For the very first time in weeks, Bobby slept in all the way up to eleven. Waking up in his brightly lit room, while blinking a few times. Bobby had to slowly remind himself that since he no longer has his job at Lally's or doesn't have any other shifts today for that matter, he can completely afford to take it slow when it came to getting out of bed today.

It honestly felt rather odd to wake up this late in the morning during what used to be a work day, especially at this time, when he would either be wiping up the tables or giving out candy to the customers by now.

Slowly getting himself out of bed, Bobby proceeds to do his morning routine in a much more slow pace than usual. Coming out of the bathroom, he took a quick look around his house only to discover that he was the only one here. He knew his mother would have been at work by now and it looks like Ronnie Anne headed out while he was busy in the shower.

Seeing how he is home alone, Bobby made himself a quick bowl of cereal for breakfast and then sat himself down in front of the TV. Switching it on, he flips the channels; until finally settling on watching some classic Tom and Jerry cartoons, which was sure a hoot as it always manages to make him laugh, such as right now, which did help him forget that he would've been putting in some fresh candy on the shelves.

He watches Tom and Jerry along with a bunch of Looney Tune cartoons for about an hour and a half, until he eventually got bored with watching TV and shuts it off before taking his now empty plate into the sink. After doing that small task, all he really did now was just stand there pondering on what to do next?

Should he head over to the mall? Have a text conversation or go out with his girlfriend? Or log onto his Minecraft world and finish building his full replica of the entire city of Chicago? With this sudden downtime, the possibilities are endless for him.

It wasn't until he happened to glance on over to the corner of the counter and noticed the medium pile of bills, that it completely halted his thoughts on doing any activities.

Stepping in for a closer look, his eyes widen and his anxiety grew to a critical level for the bills demanded a good chunk of money for the water; to make it more worrisome, he took immediate notice of the deadline that threatened to shut off the water, if it wasn't paid off within the end of the week.

"Curse my daily shower routine!" It must be the reason why the water bill is so critically high! Now he knows his mother said not to worry about it, but what if her and his checks weren't enough to cover it? They couldn't live without running water. This only outright proves that he needed to get another job! Without one; first it will be the water, then the other necessities to run a home.

He couldn't let that happen. So; rushing into his room, Bobby fully intended to hop right onto his computer to search for any job openings in Hazeltucky, but suddenly he stopped right near the edge of his bed for looking to an area of the floor near his hamper laid the business card Dave Miller had given him yesterday. It must've fallen out of his pocket when he tossed his pants into the hamper last night.

Going over, he leans down and picked the card up, bringing it quite close to his face just so he can study the phone number in consideration.

Dave did offer him a job, but he was still very hesitant on working an entire night shift. Like what he exactly said to his family last night, he didn't want to accidentally sleep through his other shifts. With that in mind, he went to place the card down on his desk, but then stopped halfway when his mind suddenly flashes over to the pile of bills on the counter, then to a sad future where he; along with the rest of his family are sitting in a dark living room with dirty clothes and noxious smells raising out of their bodies.

The sad, imaginary image is enough to make him gasp out loud and look back down to the card with much more reconsideration. He was perhaps much too hasty, he could perhaps find some way to juggle working a full night shift, a good time of sleep, and still keep his other jobs at the same time.

He could do it. He was sure of it for a Santiago never gives up.

With his final decision set in mind. Bobby sits himself down onto his chair, pulled out his phone and put down the phone number from the card. Sending in the call, he places the phone next to his ear, waited passed two rings before the other end finally answered and the deep voice of Dave Miller came through from the other side.

"Hello?"

"Hey Mr. Miller. It's me, Bobby Santiago."

"The man with the many jobs, but can't work late night shifts." He remarked.

"Yep. That's me. Um; look man. I changed my mind, I'll take the job."

Dave's voice lightens up in delight over the great news. "I knew you would change your mind. I guarantee you that you won't regret this decision in the slightest."

"Cool. So; where do I sign up?" Does he need to go back to the job counselor's office or somewhere else for an application?

"I'll give out the good word for you to the owner. In fact; you can start out tonight."

"That's very nice of you Mr. Miller." He didn't have to wait for the application to be approve. He can just get to work.

"Call it a nice gesture from a friend. Now; let me tell you the address. You might want to write this down."

"Right, good idea." Grabbing ahold of both a piece of paper from his journal and a black pen. Bobby listened very carefully to Dave's instructions on how to get there, along with writing down the address of the place, the most important piece of information among these directions, which by really looking at it; the place seemed to be located right at the eastern edges of town. A place with very few businesses that are barely still operating and where its much more forested. Whatever this place was? It sure was out of the way.

"Now before I leave you to get yourself ready for your first night. Let me give you a little backstory to get you a little acquainted with your new job. This place was huge a few years ago with the kids, it was once the most popular place in town, but then it sadly got shut down two years ago. Now; it's just a husk of what was once a grand attraction for Royal Woods. The only reason they haven't given it the wrecking ball treatment is because the owner's a bit of a... Well, he's kind of a sentimental guy, I guess. Just can't bring himself to let it go yet."

"So I'm guarding an old building?" That should be a bit easy, perhaps he can catch some sleep some time in his shift. After all; it's not like crime happens a lot in Royal Woods.

"Yep. Had some problems over the years of break-ins. Mostly from vandals and drunks, became a problem enough to start hiring guards to scare them off. I wouldn't worry too much about it though, with where it's located. I doubt you'll have many visitors."

"Do I get a baton?" He didn't want to hurt anyone, but it would be nice to have something to defend himself with.

"No. But you do have a flashlight that's thick enough to whack people with." A series of chuckles then cuts through in great amusement over the image of Bobby hitting someone on the head with a flashlight, all the while Bobby patiently waited for Dave to finish his chuckle fest. He eventually does and then continues on with his information of the place.

"The security system's fully functional. There are floodlights on the outside right along with security cameras that are also position on both the inside and outside of the building. Fair warning, the electricity is a bit iffy. If anything happens, there is a breaker in the main office. Just flip it whenever the electricity starts going haywire. Uh, I guess that's about it. The rest is pretty easy. Just keep your eyes on the monitors and keep people out. Piece of cake."

Writing everything down to the very last sentence. Bobby puts in a period and is very much satisfied with the word by word instructions that will greatly help him in the long run of this new job. "Alright; faulty electrical power, use the breaker to restart it, and keep very close eye on the monitors. Okay; I think I got all of it."

"Good. You just need to remember all that I told you and your going to do just fine. Alright. I'll talk to you on the flip side." Hanging up from the other end, Bobby is left pondering on what he had just gotten himself into. He finally gotten himself a job and can help out his family, but on the other hand; this night guard gig is going to be in some abandon building on the eastern edges of town. He guesses that it'll probably be a old retail store, some warehouse, or maybe a restaurant.

Whatever it was. He is very sure that he is going to like it. But if there is one thing that he is a bit concern about, it was telling his mother about it.

"So you took that new job and it's at the eastern edges of town?" Coming home from her shift at around six thirty. Maria was exhausted and couldn't wait to take a short, little nap.

She had just sat herself down on the couch, when Bobby nervously came out of his room and told her about the new job he recently taken.

To say it woken her up a bit is a tad of an understatement, especially when he revealed about the location of where this place is. "I'm not so sure about this Bobby. The area is way too far from home and in a remote area. You might run into some thugs or something worse over there."

"I know mom, but I'm going to be having this flashlight to protect me from any danger." Bobby reassured his worried mother.

"And what about your sleeping schedule?" She countered.

"I figured it all out. I'll find a right time to slip into some sleep, then after my shift. I'll sleep for an hour and a half in the morning. It's a very solid plan." He remarked with a smile.

"I'm still not so sure about this." Maria exclaimed in even more worry. She just couldn't help but think about a rough gang of thugs hiding in the bushes before ambushing and giving him a very brutal beating that will either send him to the hospital or worse.

"I promise mom. I'm going to be absolutely fine and if things get a bit crazy. I'll quit on the spot." To solidify the promise, Bobby places a hand on his chest.

Maria's eyes shift to unsure as she deeply considered her decision about Bobby's new job. She eventually lets out a short, deep sigh for this might be a very foolish decision on her part. "Alright Roberto. But just please be careful when you get there."

"I'll be super careful. Besides; how bad can this job be?"

After heading on over to the job counselor's building first, just in order to collect the keys for the place from Dave. Bobby is now well on his way over to his new job location.

Seeing how it was a bit far, he takes the family car in order to get there. He asked his mom if it would be alright and she told him it would be fine as he clearly needed it more than she did at the moment. If she needed to go over to the hospital sometime later in the night or if Bobby wasn't home before her morning shift started, she'll simply take the bus for work or ask one of her friends to pick her up.

He felt a little bad about taking the car, but overall really appreciated it as it would've taken a bit longer if he had just taken his bike and by seeing how the road started to get a little bumpy, it was probably a bit more safer.

Outside the car; the sky is dark with no moon to give out a glow. Buildings are sparse with many of them boarded up with their signs ripped off, leaving behind their marks. For the buildings that are still open, they were lit up with the faint outlines of people walking, standing, or sitting down. The trees and vegetation however is the complete opposite with how frequent and dense they were, they could easily hide something or someone with how thick it is.

It was about eleven thirty; by the time Bobby found the place. Pulling into the parking lot, he passes by a tipped over sign that had a outline of a figure on the top and the word closed embedded on it.

Looking at the building itself as he slowly went to park near the entrance, Bobby is pleasantly surprise to see that the building he was going to guard is one of those pizza themed restaurants. He loved those restaurants, mainly because he used to go to Spunky E. Pigeon's Pizza Palooza Paradise when he was a kid. There was just something about that animatronic band that always entertained him, right along with the awesome games he always used to play.

He didn't know that Royal Woods had one of these restaurants or that it had a bear as the mascot from what he saw from the sign that had a smiling bear in a top hat and black bowtie, cheerfully raising his hand up for people to come inside. From what he can also make out through the darkness, it seems that this place is called Freddy Fazbear's Pizza.

"Nice"

Parking the car. Bobby steps on out and shuts the door, where he makes absolutely sure to lock it. He then walked on up to the gate that blocked the entrance, where he uses the key to unlock the padlock and then removes the chains holding the gate together.

Moving the gate aside, he enters into the building and found himself in a lobby that had a front desk on the right, a sticker and prize machines on the left, two posters with kids either eating cheesy pizza or laughing in the middle of a birthday party, but the main attraction is a archway with lightbulbs following the outer outline of the arch and a colorful welcome sign above it.

Walking towards the archway, Bobby took notice of the ceiling light above him slightly flickering. A bit odd, but Dave did say that the electricity was a bit finicky in here.

Finally going through the archway, he enters into the main room of the restaurant, which he'll explore later for as of right now, he needs to find the main security office.

Looking around, he spots a door with employees only on the far right, he bets a million dollars it's behind that door.

Going pass the door. He now finds himself in a hallway with an emergency exit at the very end, while there are about three doors with one on the left and two on the right. There are also more posters with the one closest to him displaying the bear with a bunny and chicken jamming on stage together, while a pirate fox sailed on a pirate ship with a wooden telescope in his hand on the bottom left corner of the poster. Up above the singing cartoon animals; Freddy Fazbear's is in bold, golden letters with fireworks exploding above either end.

"Cool poster." Walking ahead, he passes by two other posters displaying the bunny replacing the Sphinx in Egypt and the chicken eating piles of pizza in front of the Leaning Tower Of Pisa, which really amused him for some reason.

He at last comes up to the door of the security office, turning the handle, he opens the door and found a office that had a desk of monitors with a striped cup, crumbled papers, and a metal fan. In front of the desk is a black, swivel chair; a comfy place for him to sit down at.

As for the rest of the office; there is a table for employees to hang around at, three shelves full of items, a dart board on the wall, lockers in the back of the room, and hanging above the monitors is a poster of the bear, bunny, and chicken with the word celebrate above them.

"Okay Bobby. This is going to be the place where your going to be spending your first week at. All you need to do is turn on the breaker and begin your shift." Finding the main breaker near the door. Bobby grabs hold of the red lever, that with a bit of a heave, pulls it down and is rewarded with the sounds of the power turning on.

Outside; the sign flashes to life like a beacon with the smaller lights flashing around it like the front of a movie theater.

Back in the office; Bobby switches on the lights as well as the fan for it was a little bit hot in here. With that done, he sets himself down on the chair and switches on the monitors, gaining a live view through every camera in and out of the building.

Looking through one that showed the lobby, Bobby switches to a back hallway, an arcade area, the hallway leading to the office, then finally to the front of a large stage with curtains closed. So far; there wasn't anything amiss, but as a night guard. He needed to be diligent and completely focused.

"Hey what's this?" Suddenly looking over to a TV with a VHS player below it on the very end of the desk. Bobby quickly took notice that a tape had his name written on it from a black marker.

"Looks like the owner left me a training tape." He might as well see it as it could help him out.

Reaching over, he pushes the tape in and turns on the TV, which at first played nothing but white static; before switching over to a red and yellow wallpaper with cheesy rock music playing in the background. The red and yellow wallpaper is then replaced with a lively scene of a bustling arcade: lights are flashing, high scores and other background noise play out to the children and teens playing them, looking closely; Bobby noticed several familiar faces amongst the crowd.

"Hey. There's: Chad, Clyde, Liam, and Becky. Man; aren't they having a blast."

The video continues to show the busy arcade as a girl with long, brown hair stepped into view with a very pleasant smile. "Welcome to Freddy Fazbear's Pizzeria. A magical place for kids and grown-ups alike. Where fantasy and fun come to life. If you're watching this video, it means that you have been selected to be Freddy's newest security guard, lucky you!"

That's funny. Bobby could've swore he heard that voice before, but he didn't know where.

Back on the video; the girl is walking alongside the arcade, passing by a group of kids who are currently playing the Wheel Of Fortune. "The person who helped create this wonderful place was a family man, who wanted to have a fun place for families to both have a good time and enjoy tasty food."

The scene then suddenly switched on over to a room with a endoskeleton being refitted with fresh new wires on some kind of chair. The girl quietly watched the working technician before turning back to fully address the camera. "Being inspired by famous restaurants such as: Spunky's and Showbizz. The owner decided to have the most cunning hand, animatronic band in the world. Why it's thanks to his business partner's, robotic engineering skills; that he was able to gain animatronics with very life-like movements. That also enables them to walk freely a bit on the stage."

Switching over to the corner of the said stage. The girl stood in front of a red button on the wall in excitement. "Let me introduce you to the stars of the show!"

Pushing the button; the camera quickly switched to parting curtains. But at exactly this moment, the screen became fuzzy and glitched out a bit, blurring out three figures dancing and singing on stage. Through this sudden glitch; a deep, robotic scream cried through as a yellow bear face with dark eyeholes and gaping mouth, chipped through the static, spooking Bobby a bit before chuckling to himself.

"Heh. That was a good one. Must've been put there to scare new employees." He experienced it before on some of his jobs. The veteran employees would sometimes pull pranks on the newbies with either simple bouncy balls filling the cabinets to the classic scare prank with fake rats, snakes, spiders, halloween props, and of course the very simple; loud screaming underneath a scary mask bit.

He's gotta admit though, this prank was very top of the line.

Back on the TV; the static finally ends as it cuts right back to the girl laughing in delight over the performance. "Adorable aren't they? Being the new security guard. It's now your job to protect these cuddly critters and the technology that brings them to life. It's very preparative to keep Freddy Fazbear's alive for future generations of kids to come a-" The screen then suddenly freezes on her smiling face, it then glitches some more before outright cutting right back to the blue screen.

"Well, that was interesting." Turning off the TV, Bobby gets himself off the chair and headed for the locker, but then he suddenly stopped in his tracks as a startling conclusion came to him. "Oh my gosh! That girl is Heidi Heifer! I knew I recognize that voice."

What a small world, he should congratulate her for gaining such a high praising job at one of the best theme parks on Earth.

Anyway; he better put on his uniform, which should be right inside this locker. Opening it; he is met with a wide grinning face.

"Oh my goodness!" Slamming the locker shut! Bobby places a hand on his beating chest for he sure wasn't expecting that. Calming himself down, he this time, slowly opened up the locker and saw that the grinning face belonged to a figurine of a boy wearing a propeller hat, while holding a bunch of balloons in one hand and a balloon sign in the other one.

Picking up the Balloon Boy, Bobby notices a small button on the chest and pushes it. "Hello"

Feeling that the figurine was a tad too creepy for his liking. Bobby tosses it into the other locker and firmly shuts it inside. Having that out of the way, Bobby takes out a black, security vest that he then put on.

Looking down at himself; he thought he looked rather good in this vest, so good in fact; that he took out his phone and took a quick selfie.

After posting the selfie with #First Night As Night Guard, on his Facebook account. He reached into the locker again, where this time he pulls out the flashlight for now it was time to explore his work space.

Coming back into the main room, Bobby took quick notice on how big it was as he slowly scanned the light from left to right, passing by tables and booths with glass decorations of the characters imprinted on them.

Aiming forward; his light falls upon a order window where people would have gotten their pizza right along with other kinds of foods. Above the window; a yellow menu is proudly displayed for people to select out their orders.

Walking left. Bobby slowly began to scan along the walls that had pizza wheels with their slices taken off before laying his light on a wall filled with children's drawings. Fully looking at them; he took note on the drawings showing children having fun with the animal mascots either giving them pizza, presents, or jamming out; although for one, the pirate fox is swinging on a rope with his hooked hand raised up. Among all these pictures however, the one that really stood out the most is a large drawing of a yellow rabbit being in the middle of a line of five children, all happily holding each other's hands.

He didn't know why he was drawn to this particular drawing, it was innocent enough. There was just something out of place about it; as if it hid a much bigger image.

Looking at it a bit more, Bobby then shakes his head and continued his exploration of the room, passing right by a few rocking rides, shaped like rockets before entering the arcade area.

The arcade was filled with all types of games from racing, shooters, classics, skee ball table, basketball hoops, claw machines and other prize games, and in the very back is a play area with colorful slides leading into a ball pit surrounded by a net.

He has seen several of these games at Gus's, but for some; he only seen them at bigger arcades such as the one near the dentist's office.

Going around the arcade in a lap. He soon exits it and shined the light across the room, right over to the prize counter that stood about five feet to the left of the order window. From what he could mostly see from here, the counter had plushies, masks, and a box holding a robotic dog for the top prize. Shiny further left, Bobby found the doors for the restrooms; a very important location in case he has an emergency.

Taking a step ahead to have a closer look at the restrooms, a loud bang makes him jump and spin his light to where it came from; the show stage.

"Hello! Is anyone there?" Oh man, he really hoped that was just something falling back there. He didn't want to deal with an intruder on his very first night on the job

Slowly, he tip-toes his way up to the right side of the stage where three steps lead up to it. Putting one foot on the second step, he gets his flashlight ready to whack someone as his hand reached out for the edge of the curtain. Gripping it; he opens the curtain and is met with a large, animal face.

Jumping back from the appearance, Bobby shined his light at the face, revealing itself to be the bunny with half closed eyes, plastered grin, and a electric guitar being held in its hands. Calming down a bit, although it was a bit creepy looking, Bobby slowly shined his light on over to the other two, shadowy figures next to the bunny.

One was the chicken with a half open mouth, closed eyes, while a cupcake is being held on a plate near its chest. The other one was Freddy Fazbear himself, poised to start singing into his raised up microphone.

He couldn't see anyone else in here or anything on the floor. Leaving Bobby to only come up with that something fell within the walls, most likely a animal.

Closing the curtain, Bobby steps away from the stage, then turned around to face a much more smaller stage. Checking behind its curtains, he found the pirate fox with its eye closed and arms dangling on its side with that sharp hook being rather uncomfortably close to his face.

"Why would they have a robot with a sharp hook for a hand in a kid's restaurant?"

Studying it a bit more, Bobby pulls away from the curtain and with nothing else to look over. He heads on back for the security office.

Over the pass three hours, Bobby checked in-between his phone for the latest posts online and the cameras for any activity. He locked the security door, so he didn't need to worry about anyone trying to get in here if they come in through the emergency exit door.

He didn't know when, but around near three AM. He leaned down on the desk with his head resting on his crossed arms and fallen asleep.

Through his sleep, he doesn't notice the speaker position on the wall, turning on with a fuzzy sound coming through it or that on the camera positioned on the show stage. The bunny's eyes have turned to look at the camera.

"Alright Bobby. Just remember everything we practiced, and you'll be zooming down this hill." Standing at the top of the steepest hill in the neighborhood. Bobby looked down it with the deepest anxiety for after doing a few simple lessons on riding a bike, his dad felt like that it was time for him to start riding down hill.

"Are you sure I'm ready dad? What if I crash on the curb?" He can see a bush near the curb that he might find himself halfway lodged in with his legs dangling upwards.

Gently patting his back, his dad lowered himself down to his level. "Don't worry hijo. Just remember everything I taught you and you'll be just fine."

"I hope your right dad. I really don't want any leafs in my hair." The last bush he crashed into had bugs in it. He shivered from the memories of them crawling through his hair.

"Don't worry. You just need to keep calm and ride."

Having enough reassurance from his dad, Bobby at first peddled slowly with his hands staying on the brake handles. Going down hill, he picks up speed, going faster and faster. Before he knew it, he was at the corner, turning just in time, he released a cheerful Hollar for he did it! He successfully managed to go down the steep hill without crashing.

Passing a large tree, his younger self has swiftly turned into his current older self, which he didn't even notice from all his celebrating. Coming to a complete stop, Bobby happily turned around, expecting to see his dad cheering for him back at the top of the hill, instead; standing only seven feet away from him are four girls and one boy.

They are very eye catching, not only from their eerie pale skin and the dark rings underneath their eyes, but also the items each of them had. The girl with a ponytail, wearing a red jersey with number 1 imprinted on it has a hook covering her hand, another poinytail girl with braces is wearing a bip with the words; "LET'S EAT!" written on it, a blond hair tomboy with a red hat is wearing a pair of bunny ears, the boy with white hair had on a black top hat and a microphone in his left hand, then finally there is the other blond hair girl in a pageant gown and princess crown on her head, holding the plushie of a yellow version of Freddy in her arms.

All of them looked at Bobby with fierce distrust, especially the girl in the pageant gown, who narrowed her eyes further.

Bobby didn't know what to make of their eerie presence, except that he could possibly talk to them just so they can ease up on their distrustful demeanor of him. Getting off his bike, he slowly raises his hands to show them all that he wasn't a threat. "Hey there kids. I don't know who you are or why you are in my dream? But I can reassure you all that I ain't something to be afraid of. In fact; I'm a very nice guy."

The kids didn't say anything, unsettling him a bit, but overall; he kept up his kind smile. "Please. I won't hurt any of you."

They still didn't respond, leaving Bobby to go with one last tactic to break the ice. "I uh, I like your top hat white hair dude. Makes you look very classy."

Taking one step forward to them, the kids suddenly split and ran in various directions. Taken aback at the sudden movement, Bobby instinctively ran after one of them.

The one he found himself chasing after was the one in the pageant gown, who is running straight for a white fence.

"Wait!" He tried to catch up with her, but for a little girl, she sure was fast, fast enough to actually out pace him. She then picked up a fat rock during her run, she then turned around with a angry scowl on her face and chucked it at him. Striking him on the leg, completely tripping him.

"Oof!' Faceplanting onto the floor, Bobby is awoken from his sleep in a rather painful way. And as if falling onto the floor wasn't enough, there was also a loud beeping in his ears.

Groaning; he lifts up his head and looked down to his wristwatch that flashed six AM on the digital screen. Looks like his shift was over, but man what a strange dream. He had plenty of dreams before, but he never remember having a dream with those kids in them.

What was even stranger, was that the leg where the rock had struck him in the dream was actually hurting. Again weird, but perhaps he just fell on it when he slipped off the chair.

Whatever had happened; at least it was over and he can go home now. He couldn't wait to tell his family about his first night on the job, especially Ronnie Anne as she loved places with arcade games.

Getting up from the floor, Bobby shuts off the power first as there was no need to waste electricity. After doing that, he heads out of the office and then out of the building, completely neglecting the partially open curtain at the main stage or the sharp hook poking out from the curtain on the smaller stage.
