Chapter 2: Welcome to Jarilo-VI

Himeko and Osrelios walk over to the Astral Express, and see March 7th, Dan Heng and Welt Yang all standing by the Express.

"Hey, Himeko is back with Oz!" March exclaimed.

Himeko then cleared her throat to gain everyone's attention.

"Ahem... Welcome our newest member: Oz."

March's eyes widened and Dan Heng seemed to have a lighter expression. Welt didn't seem surprised in the slightest.

March then threw her arms in the air. "Oz is a member! Awesome!"

"As much as it is nice to know that we have a new member, we should head into the Express so our new friend can give us the explanation he owes us." Welt stated.

Welt then lead all of them inside the Express.

They all walk in and Welt leads them to a set of couches.

They all sat down and look at Oz expectantly.

Oz then took a deep breath. "My full name is Osrelios Fudo, I am what's known as a Duelist."

"Duelist?" March questioned.

"Basically, it's my occupation, in a sense. Duelists are people who battle using cards from a card game known as Duel Monsters."

"A card game?" Dan Heng inquires.

"It's a bit more complicated than that. Duel Monsters, while yes it is a card game, has a more spiritual level to it. You see, the cards act as portals for creatures known as Duel Spirits to enter the mortal plain. As you saw with Odd-Eyes Phantom Dragon."

Oz then took out Odd-Eyes card and activated his Duel Disk.

"This device, known as a Duel Disk, acts as a Duelist's catalyst to summoning Duel Spirits. There are three circumstances to when a Duelist can summon a Duel Spirit. The first is during the game itself, known as a Duel. During a Duel, a majority of the time the Spirits have a mostly physical state, which allows them to interact with the environment, but doesn't allow for extremely serious injury to a Duelist."

The 4 nodded.

"The second circumstance is when an outside force allows a Duelist to summon them for real. And when I saw for real I mean they are truly physical and can actually do lasting damage on a person."

"And finally the third circumstance. This one is my second most used circumstance. This one allows for the summon of a Duel Spirit through psychic powers. This can only be done by those who are known as Psychic Duelists. These Duelists have a natural born psychic power, which allows them to actually summon the Spirits for real. I just so happen to be one."

Oz then placed Odd-Eyes card on the Duel Disk and the dragon was summoned.

Odd-Eyes gave out a proud roar when it appeared.

Upon seeing the dragon, March's eyes lit up. "Odd-Eyes!"

March then immediately tackle hugged the dragon.

The dragon then leaned into the affection that March was giving him.

Oz smiled at the scene.

"So you're able to summon creatures just like that?" Welt inquires.

"Pretty much. Each Spirit requires a certain amount of energy to be summoned with. Certain Spirits require energy so great, that even Psychic Duelists can barely give enough. Luckily for me, I have a work around."

"A work around?" Himeko asks.

"This accessory hanging from the chain on my neck is called the Millennium Puzzle. This acts like a Catalyst for Spirit Energy, and can allow me to summon even the strongest of Spirits without straight up collapsing."

"And what kind of Spirits are these stronger ones?" Himeko asked as she then took a sip of coffee.

"Dragons, demonic-like creatures... gods."

Himeko then spat out her coffee and began coughing. Welt and Dan Heng had shocked expressions and March looked up from her hug with Odd-Eyes, also in shock.

Once Himeko stopped coughing, she spoke up. "Gods!?"

"It's really not that many. I only have access to 5. Or more accurately, I lost access to one of them."

"And which one did you lose access to?" Welt asks.

"The strongest of them all. A god known as The Winged Dragon of Ra."

"Ra as in the Egyptian God?" Welt inquired.

"Precisely... Wait, how do you know that."

"Just like how you are not from this universe, neither am I." Welt explained.

"...oh."

Dan Heng then spoke up. "What is the universe you're from like?"

"It's a world that is split between 4 dimensions. Each dimension contains energy exactly the same as the energy given off by specific kinds of Duel Spirits. These energies are Pendulum, Fusion, Synchro, and XYZ. These 4 dimensions have identical planets, but that's the only identical part of them."

"Is there peace among these 4 dimensions?" Himeko asks.

"There is. Well, now at least."

The 4 gave him a look.

Oz then sighed. "That is a story that I really don't want to get into detail."

"Wait, what about the fire electricity and blue energy of yours?" March asked.

"You remember when I mentioned that I have access to 4 gods?"

Everyone nodded.

"Three of them, who are a part of a trio known as the 3 Sacred Beasts, are fused to my very being. My soul."

"Fused?" Himeko questioned.

"Their souls are tied to my own. Thus I can use their abilities to a smaller extent than they can."

Everyone seemed to understand, yes even March.

Oz then heard a small sound. It sounded like something was waddling.

Oz looked down and saw some sort of rabbit like creature staring at him.

"..."

"Welcome new member. I am Pom-Pom. I am the conductor of the Astral Express."

"Nice to meet you." Oz greeted.

Pom-Pom then presented a pin. "Here, take this. This pin will allow you to have all of the benefits of the Trailblaze. Just pin it to your clothes and you will get the benefits."

Oz took the pin. He stated at it for a moment.

He then placed the pin next to another, a pin that had the letters LDS on it.

He then smiled. "I think I'm going to like it here."

"Oh! Let me show you around." March suggested.

"Sure." Oz agreed.

"Awesome! Now come on!"

March then grabbed Oz by the arm and began to drag him.

As Oz was being dragged, he took Odd-Eyes' card off his Duel Disk and deactivated it.

March proceeded to show Osrelios around the Express, showing him the parlor car and the passenger car.

Once they were done, March and Oz walked back to the Parlor car.

A voice then sounded out from the speakers. "Attention everyone! The Express is about to make a jump in 10 minutes. In the meantime please take a seat. That means you Miss March!"

The voice belonged to Pom-Pom.

Oz then turned his head to March.

"...What?" She asks.

"He called you out. Why?"

"I just like to challenge myself to see if I can stand up when we make the jump." March explained.

"And do you?"

"No. But I still try."

Oz then shook his head with a smile and pat March on the head.

Oz then sat down on one of the couches and then proceeded to turn around and stare out the window as the Express was moving.

He stared at the stars and then proceeded to reach his hand towards them.

"Reaching for the stars?" March questioned, beside him.

Oz nodded his head.

"I did the same too once. When I was first thawed from the ice by Himeko, Mr. Yang, and... who was it? Anyway, I thought I saw stars and reached my hand out to them. Only to find out that they were just the lights of the Parlor car. How embarrassing."

"You were frozen in ice? Why?"

"I'm not exactly sure. I don't have any memory of before I was thawed, not even a name. "March 7th was the day they found me, and it kinda just stuck."

"I'm sorry to hear that."

"It's fine. I've gotten over it a long time ago. Now I'm traveling with the Astral Express, hoping to one day find a planet that will help me jog my memories."

"I'm sure we will. When we do, I promise that I'll help you recover them." Oz said with a smile.

March gave a large smile back.

Pom-Pom's voice then sounded over the speaker. "We have reached a safe enough distance from the Space Station. Commencing jump in 10, 9, 8..."

March took this opportunity to get up and walk to the middle of the car. She then started chanting the words "I won't fall over" over and over again as the count down continued.

Once Pom-Pom counted to zero, the Express suddenly went incredibly fast.

It then abruptly stopped a moment later.

Oz looked at March, who was on the ground.

"You okay?"

"I'm good." March said as she put a thumbs up.

Oz then went over to help March back up.

Once he did, the two of them joined Welt and Himeko by the window.

They saw a snow-white planet.

"After many millennia, this is what happened to Jarilo-VI?" Welt questioned.

"Star Rail stability down to 17%." Pom-Pom reports.

"That doesn't sound good." Oz commented.

"You're right. It's not." Himeko stated. "Without proper stability, we can't safely traverse the universe."

"Again? It's almost like every other planet this happens. Don't tell me it's being caused by what I think." March complained.

"That's right. A Stellaron. Much like the one inside of you, Oz." Himeko explained.

"So, this Stellaron is making it so we cannot travel any further, and judging from Mr. Yang's comment, this planet didn't originally look like this. Does that mean that Stellaron is causing the planet to look like a giant snowball?"

"While describing the planet as a 'snowball' isn't exactly the way I would have described it, your observation is accurate." Welt stated.

"I dunno, it looks like a giant snowball to me." March said.

Welt and ignored March's comment. "If we want to continue trailblazing, then we will have to send down a team to be able to seal the Stellaron."

"Which is why we will be sending you along with March and Dan Heng." Himeko continued.

"Himeko are you sure?" Welt questioned.

"I'm sure. I know that you have been itching to get out, but I feel like this would be the perfect opportunity for the kids to get out and learn more about each other. Let them bond." Himeko explained.

"... alright." Welt relented.

"Alright! We get to work together as a team again Oz!" March exclaimed.

"Considering how well our last team up was, this one should be a breeze." Oz commented.

The two then high-fived.

"And here I thought that you weren't high energy like March." Dan Heng commented from the side.

March then jumped. "Ah!"

"Oh, hey. Are you done researching about the planet?" Oz asked.

"Yes. Although I haven't found much."

Dan Heng then caught March staring at him. "Is there something on my face?"

"No. I was just imagining the fun we will have on this adventure." March answered.

"I feel bad for the planet. First the Stellaron, and now you." Dan Heng commented.

"Brutal." Oz commented.

"Aw come on. Don't be such a downer. You're gonna ruin the mood for Oz." March said.

"I'm sure he will be fine. Now let's go."

The trio have now reached the planet.

There was snow everywhere.

"Brr. It's pretty cold here." March complained.

"Maybe next time you should wear more layers." Dan Heng stated.

Oz then surrounded himself with a red glow. The area surrounding him began to warm up. "There. Now we won't freeze."

Dan Heng then raised an eyebrow. "Should you really be using divine powers for something trivial as this?"

"I've used these powers for petty reasons before and haven't gotten reprimanded, so using them to make sure we don't die from hypothermia won't get me in trouble either."

"What kind of petty reasons?" March asked.

"Someone that I had to work with was being too arrogant and annoying, so I ended up setting his clothes on fire when he wasn't looking. It was hilarious to watch him panic and run around screaming."

"Huh." March said.

The trio then began to walk forward.

They encountered monsters of a class known as the Fragmentum, although the monsters were quickly dealt with.

After some walking, the trio encountered a strange mound of snow.

"Hang on... I think someone is hiding in that snow pile." March said.

"It could be a normal pile of snow." Dan Heng stated.

"Nothing escapes my sharp eyes. I saw it move. None of the other snow piles are moving." March explained.

The three walk over. When they did, they could hear breathing.

"Hey! Get out of the snow, do you want to freeze to death?" March stated.

Suddenly the breathing stopped.

"Holding your breath won't help either!" March yelled.

Oz then had a brilliant idea. He took out his sword and changed it into a staff.

Oz spun the staff in his hands before slamming it down onto the snow pile.

A scream then followed.

Soon a blue haired man bursts out of the snow.

"My fine fellow, was that really necessary? Is crawling around in the snow really a crime these days? Surely that doesn't warrant a striking." The man complained.

The man then glanced at all of them before smiling.

"Then again, I must have caught you off guard. I guess I did deserve it a little. Oh, i-is Captain Gepard around? He and I go way back."

The three gave him confused looks. "Who?"

"You're not with the Silvermane Guards? Oh! In that case we are on the same side! The names Sampo Koski."

They all remained silent until Oz spoke up. "I'm Omega."

"What a fine name for a fine fellow." Sampo commented.

Oz then sighed and turned his staff back into a sword and dismissed it.

"Could you take us to the nearest settlement?" Oz asked.

"My my. And we haven't even started trading."

Oz then glared at him, letting himself get surrounded by electricity.

"...But I can do it for free. Kindness is Sampo Koski's middle name after all."

"... Just get moving." Oz said.

Sampo then led the Astral Express Trio towards the nearest settlement.

Sampo took the lead with Dan Heng keeping an eye on him.

March fell even with Oz' pace.

"So, why did you give him a fake name?" March asked.

"He's incredibly suspicious. I have a feeling that he might try to con us the moment he gets the chance." Oz explained.

"Ooooh. Yeah he totally looks suspicious." March agreed.

As the group walks, they then are suddenly confronted by a group of soldiers.

"It's the suspect! And it looks like he has accomplices! Arrest them!" One of the soldiers shout.

"This must be those Silvermane Guards Sampo mentioned." Oz stated.

The trio then turn to look at Sampo, only to not see him.

"... He ditched us." Oz observed.

"Grr. That Sampo! When I get my hands on him, I swear, I-" March began before Oz put a hand on her head to cut her off.

"Let's not worry about that right now."

Oz then walked forward. "Listen. I know it seems like we are with that criminal, but I assure you, we are not. In fact it appears that we were being used by him so he could escape from you guys undetected."

The guards hesitated for a moment.

One guard stepped forward. "How can we be sure that you are telling the truth?"

Everyone then heard a voice. "What is going on here?"

A blonde man wearing a more unique version of the Silvermane Guard outfit walked up from behind the other guards.

"Captain Gepard sir! We found the blue haired suspect with this group right here." One of the guards explained. "It didn't take long for the suspect to disappear, and the brown haired male claims to not be accomplices with the suspect, but rather victims."

"I see... You three! What proof do you have that you are not accomplices to the blue haired suspect?" Gepard asks.

"For one, we are not from this planet." Oz said. He then turned to March. "March you took pictures of the planet right?"

"Sure did!" March exclaimed proudly.

"Good. Could you show them?"

"Oh! Yeah, sure."

March then pulled out a photo of the planet and showed it to the guards.

"Are we really supposed to believe this white sphere is supposed to be our home?" A guard asked.

Gepard appeared to be in thought.

"I do remember reading about Belabog's ancient history. In the text, it mentioned about this planet often receiving visitors from beyond the stars. After the Eternal Freeze, such visits become sparse and stopped outright."

Gepard seemed to have come to a conclusion. "I'll believe you for now. However, I'll need to bring you to the Supreme Guardian."

The soldiers immediately lowered their guard.

Dan Heng then turned to Oz. "Good job preventing a conflict."

"I was just the start. It was thanks to March having a photo of the planet with her is what really prevented the conflict."

"Hehehe. Of course. That's just how I am." March boasted.

Dan Heng let out a sigh as Oz chuckled and placed a hand on March's head.

The guards then led them into a city. Once they got in, they noticed it was significantly warmer, so Oz dismissed his warming aura.

"Welcome to Belabog: Humanities last Bastion." Gepard said.

Gepard led them towards a large building that he called Qlipoth Fort.

Once Oz heard the name, he was reminded of a Duel Monsters archetype.

March ended up asking questions to which Gepard explained.

Once they got to the Fort, they were told to wait outside as Gepard went in.

After a few minutes, Gepard led them into the building and directed them to the office of the Supreme Guardian.

Once they got into the room, they saw a blonde haired woman arguing with a silver haired woman.

"But that's reckless!" The silver haired woman shouted.

The blonde haired woman remained calm and took notice of the Astral Express Crew.

"We have guests. You are dismissed Bronya."

The now named Bronya sighed and turned to leave.

As she passed the Astral Express Crew, she made eye contact with Oz.

During the brief moment the two shared eye contact, they both instantly felt a strange feeling inside of them.

The two paused, unsure of what they felt.

They then both continued on their way as if nothing happened.

As Oz caught up to his friends, he and Bronya both had one thought on their minds. 'What was that feeling?'

"You okay Oz? Your a little pink." March stated.

Oz then snapped out of his thoughts and his face returned to normal. "Huh?"

"Oh. Nevermind." March said.

The blonde haired woman then coughed into her hand. "Ahem."

The Crew then turned their attention to her.

"I am Cocolia Rand, the current Supreme Guardian of Belabog. I received a report from Captain Gepard that you three claim to be from beyond this planet."

"That is true Madam Supreme Guardian." Oz said while placing a hand on his chest and giving a slight bow.

If there was one thing that he's learned from his adventures, especially a few from the Spirit Realm, is that, to keep unnecessary conflict from rising, it is necessary to show respect to a figure of authority, even if he knows they are corrupt.

As soon as he saw Cocolia, he could tell she was a corrupt authority. She gave off a similar feeling to an old enemy: Leo Akaba.

"Well then. I welcome you to Belabog, interstellar travelers."

"Wait! You believe us?" March exclaimed.

"I have all the proof that I need to believe you. For one, your clothing doesn't match anything found on this planet, not to mention how no one with a sensible mind would wear a skirt without proper layers to go along with it."

March felt personally attacked by that comment.

"Second is the photo provided by Captain Gepard's report. Only someone who wasn't on the planet could have taken such a photo."

Cocolia then placed a hand over her chest. "Now, what may be the reason for your visit to our humble bastion?"

"To put a long story short, we are here to help solve this planet's crisis. The Eternal Freeze as we heard it was called." Dan Heng explained.

Cocolia appeared to be in thought. She then spoke up after a minute. "What is the catch?"

"Excuse me?" Dan Heng said.

"The catch. Surely you three aren't doing this purely out of the goodness of your heart. What's in it for you?"

Oz then spoke up. "Truth be told, our vessel isn't able to get past this planet because of the source of this planet's crisis. An object known as a Stellaron. You are right that we aren't doing this completely out of the goodness of our hearts. Think of it like this: if we team up to solve this crisis, both parties benefit. It's a win-win scenario."

"I see..." Cocolia then went quiet again. "... Then I am happy to say that I accept your help. You may go explore the city for now, and when you are ready, go to the Goethe Grand Hotel. There you will find lodging for the nights you will be staying here."

"Thank you Madam Guardian." Dan Heng said.

The three then turned and left. As soon as they were out the door, they stopped.

"Did anyone else catch something off about her?" Dan Heng asked.

"Oh, good. I'm not the only one." Oz commented.

"What are you too talking about? She seemed really nice." March stated.

"March. She gave off a similar feeling to an enemy of my past." Oz explained. "An enemy who was a corrupt ruler who manipulated those around him to get what he wanted. And he would stop at nothing to get it."

"I dunno. I think you two are overthinking things. Now come on! Let's go explore the city!" March said as she ran ahead.

Oz and Dan Heng then shared a look.

"She's too innocent for her own good." Oz commented.

"She is." Dan Heng agreed.

As Oz and Dan Heng walked out of the building, Oz had a one thought about March.

'She really is like Leo and Luna. I think I'm starting to see her as a little sister.'

Oz and Dan Heng joined March in exploring. While they were, Oz noticed a shop that was selling a bunch of different sweatshirts.

Suddenly a strange feeling came over Oz. He had an urge to go and buy as many sweatshirts as possible. It was strange seeing as he's never had a feeling like this before.

With the Stellaron Hunters, Kafka and Silver Wolf were hanging out.

Kafka then had a thought. "Hey, Wolfie. You know how supposedly, by me touching the Stellaron, it was to give a bit of genetic influence to the new host?"

Silver Wolf then looked up from her game. "Yeah?"

"What do you think was passed from me to our replacement host?"

"I dunno, probably his own version of your habit of buying as many coats as possible. His version most likely is with sweatshirts since we saw him wearing one."

Kafka then giggled a little. "In that case, if it's ever just me and him, perhaps we can go on a shopping spree together."

Unable to resist his urge, Oz ended up going into the store and grabbed as many sweatshirts he could find that fit him.

When he went to check out, the cashier gave him a weird look. "Do you even have enough shield to buy all this?"

Oz, knowing that he definitely did not, used the next best thing.

He placed an entire bar of gold on the counter.

The cashier then looked at him in shock as he smiled awkwardly and took his pile of sweatshirts and left.

Oz exited the store and walked towards March and Dan Heng.

Bronya, who was nearby trying to calm herself down from her argument with Cocolia, could see Oz walking up to March and Dan Heng, carrying a ridiculous amount of sweatshirts in his arms.

"Hey guys, I think I have a problem." Oz said as he walked over to his friends.

"What's the- Oz why do you have so many sweatshirts!?" March exclaimed.

"I had a really strange urge to buy a bunch of sweatshirts from a shop." Oz explained.

"An urge!? This is a problem! How did you even pay for all of this!? We don't even have any of the local currency!?"

"I used gold." Oz answered.

"Gold!?"

"Yeah... money wasn't really a problem for me before I joined the Astral Express, but whenever I had a financial problem, I'd always resort to using some gold to pay for things."

"Wait... that means you gotta be super rich. Come on Oz! Let's go shopping!" March exclaimed as she grabbed Oz by the arm.

Before she could pull him, all the sweatshirts seemed to disappear in a mote of lights. No one was surprised by that since it was common for people to be able to store things in pocket spaces.

Once all the sweatshirts were gone, March dragged Oz off, and Dan Heng sighed and then followed.

Bronya ended up silently laughing at the scene that played out in front of her. Any signs of frustration were gone.

Back with Oz and the others, March had just gotten done with grabbing as much as she could carry and getting Oz to pay for it.

When the shopping was done, they ended up visiting a repair shop and met a woman named Serval.

Eventually they ended up going to the hotel to rest for the night.

Before Oz fell asleep, he was recounting the day. Having arrived in another universe, fighting the Doomsday Beast, and becoming a part of the Nameless.

When he finally did fall asleep. He ended up having a strange dream of Cocolia Rand talking to someone, or rather something.

When he woke up in the morning, he could already tell that something was wrong.

He walked out of his room and met with March and Dan Heng.

"Somethings wrong isn't it?"

"I could see Silvermane Guards outside the hotel. They do not look friendly." Dan Heng explained.

"Why would they look so aggressive if they are here to escort us to Cocolia?" March wondered.

"It's obvious." Oz started. "We've been betrayed. They're probably here to jail us. Cocolia probably created some false evidence so no one will question her."

Oz then began to leave the hotel, March and Dan Heng following.

Once they got outside a guard immediately told them to go down the stairs.

When they did they saw Bronya along with a short blue haired girl and a bunch of guards.

Oz recognized the blue haired girl as a girl named Pela, who he saw yesterday when she was teaching a bunch of children. Oz heard her mention her own name.

Bronya then spoke up. "I am Bronya Rand, acting commander of the Silvermane Guards. In the name of the Amber Lord, and under order of the Supreme Guardian, I hereby arrest you three under the charge of plotting to incite rebellion."

Oz then got on guard. "Tch. Knew it." He said quietly.

Oz then noticed a Fragmentum Portal nearby.

Oz stepped close to March and Dan Heng and began to talk quietly.

"I see an escape route. On my mark, we run."

"What signal?" March questioned.

"Something that you'll be talking about for a while." Oz answered.

"Hey! You three better not be planning an escape." Bronya scolded.

Oz then stepped forward. "No, no. Of course not. We know that we've been captured and there's nothing we can do about it."

Oz then reached a hand to a deck box and grabbed two cards.

"Before you escort us away, do you want to see some magic?"

Bronya then immediately pulled out her rifle and aimed it at Oz.

"Woah, woah. It's just harmless magic."

Bronya then lowered her weapon. "Fine. Just this once."

"Thank you." Oz said.

He then turned his hand around and revealed the two cards.

The two cards are Kuriboh and Multiply.

"Here's a simple card trick I learned from someone who held the title of King of Games."

Oz' eyes glowed as he activated the two cards without his Duel Disk, he then smirked. "It's called the Infinite Kuriboh trick!"

Suddenly, Kuriboh appeared and began to multiply at an alarming rate.

The Kuriboh immediately got in the way of the guards along with Bronya and Pela, pushing them all to the ground.

The Astral Express Crew then made a run for it to the Fragmentum Portal. Oz could be heard laughing from his trick.

Bronya, Pela and the guards at first panicked at the idea of being swarmed by unknown creatures, but their panick was quickly replaced by confusion when all the Kuribohs did was snuggle against them.

When the swarm of Kuriboh began to fade, Bronya sat up, with a Kuriboh rubbing its face against Bronya's head. She turned to see Pela actually hugging a few of them.

Pela then noticed Bronya staring at her. "What? They're cute."

Bronya then sighed and gently pulled the Kuriboh off her head.

She looked at it and silently admitted that it was indeed cute.

All of the Kuriboh then completely faded.

Bronya then got serious. "The suspects have entered the Fragmentum. We will pursue them. Pela, you stay back."

Bronya then entered the Fragmentum along with a group of guards.

Cutting back to the Astral Express Crew, Oz was still laughing from the trick he pulled.

"Hahaha! I've always wanted to do that!"

"Oz, that was awesome!" March cheered.

"Although a bit childish, it was effective." Dan Heng stated. "We should get moving. They might follow us through the portal."

The three then continue forth.

Any Fragmentum monster they come across was defeated quickly.

The trio also had to dodge a few guards.

Eventually they were cornered by Bronya and her group.

"Give it up. We have you surrounded. You have nowhere else to flee."

The trio then got ready for a fight.

A few Silvermane Guards approached them from the front.

Oz surrounded his body with electricity.

He then noticed a small gap between the guard's helmet and chest plate. He had an idea.

Charging at one of the guards, he jammed his pointer and middle finger into the gap.

He then sent electricity through his body to his hand.

The guard was immediately electrocuted.

The guard fell unconscious.

Oz jumped back and noticed the looks of everyone. "He's only unconscious. That was only enough voltage to knock him out."

March then let out a breath she was holding. "Phew. I thought you hurt him seriously."

"Not my style." Oz responded.

Oz then summoned his sword and morphed it into a staff.

The ends of the staff were covered in the same amount of electricity as was used in the unconscious guard.

As the guards charged, the trio did well to fend them off.

March would shoot them with ice arrows, freezing them in place.

Dan Heng and Oz would hit any guard that got too close. Dan Heng used the blunt end of his spear.

Dan Heng had to hit them harder than Oz would, seeing as he couldn't knock them out with electricity.

Once all of the guards were knocked out, Bronya then stepped forward.

"That was a crafty move back there. Using those admittedly adorable creatures as a distraction." Bronya said with a bit of pink in her cheeks.

The pink disappeared as she got focused. "But this is as far as you go!"

She then got out her rifle and took aim.

She shot at March, and in response Oz got in front of her and took the hit.

"Oz! Are you alright!?" March exclaimed.

Oz then shrugged off the attack like it was nothing.

"That attack was an elemental attack. If it was a real bullet, that might have done damage. Otherwise, I'm fine."

Oz then ran forward and tried to hit Bronya with the electrified ends of the staff.

Bronya dodged each one with ease.

She then hit Oz with the back end of her rifle. Using the hit, she got even further away from his reach.

"You're skilled." Oz complimented.

"Same to you." Bronya said back.

Bronya tried to fire a few more rounds at them, but they were dodged.

They 4 seemed to be at a stalemate.

Bronya couldn't get a hit in, neither could March.

Dan Heng couldn't hit Bronya as she was dodging too well.

Oz could have ended the fight instantly, but he was too worried about causing lasting damage with how strong his powers are. He didn't want to seriously hurt anyone, and he also didn't want to end up with actual criminal charges.

Before anyone could do anything else, a voice broke out. Sampo's voice.

"Oops. Looks like I've chosen the perfect time to interrupt."

A bunch of canisters began to land in between the 4.

The canisters began to emit gas.

Everyone started to cough. "Amnestic gas!" Oz exclaimed.

Bronya, March and Dan Heng then all fall unconscious, and Oz was slowly loosing consciousness himself.

He could barely see the figure of Sampo slowly approach.

"I don't let a debt go unpaid my fine friend. After all, I do what I say and say what I do."

With that, Oz fell unconscious.
