Chapter 754

Impressive

Minutes ago:

The bulldozer knocked the final chunk out of the corner of the bunker. It moved back away from the bunker as the Resistance Terminators clustered around one side of it for cover.

Cameron waited for the missile to strike. She made sure her troops were behind cover. They used the mass of the giant bulldozer as a shield. She double checked to make sure Savannah was protected. She watched the opening for a breakout. The missile soundless came in faster than the speed of sound. It disappeared into the opening in a fraction of a second. There was a bright flash of light, followed by the sound of an explosion. A massive fireball billowed out of the breach in the bunker wall.

She realized it was a very good plan, and an effective strategy Savannah used in the operation. John, Savannah, and Young Allison could always offer advice different from what a Terminator may come up with. It was one of the reasons John normally was where he was supposed to be, working alongside John Henry in the Command Center of the Resistance base.

It was still in the back of her mind because he was out in the field. She wondered if he was on his way to where she was right now because of the difficulty they experienced earlier. She thought it was a better than even chance he was. Hopefully he would realize the way of his folly and continue with his earlier endeavor. It was nearly as risky as the location where she was at. She thought she better not start thinking about it right now. There was no need to experience a glitch impulse. It was time for action.

Cameron led the assault into the bunker as soon as the fireball started to dissipate. She was the first one through the opening. The air was still thick with smoke and dust. A few small fires burnt in places. There were some computer terminals set up. One may have controlled security. She didn't have time to check now. Some of them may have monitored the reactor output. It would have allowed the Grays to know when they could take additional energy and remain undetected. It was possible there were additional accomplices inside of the power plant itself. She needed to move on.

There were several dead Grays the missile took out. If the missile hadn't been fired, the others and her would have taken damage at the hands of the waiting Grays. There were weapons next to all of them. They were poised to ambush them. Savannah's idea worked perfectly to thwart their attempt. They never even would have seen it coming as the missile streaked in at ballistic speed. She led the troops forward.

A very short while after they entered the bunker, there was an explosion from near where the inner bunker blast door would be. It appeared the Grays attempted to make a breakout by blowing the blast door open. She knew they couldn't open it themselves because part of it was melted to the steel frame around it from the Thermite. It was followed by gunfire from the outside. It meant Cammy and Savannah now engaged the Grays. It wasn't what she wanted to hear. All of the Terminators except Cammy were inside of the bunker with her now.

The latest move by the Grays upset her greatly. She started to move her force in the direction, but held them as she heard a drone fire patterned bursts of gunfire. She figured a missile strike on the outer bunker door location would soon occur. It did. There was an explosion. There was a fireball off to the side where the location was. It was followed by a series of screams and cries of pain. It pleased her to hear them. Those individuals tried to hurt Savannah. She was glad the drone scored. She knew it was really John Henry and her since it was their programming on the drones when they operated autonomously.

It was followed soon afterward by a 'jolt' they could all feel. Cameron figured it was the bulldozer blocking the original entrance. She knew Cammy and Savannah were still in the game. She didn't think the Grays would get out the way they were trying to get out. She needed to make sure.

Cameron dispersed some of her force to cover the direction they were going and the area they came from. She led two of their Terminators toward the original entrance to check on the activity which just occurred there. She wanted to make sure the Grays there were neutralized. If any were still alive, they would be terminated. There were still cries of pain as she approached.

There were three wounded Grays there. Several of them were missing limbs. She could see the arterial blood. She knew their time was limited anyway. She would do them a favor and speed it along. There were the bodies of a few more terminated Grays, one was burning.

Cameron opened fire on them, two fell immediately. One managed to dodge away and get off a few pistol shots before he was killed by her as well. She fired into each of the fallen to make sure none rose. She moved forward to look at the exit. She was able to see the massive blade of the bulldozer blocked the doorway. The way out was now a dead end. She thought it was quite a literal statement as she looked at the fallen Grays around the opening. Any explosives used against it would be directed up and around the slight curve of the massive blade. It would probably do more damage to whoever attempted to use the explosives than it would to the thick steel of the bulldozer blade.

Cameron felt the areas they just cleared should remain the same way. It was always a possibility more Grays could show up. She wanted to gather as much intelligence as possible, as quickly as possible.

"This area is clear, as is the area we came through." Cameron said. "I want one of you on each side and the others to follow me. Go through everything and pull the hard drives and gather the phones as well. Don't waste your time with any paperwork, unless it is out."

There was some kind of electrical equipment near the far wall. Cameron looked over it. She determined what its nature was. Once it was shut down it would allow the drones to be under direct control. Maybe some of their communications would function again as well.

"After we pass by, I want one of you to destroy this device. I believe it's the jamming system." Cameron said. "See if you can pick anything up or communicate with anyone."

Cameron led the troops forward. She heard some gunfire after they went a short distance. One of them destroyed the electronic device. She quickly checked her phone and communications gear, none of it worked. She was sure it was all fried from the massive electrical discharge. The cause and nature of it were still unknown.

She hadn't spotted anything so far which looked like it could have caused it. It concerned her somewhat because nothing was located. There was the possibility it could happen again. Maybe she should have allowed Savannah to come with them. She wanted to. It would also be a good situation to have the Reese brothers along. She briefly thought about John. No. He didn't belong out in the field.

She knew none of their electrical gear worked, but maybe one of the phones from the fallen Grays did. She turned to the closest Terminator. It was Frank. He was the one who carried the phone's collected from the Grays outside earlier.

"Frank, do any of those phones work?" Cameron asked.

They waited as Frank checked them.

"Negative." Frank said after a minute. "We're inside the bunker too far."

After the trouble with the Grays and the attempted breakout Cameron wanted some additional security. She worried Cammy or Savannah would come to look for her at some point. She thought about it a little more. No. It wouldn't be Cammy. Savannah would come herself. She would make Cammy remain outside to provide security so the team could get out without a problem.

"Frank, remain on this level." Cameron said. "We're moving below. Watch for Savannah or Cammy to enter, shoot anything else you see which isn't part of the Resistance."

She needed to think it was possible Gail, Ally, and Sheila might show up along with John and Bob. She didn't know they were actually on their way at one point. They since turned back around to continue on their original assignment.

Frank readied his M4.

"Affirmative…." Frank said. "Anyone else will be terminated."

Cameron looked at the rest of the Terminators. They needed to find out what exactly was there and why it was so important to Skynet.

There was never any hesitation when Cameron led a team into battle. They knew she wouldn't stop until she was victorious. There was no 'halfway' with Cameron. Skynet and all the evil it spawned would be terminated.

"Follow me." Cameron said.

Down the rabbit hole they went.

Cammy finished dragging over another dead Gray before she joined Savannah.

Savannah was already behind two overlapping each other, with a third in front.

Cammy was now behind a pile of dead as well. She didn't need to be, but she didn't want to make herself a target either. She thought it would make the experience a little less traumatic for Savannah as well.

Savannah looked at the dead men which now provided her with cover. It seemed somewhat ironic. She was the one who 'shot the horses'. It was for survival, not for cover earlier.

"I killed these men." Savannah said. "I killed a lot of people today."

The only one which bothered her was the female Gray. She could still see 'those eyes'.

Cammy tilted her head slightly. The last two men who were sideways in front of the two stacked decedents were missing most of their heads.

"You only killed four of these traitors to humanity. The others are still over there." Cammy said. "The ones with the blown open heads, Cameron and I shot. You protected Cameron and me. It's the only thing which matters. You won, they lost. WE won, and they lost."

Savannah didn't think it really mattered. She did wonder how secure their position was. She knew a rifle bullet could easily pass through one person if no bones were encountered. It was usually only if it was a glancing blow and the bullet was deflected. If it was straight into the bone, it often kept going after it shattered the bone.

"Will these bodies stop all rifle bullets?" Savannah asked.

Cammy believed they were in good shape. The bodies weren't their only asset. The inferior weapons the Grays often used would help limit their effectiveness. They seemed to rely on European and former Soviet Bloc equipment. The 'Black Market' was flooded with both of those.

"I'd say at three human bodies deep, it should offer plenty of protection." Cammy said. "We should have drone support as well, even if it is autonomous. You saw how one reacted to the breakaway. It was there right away, along with a warning for us."

Savannah did see. She thought it was cut a little close for her to get better cover, but she was behind cover before the missile struck. It was probably a precision timed shot based on when she was shielded with sufficient cover.

She listened to the action inside the bunker. It was all quiet now. She didn't know if the original occupants were dead or if they'd retreated further inside. It was most likely a combination of both. It didn't sound as if the team encountered too much resistance.

She did hear a series of single shots fired in rapid succession. She figured it was probably one of the Terminators finishing off the survivors of the missile explosion between the blast door and the outer door. She didn't doubt for a moment it was Cameron.

"The firing inside has faded and seems further away." Savannah said.

Cammy was most concerned with stragglers or cowards who hid from the initial battle. She was sure at this point the remainder of the Grays who survived were decimated as a fighting force. Cowards were something found on every battlefield.

Based on her files from Cameron, it included the various futures she was in. They weren't all on the side of the enemy either. She thought the biggest cowards of all were the humans who sold out to Skynet and became Grays. It wasn't uncommon for a Resistance fighter who was captured, to gladly switch sides to the enemy and provide them with important information. A lot of innocent people died because of them.

She also knew how the Grays were 'rewarded'. They usually got first pick of the females who were captured during raids to provide them with 'comfort'. The females were usually tied to the 'Comfort Bunk'. When the Grays were done abusing them, they were put into the general population of the work camp. Usually the abuse would continue there as well. When people didn't think there was a future and the end was near, they reverted to little more than animals. She didn't want to think about it. They still needed to be concerned with stragglers and cowards.

"The question now will be, did they miss anyone? If they did, will they try to make a break for it?" Cammy asked. "Grays are cowards by definition. Some of them could choose to hide instead of fight. It's who we need to worry about."

Savannah thought about how best to combat the situation. She doubted they would exit as a group. Even if they were in a group, they probably wouldn't choose to exit all at the same time. They would want to see what happened to the guy in front of them first.

"There's no cover once they're out." Savannah said. "If anyone makes it out, I think we should wait a few seconds to see if anyone else follows them."

Savannah knew if they cut the Grays down right away, anyone else who followed them wouldn't exit. If they thought it was clear and they could get away, they would exit.

Cammy agreed with her assessment. She wanted to explain why they didn't use the same strategy earlier when the breakout from the bunker entrance occurred.

"Yes, it should draw more than one out." Cammy said. "Before, we didn't want to get stuck in a cross fire situation. We wouldn't have been able to find any cover."

There was some gunfire from inside.

Savannah looked up. The sounds from the drones changed. It seemed whatever patterns they were flying were now altered.

"It sounds like the drones are behaving differently now." Savannah said.

Cammy heard it earlier. She thought it might be a good indication.

"It appears they are under direct control of John Henry again." Cammy said. "The damping field must be down. It was probably the last burst of gunfire we heard."

Cammy checked her phone and communications gear. While Savannah continued to cover the opening.

"Mine are inoperable." Cammy said.

Cammy took over covering the opening while Savannah checked hers.

"Mine are fried." Savannah said. "What about any of these Grays? Some of them must have carried phones."

Savannah looked around at the dead.

Cammy was aware of an earlier action.

"They were all checked for phones and intel, everything was collected." Cammy said.

Savannah thought some of them might work still.

"The stuff they gathered, where is it?" Savannah asked. "We can try some of their gear. They were all inside for the big electrical blast. Some of them would have been protected."

Cammy frowned.

"Frank has everything." Cammy said.

Savannah looked at the bunker.

"Frank is inside." Savannah said.

Cammy felt it was out of their hands for now. She didn't want Savannah to go inside the bunker. She wanted to give her some alternate ideas.

"All we can do now is wait." Cammy said. "If you want to rest, I'll keep watch. I don't sleep."

Savannah didn't have any intention to rest. Not only would she see it as a dereliction of duty, she couldn't rest if she tried.

"I'm good for now." Savannah said. "We'll watch together. You can probably watch what's happening better behind us and around us. I know our drones are doing the same thing. The hole in the bunker wall seems pretty obvious to me."

Savannah took a moment to go over herself. She knew she was going to have a multitude of new bruises and scrapes. She knew none of them were major. She was just glad there weren't any bullet wounds. Even a hit to her vest hurt very much. She looked at her hand in the darkness. She could see a slight shake to it. She was keyed up and pumped full of adrenaline, she would be unable to rest even if she wanted to.

With Cameron on the inside, she wasn't about to rest anyway. She was pretty sure at some point she was going to have to enter the bunker and go after Cameron. It wasn't something she looked forward to.

She thought maybe she should go now. Cammy would go with her. The opening would be left unattended. The drones could cover it. The lack of communications was a problem. It was more than just the jamming field. All their communications gear was fried.

They were at a disadvantage, a major one.

John wanted to get to the location where Steve's team was at. It was a solid lead on one of the big rigs. It just tanked up with fuel. He wondered if they were in for a protracted journey. He watched the drone footage on his phone. There was the drone over Steve, and the drones around the Skynet bunker. He didn't see much. Maybe it was a good thing.

"Is anything happening around Cammy and Savannah?" John asked.

John Henry made sure everything was covered.

"No." John Henry said. "Nothing is happening in the hills or in the air. I'm searching for everything to make sure nothing can approach them from the outside. The only threat to them would be from the inside at this juncture."

John switched to the other drone feed.

"What about with Steve's team?" John asked.

John Henry hadn't noted any changes since the gas station.

"The drone is watching the truck and the SUV following it." John Henry said.

Bob already gave the scenario some thought. He expected the Grays to pull a fast one earlier. They didn't. They just got fuel. He didn't think they were done.

"If the SUV and truck separate, you need to see where the SUV goes. They may set up an ambush." Bob said. "The big truck will be easier to reacquire."

John Henry felt the same way. He didn't want to get burned with an ambush. It was a tactic often employed by the Resistance. It always proved to be quite effective.

"Those are my thoughts as well." John Henry said.

It felt to John as if they were driving for hours. He wanted to get things resolved.

"Bob, how far away are we?" John asked.

Bob kept careful track of their position. He was given information from both Steve and the drone with him. He worked very hard to close the gap.

"We are twenty one minutes out." Bob said. "I may be able to slice off a few more minutes if I push it a little harder in the straightaways."

John Henry tracked them as well.

"I make it about the same time." John Henry said.

John felt it was close enough for everyone to be on alert. They still needed to worry about the prospect they might encounter other Grays who would be looking for a tail. They could already be prepositioned along the route to protect the location wherever the truck was going.

"John Henry, make sure the girls are ready." John said.

John Henry was a little concerned. Nothing would happen for at least twenty minutes.

"Is there some problem?" John Henry asked.

John didn't want there to be. He was sure it was all a matter of perspective.

"Not if you contact them." John said.

John Henry was sure where things were headed. He didn't want to admit to spying on them earlier through their body cams. He would try to see what John would hint at. He was sure John's indication would be the reality.

"Are they…?" John Henry asked.

John didn't want it to become an issue. He was still concerned about the fuel stop.

"I don't want to know, or find out directly." John said. "Steve, be on the alert. The fuel stop still seems like it took too long, or they were buying time. Nothing may have happened around the gas station, it doesn't mean it didn't happen somewhere else further down the route."

John was afraid the Grays set up an ambush along the path they needed to follow.

Steve followed the earlier recommendation.

"We're allowing the drone to track them. We're out of visual range." Steve said. "There's no indication they're being followed on the road."

John was still worried about everyone. He was out with his troops this time. He didn't like the communication block where Cameron's team was at. He was sure it was causing him a lot less grief now because of it. He knew at some point it would change. He was sure to hear from Cameron. He didn't think it would be anything favorable.

"Everyone stay alert." John said.

John Henry wanted to reassure John the Metal girls would be ready.

"I'll make the other call." John Henry said. "The girls know their duty."

John pictured them actively 'working' on each other. There were a multitude of additional acts and positions they could share as well. He remembered Vanna told him all finishes were good, some were just better. It was probably the same for the Metal girls. He didn't want to get involved.

"Thanks." John said.

John was worried about Cameron, but this is what she did on a regular basis. Much of it was done without his direct involvement. Cameron's team seemed to have the upper hand for now. How long would it last? The drone reports indicated the area was quiet with Savannah and Cammy outside the bunker providing security, along with the drones overhead.

Now he was in the danger zone. Were they all driving into an ambush? What kind of a problem was it going to cause for Cameron? Maybe he should have wondered what kind of a problem it was going to cause for him. He would be the one in the middle of it all when it happened.

The Metal girls made good use of their 'down time' as they drove along behind Bob and John. Two of them were always busy with each other while the third one drove.

Ally was in the back of the van with Gail. Sheila was driving. Sheila decided to stay naked as she drove. It was in case she could make it into the back to be with Gail or Ally again. She was always ready for a finish, especially if it was delivered by another person. Those were always the best. A self finish would work, but it was always better when it was provided by someone else.

Ally looked up at Sheila driving. She was sure they were close to the rendezvous point.

"You need to get dressed." Ally said.

Sheila didn't like Ally to tell her what to do. She looked down at her sheath.

"It's dark out, nobody knows I'm naked." Sheila said. "Besides, I look Hot driving naked."

She also thought it would be a hassle to get dressed while she was driving.

Ally wanted to keep Sheila content. She didn't point out no one could see Sheila but them. She would give her a little flattery instead. She believed it was true. It was true to her anyway.

"You look Hot anytime." Ally said.

Sheila looked back at her and smiled. She planned to reward her extra special the next time they were together. She always liked to be with Ally whenever she could. She did have a sweet spot for Cammy now too. Eight years was a long time to be alone together.

"Thanks, love." Sheila said. "You just bought yourself a few extra finishes."

John Henry called.

"What is it, love?" Sheila asked.

John Henry was aware what was going on. He couldn't see anything currently. He didn't want any problems.

"You should make contact with Steve's team in nineteen minutes." John Henry said. "Is everyone ready?"

Sheila glanced back at Ally and Gail.

"I'm always ready, love." Sheila said. "It doesn't take long to knock one off. I bet it would take you even less time, especially with me."

There was a pause.

It was an idea which crossed John Henry's mind more than a few times.

"I mean ready for combat." John Henry said. "John needs to be protected."

Sheila looked back at Gail and Ally, they were busy. An idea popped into her head. She decided to have a little fun.

"I need one of you to get my body cam." Sheila said.

Ally looked around at the pile of gear and found one. She gave it to Sheila who saw it was already on. She resumed her previous activity.

"I'm sending you my body cam footage." Sheila said. "This is an official transmission this time."

Sheila indicated he knew she was watching them. It was what she wanted anyway. It was why she positioned her body cam so she could be viewed by him, and anyone else privy to the feed. It would obviously include CamNet.

There was a long pause.

John Henry was pleased with what he witnessed. He didn't want to seem as if he was. He didn't want to comment on his previous voyeurism. He wanted to move the current conversation forward.

"You're unclothed, you have nothing on." John Henry said.

Sheila moved the body cam up for a close up of her jewelry.

"I have these on." Sheila said.

She moved one ring up and down as she pulled on it. She showed him all of her jewelry.

John Henry was pleased with the close up images. It was better than any images he viewed on the internet.

"I can see you do." John Henry said. "It's not clothing or your protective gear. It doesn't count."

Sheila laughed.

"It's all a matter of perspective, love." Sheila said.

John Henry was thrilled by the close up Sheila provided. He made sure he captured all the images himself, and not just to his server.

"I must say everything is quite impressive." John Henry said.

Sheila didn't tell him Cammy was the same way. It was up to her to disclose the information. She wanted all of the attention right now for herself.

"If you got it, flaunt it." Sheila said. "Do you know how to spell - HOT?"

John Henry hoped to score a few points.

"S-H-E-I-L-A." John Henry said as he spelled her name out.

Sheila was pleased with the complement.

"See, you're not such a stiff." Sheila said.

John Henry was very 'stiff' right now. It was a different type of 'stiffness' than Sheila referred to.

Sheila lifted the camera to look behind her and over her shoulder.

John Henry was a little surprised. Ally was actively sharing with Gail.

"What are they doing?" John Henry asked.

Sheila was pleased to catch them off guard.

"It's just what it looks like." Sheila said. "They're 'finishing' up."

Ally looked over. She didn't want to be on display.

"Hey, turn it off." Ally said. "Give it back to me."

Ally moved away from Gail and made a lunge for the body cam.

Sheila moved it away and laughed.

Ally looked a little less than pleased right now.

Sheila liked to mess around.

"How much time did you say we needed?" Sheila asked.

Sheila already knew how much it was. She just wanted it to sound like she didn't.

John Henry was pleased with the 'live action'.

"It's seventeen minutes." John Henry said.

Sheila wanted to tease John Henry.

"Hey, I need one of you to drive. I want another round." Sheila said. "Who's ready for some more?"

Gail finished up.

"Which one of us would you like?" Gail asked.

As long as it was a female, Sheila didn't care.

"Does it matter?" Sheila asked. "It doesn't to me. You two decide for me."

John Henry didn't want them to get carried away.

"Make sure you're ready." John Henry said. "I don't want you to get caught off guard if an incident develops."

Sheila wanted to rib him some.

"Oh, you're still there." Sheila said.

She knew he still was.

"Yes." John Henry said.

Sheila was sure John Henry wasn't the only one to watch her body cam footage.

"Did everyone like the show?" Sheila asked.

There was a pause.

John knew he was busted.

"Yes, I did." John said. "I was impressed. Thank you. You are extremely beautiful, everywhere."

Sheila figured John monitored the feed through John Henry, since Bob or John didn't make the call themselves. She wanted to remind John she was 'available'. Cameron programmed it into all of the Metal girls. All John needed to do was 'ask' them. They literally couldn't say 'no'. John was the only male they could be with, especially for their 'first time'. Any violation of the rule was to be followed by chip extraction and deactivation.

"Thanks, you can see everything in person anytime. Remember, all you need to do is ask." Sheila said. "We'll be geared up and ready for combat in ten minutes."

John was pleased.

"Thank you." John said.

Sheila was unsure about which 'thing' John just thanked her for….

Like her next partner, it really didn't matter. Any finish was a good finish, some were just better than others.

Closing monologue by Cameron:

You Can't Be Trusted Anymore

Darkness brightens into light
Each day the sun will still rise
Sometimes it can't be seen
As have been most of my cries

Even if we can't see it
We know it happens anyway
We know what will follow
As the night erodes away the day

We don't always need to see
To know what is going to happen
Even if it is carefully hidden
A face you are secretly slappin'

Life is about choices
It seems you have made yours
It appears what we once shared
Is as extinct as the dinosaurs

Look what you've done
It was you that started a war
Please stay away from me
You can't be trusted anymore

Nobody
