As Mario, Daisy, Luigi, and Peach began climbing up the ladder, a few Bob-Ombs were thrown at them. The four screamed as they were hit and fell to the ground.
"Oh my gosh! Are you guys alright?" Kacey asked as she rushed over to them.
"Y-Yeah. We're fine." Luigi said as he stood up. As he helped Daisy, Bowser Jr and Talisa jumped from the airship and landed in front of everyone, in their fixed Clown Cars.
"I told ya we'd be back!" Talisa said.
Mario and Luigi took out Hammer Suits and began to throw hammers at the two Koopas. Talisa and Junior moved out of the way so they wouldn't get hit. Bowser Jr dropped metal balls from his Clown Car and threw Mechakoopas at everyone. Talisa started to throw Bob-Ombs at them and also shot fireballs from her Clown Car. Mario threw a hammer, hitting Junior in the head.
"Ow!" Junior rubbed his head.
Peach and Daisy saw two Bubble Flowers nearby. The princesses grabbed them and blew bubbles. They jumped on the bubbles and reached the two Koopas. Peach and Daisy jumped on their heads, making the kids scream. Talisa threw larger Bob-Ombs at them and shot bigger fireballs out of her Clown Car. Mario was hit by a fireball and lost his Hammer Suit.
Peach lost her bubble powerup after getting hit by a Mechakoopa. Kacey and Kai threw superballs at the Koopa children, finally defeating them. Bowser Jr and Talisa screamed as their Clown Cars fell to the ground.
"We lost! Again!" Bowser Jr yelled.
"It's not fair!" Talisa cried.
"Now we can go to Bowser!" Mario said.
"Uncle Bowser will win! I know it!" Talisa replied.
"Let's go, guys!" Daisy said, ignoring Talisa.
Everyone walked away from the kids and made their way to Darkland.
"What?! All of you kids were defeated?" Clawdia exclaimed. A few of the kids were on a video call with her and Bowser.
"Yes Mama! Tali and I just lost!" Bowser Jr replied.
"Now what do we do, Uncle Bowsie?" Talisa asked.
Bowser sighed. "Just...Head back to Serene Isles. If Clawdia and I lose, you kids can help Clawdeen and Langston out."
"Alright Dad." Larry said.
"We'll beat them, Uncle Bowser! Don't worry!" Alex replied.
The kids hung up and Bowser sighed again.
"I guess they're in the kingdom now. It's gonna be some time before those guys make it to the castle. Are we ready?" Clawdia asked.
"Yeah." Bowser replied.
"Should...Should we check on the princess? Just in case?" Clawdia wondered.
"Nah! I had Kamek chain her up so she wouldn't escape again. She's fine." Bowser chuckled.
"I wanna get out of here. I gotta help the others!" Summer sighed as she looked around her cell.
"Did you hear? The Mario Bros and their friends are in the kingdom." She heard one of the guards outside say.
"Let's hope Lord Bowser and Queen Clawdia can stop them this time." The other guard replied.
"Yeah. He's been struggling with taking over The Mushroom Kingdom. He even lost the Crystal Kingdom two years ago!" The first guard said.
"He's not taking Serene Isles! He can't!" Summer thought. She tried to move, but remembered that she's chained up.
"I-I can't believe this!" Summer cried. She held back tears again as she stared at the cell bars.
"I hope the others get here soon..."
"Wow! It's really hot here!" Kai said as he wiped the sweat off of his forehead.
"There's lots of volcanos in Bowser's kingdom." Luigi replied.
"You girls actually hang out here?" Kai asked Jasmine and Kacey.
"Well, it's usually not super hot here when we visit. I'm guessing it's because the volcanos erupted today." Kacey explained.
"Yeah. I mean, it gets really hot, but it's fine for the most part." Jasmine added.
"Well, let's hurry and rescue Summer. This heat is worse than that desert land!" Daisy said.
Everyone fought Koopa Troopas and Fire Bros as they walked through the Koopa Kingdom. Luigi didn't notice a Flame Chomp coming towards him.
"Weege, look ou-!" Before Mario could finish his sentence, the Flame Chomp shot a fireball at his younger brother.
"Ouch!" Luigi got out of the way and reached into his pocket. He pulled out a Fire Flower and began to throw fireballs at the Flame Chomp. The Flame Chomp was quickly defeated and everyone continued walking.
"Do we have enough power ups?" Luigi wondered.
"I think so. Should we head back to find the Toad House just in case?" Peach asked.
"Hmm," Mario checked the powerups he had in his pockets. "I think we'll be alright."
The others checked their pockets also to see how many powerups they had. They had enough left to use.
"Ok then. Now let's keep going!" Peach smiled.
The group then continued on their way, fighting more Koopa Troopas they ran into.
