Chapter 569

At Any Time

Cameron and Cammy approached the target area.

Savannah and Gail were on their way there as well.

Cameron wasn't sure what they would find and how things were about to play out. She seemed to have an underlying sense of doom awaiting her. She didn't know why. She looked forward to Savannah arriving. It was what she needed. She knew she would need to depend on Savannah's actions and judgment before the day was over. She just KNEW it.

She was contacted by one of her Terminators who 'shadowed' the truck for the last few days. He went past the location because he 'shadowed' it from in front. When he saw the truck stopped. He waited for an hour to see if the truck would leave the location or not. When it didn't, he returned to take the area under observation. He was somewhat surprised at what he found.

"I have what's left of the installation under observation." The Terminator said.

Cameron and Cammy quickly looked at each other.

It meant the HK Tracks Cammy programmed went on the attack after they were unloaded. It was what Cammy wanted to happen.

Cameron wondered exactly what they would walk into at this point. She was most worried about personnel rather than machines, unless they were Terminators.

"How much is left?" Cameron asked.

The Terminator didn't feel he could give an adequate description unless he actually inspected the location. He could only go by what it looked like from his observation point. It was still some distance out from the location.

"Not much, the HK Tracks shot up the place." The Terminator said. "There's massive destruction."

Cameron knew the installation was bound to be on high alert. It would make her approach much more difficult. Anyone who was left would be very jumpy. They would most likely shoot first and ask questions later. There was probably one or more Terminators associated with the location. It is doubtful they would have been terminated during the rampage.

"How much movement do you detect?" Cameron asked.

The response was instantaneous.

"Zero. Do you want me to move in?" The Terminator asked. "I can take a closer look."

Cameron thought about it. There could be a number of developments before she arrived. None of them would be good.

"Negative." Cameron said. "Keep me posted if anything changes. They may send additional personnel or reinforcements. Stay out of sight. I don't want you to get trapped inside, or into a battle by yourself on the outskirts. Even though the destruction may look extreme, it's probably far from complete. They are most likely in the process of regrouping now. There could be a lower level we don't know about yet. It would most likely be unaffected. I'll be there in a few hours. Don't rush anything."

Cammy wondered about the time delay for them. Cameron told her Terminator they wouldn't be there for a few hours. They could be there much sooner. She didn't like the delay.

"We can be there quicker." Cammy said. "There's no need to wait."

Cameron still felt a sense of doom. It was unlike her to feel it. It was only when she thought she was about to be terminated she developed the 'feeling'. Savannah was usually with her, or near her, to prevent her from being terminated. She didn't want to put Savannah at risk. She hoped to be able to control Savannah's involvement once she arrived so it wouldn't be quite as dangerous for her. She could see her explanation was going to be a problem for Cammy.

"I want to wait for Savannah." Cameron said.

Cammy didn't know of Cameron's apprehension of the upcoming events. She did know any battlefield Savannah entered put her at risk. She didn't want Savannah endangered. She would take the risk herself.

"You'll endanger Savannah." Cammy said. "I can go on my own. I can do it before she gets here. You can wait in the SUV for her to arrive. I may be done by then."

Cameron didn't really want to get into a discussion of this nature. She felt Cammy was as 'guilty' as she was about endangering Savannah. She didn't care for Cammy's remark about her waiting in the SUV either. She wanted to point out a recent mission where Savannah was almost terminated because of Cammy. It wasn't so much what Cammy did, as it was opposed to what Cammy didn't do. She wanted to hear her explanation. They needed to burn up some time.

"How's it any different than allowing her to come after me in 'My Future'?" Cameron asked. "You allowed it. You could have stopped her. You stopped her before. You should have done it again."

Cameron left instructions for the TDE to be destroyed rather than have anyone else come after her. What happened 'in some future' always bothered her. It was more than just the amount of danger Savannah was subjected to.

Cammy felt a glitch impulse. She didn't need to be reminded about everything associated with the adventure. When they left Cameron's future the first time, Cameron told her to keep Savannah in the energy bubble when she stepped out. It turned into a very traumatic experience for her because she carried out Cameron's request. She could still hear Savannah's words to her and remember how angry and upset Savannah was at her. It was Cameron's fault.

"I stopped her once for you." Cammy said. "I'll never do it again. She was very angry at me. I was afraid she would throw me away. It would have been your fault. You should have talked to her first. It probably would have prevented her from returning as soon as she could. You tried to do something behind her back and it blew up in both of our faces. You should have trusted Savannah's love. You didn't. You made her question mine instead."

Cameron did what she thought was the right thing at the time. What happened to Holly still troubled her. It took some 'temporal management' to get all of those other events under control. She didn't believe anything she did was wrong.

"Everything worked out fine." Cameron said.

Cammy wondered what Cameron's definition of 'fine' was. Maybe it was like every other time when things were wrong and she said she was 'fine'. 'Fine' meant just the opposite of what the actual situation was. She remembered how upset and angry Savannah was at her for keeping her in the energy bubble when Cameron stayed behind in 'Her Future' at the time. Savannah said she 'hated' her. The words echoed forever within the confines of her mind. She was forced to take the wrath of Cameron's folly. She knew she would rather face deactivation instead of Savannah's rejection of her.

"Maybe things worked out 'fine' for you." Cammy said. "They didn't for me and I'm forever scarred because of it. You don't know what it was like to hear what Savannah said to me. When she said it, she meant it too."

Cameron didn't need the discussion right now. Everything did work out 'fine'. She wasn't concerned about Cammy's problems. She was concerned about protecting Savannah. It's what Cammy should have been concerned about as well.

"It was necessary." Cameron said. "I tried to protect her. You helped protect her. You did your job. I did mine."

Cammy didn't need the current discussion either right now. It irritated her as much as it agitated her to review and think about the events before, during, and after they occurred. She thought it was time Savannah was brought into the conversation.

"I don't want to talk about it." Cammy said. "Call her. I think you should call Savannah."

Cameron thought Cammy would want to do it. She wasn't sure a conversation was a good idea with Savannah right now before she was able to gain more information about the target location. It seemed it would be better if Cammy dealt with it.

"Do you want to?" Cameron asked. "I think it might be better because of your personal connection."

Cammy frowned. She was sure she would face Savannah's wrath again for shutting down her alarm. She did it so she could go with Cameron instead of Savannah. Now it appeared it was all for naught. If anything it was bound to lead to finger pointing and harsh words. She tried to send the ball back to Cameron's Court.

"It's you she loves." Cammy said.

Cammy was aware she was a 'place holder' or surrogate for Cameron.

Cameron knew of the wrath Cammy needed to face because of her actions previously. None of those were the words she would ever want to hear from Savannah directed at her. She understood the pain and anguish Cammy needed to endure, and forever would because of them. She glanced over at Cammy and then took out her phone. She called Savannah. She didn't want there to be any more problems. She didn't want them directed at her.

Gail and Savannah sped towards Cameron and Cammy. CamNet used 'traffic management' to make sure they made all the signals and all local law enforcement was elsewhere. They were able to speed at a safe pace without it being overly dangerous.

Savannah encouraged Gail to talk and share with her.

Gail was curious about many things. She felt very comfortable talking with Savannah.

"Will you choose Young Jesse as your mate?" Gail asked.

Savannah wanted a full time human lover. She wanted a real love relationship. She wanted what Vanna and Allison shared. She was ready for Young Allison, but she knew the rest of them weren't. There was a solution for now. It was Young Jesse, or even Jesse. She didn't want to cause Gail any worry.

"For now I'd like to share with her." Savannah said. "I love her. We don't get to see each other much. It makes the times we do even more special. I'd like her to be part of the 'Natural Order' but she's not."

Gail was in love with Duplicate Jesse and Jesse. She was naturally drawn to Young Jesse as well. They were all the same person. It made her wonder what would happen if she ever encountered Future Jesse. She didn't believe she would be able to terminate her if the situation arose. Maybe the only way it could happen was if Future Jesse attempted to terminate one of the other versions of Jesse. She couldn't let anything happen to Jesse, any of them. She needed to refocus on Young Jesse.

"She can be a 'place holder' until Young Allison is 'ready'." Gail said. "She's very beautiful."

Savannah liked the tight firm compact body of Young Jesse. It felt so right in her arms. She enjoyed sharing her charms as well. She couldn't allow her personal desires to alter or mess up Cameron's plans for her. She felt a responsibility to the future and the 'Natural Order'.

"I'll let Cameron decide about it. She's the one we all worry about and why things have been so slow to happen." Savannah said. "Cameron has allowed and encouraged me to 'experiment'. I've shared more than a few partners. I've shared a lot. They've all been female."

Savannah was aware she shared with almost everyone at some point. Gail was the exception to it along with Sarah and Riley. She was certain at some point in time she would be with all of them. She figured Sarah would probably be the final one to complete the circle. It didn't matter if Sarah was older than her or not. They were all older than her anyway. It didn't bother her at all.

Gail hoped to be with Savannah. She loved her dearly. She tried to make herself available to Savannah for the last week. So far Savannah hadn't acknowledged her advances. She wondered about the human choices available to Savannah.

"If you could choose only one person who wasn't a Terminator, who would it be?" Gail asked.

Savannah didn't even need to think about it. She fantasized about it a lot already. She knew what she already experienced in Cameron's future. She knew where her desire rested now.

"It would be Future Allison." Savannah said without hesitation. "I'd choose Future Allison in a heartbeat."

Gail instantly understood the significance of her choice. It was actually quite logical.

"Future Allison is the one Cameron is patterned after." Gail said. "Is it why?"

Savannah didn't really know. She was the most comfortable with Future Allison. Everything just seemed perfect between them. She did know Future Allison was with Future Savannah, which was 'her'. Future Allison already knew all the things she liked and how to please her. It was fantastic from the first encounter. She could see a lot of 'Cameron' in Future Allison too.

"I'm sure it's a big part of it." Savannah said. "Sometimes certain people are just a better fit for each other, than others are. Strangely enough, it applies even if the other people involved are the same person, even if they're not the same individual."

Gail understood Savannah's response to indicate Allison and Duplicate Allison weren't as attractive to her as Future Allison was. She wondered how quickly Savannah would change her mind if she was with Young Allison. Young Allison was her true mate as far as humans went.

Savannah's phone rang. It was Cameron.

They talked for a short while and then Cammy talked to her. Cameron came back on and asked for Gail. Savannah held the phone for Gail and used the speaker phone mode. She informed Cameron it was on. Cameron gave Gail instructions on how to get to where they would be and hung up.

Gail deduced why Savannah put the phone on 'speaker'.

"You were concerned Cameron would tell me to take you back to the base." Gail said.

It was exactly what Savannah thought. She didn't want to put Gail in a bind between Cameron and her. As soon as Gail would have turned around, she would have told her to turn back around and continue on to their original destination. She wanted to put the brakes on it from the start. It looked like Cameron understood her drift.

"The thought crossed my mind." Savannah said. "I didn't want any problems. I would have taken care of them myself."

Savannah reached over and touched Gail's thigh. She slid her hand slowly up Gail's leg. She knew Gail would be more responsive to her after she did it. She didn't want to have to 'order' Gail to do or not do something. There were other ways to convey her wishes.

"I know you wouldn't do it to me." Savannah said. "I'm not done experimenting yet."

Gail got her hopes back up. She felt an almost electric charge at Savannah's touch. It wasn't really electric, but it might as well have been. She wasn't only in love with Savannah, she was devoted to her as well.

"I'll always back your play, Savannah." Gail said.

Savannah wanted to be with Gail, but she knew the conditions needed to be better controlled in Gail's case. She didn't want Gail to focus on her and neglect Jesse. She was afraid it would happen. It was always her concern. It was especially more so now after the incident near the old helicopter base. She still wanted to leave every door open.

"One hand washes the other…." Savannah said.

Gail looked over at Savannah as she brushed her red hair in back of her ear on one side of her face. Savannah smiled at her and winked.

It was the wink that did it. Gail was more in love now than ever with Savannah.

Savannah wasn't sure what she was doing, but it was what Cameron taught her. She used her infiltration skills on many of them. Cameron told her how each one would respond and what they wanted. She knew Cameron really gave her 'permission' to share and feel the love from others. Cameron told her she never wanted her to feel lonely, unwanted, or unloved. Cameron didn't want her to feel rejected or replaced either.

She always waited to see if Cameron would glitch when she reported a new 'conquest'. Cameron never did. Cameron always told her she never wanted her to feel like she did. She was aware of what Cameron referred to. It was self termination. She knew, Cameron knew, she could take her at any time from anyone. Cameron never needed to fear anyone taking her, from her. Nobody could stop her….

Savannah knew she would leave in a heartbeat with Cameron from anyone she was with. It included Cammy, Future Allison, and Young Jesse. She would try to bring Young Allison with them. It was the one love she didn't want to lose, even if nothing physical ever occurred between them, yet. It was love the three of them could share. She knew she could teach both of them how to share love and the pleasures their bodies could offer to them.

John sat with a disgusted look on his face. He contemplated his total lack of control over Cameron and Savannah. He also remembered when Future Allison visited. She was completely uncontrollable as well. She offered herself to him and he didn't take it. He knew it was probably the biggest mistake of his life.

He never saw his 'time' with Future Riley as a mistake. He wanted to be with a female and he was. Now his goal was to be with a virgin. He wanted it to be Savannah. There was Young Jesse and Young Allison too. He really wondered if Cameron would cut her to the front of the line. There were times in the dark in his bed when he thought maybe Cameron slipped Young Allison in there. He wasn't sure why, but he thought it many times. He didn't know it was part of Cameron's 'conditioning' while he slept. It was only after he finished he would check to see if it was Cameron or Young Allison. Unfortunately, it was always Cameron.

John Henry brought him back to reality. He needed to refocus.

"CamNet has communicated the installation where the HK Tracks ended up has been attacked from within. It looks like the HK Tracks did the job Cammy programmed them to do." John Henry said. "There should be less risk for Savannah and Cameron."

John wasn't sure about it. There might be a 'response' to the attack. There could be reinforcements on the way to re-establish control of the facility. He strongly doubted everyone was terminated during the attack. He called Cameron again. He wanted her to have the full support of the Resistance. He wanted it for Savannah as well.

"Hi, John." Cameron said.

John was pleased to hear her voice.

"Hi, Cameron." John said. "How can we help you? Tell us what you need."

John already felt guilty about telling John Henry to draw up the 'divorce papers'. Who was he fooling? He would never give them to Cameron. He loved her. He was angry earlier. Now as he thought about it, it made him love her more.

"It looks like all the heavy lifting has been done." Cameron said. "I don't anticipate combat. I'll be cautious. Savannah will join us. I'll watch over her for you, John. She's your destiny."

John was tired of 'fighting' everything. He was ready to move his life forward. He wanted to be with Savannah. He wanted her virginity.

"I'm sure you will." John said. "Her destiny sounds good too."

There was a long pause.

"It will be." Cameron said. "For all of us."

John just shook his head. Cameron never let up. He needed to focus on the operation. He wanted to have help ready to go if it was needed. He thought they should be ready for a harder 'punch' If it became necessary.

"Do you want any drones or someone in the manned drone to back you up?" John asked.

Cameron didn't know what she would find. She didn't want to commit any forces yet before she knew what they faced. She still needed to consider the possibility there could be action elsewhere as a result of what occurred where she was headed.

"I'll assess the situation when I actually see it." Cameron said.

John wanted to keep it cordial. He was still worried about both of them.

"Please, don't take any unnecessary chances for yourself or Savannah." John said. "Keep me posted."

Cameron still felt a sense of doom. She quickly ended her call after one last comment.

"I love you, John." Cameron said and hung up before he could respond.

John was worried about the open display of affection from Cameron. She never said it going into an operation like this. She also cut him off before he could respond. He was worried a lot right now. He wanted to be proactive. Maybe a 'MIKE Force' would be good to have ready to go.

"I want the Blackhawk to go into standby with a team of six of our Terminators on it." John said. "I want them ready to go."

John Henry was confused. Cameron just told him everything was under control.

"Do you expect trouble?" John Henry asked. "Or don't you trust her?"

John was well aware how most of these events played out in the end.

"It's not about trust." John said. "Trouble has a way of finding her. Actually she has a way of finding it."

John Henry knew it was true. This was different. He could see John acted differently. His concern and caution wasn't about Cameron.

"You're really worried about Savannah." John Henry said.

John was the most worried about Savannah. She wasn't a machine. She couldn't be fixed or replaced. He worried about all of them.

"I am." John said. "I'm also worried about Cameron. I have Cammy and Gail to think about also. I don't want anything bad to happen to any of them."

John always worried about all his troops. It was something Cameron reminded him about all the time. He didn't want to make the same mistakes as he did in the future. The same mistakes Future John made. Now he was even more worried. He wanted to be ready.

"Have one of the Metal girls prepare for action with the manned drone." John said.

John Henry wondered what John had in mind.

"Which one do you want?" John Henry asked.

John knew the Metal girls maximized their 'down time'. They used it to 'get down' with each other.

"Whichever one isn't 'busy'." John said. "They will all do an excellent job, just like they always do."

John Henry thought the Metal girls would like to know about John's positive praise for them. He knew the Metal girls always were able to squeeze some 'alone time' in with each other. He also wanted to hedge their bet.

"I'll take care of it." John Henry said. "Everything will be ready, including all of our drones."

John really hoped none of it would be necessary. He wondered if they shouldn't stage things a little closer for a quicker response. It was something he might do with some of the equipment anyway. He hoped to find a little more out before he acted.

"Thank You." John said.

There was a sick feeling in his gut it would all be necessary.

Claire watched Young Allison interact with Anna. It was beautiful to watch. Anna told her she was really 'Cameron' and 'Savannah' on a combined program. She wasn't really sure how it worked, but she liked the results. It seemed a little strange to be able to combine a cyborg's program with human 'thoughts' through the 'Neural Interface'. It made her wonder how a cyborg with her 'thoughts' would turn out. She would like to use Cameron's program or Hanna's program. Anna was so different from Hanna and Holly. There was nothing mechanical about her. She was like the real Savannah.

Thoughts of the 'real Savannah' flooded Claire's mind. One day her daughter, or daughters, would be with her, just as Allison was with Vanna in several different timelines. She wondered what the future would bring for all of them. She knew if Her Allison chose the same path, Savannah would be a fine mate. She shared with Savannah in Cameron's future. It was a beautiful experience. Right now when Savannah visited, Allison monopolized all of her time. Sometimes she fantasized about a 'three way' with Allison, Savannah and her.

Anna noted Claire watched them. She assigned Young Allison some new tasks and went to speak with Claire.

"She's beautiful isn't she…." Anna said as a statement, not a question.

Claire watched her daughter transform every day from her daughter into 'Cameron's protégé'. She was more responsive to Cameron than she was to her. She didn't necessarily think it was a bad thing either. She would like to be more like Cameron herself.

"Yes." Claire said. "Everyday she's more like Cameron."

Anna pointed out the other version of Claire's oldest daughter.

"As well as Allison and Future Allison." Anna said.

Claire said nothing for a long time. She was aware of Cameron's plans for Her Allison. She would lose her at some point.

"Are you going to take her from me soon?" Claire asked.

Anna knew the 'temporal aging' would only take a few minutes in the present. The aging would all happen in the past.

"Nobody will take her from you." Anna said. "If she is gone, it will only be for a few minutes."

Claire understood the future. It seemed she would come out on the short end once the process started.

"When she comes back, she'll be ready to move on." Claire said. "Then she'll go to be with Savannah and John. I'll still lose her."

Claire didn't mind her being with Savannah. She knew how beautiful it was.

Anna knew the future couldn't be changed. Not in the regard to the 'Natural Order'.

"It's Cameron's desire. It's the 'Natural Order'." Anna said. "I'm sorry for your loss."

Claire knew how it all worked and she was just a cog in the wheel. Cameron needed her daughter. The future needed her daughter. Savannah needed her daughter. John needed her daughter. She saw it all with her own eyes in Cameron's future.

"Everyone sacrifices for John Connor." Claire said.

Anna smiled. She was pleased Claire understood and wouldn't be a problem.

Closing monologue by Cameron:

At Any Time

Sometimes the inner self
Screams out to be heard
The mind grows tired, weak and weary
Emotions boil over when not stirred

Lonely people need to hear
Good things sometimes not meaningless pity
Imagine if all people said someone
Was ugly instead of beautiful or pretty

They would hurt them to no end
To praise someone specific
With sweet pleasant thoughts
Should be something terrific

Everything is make believe anyway
We only chose to live certain realities
Where we get stuck at in life
Are really only technicalities

Look around, what is the point
Life is simple like this very rhyme
We follow along for the payoff
Then realize it can end at any time

Nobody
