Chapter 489

Temporal Twins

Resistance Base - Current Timeline:

John and Cameron lay side by side in the bed resting, well, John was. They shared with each other like it was their wedding night again, at least to start out. Things always picked up afterwards. Cameron would turn her programming on after the initial encounter. It seemed to be what pleased both of them.

Cameron's sheath was recently repaired and enhanced with the frontal torso section off of Ginger. Her breasts were currently four times the volume, with super pink nipples, compared to how they were before she was damaged. It was a big difference. They both found the 'upgrade' rewarding and worthy of extra 'attention'.

John rested some, but it also gave him time to reflect. It wasn't always a good thing. He knew their relationship deteriorated a lot since they were first married. What they shared earlier was a way to revisit those earlier and happier times. There was a lot of water under the bridge since then. There were a lot of things coursing through his head. He didn't know if he wanted to address them or not. Usually it created even more animosity when he tried. He gazed up at the ceiling.

"Cameron, what's happening to us?" John asked.

Cameron glanced over and looked away. She pondered the same question herself. Other than what they just shared, they continued to grow apart, not closer. It was the curse of most married couples. No one stayed in the same spot forever. They either moved backwards, forwards, or sideways. It was usually a different direction than the one they were once close to. Everyone was open to something different, even if just to try it. Many thought the grass was always greener on the other side of the hill. It seldom seemed to be the case. She could only think of one explanation. It was something they couldn't stop, even if they could manipulate it somewhat.

"Time is what's happening. The clock keeps on ticking. it moves ahead, even if we don't." Cameron said. "We're growing up. We're growing 'hungry'."

John turned his head and looked at Cameron. He was a little surprised at her statement.

"We're growing 'hungry' for what?" John asked.

Cameron thought of her earlier desire to take Savannah and Future Allison and run with them into the past somewhere. They would leave the present and future behind. They would be able to get away from it all. They wouldn't be returning either. It was a one way ticket to freedom. She wasn't so sure it was the desire for something more, or just to experience different things.

"We're growing 'hungry' for 'more'." Cameron said. "That's how life works."

John frowned. He liked how things used to be. He was able to have sex with Cameron three or four times a day. She would do whatever he asked, including some things she didn't want to do. Then things dropped off over time. Sometimes they went weeks without sharing. Cameron always told him 'others were available' to meet his sexual needs. He knew she wanted him to be with some of the human females to 'protect' him against the anti-Metal faction of the Resistance. He wanted it too, but he also thought it would 'hurt' her if he did. It was the only reason he hadn't. He'd been close more than a few times.

He understood the allure of others. Even if someone wasn't looking for someone else or something extra, sometimes things just seemed to happen. He didn't want to think of his encounter with Future Riley, but he couldn't help it. He learned later it was initially orchestrated by Future Jesse to further her agenda against Cameron. He knew things took off and exploded between them, regardless of each of their hidden agendas. What would have happened if there wouldn't have been Future Riley in his life? How would things have played out?

"Why?" John asked. "Why can't everything stay the same?"

Cameron was bored now. She was full of John's seed which was wasted inside of her. His little soldiers would all die trying to find their counterpart. It would never be there in her. Everything inside of her was a dead end. She was a machine. She wanted something 'more' out of life. She didn't want to lose what was already there, sometimes it was just hard to see. If she didn't feel the need to protect John and the future, she would have moved on long ago. She understood she was a victim of her programming. She needed to do what someone else wanted her to do. The chaos in her mind was created by others for their own reasons.

"We keep growing and expanding as individuals." Cameron said. "It's just in different directions."

John felt it too. To see Future Allison with Savannah did make him want more. He wanted Savannah's virginity and her love. He wanted sex with Future Allison. He would take her love too if it was offered. The sex would be good enough for him though. He would really like to give it a go. He wanted to see what was different between Future Allison and Cameron. He wanted to know the physical difference. He already knew there was an emotional difference. He didn't think there was a bridge which could ever be built to have Cameron compared to Future Allison in the emotional department.

"I feel it too." John said. "Neither one of us is who we were when all this started."

John knew in Cameron's poems she talked about how people keep growing. It wasn't together, but apart. As each grows, they still seek to expand. Each one not only wants more, they NEED more. Water which doesn't flow and remains in the same place, often becomes foul and stagnant. It seemed relationships were the same way.

Cameron spent time in the past and in the future, four different futures. She existed much longer than him during the same period of time for him. Her eyes were opened to many different and new things. She didn't think the changes she felt were necessarily John's fault. It was Future John's fault for programming her to 'take care of things' for his younger self. She was an individual now. She wasn't just a scary robot from the future who was programmed to follow orders and not question them. She did question them. She questioned everything. She possessed much more experience than John did during the same time period based on her temporal activity.

"I've already lived additional years, John, outside your timeline." Cameron said. "I've found other things I want to have. There are other things I want to try. I'm afraid when I do, it will be the direction my life heads."

John didn't think morals meant much to Cameron. They didn't to him. He thought they were artificial barriers created by others, usually in regards to their own previous personal actions. He believed the nature of most animals on the planet was the same, including humans. There was no leash on Cameron, other than the one which existed within her mind.

"So what's stopping you?" John asked.

Cameron was frustrated at this juncture. She looked over at John.

"NOTHING, that's the point." Cameron said. "I believe I've done ALL of them in multiple lifetimes. I believe I HAVE done everything I want, and have ever wanted to do. I have no proof it actually occurred. I just feel it has."

Cameron really wished she knew the answer to all of it, or at least the truth, one way or the other. If it never really happened, she would like to know. She could put all of those thoughts behind her and move on with her life. If she wanted those events to happen, she would need to make it happen herself.

John was a little jealous to hear her explanation. He wanted to be with the human girls and the other Metal girls. They all seemed willing and ready for him. He wanted the thrill of being with new partners. He knew everyone was different. They all brought something to the table. He was pretty sure any encounter with Cam, Cammy, or Camille, even if they were program clones, along with sheath clones of Cameron, the experience would be different. It would be a thrill to try something different. He believed Cameron was presented with plenty of opportunity to do so.

"So what is the problem?" John asked. "It sounds like you have the best of all worlds."

Cameron turned her face away from him and back up to the ceiling. It offended her less to not see him. She felt a glitch impulse but suppressed it. She was very frustrated at how the same everything was. Even if she wanted more, and thought about it, it didn't seem to matter. She always ended up in the same place, with the same thing.

"Somehow I'm always here with you." Cameron said.

John looked at Cameron's face. She seemed very alone in her thoughts.

"Is it a bad thing?" John asked.

Cameron turned her head and looked at John. The nature of their association bothered her immensely. She put the blame on herself, not John.

"Yes." Cameron said. "It's bad for you because I'm taking from you."

John felt Cameron added to his life. He didn't think she took anything away.

"What are you taking from me?" John asked.

Cameron felt very frustrated right now. It seemed she was on a dead end street, with no way out. Every direction she turned, there was no road or path out. She was stuck. She was sure she subtracted more to John's life than what could be added to it. She felt like a thief. She stole John's future from him. She stole his proper future from him. She was like a cancer in John's life.

"I'm taking your future, your life, and your freedom." Cameron said. "I'm not helping you, I'm hurting you."

John held Cameron's gaze.

"Cameron…?" John asked.

She knew the look.

"Yes?" Cameron asked.

She knew what was coming next. It was something she would like to avoid. It was one of the reasons she would disappear for days at a time. It was one of the reasons she wouldn't be where she was right now for weeks at a time. She did what she needed to do, when she needed to do it. It seemed to be something Nobody could understand.

John was very worried about Cameron. She was only gone from the base for a few days but he knew a lot happened in her future. She was there for almost a year

"Can you tell me why you needed to have most of your frontal sheath replaced?" John asked. "I mean I like it and everything, the 'twins' are really nice, but you must have been damaged."

Cameron looked away from John.

"No." Cameron said.

John needed a better answer.

"No. What?" John asked.

Cameron didn't say anything for a long time. She finally spoke.

"No. I can't tell you." Cameron said.

John knew Cameron was deeply troubled by whatever she needed to say. It seemed to him it was going to be more than one thing. He was sure it was a multitude of them.

There was a lot on her mind. She didn't know how to express everything. It was Savannah's love for her which troubled her. She was going to get Savannah killed. If Savannah was terminated, it would mean she was as well.

"John, one time I won't come back. It seems to be getting closer, more and more often." Cameron said. "It was because of Savannah I made it back this time. John, she stayed to die with me…. She gave up her life and future to stay and die with me. Her love meant more than her life. She could have simply left me and lived, instead she stayed to die. It wasn't what I wanted. Nobody needs to die for me. I'm simply not worth it."

Cameron couldn't understand it. Why would anyone care about her, or if she was terminated? How was all their love so strong, pure and true? There must be more to all of it she didn't understand. There were a lot of things she didn't understand.

She knew 'love' was really in a person's mind and often expressed physically. It was often through some sexual act, but love itself didn't actually exist. It was one of the most powerful forces on earth, and it was not really there. It was all in the mind.

Cameron said nothing for a long while. Cammy told her to take the 'win'. Maybe she should and let it all go. It was Cammy and Future Allison as well. Neither one of them should have been there, especially Future Allison.

"Future Allison came too, to get me." Cameron said. "We destroyed Skynet."

Cameron paused.

John thought there was going to be more but there wasn't. He decided to move the conversation on a little.

"I think it all sounds like a good thing." John said.

Cameron knew what she felt. It was guilt. There was a positive side to it as well. She was sure it happened.

"John, they were both there because I wouldn't have come back without them being there." Cameron said. "I love both of them, John. I love, love them. In one timeline, I take both of them and we go back a hundred years and live our lives together, the three of us."

John didn't really understand this part. There needed to be some type of proof. There never was any.

"Do you know it for a fact?" John asked.

Cameron believed she experienced a 'flashback'. She was able to visualize their graves in a cemetery. She saw the markers, their tombstones.

My Beloved Allison - Young forever and forever Young….

My Beloved Savannah - Weaver of love into hearts and minds….

"I saw their graves." Cameron said. "I buried them as old women."

John thought it was pretty conclusive. It meant they should be able to actually go and visit the site, unless it ended up creating a different timeline which probably is exactly what happened.

"Do you know where they're buried?" John asked.

Cameron frowned. She was disappointed. She wanted to know more. There never was anymore.

"No." Cameron said. "Everything is erased. I can only find fragments."

John saw things as maybe being a little deeper. He was aware she experienced what could be referred to as nightmares before. Maybe what was there as fragments were more of the same.

"Cameron, what if this is all a Skynet 'trick?'" John asked.

Cameron looked away from him. It was a thought which crossed her mind millions of times. There was never an answer.

"I don't know, John." Cameron said. "I don't know."

John noted Cameron's hand started to glitch. He felt so small next to her. He wanted to do something for her. It seemed he was never able to do so. It always left him a little more than frustrated.

"How can I fix it for you, Cameron?" John asked.

Cameron saw the beauty of things in her future.

"I want what Future John has, for you and ME." Cameron said.

John didn't say anything for a while.

"I want what will make you happy." John said.

Cameron thought of what John did before. He ran off with THAT Riley - Future Riley, after he reminded her she was a machine.

"I'm a machine, John. I can't be happy…." Cameron said and started to cry.

Young Residence - Current Timeline:

Cammy called ahead to let them know at the Young residence they were on their way to Palmdale.

Holly was ready for them. She heard the SUV pull up. She looked out the window. She was excited.

"They're here." Holly said.

Allison noted how anxious Holly was as they waited. Now she looked elated. She was sure Future Allison would out shine her based upon everything she heard.

"Great." Allison said. "Future Allison is going to be everything I'm not."

Vanna looked at Allison. It bothered her to see her so down over 'herself'. She didn't see the need for any self degradation.

"You're beautiful how you are, Allison." Vanna said.

Allison heard all about Future Allison. She didn't think she could measure up.

"They say she's younger than me." Allison said. "I think she's prettier too."

Vanna didn't like all the drama. She heard the stories too.

"Relax." Vanna said. "It's still you, even if it's not."

Vanna figured Allison could be, or do, anything Future Allison could, well, except get younger. The part about Future Allison being younger is what really intrigued her.

Allison wanted Vanna to have a 'better' version of her. She was with Savannah. She was a younger unspoiled version of Vanna. She felt guilty and wanted to be fair. It would also give her the opportunity to further expand her sexual horizons down the road.

"Vanna, if you want her…. It's OK." Allison said. "It's still 'me'. You deserve a better version of me."

Vanna knew Savannah and Future Allison already bonded. She was older and 'damaged'. She was used goods.

"Future Savannah is younger than me. Our Savannah is 'hanging out' with Future Allison already. She won't want me." Vanna said. "Nobody does."

Cam looked away when Vanna said it. She didn't agree with her.

Allison loved Vanna. She seemed even more down than she was.

"It's not true." Allison said. "I want you. I love you."

Cam and Holly looked at each other when Allison said it.

Holly opened the door and stood back.

"I've been waiting for you." Holly said.

Future Allison followed Cammy in.

"Wait no more." Future Allison said. "Hello, again."

Savannah brought up the rear.

Vanna's heart skipped a beat. Future Allison was a total knock out. She was HOT.

Future Allison stood before Vanna. They just looked at each other. They both saw their 'lover' in the other. They looked each other over in detail.

Allison felt inferior as she watched.

Future Allison reached out and pulled Vanna in. She gave her a deep kiss. Vanna kissed her back. So far words were unnecessary.

Allison was jealous.

"Hello, Allison. I'm Allison too." Allison said. "Do I get one?"

Future Allison moved over and looked at Allison. They eyed each other. They looked each other over carefully. They liked what they saw.

"Hell - YES." Future Allison said and kissed Allison as well. "I always wanted a twin. Here is someone who knows everything I like and everything I want. The best part is we don't even need to discuss it to know. I think it presents quite an opportunity."

They both knew in that instant what they were 'like'. They wanted to know more. It was unspoken but felt.

"You name it." Allison said.

Future Allison smiled.

"That's just it, we already know." Future Allison said.

Allison realized she didn't just want Vanna to have a better version of herself. She wanted a better version of herself. Maybe things were going to work out a little better than she originally thought they would.

Claire was in the kitchen.

"Allison." Claire said as she came over.

They gave each other a very close firm hug.

"Mama - Mom." Future Allison said. "Where's Dad?"

Claire frowned a little. Things weren't what they used to be. She couldn't help but feel it was mostly her fault. It actually wasn't, but she still felt as if it was.

"He'll be by later." Claire said.

Savannah saw someone else follow Claire into the room. She looked at Allison and Future Allison and felt a little guilty. She knew she jumped the gun already.

Future Allison followed Savannah's gaze and understood.

"Who is this stunning young beauty?" Future Allison asked.

Future Allison knew who it was.

"Hello, I'm Allison." Young Allison said.

Future Allison reached out and hugged her. She wondered if she ever looked as pretty. Young Allison looked like a younger version of Cameron, not her.

"I'm Allison too. I guess you see a lot of 'me'." Future Allison said. "You're so beautiful. You're an angel."

Young Allison could see Future Allison was different from Allison.

"Thank You." Young Allison said. "You're very pretty. You're like Cameron."

Future Allison looked at her tight schoolgirl body. The urge to 'start over' welled up inside of her. If only she could switch places, with what she knew now.

"I'd give anything to be you again." Future Allison whispered to her.

Two others entered the room. One held the other.

"This is Summer." Hanna said as walked up holding her.

Future Allison looked Hanna over. She looked like Vanna and Future Savannah, but even better. It seemed to her things just kept getting better and better.

Claire came over and took Hanna's arm. She wanted to make her position known.

"Look at her." Future Allison said as she took Summer. "She's almost as big as Allison."

Future Allison could see her mother's cyborg lover looked a lot like her lover. She leaned over to Claire.

"I guess it runs in the family." Future Allison whispered.

She then gave Hanna a 'once over' look as she took Summer away.

It was the first time Future Allison saw 'Hanna' in her own chassis. She was with Hanna in Holly's chassis as well as with Holly herself.

'Damn, she 's Hot.' Hanna thought.

Hanna followed Future Allison with her eyes as she walked away with Summer. She would really like to be with her in her chassis. She wasn't sure if maybe she preferred her in Holly's chassis. She actually didn't care what chassis she was in if she could be with Future Allison again. Cameron and Savannah really made Future Allison look Tight.

Cam and Holly were a little nervous with everything as it unfolded. It seemed future Allison was in control without really even trying.

"How can anyone compete with her?" Cam asked Holly.

Holly didn't care. She looked at Future Allison with love in her eyes.

"Isn't she wonderful…." Holly said as a statement and left.

Holly followed Future Allison and Hanna with Summer.

Allison looked at Vanna's eyes as they followed Future Allison.

Vanna noticed Allison caught her 'eyeing' Future Allison. She just couldn't help it.

"I'm sorry." Vanna said.

Allison was just as thrilled and infatuated with Future Allison as everyone else. The kiss still resonated with her. She wanted more. She could see they all did.

"No, it's OK, really." Allison said. "I want her myself. Mom told me about her. She 'low balled' the estimate. I think she is the daughter my Mom always wanted."

Savannah watched everyone and everything unfold. It was clear Future Allison was desired by everyone.

"And they said I was the 'Chosen One'." Savannah said.

Cammy looked at Savannah. She wanted her to remember her true place.

"You are." Cammy said as her gaze shifted to Young Allison. "And so is she."

Cammy smiled at Young Allison and picked her up as she glanced at Savannah.

"You both are. You are both the future." Cammy said.

Young Allison knew only a Metal girl could still pick her up. She was almost as tall as Savannah now, well, sort of.

"I'm getting too big for this." Young Allison said as she looked at all the females. Her eyes stopped on Savannah. "I know a lot…."

Savannah felt even guiltier now. Young Allison was to be her mate and she jumped the gun and was with her 'older' selves. They were all the same person.

Future Allison could see Savannah was uneasy. She stepped in to help her out. She smiled at Young Allison.

"Your future will be wonderful." Future Allison said. "I can guarantee it."

It brought a round of smiles and giggles from everyone.

Claire took it all in. She knew Cameron could take anyone she wanted anytime. She just watched Future Allison and realized she could too. No wonder Cameron was so desirable, Future Allison was too. She saw it in the future, and she saw it here too.

In the future, Claire heard from Future Allison how Cameron worked with her for nearly a year to 'remake' her in Cameron's own image.

Claire thought back on an exchange with Cameron.

Cameron asked Claire if she could take Young Allison and her into the past for a few years. They would leave there one day, and come back the same day, a few years older.

"Do you mean just the three of us?" Claire asked. "What about Summer?"

Claire didn't want to be away from Summer for so long even if it was only a day there.

"Let me 'borrow' either one of them for a day, Claire, and I will return to you the same day the most beautiful, highly educated, and intelligent young women you've ever seen." Cameron said. "They will be PERFECT. I won't make them perfect. I will allow them to find the perfection in themselves."

Claire understood her girls would be all grown up then. In just one day.

"You're serious?" Claire asked.

Cameron looked at her and tilted her head slightly.

"When am I not serious?" Cameron asked somewhat confused.

Cammy could see the girls wanted to share. Maybe it was best if they took the two younger girls away for a short time.

"Cam and I are going to take Young Allison and Summer to the park." Cammy said. "We'll be gone for a few hours."

Future Allison knew what was about to happen. She wanted to be with Cam and Cammy too. They were like Her Cameron.

"Really?" Future Allison asked. "You're both 'Cameron' right? You're both an 'older version' of her? Can one of you 'stay'?"

Cam and Cammy both stepped forward.

"I will." Cammy and Cam said at the same time.

Claire knew what everyone wanted. There was another option.

"Let me ask Steve or Dan if they can take them to the park. They like to get out when they're on Detail Duty." Claire said. "Then we all can stay…."

"Thanks." Cammy and Cam said at the same time.

Future Allison looked around the room with hungry eyes. This was even better than Savannah told her. It was the finest selection of females she ever saw. It didn't matter if some of them were Terminators. None of them were hurt or sick. They were all healthy and vibrant. How could any of them look more beautiful?

"I need to get out more often." Future Allison said. "This place is like Heaven. Just think, a short while ago I stood next to a nuclear bomb seconds from exploding, now look at me - US…."

Life was good in Paradise.

Closing monologue by Cameron:

Twins

Love that was once found
Is love that is eventually lost
Was whatever happened in between
Worth the final mental cost

It seems unlikely
That it was worth the trouble
The pain is magnified
Much more than double

One is unsure where it started
Or where it actually will end
For life to move forward
What message does it send

Maybe it is better
For one to remain lost
For when they are found
What will be the cost

Everyone must be held accountable
For their own transgressions and sins
Things are magnified double
When it involves twins

Nobody
