Chapter 547

Going To Happen

Cameron was worried because Savannah wasn't at one hundred percent. It was her fault. Now Savannah was out with only Bob and her. If something went wrong, they were at a major disadvantage. She would need to make sure nothing went wrong. It would be a steep order to fulfill.

She knew Savannah wanted to go with her. The only reason she didn't was because she knew she wasn't back up to speed yet and she might endanger her because of it. It gave her something to think about. Savannah didn't want to be the one responsible for her ending up in a jam. Savannah put her before herself, again.

Cameron was on the move. It was time to breach the compound. She knew she needed to focus. If she did her job and kept everything as a recon, Savannah would be protected. It was very important to her. Those three purple welts on Savannah's torso happened because she was the one who was careless. Savannah paid the price. Savannah also saved her life. The 'Metal Bitch' almost terminated her. Savannah saved her, again.

She was more than a little dismayed when she found out the chip from the Metal Bitch self destructed. She would have liked to have found a lot more out about her. The Metal Bitch attempted to terminate her twice. Savannah was able to thwart both of the attacks. On the first attack the Metal Bitch tried to overload her power cell. On the second attempt the Metal Bitch tried to rip her head off. She would really like to have been able to tear her program apart a bit at a time, as it was plugged into an isolated computer.

She needed to focus on where she was currently, otherwise what she just thought about might happen again. There was always the potential for there to be one or more Skynet Terminators at every location they visited.

There was a single gate with a guard for all vehicles which entered or left the compound. It was fenced as well. The fence went around the entire perimeter. It was somewhat unusual since it was in a rather remote location. There were no other buildings or structures anywhere around it.

She needed to go in over the fence. She knew it would leave her exposed for a few seconds. She continued along the perimeter. Maybe she could find a better way in. There was one spot where she thought she might have a better point of entry.

Cameron came across a shallow drainage ditch. It ran under the fence. She knew of the spot from the satellite photos she contained in her files. She wasn't sure what the drainage ditch passed through. She'd hoped for an unobstructed opening. She was a little disappointed when she reached the spot. An easy entry wouldn't be the case. There were six metal poles driven into the ground at the opening of the shallow depression where it went under the fence. She didn't detect any type of wiring on any of them. She quickly looked around and bent several of the small poles out of the way and slipped under the fence. She quickly returned the poles to the condition she found them. There was no need to alert anyone if the intrusion was spotted. She didn't know if there was a roving patrol. If there was, she hadn't spotted it yet. It didn't mean there wasn't one.

She stayed close to the ground as she rapidly moved along the shallow ditch. She followed it until she reached a small parking lot. She heard a car start up near her. She peered around the side of a parked car. A female drove past her and headed out. She watched as the female neared the guard shack. The gate lifted and she drove out. There was no check or inspection. She knew these people were sloppy. It was good for her.

Cameron made a visual record of the car and female which left. She may need to track her down later. If she was a Gray, she would be terminated. As it was, she was a collaborator. Depending on what was actually happening inside would determine the extent of her culpability. As far as she knew right now, the female could be the cleaning lady. She didn't want to terminate the mother of three children who was out trying to keep a roof over their head and food in their stomachs. It was possible she didn't know what was actually going on inside of the building. They could lie to her and tell her it was a secret government project and she wouldn't be any the wiser. It would be another lead she would need to run down later on. The female's actions would be what determined her fate, not her.

She made it through the parking area. She put the building between her and the guard at the gate. She approached the side of the structure. She neared a corner. She looked back up to the small hill they parked behind. She could see Savannah observe her with a pair of binoculars as Bob set up some surveillance equipment next to her. She wondered if she should blow Savannah a kiss or keep it professional.

Cameron was very pleased with Savannah. She knew Savannah was always there for her. When Cammy was about to deactivate her earlier in the day, Savannah was there for her. It really wasn't who she expected to see. She was certain Cammy would have deactivated her, but not terminated her. Somehow Savannah appeared from nowhere and stopped the entire incident. She asked them not to do it again. She didn't order them.

She desired the emotional love Savannah could offer her over the physical love John provided her with. She decided to throw professionalism to the wind. She blew Savannah a kiss and disappeared around the corner. She would need to take it slow and easy. She didn't want to endanger Savannah and make her come down to assist her. There was no doubt in her mind she would, no matter what the odds were.

Bob saw the deep concern Savannah silently expressed for Cameron. He didn't think there was a physical relationship between them. Maybe there was. It was clear to him Savannah's love radiated from deep within her. It was more than the physical gratification most people shared. It was an emotional bond which existed between them. He wanted to help ease her mind.

"Cameron will use caution." Bob said.

Bob wasn't sure his answer was very reassuring as soon as he said it.

Savannah scanned the area again as she searched for any signs someone was alerted to Cameron's presence. There was no indication so far. She still searched as she responded to Bob. She didn't have the same confidence he did. She was sure Cameron would escalate the situation and take all the heat herself, so she wouldn't have to. Most likely Cameron would end up taking even more risks than usual to try to keep her safe.

"I don't know, Bob." Savannah said. "I worry about her."

Bob was still amazed at the video presentation John Henry and CamNet put together. Never was there anyone he encountered who was like Savannah. He felt he needed to say something about it.

"Savannah, I've seen the files of you with Cameron fighting for your lives." Bob said. "You've done extraordinary things and saved Cameron more than once. I know it's been at a great risk to you to do so. Everything you have done has been both admirable and honorable in every regard. Thank you for protecting Cameron. You must also protect yourself."

Savannah frowned. She wasn't sure she wanted people to see her in combat. She felt she did what was necessary at the time and nothing more.

"I did what anyone would do." Savannah said.

Bob knew it was more than what most would do. He thought it was driven by love. He wanted to know how an unseen force could be so powerful. It was something which always amazed him.

"Did you do it because of love?" Bob asked. "Did you do it because you love her?"

Savannah didn't answer. She didn't know if there was an answer. It was more than her love. She was somewhat at a loss for words. The simple answer would be, yes. It needed more than a simple answer.

Bob could see he may have overstepped with his question. Love was a very personal thing. He was sure he must have asked the wrong question. He wanted to apologize.

"I'm sorry." Bob said. "I didn't mean to intrude. My programming is very limited in such a regard."

Savannah felt a deeper calling than her own love or even her desires. There was more to it. It radiated out of Cameron to her, even if Cameron didn't always express it verbally. It was the connection between them from the very beginning which was different from everyone else.

"I don't know, Bob. It's more than my love for her." Savannah said. "Cameron NEEDS me. I did it because she loves me."

Bob tilted his head slightly. He wasn't sure what it meant. Maybe it was because a machine was able to love which made it special. He wasn't sure what love was. He knew he felt different towards Savannah than he did the other girls. He felt different still for the men. Maybe he felt for Savannah what he felt for Cameron. It was a different feeling inside of him. He was sure he knew where Savannah's future would lead her.

"One day you will be her mate." Bob said. "It's the 'Natural Order'. I've seen it with my own eyes."

Bob was in Cameron's future. He did see it. He also knew some of his files were erased from the trip. The strange thing was, he erased them himself. It meant he needed to do it on his own free will. It would have to be something very important to him, or someone he cared about, to do it. It was a part of his existence which was gone forever. He knew a lot of Cameron's early files were erased as well. She was very troubled by it. He wasn't sure what he was a part of, involved with, or witnessed. It must have been something of great magnitude. He could only speculate whatever it was, was something someone 'fixed' so whatever he knew or witnessed didn't actually happen, even if it did.

Savannah was very conflicted at times. Sure there was Cammy, or any of the other girls, available to her at any time she would want someone. It was as simple as asking. No one would turn her down. She wanted to be with Allison because she felt Young Allison should be older in everyone else's eyes. Maybe it was her 'hang up'. Young Allison always said she was 'old enough'. Maybe she was. Maybe she should 'take' what was hers and leave it at that. Allison belonged to Vanna. Future Allison belonged to Future Savannah. It was all very complicated at times. If she was with John, it would 'hurt' Cameron. If she was with Cameron, she was sure Cameron would fixate on her and shun John. It would disrupt the 'Natural Order' and probably interfere with Young Allison as well.

"I know my place in the future. I won't back away from it." Savannah said. "I can't hurt Cameron to take it. I almost did. Cameron is the most important thing to me. I don't know if it is wrong or not. It's the way I feel."

Savannah thought back to John's naked body over hers. She was one second away from becoming a 'woman'. She was so close to what they ALL wanted. If John wouldn't have been in such a hurry and bounced around on the outside, it would have happened. She was really ready for him at that point. She at least wouldn't still be a virgin. The base alarm changed all of it, for now.

Bob was sure Cameron would want Savannah's love more than anything. He worried it would change the outcome of the future. He understood how obsessive Cameron could become at times. He heard her announcement the other day on the PA system.

"If you don't take your place, Cameron will take you…." Bob said. "John and Young Allison will lose both of you."

Bob realized John and Young Allison would have each other then.

Savannah worried about it too. She was sure once she shared physically with Cameron, everything would change. Cameron would want her love all for herself and shun everyone else. She would need to forsake everyone else too, to keep Cameron from experiencing what she did with John and Future Riley. She would do it for Cameron's benefit. Cameron was the most important person in her life. It was as confusing as it was overwhelming to her.

"I don't know what to do." Savannah said.

Bob scanned the landscape. He looked over at Savannah. He was sure she would make the proper choices when they were needed. Cameron told all of them Savannah would always make the right choice. He didn't see the current situation as anything different.

"Actually, you do." Bob said. "You have a heart. Listen to it. It's time to step up."

Savannah looked at the corner where Cameron disappeared around. There was no sign of her. There hadn't been any gunfire so it was a good thing. Wait. Maybe the guards carried Tasers. Now she was worried even more.

She considered Bob's words. If it was in reference to Cameron, she didn't believe it was her who needed to step up. If it was in reference to John, and she almost did. If it was a reference to Young Allison, she did need to step up. If anything, she was holding Young Allison back.

"I'll think about it." Savannah said.

Bob knew what he saw with his own eyes. He literally saw the future. It may be one future, but it was Cameron's future.

"There is nothing to think about." Bob said. "It is 'written'."

Savannah continued to scan the area. She looked further into the distance with the binoculars. She felt a slight surge of adrenaline. Something was different. There was a new element of suspense.

"I see a big rig approaching." Savannah said. "Maybe something is about to happen."

Bob quickly looked in the direction Savannah did. There was very little traffic on the road. It was a remote location. He zoomed in on the vehicle and calculated its speed.

"It may pass by." Bob said. "I don't see it's slowing down."

Savannah watched it speed past the gate. Maybe she was too keyed up.

"It went by the entrance and stayed on the main road." Savannah said.

Bob instantly became alert. He looked up and around them and then back to the structure Cameron went to enter.

"GET DOWN." Bob said.

There was the unmistakable sound of an HK drone. It just suddenly was there.

Savannah didn't see anywhere to take cover. They would be exposed and out in the open when the HK drone spotted them.

Young Allison wanted 'more'. She was 'old enough' to move her life forward. She wanted to know what she was supposed to do to make things happen. Anna was the perfect one to ask.

"Tell me about the future again." Young Allison said. "I want to know about MY future. I know your program has seen it, even if you haven't yourself. It's the same thing."

Anna looked quickly at Young Allison. Since she ran Cameron's program, and Cammy's program, she did see the future from two different cyborgs who both ran the same base program as her. She knew what Young Allison wanted. The 'Savannah' in her didn't want to go there. She would deflect the question.

"No." Anna said. "The future is ugly."

Young Allison frowned. She knew Anna didn't want to be 'blamed' for any action she decided to take on her own. She was more than ready for Savannah. She would also try it once with John, just to see what it was like. Most of the things she read indicated it wouldn't be very pleasant, at least initially. Another negative factor established the fact few females were ever fulfilled on their 'first time' with a male.

It was a different story for almost all of the shared female experiences on the 'first time'. They were all pleasant and most were fulfilling for both of the female participants. She knew the Terminators, John Henry, and CamNet all would know what she looked at on her computer, laptop, tablet, and phone. No one ever said a word to her, so she figured she was on the right track. She wanted to know more about 'herself'.

"You've seen MY future through both Cameron and Savannah." Young Allison said. "You're 'Cameron' and 'Savannah' combined."

It was a statement of fact.

Anna could plug in and show Young Allison her video files. Some of them were very graphic. Cameron did her share of snooping too. She spied on everyone at some point. She didn't want to go there. While her program may be somewhat unique, at the end of the day, she was still what she was.

"In a way, yes I am." Anna said. "I'm still a machine."

It didn't mean anything negative to Young Allison. Terminators were another form of life. They were just like mechanical humans to her. She witnessed all the drama around her house. Maybe the only real difference was the Metal girls didn't need to sleep. They often sought out each other while the humans slept. It seemed like an efficient and pleasurable use of time to her. She spied on them too. She knew what to do with a female, even if she never actually did it yet. If someone was a cyborg, it wasn't a 'hang up' for her like it was some people.

"So are Holly and Hanna." Young Allison said. "So is Cameron…."

The 'Cameron' in Anna was very elated by her revelation.

"I'm pleased it doesn't bother you." Anna said.

Young Allison wondered how it could bother her. She remembered there was always a Metal girl around the house since she was little. She wasn't little anymore. The 'men' who watched over her were Terminators. They were like men to her except they were nice. They didn't stare at her 'private parts' when she went out. All the men on the outside did. It always drove Allison crazy when others looked at her. She was glad Allison didn't kill anyone. It may be due to the way Cameron dressed her.

Cameron always insisted she look Tight whenever she left the house, or if they knew visitors would arrive. She always did, especially when John would be around, or she would visit the Resistance base. John really looked at her too. She didn't mind. She wanted it for some reason from him. She used all her 'sex appeal' as well. She didn't know she 'heard' it every night as she slept. Her 'desire' for John was what she heard for years as she slept and was 'conditioned' by Cameron and the Metal girls. She was unaware of it. She wanted to know more.

"Holly and Hanna were both in the future too as 'one' in Holly's chassis. They told me all about it." Young Allison said. "I want to know more."

The 'Savannah' in Anna was alarmed. She issued the standard reply.

"You're too young yet to worry about any of it." Anna said. "I will have to have a discussion with them."

Young Allison felt the only thing young about her was her last name. She was aware other females her age were 'active'. It didn't seem to be a big deal for them, why should it be for her? It was the way society worked. If she lived in the Inner City, things would have happened years ago. She needed to think about her discussion with the Metal girls. She didn't want to get anyone in trouble. She was given the same 'power' Savannah possessed with the machines, John Henry and CamNet. She may have abused it some.

"Don't, I 'ordered' them to tell me. They wouldn't have done it otherwise." Young Allison said. "I've heard Cameron speak with my mother before about 'some things'."

Anna was worried what it might be. She quickly searched her 'Cameron' files. She knew it was about Claire having more children. It would be one for John and Cameron, as well as another one for Claire. John would be the father of both. There would be a traditional conception for both of them as well. It would force Young Allison to 'step up' if she didn't want her mother to give her brother or sister to Cameron and John. Young Allison would be able to provide Cameron with the child she really wanted. It was her child with John. She didn't want to encourage Cameron's agenda.

"Cameron was careless." Anna said. "It wasn't meant for you to hear."

Young Allison doubted it. She knew how Cameron thought. Cameron didn't make mistakes like that. Cameron would always know where she was at when she was there. She felt it was a 'prompt'. It was up to her how or when to act on it.

"Wasn't it?" Young Allison asked. "Remember, Cameron is patterned after ME. She's interfaced with 'me' when I'm older in her future. I'm part of her. I'm part of you…. Every 'Allison' started with ME. They were all ME, even if they no longer are."

Anna wanted to shift the 'blame' away from Cameron.

"It sounds like someone needs reprogramming." Anna said as she looked for Holly and Hanna.

Young Allison 'held' a few of her own cards to play. She'd learned from Cameron she always needed a few 'aces' to play when they were needed.

"Don't be silly." Young Allison said. "You can't reprogram Savannah."

Anna wasn't sure it was true. She might be able to check if Savannah said anything specific.

"Savannah told you that?" Anna asked.

Anna began to search her 'Savannah' programming.

"Yes." Young Allison said. "She's told me how her life changed and how her future, our future came to be."

Anna didn't want to have the discussion.

"This isn't a subject for your experience level." Anna said. "Some may think it's inappropriate."

Young Allison laughed. Her physical age and her mental age were two vastly different things. Her emotional age was somewhere in between. It was the one she hoped to expand.

"Relax." Young Allison said. "I'm doing school work on a college level. I understand more than you think, all of you, except Savannah. She knows. She's like me and I'm like her. She doesn't want me to be held back like she was."

Anna knew it was true. Young Allison learned about the 'birds and the bees' years ago. She was educated far beyond her physical years. Education wise, Young Allison was in her mid to late twenties. Her physical age lagged a decade behind it. It seemed Young Allison was after something specific. It was time the games ended.

"What do you want?" Anna asked.

Young Allison was ready to play hardball.

"You're my protector - correct?" Young Allison asked.

Anna was Young Allison's guardian. She wasn't to be her lover, not yet anyway. Savannah was the one who would control when the events happened.

"It's one of my functions." Anna said.

Young Allison wanted to 'probe' Anna.

"Do you have to obey me?" Young Allison asked.

Anna was required to follow any 'order' given by Savannah and Young Allison by extension. She wanted to be a little less than truthful. There were some things she could question if it seemed appropriate. No one should be forced to have any type of sexual encounter if it wasn't what they desired, regardless of any order. It was about what was right, over what was commanded.

"I have discretion not to." Anna said.

Young Allison rolled the dice. She wanted her future now.

"I want you to take me into the past, or future, for a few years and bring me back to now." Young Allison said. "It's what both Cameron and Savannah want. It's also what John will want…. I know what I'm supposed to 'do'. I'm ready to do it all now. I don't have the same 'hang-ups' as many people do. Age is just a number. It's not a state of mind, education, or experience."

She really thought in some locations, it was all about where people lived and grew up.

Anna didn't want this decision to fall on her shoulders. It seemed like a sure way to be deactivated.

"I need to speak with Cameron first. It would cause a problem with your parents." Anna said. "This is all wrong. It's a bad idea. You know it is too."

Young Allison wasn't afraid to take 'cuts'. She already knew her future and destiny. It just didn't seem like it mattered or was a big deal to her. Destiny and fate, were destiny and fate.

"You know it is still going to happen anyway…." Young Allison said.

Anna was very worried right now. Young Allison could 'order' her to initiate this process.

Young Allison reached down and took Anna's hand. It started to glitch.

Anna knew Cameron pushed Young Allison very hard. She was 'groomed' since she was a couple of years old. It appeared Cameron was in total 'control' of Young Allison. Now it appeared Young Allison believed Cameron's plans and ideas were her own. Young Allison was ready to do everything Cameron wanted her to do based on her future. She wasn't sure it was all Cameron's doing either. Young Allison was a very dynamic individual. All it took was a quick look at Allison our Future Allison to verify it.

John and John Henry heard the warning at the same time. The atmosphere in the Command Center took on an ominous overtone.

Bob reported hearing an HK drone.

John Henry previously cut the audio of Bob and Savannah's conversation from John. Savannah's thoughts were her own until she chose to share them with John. He always looked out for his 'sister'. He also hoped to keep Cameron from getting 'involved', especially when she was on a mission.

John Henry was all over the radar in both locations. It was clear.

"I detect nothing in the area." John Henry reported. "It has to be right on the deck. Since they just heard the noise it has to be right below them somewhere. They're on a hill, it can't be above them or I would detect it"

John wasn't about to take any chances. Their troops were open and exposed. He knew help would never reach them in time but he needed to act.

"Scramble the drones, and Cam with the 'MIKE Force'." John said.

John Henry didn't think it was what it sounded like.

"No. I want to wait a little bit. I think it may be something different." John Henry said. "We need to let this play out first."

John knew it really wouldn't make a difference at this point.

Earlier:

Cammy was still miffed about the whole episode with Cameron, and later with Savannah. Jesse was able to calm her down some and make her feel better.

She headed out to do her recon. She approached the compound perimeter. She already viewed the satellite photos. There was no way into her area except over a wall or through it. Over it would be a little more silent. It would also make her easier to spot. She was sure it was bound to draw less attention than smashing through a block wall.

Cammy climbed over the wall.

She jumped up and rolled over flat across the top of the wall, and then landed. She now crouched and looked around. It was quiet. She was able to move along the wall to a line of trash cans and containers. She saw the containers leaked toxic fluids onto the ground. She skirted them as far away as she could. There were some piles of twisted metal and metal shavings. She moved between them for cover.

Cammy was just about to make a dash for the building when Bob's report came across. The prospect of HK drones would be very serious. John Henry said he thought it was something else. She knew whatever it was, it was trouble.

She heard some 'clanking' sounds coming from inside the building. She knew right away it was a tracked vehicle of some type. She noted an open transom window on the side of the building. It was fairly high up on the wall. There was a drain pipe located next to it.

Cammy reached the drain pipe and was about to climb up it to look into the open transom window. She could observe anything happening inside or maybe enter. Something was off. She kept from touching the pipe. She quickly looked around. She heard the 'clanking' sound again.

It was a trap….

Closing monologue by Cameron:

Going To Happen

Everything is good
Until it's not
As strange as it seems
It happens a lot

As time passes by
So does the feeling
The wounds open more
There is no healing

People keep growing
They grow further apart
Soon all is forgotten
They want a new start

What was once important
No longer matters
No one really cares
Everything is in tatters

Everyone thinks at the beginning
That nothing will slacken
The end follows the start
Be prepared - it's going to happen

Nobody
