Chapter 560
Some Work Out
John was displeased about Cameron being shot up again. At least it didn't appear to be too bad this time. It was their life. He would have thought he would be used to it by now, but he never was. How could anyone be?
He wasn't happy about being 'kicked out' of the lab either. He did know the longer he would have stayed, the more stress he would have put on Cameron. Savannah was there so he really didn't want to push it. He didn't want to look like a 'jerk' in front of her. He would have liked to have seen Savannah change her clothes again. He really wanted another close up of her tight body.
Now he was hung up on Savannah. He was so close to taking her virginity. It was something he really wanted. He wanted to be her first. He pictured her as she would squirm beneath him as he 'took' her. He wanted to provide her with a different experience than what she was used to. He wondered which one she would like better. He was also a little worried he wouldn't be able to measure up in the same department the girls were able to deliver to each other. From what he read on line, it was a hard act to follow. Everything indicated females knew how to please females better than males.
Great, now 'Little Willie' was up and ready to go. He looked around and adjusted his pants some so it wasn't so obvious. It wasn't very long ago 'Little Willie' was bouncing around on the outside of Savannah. He was just one second away from being with Savannah.
He felt like he needed to pull it together some.
John went to the Command Center and made a last minute check with John Henry. He was pleased to see there weren't any new operations in the works. It seemed like it was a busy enough night as it was. He headed off to bed. He knew Cameron wouldn't be there tonight, or tomorrow either. He never knew when she would be there. Maybe he should spend some more time with her when they were together. He would usually finish quickly and then fall asleep. He seldom seemed to satisfy Cameron, but she said it was fine. She could always replay a file to be satisfied. He didn't think it would be the same experience.
He preferred it when Cameron was there but he was used to sleeping alone. He knew he need not be alone because there were other female 'options' available…. Cameron often reminded him about it.
There were many lonely nights when he knew all he needed to do was show up at Jesse or Vanna's room. They would be there with their Metal lovers or each other. Now it was Savannah he thought about. It was Cameron's fault. She made both of them want each other. Or was it? Maybe it was the 'Natural Order' asserting itself.
John was pretty sure in his many times of loneliness, if Allison was still at the base they would've been 'together'. He also noted Allison wasn't at the base. It again was Cameron's doing. He was aware of the fracture Cameron allowed to happen, if not create herself, between Vanna and Allison. His mind was full of too many thoughts. He couldn't sleep.
He thought about watching a movie he liked again but then he would think about Someone at the Young residence he shouldn't think about. It used to be Savannah. He was on top of her naked body. She was an adult now. He sure would've liked to have been with her then. The base alarm put the brakes on everything. He sure wanted to be with her now.
He was about to 'knock one off' himself at this point. It wasn't his first choice, but it got the job done. Maybe he would just go ahead and do it. He didn't really want to go there now. There was too much on his mind. He wanted something better. There were other females there. Maybe it was time he 'took' one. It didn't seem like a big deal. It could just be a few minutes of shared pleasure. He knew he'd 'make it'. He wasn't sure if they would. He really didn't care right now. The thought of a smooth warm body called to him.
John looked around. Maybe he should just worry about his job. He actually thought things were a little pathetic at this point. His mind was too scattered right now.
He threw his clothes back on and started a review of the facility. He didn't know what it was going to do.
Maybe checking over everything would make him feel bored and get sleepy.
Savannah went to her room and slowly stripped. She was sore all over still. The most recent events added to her pain. She ran the water warm and climbed into the shower. Once she was inside for a minute and her body adjusted, she turned the water hotter.
As the hot water washed away her dirt, it also soothed her aching body. What it couldn't soothe was her aching heart. She was so unsure about what to do. She knew what she was supposed to do. She knew what she wanted to do instead. Either way she would hurt someone. If she did nothing, she would hurt herself.
Savannah knew she was needed there and needed now and would be needed in the future. Her life was decided and planned for her by others. She knew it wasn't just Cameron. She saw the future, Cameron's future. She lived in her future. Cameron hadn't lied about it, or made anything up, or left anything out. It was what it was.
She eventually turned off the water and exited the shower. She dried herself off and stood in front of her mirror. She looked at her body. It was firm and tight. There were bruises and welts now along with scratches and scrapes. They were mostly minor, but they were still there. She saw what people looked like in the future. Maybe her body was headed the same way. Jesse and Vanna both bore scars from the future They weren't small ones either. It was only a matter of time until she would end up the same way.
Savannah entered her room naked. She looked at her night clothes she laid out. She looked in the mirror again and saw the tears in her eyes. They ran down her cheeks and dripped onto her breasts. She didn't bother putting her night clothes on. She just wanted to get into bed.
She opened her bed and turned off the light and climbed soundlessly into bed naked. The tears fell silently from her. She hoped someone would have come to her room. She really thought Jesse would. She wanted what Jesse could offer her. She wanted to hold Young Jesse but she wasn't there. Jesse was. They were the same person after all.
Savannah looked around the empty darkness. She knew why. Nobody was there….
Earlier:
Cameron left the lab. She stopped to look back through the little window in the door.
She really wanted Savannah. She was very surprised Savannah didn't 'take' more when she could have.
It made her think how special Savannah was. She always looked out for her. It took a rare individual to always put someone else before themselves. Maybe it was because of love. If it was love, it was pure love. There was no physical aspect to it, even if there could be. It most likely would be soon enough.
She understood Savannah wanted what was best for her and not for herself.
Everything she wanted right now was in the lab.
She turned and went down the hall. She didn't stop by her room. John would want to 'use' her chassis if she did. She thought maybe she should let him knock off a quickie. It would only take two minutes. It would probably be less, especially if she was on her knees. She thought it was easier for John to fantasize about her being someone 'different' as he pounded away. Two minutes wasn't going to do much for her. She was used to it by now. She would need to bring a spare pair of underwear with her to change later on.
She read in Cosmo it wasn't uncommon for both males and females to fantasize they were with someone different than the person they were with. It was easier when the lights were off. Anyone could be anyone else. She knew John did it quite frequently. Sometimes she would hear a name he said very faintly. She never minded if it was Allison, Vanna, or Jesse. She was especially pleased when she was Savannah. She was very displeased when she was Riley. She didn't think it was Riley, but actually Future Riley. It always caused her a lot of discomfort to think about when she was 'replaced'.
She looked up and she was in the carpool. She didn't really remember going there, but she was there.
"Nice night for a walk." Bob said. "I've been waiting for you."
She turned around and Bob was there with Gail.
"We thought we'd wait for you and carpool together." Gail said. "We're all going to the same destination. There shouldn't be any other stops along the way."
Cameron wasn't so sure about it. Savannah probably asked them to wait and make sure she went to inspect the captured equipment and not go off on her own. She didn't want to make an issue about it. She didn't need to remind herself the last thing she thought about was returning to her room, and now she was in the carpool area. It wasn't just the location being different from what she remembered, there was also an additional time span which passed. She didn't seem to have any recollection of it. She didn't want Bob or Gail to know about her daydreams. She decided to play along with it.
"We can save some fuel if we carpool." Cameron said.
Cameron wanted to ask Gail more about her fight with the two Terminators but it didn't seem like the right time. She was actually surprised Gail was able to successfully defeat both of them. She did see the Taser she carried was fired twice. Gail did look a little worse for the wear. Savannah said she saw Gail fight and deactivate both of them. Maybe she should leave it alone. She knew it wasn't pleasant to think about experiences where she faced termination. It wouldn't be any different for Gail. Maybe it would actually be worse since she wasn't normally involved in combat operations.
She went with Bob and Gail to do the inspections and inventory everything. Both the HK Tracks and HK drones would be stripped down and refitted with the weapons they used. The improvements they made to their drones would be incorporated. Everything would be as if they were always theirs. All traces of anything Skynet related would be gone. None of the Skynet programming would be kept.
Cameron directed her Terminators to take one of the HK Tracks and two of the HK drones to her base. The rest would go into the Resistance stockpiles and dispersed storage areas. They were located in secure remote areas.
John Henry asked for two more HK drones to be added to their active fleet. He wanted to add an HK Track for base security but John said Sarah wouldn't like it. The large one they possessed already which could be manned, the HK Tread, caused enough tension.
Unknown to Cameron, CamNet took possession of two truck loads of HK drones once they were refitted. It appeared CamNet wanted to establish her own offensive capability. It would allow her to act outside the scope of the Resistance. Technically everything done from her base was done outside the Resistance. It was a personal endeavor. CamNet was 'Cameron', but she was a separate entity for all practical purposes. She was like Cam, Cammy, and Camille, but much more powerful, even if she was trapped in a metal box.
Bob could see Cameron appeared distracted. He was surprised when he received an alert from CamNet. He noticed Gail look at him. It was clear she received it as well. There was no apparent reaction on Cameron's part. Either she didn't receive it, or she received it and it didn't register. The latter thought was somewhat troubling.
There was a suspected Gray on the move. They weren't too far away from him. CamNet made both of them aware of the promise Cameron needed to give Savannah. She wasn't supposed to be involved in any combat operations.
Gail wondered why they were notified, if Cameron was restricted. She could see it was the same thing Bob thought. She wondered if it was a 'test' to see what Cameron would do.
CamNet sent the information to Cameron.
Cameron quickly forgot about the other things when she received the alert. She looked over at Bob.
"There's a target we need to go after." Cameron said.
Gail understood the need to act. There would be some restrictions on them.
"I don't think it's a good idea." Gail said. "I don't think you're supposed to be involved in combat without Savannah. We can either go back and get Savannah, or proceed to the remote location and let you off. Bob and I can return and deal with the situation."
Cameron was instantly upset with what Gail said. She didn't like being sidelined. She didn't want Savannah involved. They might lose the target by the time they took her to the remote location and returned on their own. She remembered her promise to Savannah. There was a way out of the promise if it became necessary to act. If there was a target, it seemed necessary.
"I can deal with an active threat." Cameron said.
Bob didn't want to go against Savannah's wishes.
"You could also wait in the vehicle." Bob said. "There won't be a problem if you do."
Cameron was offended by Bob's proposal.
"If there's a threat, I need to deal with it." Cameron said. "It's my responsibility."
Gail didn't think so.
"Not when there are others who can assist you." Gail said. "You have some commitments you need to live up to."
Cameron remembered the 'suggestion' from Vanna. It wasn't an 'order' from Savannah. She was supposed to take it easy for a couple of days. It was mainly so Savannah could rest up a little. She felt a slight glitch impulse when she thought about it. Savannah shouldn't have to rest up. She should never have been put in a situation where she was almost killed and injured.
Bob didn't want to make the situation worse.
"We will let you off at the site and return here." Bob said.
Cameron didn't want so much time to pass.
"We're already close." Cameron said. "Just drive there now."
Gail thought of another solution.
"Let me commandeer a vehicle." Gail said. "I'll go take care of it myself. Bob and you can continue on to the location. I'll join you there when I'm finished."
Cameron tilted her head slightly.
"How would it be any different for you to be alone, than it would be for me to be alone?" Cameron asked.
Gail frowned slightly. Cameron was correct. It would be the same thing, more or less.
"It wouldn't be." Gail said. "The difference is you agreed to take it easy for a few days so Savannah didn't need to accompany you. I want to make sure Savannah can rest. I can take the heat. I'm already damaged, so a little more damage won't matter."
It sounded illogical to Cameron.
They all received a transmission over there coms. CamNet was able to free up some of Cameron's Terminators to deal with it. They were to continue on to their previous destination. No doubt their dispute was probably monitored and the problem level was determined to be too high. It was clear Cameron was reluctant to stand down when she should.
Bob and Gail glanced at each other when they received the stand down order. No Doubt it was propagated by the discussion inside of their SUV. It seemed the only resolution occurred when Cameron didn't look like she would honor her commitment to Vanna and Savannah. CamNet removed Cameron from the equation instead.
Cameron didn't care for the rebuke from Bob, Gail, and CamNet. She could take care of herself.
Bob continued on to the location where the HK drones were being processed.
There was no further talking along the way. When Bob arrived in park they all got out and began to assist their fellow Terminators.
Cameron eventually worked near Cammy. It wasn't an accident.
Cammy noticed Cameron slowly worked her way over to her. She was fairly certain the issue about what happened earlier was on Cameron's mind. Since nothing actually happened, it shouldn't be a big deal. Cameron continued to come closer. She figured there would be an altercation soon. It was sooner than she thought.
Cameron looked at Cammy.
"You should've done it anyway." Cameron told her.
Cammy faced Cameron. It was her duty to protect Savannah. Cameron was a threat to Savannah. She couldn't let anything happen to Savannah.
"I will if you ever endanger Savannah again." Cammy said. "I only didn't because Savannah was there and stopped me. I almost did it anyway."
Cammy thought she could let Sheila 'play with' Cameron's deactivated chassis. She would even switch chips for Sheila if she would want to 'use' it. She would have liked to have seen it happen. It would please her to see Sheila abuse Cameron's chassis. Who did Cameron think she was anyway?
Cameron didn't care for the smirk on Cammy's face. It was time to remind Cammy what was what. She wanted to issue a challenge.
"Savannah isn't here now." Cameron said.
Cameron turned and lifted her shirt.
Cammy could see the Taser Cameron carried.
Cameron offered it to Cammy to take and use on her.
Cammy looked at it. It was tempting.
Cameron took it out when Cammy didn't take it. She tried to hand it to Cammy along with a knife.
Cammy took neither.
Cameron thought she made her point. It was much the same as she did with Vanna a few days ago. It was time to remind Cammy of the reality of the situation.
"You can't kill me." Cameron said. "Even if you want to, you can't."
Cammy knew she couldn't. She also wanted something from Cameron. It was her own termination. It was something she thought about every day since her creation. She didn't like being a placeholder for Cameron. She knew what would eventually happen. Most likely it would be sooner rather than later.
"Cameron, as soon as you're with Savannah, I ask our programs be reintegrated and we become one." Cammy said. "This chassis can be used for the Future Allison Terminator."
Cameron liked the idea. Cammy was redundant once she claimed Savannah for herself. Maybe Cammy was redundant already. She would be some type of an obstacle in her path going forward. She wanted to see what Cammy actually wanted.
"Do you wish to remain as the base program for the new Terminator?" Cameron asked.
Cammy didn't want to exist as a separate entity in any capacity. The humiliation of replacement didn't suit her.
"No. It will be our combined program with the Future Allison files Ally has." Cammy said. "What will you name her?"
Cameron played with a few names. She liked to have part of her name with her 'program' in a different chassis, or even in a metal box. Two of them tantalized her.
"Alron, Camison…." Cameron said. "I don't know. Since it's Future Allison, maybe – Fusion or Allure."
Cammy tilted her head slightly. She liked the last two names too, especially the last one.
"I like Allure." Cammy said. "She would be very alluring…."
Cameron knew Allure could pose a 'risk'.
"You're aware Savannah may choose Allure for herself." Cameron said. "It would be the 'improved' version of me, of us. What I - WE should've been."
Cammy didn't care as long as Savannah found love, joy, and happiness.
"So be it." Cammy said. "Savannah deserves the best. No sacrifice is too great for her. Her happiness should always come before mine."
Cameron didn't know what would happen.
"Life is about choices." Cameron said. "Some work out, some do not."
Cameron and Cammy went back to work.
Cameron knew she would sacrifice too for Savannah. She would facilitate and allow Savannah to be with any of the females of her choice. She never wanted Savannah to feel lonely or unwanted or worse, replaced.
She smiled to herself. She was pleased at the joy she allowed Savannah to experience. She always thought she would be bothered more by Savannah's many 'partners'. It didn't bother her at all. She knew she could take Savannah at any time from any of them. She wanted Savannah to feel all the love. She was painfully aware Savannah lost both her parents, all three of them really, and both of her babies, her daughters. Savannah lost all of those things.
Savannah NEEDED shared love to make up for the love she lost.
Cameron made sure Savannah was showered in love. She knew sacrifice was the true test of love. She sacrificed by allowing Savannah to share with others. She knew all of Savannah's love could go to her. Savannah's happiness and well being came before her.
John went to the area where the manned HK Tread was at. It was supposed to be unarmed. As he looked it over, he saw it wasn't the case. It was armed. He knew if his mother found out about it, she was going to go ballistic. She didn't trust it at the Resistance base. It was doubtful she would trust it any place.
He immediately called John Henry.
"Why is the HK Tread armed?" John asked.
John Henry was aware of the aversion Sarah felt towards Skynet technology. Some of it rubbed off on John. He didn't see a problem.
"Cameron and Savannah worked with it. Savannah wanted to use it for simulated 'live fire'." John Henry said. "Look closer, those are blanks in the miniguns."
John did look. He was actually a little surprised. He realized it would be very much like the real thing.
"OK, I should've checked better." John said. "It made me worry."
John Henry monitored Savannah's training. He was actually quite impressed.
"Savannah wanted to operate it under simulated combat conditions." John Henry said. "She's become quite proficient at it. Her ability and skill is almost as good as some of our Terminators."
John liked the idea because Savannah would be better protected inside of it. He also knew it would become a target on the battlefield once its destructive power was unleashed.
"Is Cameron planning on using this thing somewhere?" John asked.
John Henry did wonder about it. There was no proof of it. He was aware it didn't need to be the HK Tread after the Resistance base which could be used either. It could be another one. Most of those were in the future. It was an unpleasant thought.
"I don't know." John Henry said. "I'm unaware of any such plan."
John came to the same conclusion as John Henry. He didn't always like the way Cameron did things. He figured there was one person he could probably get a straight answer out of.
"With Cameron, we usually find out about it after the fact." John said. "I'll ask Savannah."
John left and headed for the lab. He wanted to check up on the girls. Maybe he could catch some of them naked. He saw the lab was dark.
He went straight to Savannah's room. He stood outside the door. He couldn't bring himself to knock. As he stood there he was aware she was sobbing inside her room. It sounded as if she was crying herself to sleep…. It stung his heart greatly. He wanted to comfort her.
John turned the door handle. It was unlocked.
He cursed to himself and released the handle. It made a 'click' sound. He didn't pay attention because he already started to walk away.
Before he knew it, he stood in front of Vanna's room. It was quiet. John knocked. Nothing happened. John knocked again louder. Nothing happened. Her door was unlocked too.
John cursed to himself and released the handle. He'd just done THIS.
He moved on to Jesse's room. As he got closer he could hear 'activity' occurring inside the room. It was the sound of two people passionately making love. He went to move on. It seemed the music in the room got louder. He listened to it for a few moments.
'The House Is Rockin' by 'Stevie Ray Vaughan', drifted out from their room.
John knew all he needed to do was go inside and Vanna and Jesse would be his for the night. They were both warmed up and ready to go. He wondered who he would have first. He thought he would lie on his back and he could service both of them at once that way. They could decide who was where. He imagined them kissing as they both derived pleasure from him. He hoped they'd switch positions. He felt himself 'ready'. He was at full attention with the thought.
Maybe there was something he wanted more.
John moved on. He thought about it - all of it. Isn't this what Cameron said she wanted? Maybe it was time to start listening.
Who was he fooling? Maybe it was only himself.
John knew what he WANTED.
He headed back towards Savannah's room….
It was time. He wanted Savannah and he wanted her virginity. She didn't need to cry herself to sleep. He could provide her with love and pleasure. He really needed her now.
John adjusted his pants as he walked.
Tonight was the night.
Closing monologue by Cameron:
Some Work Out
For others and themselves
Most want what's best
It's when push comes to shove
That everything becomes a test
Some decided they want more
Others don't want to share
There are always those
Who don't care what they snare
Some try to regroup
They want the package to be whole
The takers and users
Just want a fresh hole
Some only see others
As something to use
They miss love's meaning
It is they who actually lose
Some try to determine
What life's all about
The bottom line is
Many don't but some work out
Nobody
