A/N: Prompt: Prank Wars! (up to your imagination)

Maverick had the most wonderful, perfect, stupidest idea known to all of mankind. And no, it wasn't necessarily an overstatement. He was tiptoeing softly to the locker room, a bag slung over his shoulder. The others hadn't arrived to the hanger just yet, so this was the perfect time to do it. He glanced around the hallways, seeing no one and opened the door.

Bob looked up at him from his chair where he'd been zipping up his flight suit. "Morning Mav." He spoke.

Darn it. Maverick thought, "Good morning." he said out loud.

Bob looked at him up and down, seeing the bag and Maverick's stance. He grinned, "Whatcha looking for?"

"Erm...do you know what I'm doing?" he asked.

Bob smirked, "Of course I do. By the way, I'd put it in the helmets. They'd never know what hit them."

"Perfect! How'd you know?" Maverick asked, reaching into Rooster's locker and taking out his helmet.

"I've heard about things." Bob said, grabbing Payback's and Fanboy's helmets. He placed them down, "Do you need help?"

"Oh yes, I'd love to have some help. That way they can't completely blame me." Maverick laughed, grabbing something from his bag. It was glitter. Pink glitter. Bob grinned and held out Rooster's helmet. Maverick opened the glitter tube and poured the container in. He giggled like the mischievous child he really was. They both continued with their cheekiness.

They heard footsteps nearing the door and quickly put the helmets back in the lockers. Maverick hid the glitter in his bag again and slung it over his shoulder. Hando walked into the room and eyed them suspiciously. "What are you two doing?" he asked.

"Nothing." Maverick said quickly.

"Riiiighhhttt." Hando replied, looking at Bob.

Bob shrugged, "Just something funny. Could you film?"

Hando started grinning, "Sure I can film."

Bob winked, "Great, just start filming when the others are getting ready to fly."

Hando nodded, "Deal."

Rooster kept noticing Maverick's glances and smiles. It was odd. Maverick never really did that unless he'd done something stupid. But nothing was happening, so, he shrugged it off. He walked to his locker and grabbed his things. He was almost ready to get into his plane when Phoenix called him. "Hey, Rooster! Do you have a minute?"

"Yeah. What's up?" he asked.

"Have you...noticed anything weird about Bob?" She asked.

"No, why? Is he okay?" Rooster asked, frowning.

"He's just...acting weird." Phoenix admitted.

"I'm sure it's nothing. If it were something, he'd tell us, right?" Rooster asked.

"I don't know." Phoenix said.

"Alight guys!" Maverick called out, a grin on his face, "Put your helmets on and let's go dogfight."

There was a chorus of 'yes sirs' and Rooster put on his helmet. He instantly felt something like sand poured over his head. He blinked rapidly to get the stuff out of his eyes and took off his helmet. Pink glitter. He heard other moans and grumbling and glanced around. Hangman had blue glitter on him, Phoenix had red glitter, Payback had green glitter, and Fanboy had purple glitter on him. He glanced around the other and saw Hando recording the whole thing with his phone, Maverick was doubled over in laughter, and Bob had the perfect poker face on.

"MAVERICK!" Rooster yelled, "You're in for it now!"

No one suspected Bob to be part of it. Instead, they suspected that Bob was Maverick's favorite. This allowed perfect opportunities for to set up more pranks.
