then. It was nothing Cameron or anyone told her to do. It felt 'right'. She could feel John grow in her heart. It was something she wanted to do. Maybe it gave her the feeling of some additional support as they headed toward his Mother's room.

They both felt like young lovers. They both knew this was the future. It was only a matter of time and the 'right moment' before it happened.

Sarah watched John and Savannah come into the room. Something was different. She could tell right away. Somehow they were closer now. A new bond seemed to have developed. They were playful and at ease. They almost seemed like lovers, young lovers.

Back more than a few years ago, this is what Sarah would have liked for John instead of Future Riley. The timing was off. Cameron always told her this was the relationship of John's future.

Sarah knew they couldn't be lovers, at least not with Cameron around. Everyone knew Cameron wasn't going anywhere. Or was she? A new inner 'fear' gripped her. Maybe this was the first step in another one of Cameron's 'risky missions'. She hoped not.

She looked at Savannah, she was different now. Savannah looked like a woman now, not a young teenager. She just saw Savannah a few days ago and she didn't look like she did now. She hadn't studied Savannah in detail, but she knew what Savannah looked like. She saw her body was fuller and her breasts were noticeably larger.

'Did she get implants?' Sarah wondered.

John broke her chain of thought.

"Mom, there's something we NEED to tell you." John said.

Sarah looked harder at Savannah.

Wait.

Those looked like nursing breasts….

She couldn't believe it. When did this happen? Was Savannah pregnant? The increased breast size usually happened later in a pregnancy. Savannah didn't LOOK pregnant.

"No!" Sarah said. "NO!"

Savannah didn't think there was any easy way to say it, so she just said it. The back story was complicated.

"Sarah, you're a grandmother now." Savannah said. "I had a baby, John's baby."

Sarah was in shock. She must have misunderstood or misheard Savannah. Things didn't add up. She needed some clarification.

"Do you mean you're pregnant?" Sarah asked.

Savannah wanted it all out there and no secrets.

"Yes." Savannah said. "I also gave birth to a baby girl a month ago."

Sarah couldn't get her head around it. Savannah never looked pregnant. She did look like a young woman. How old was she again? What she just heard was too much for her to process. She needed to verify Savannah's statement.

"What?" Sarah asked. "You had a baby a month ago?"

Savannah held the thumb drive Cameron provided her with. It seemed in this case some visual reinforcement was necessary.

"Yes I did. Her name is Hope. I have her pictures." Savannah said.

Sarah didn't see how it could be true. What was the date? Was it April first? No, it wasn't. This wasn't an April Fools Day prank, even if she wanted it to be. Savannah was just a girl not too long ago. Time marched on.

"I saw you a few weeks ago. You weren't pregnant, at least not pregnant enough to have a baby. How far along are you? You're not even showing." Sarah said. "John, what have you done? This is OUR Savannah."

Savannah didn't want the 'blame' put on John. He didn't know. It would probably be cast onto Cameron next. She didn't want it either. She didn't regret her decisions. They were done. Life moved forward not backward.

"It was my choice, Sarah." Savannah said. "I acted on my own."

Sarah still wasn't sure she was the recipient of some elaborate prank. She really hoped she was. It didn't seem like it.

"This isn't a joke right?" Sarah asked.

Savannah rotated in a circle.

"Does my body look like it's joking?" Savannah asked. "It's almost back to 'normal' but you can still see."

Savannah lifted her shirt. There was still some flab to her normally smooth and tight belly.

Sarah could see this was real. She gave Savannah a big hug and John a dirty look.

John was about to protest.

Savannah didn't want John to take the 'rap' for what happened. She spoke before he could. She looked at him and touched his arm.

"I have this." Savannah said. "I think we should all sit down. I need to plug this in anyway.

Savannah activated the thumb drive. The proof was on it. She told her story to Sarah. John listened again. It was all so hard to believe for both of them. She showed them the files Cameron provided for her. She told John it was OK to 'see' her. He was going to anyway. It was just a matter of time.

They watched Hope as she was born and every image of her until Cameron left. Some of the images were of Cameron staring at Hope as she slept at night. It seemed Cameron was there every night and just stared at Hope as she slept. It was clear Cameron loved the baby as much as Savannah did.

As much as Sarah didn't want things to be true, it was. To actually see the small infant was very gratifying and joyful. She was a grandmother! She wanted to hold her grand-daughter.

"Is there any way I can see the baby? Can I see Hope, my grand-daughter?" Sarah asked.

Savannah was flooded with emotion with Sarah's question. She felt very uneasy and distressed right now. She hoped it wasn't going to happen but it was.

"Not unless you go into the future she is in." Savannah said. "Or they return to this timeline."

Sarah could see the question hurt Savannah. She understood what Savannah needed to do to return to this timeline. She needed to leave something very important behind.

"I'm sorry, Savannah." Sarah said. "I didn't mean to hurt you."

Savannah was even touched deeper by Sarah's statement. She cracked and the emotions all flowed out. She wasn't as strong as she thought. She was human. She started to cry.

The tears affected both John and Sarah. They teared up as well. Savannah was clearly in deep pain.

Sarah and John tried to calm her. It didn't work. It made it worse. They all felt it.

Cameron and Cammy arrived.

Cammy glared at everyone and gently picked Savannah up in her arms and carried her away. Savannah clung tightly to her. She cried harder as she comforted her.

John and Sarah were as elated with the news as they were appalled by Savannah's grief.

Sarah looked at Cameron.

"I would deactivate you myself for this, but Savannah swears you didn't do it." Sarah said. "I asked her three different times. She said you didn't know what she did."

Cameron regretted the whole incident of going into the future the way it happened. She never intended for Savannah to go with her. If she'd known Savannah was pregnant, she probably wouldn't have gone at all at that point. She would have known the baby was for her.

"I didn't know she was pregnant until we were in the other future. Savannah entered the energy bubble on her own accord as well. Both were done without my approval. I wouldn't have allowed either one to have happened." Cameron said. "I took care of her and I brought her back alive and safe. I was afraid the time transfer would hurt the baby. Duplicate Vanna is sterile. She can't carry a child to term. We tried several times 'in some future'. Savannah gave Hope to 'herself'."

Cameron was pretty sure Savannah gave hope to the whole future there. The work by Mrs. Weaver and the girls would change the direction the future there was headed. It would be a better place because of them. It appeared to her Mrs. Weaver really wanted to make a difference. It seemed to be more than just a matter of control or manipulation. It seemed she really wanted to 'fix' something which was broken. It was a challenge. It was a big one.

John and Cameron didn't think going over 'everything' Cameron said she did was the right thing to do now. It would probably be a little more than a 'Future Shock' to Sarah to hear it all.

Cameron was sure most of it wouldn't come to fruition. Much of it was in other futures and away from view. It was away from ridicule and criticism. Away from those who didn't understand. She was sure the finger would always end up pointed back at her.

John thought about what Savannah said twice. Sarah asked her if she was pregnant. She told him she did it again too. It all clicked right now.

WAIT!

'Did Savannah say she was pregnant now?' John wondered.

Sarah left. John and Cameron were alone. He wanted to get some straight answers. He wanted to use a tactful method to ask. The words seem to slip out of his mouth without any tact at all.

"Is Savannah pregnant again?" John asked.

Cameron's face showed a slight frown with his question. It was something she didn't approve of. There was a certain time factor which should have been respected before any such move was made again. It wasn't, it was ignored.

"Yes." Cameron said. "She did it again on her own. I told her to wait at least six months. She didn't listen. It will be hard on her body, but she's young and in near perfect health and fitness."

Cameron understood the human body was intended to reproduce at an early age. It was only a few hundred years ago when most humans died in their thirties. Everything needed to start earlier then. It was only through misguided social pressure when things changed in more recent times. The future would change all of it back to how nature intended it to be. The life span was again short. Females needed to try and reproduce as soon as they could. Their life was half over at that point. It was only if Skynet didn't cut it a little shorter.

John was aware Cammy was 'Cameron'. Maybe the blame should be placed on a different 'Cameron'. He wondered if things may not have purposely been done to keep him out of the equation personally. If Savannah was already pregnant again, there would be no need for him to be with her in a sexual manner.

"Is Cammy the one I should be angry at?" John asked. "Young teens her age shouldn't be on their second baby. It was just wrong on several levels."

Cameron didn't see why some people were hung up on age. It was just a number. People developed at all different mental levels regardless of 'age'. Some adults were little more than large children. A few of the people with misguided 'rules' didn't change human nature or instinct. Human nature would prevail in the end.

"It's something which happens everyday in the Third World or inner city. They are basically the same thing. It all needs to happen the same way in the future too." Cameron said. "The choice was Savannah's. You know this would only happen if it was her choice. Do you really want to be angry at her? I can't be. I love her too much. I still don't approve of it. I also understand she should have the right to choose what to do with her own body, when she wants to do it."

John wanted to be angry at someone, but it wasn't Savannah.

"No. I don't want to be angry at Savannah." John said. "She's the mother of my child. I can't believe it, I'm a father."

Cameron figured he better believe it. It was real. It happened, so did a lot of other things around there. She felt she exposed most of her backroom dealings to John already. There were probably other things she did which some would question as to their morality.

"A lot is hard to believe around here." Cameron said.

John didn't even want to think about most of them. It was true.

"You can say that again." John said.

"A lot is hard to believe around here." Cameron said.

John looked at Cameron and laughed.

Her head tilted slightly.

"Everything you do makes me love you more." John said.

Cameron smiled back at him. She wasn't really sure what was so funny….

Cammy carried Savannah back to her room. She was angry at everyone for dragging Savannah through everything again. Didn't they all know how hard it was on her? It took a lot for Savannah to face John and Sarah.

She knew she should have gone back with Cameron to the other future for Savannah. She should have returned in Cameron's place when Cameron came back for a few hours.

Cammy knew the time interval when the baby was born. She knew all the time transfer details. She thought about going forward in time to that future to bring Savannah back to this time period now two days before the baby was born. Savannah would go into labor as soon as the time transfer was done and have the baby there. Cameron would probably try and take the baby for herself. She wouldn't allow it to happen. The baby would be for Savannah and her.

Wait.

It would create a new timeline and a second Savannah in this timeline. The idea alone was an enticing prospect if there could be two of Savannah. It wouldn't go over very well with anyone.

She decided to comfort Savannah for now instead.

John returned to his room with Cameron.

A knock came at the door.

"Come in." Cameron said.

Jesse walked in, there was someone behind her.

John noted how Hot Jesse looked. Sure enough, she moved just right and a breast with a nipple ring popped out. She always knew how to do it when she wanted to. It seemed she 'wanted to' a lot when she was around John. She made no effort to return it to the interior of her top.

John's eyes were still transfixed on it when Jesse spoke.

"Is this the bloke who knocked me up?"

John's head popped up.

He saw who was behind Jesse when she entered now. Standing there next to Jesse was a younger version of Jesse. He instantly realized it was Young Jesse. Somehow she looked even Hotter.

Cameron noted the response Jesse, and then Young Jesse, seemed to have on John. She smiled at her 'handiwork'. It was a good development. It was everything she wanted for John for the future and to protect him. He would need smoking HOT females to keep him 'human'. Not machines which could go bad and turn on him, or get him assassinated. Machines which weren't 'good enough'…. John needed people he couldn't reprogram or send away. He needed people to stand up to him and challenge him. He needed people who made him rethink some of his decisions in the future. The human girls would be able to do it. They wouldn't be ordered or bossed around. They wouldn't be intimidated either.

John looked in back of Young Jesse. Standing in the doorway was 'Cameron'. No. Cameron was with him already. It must be Cammy or Cam. They all looked identical to Cameron. Only Ally was different and looked more like Allison.

"I'm Camille." She said. "I'm Jesse's 'partner'."

John still hadn't spoken…. He couldn't.

It was all a shock for John.

It was all a 'Future Shock'.

Closing monologue by Cameron:

Is This The Bloke

Who is anyone
Who is even who
Does anyone know what they do
What if they are after you

Everyone we meet
Is nothing but a stranger
They're full of unknowns
They may even create danger

Life is open ended
It is a never ending mystery
Take a wrong turn
One ends up as history

One must think
Before they take
What was once free
Soon becomes a mistake

Everything is serious
Nothing is a joke
Don't be left wondering
Is this the bloke

Nobody
