Hogsmeade

After Kakashi sent his and Harry's letter with his reports, Naruto joined his cousin and new friends to the carriages. With it so close to his birthday, the wizard wanted to treat his cousin to some wizarding treats and something called butterbeer. With the death of Harry's godfather. The teen had been dreading not being able to go to Hogsmeade. Luckily considering his cousin and himself were being looked after by Jiriaya, the first thing Dumbledore had done when they arrived is have Kakashi sign for all of them

Even though they were considered adults in their part of their world, here they needed a guardian. Which to all Sakura and Naruto was utterly ridiculous considering things they had done as shinobi. It had made his cousin laugh a bit at their faces. But thanks to some fancy wording, Kakashi also signed for Harry as Lucius Malfoy was successful in revoking Sirius's permission.

After all, what could a dead man do?

So Kakashi had volunteered to be Harry's guardian as well. Considering the man was not only a shinobi but one of the best. Naruto didn't mind one bit/ Jiriaya was his godfather after all. He knew and trusted Kakashi to look after his cousin when he wasn't around.

Anyway they had already heard that Gai's team would be coming for the second half of the year. Both he, Harry, and Sakura had shuddered in horror at the thought, but the bright side to it was TenTen. Grinning almost maniacally, Naruto knew until she came he was going to drive Harry nuts. The boy had admitted to the blonde that he liked the weapons specialist very much. Because she was one of the first girls to not fawn over him.

Confused at first it took being here and known as Harry's cousin for him to understand. His cousin, despite wanting to or not, had a similar problem to Sasuke.

He had fangirls and boys…

The latter having been a surprise to him, the blonde empathized with his cousin as did Sakura. With TenTen coming? Man, he wishes he didn't have to go. Seeing her throw kunai and everything at them would be funny. TenTen was not one to mess around when it comes to people she cares for.

Anyway seeing how everybody gathered out front awaiting him. He simply grinned and hopped in. The others joined him and they were all talking and laughing as they left for their fun. They were unaware someone was already ready to see just what these shinobi can do.

Hogsmeade

Under order and duress, Malfoy had successfully manipulated Voldemort into sending Bellatrix and her husband to attack Hogsmeade. Knowing full well he wanted to see the power of the shinobi and his instinct was right. Doing something he did not want to do without merit was not like him. If the Potter boy can perhaps talk to these people on behalf of his wife and son. He would be eternally grateful.

Nodding his head towards the crazed dark haired woman, he promptly left for a quiet spot to observe.

Seeing as the students approach and begin to split off into various places of the town. He notices the arrival of the Potter boy and his cousin. This Namikaze kid was extremely loud and boisterous, but was surprised as the pink haired girl within seconds slammed him into the ground. Leaving a crater as the boy got off and protested the treatment.

"CALM DOWN NARUTO YOU IDIOT! THEY AREN'T USED TO YOU YET!"

"But Sakura-chan…"

A mini argument going on as the blonde boy is shortly scolded by not just her but also that Granger girl. His eyes turn to Potter and the Weasley boy he hangs out with who were trying really hard not to laugh. Moving on as they talk about Honeydukes and Rosemerta's, he watches as both shinobi students stop. Their small knives are out, as the attack begins.

"Harry, you know what to do!" Naruto states with determination. Making some kind of hand sign, Lucius is stunned as what appears to be hundreds of copies emerging. Half of you help Harry get people out. Sakura and I will take care of this."

The blonde grins with glee as he dives into the battle avoiding most of the spells cast; he launches two of his blades that land accurately in the men's bodies. Masks coming off, he recognizes Mulciber, and surprisingly Parkinson. The man's, his head turning to the pink haired girl, he had seen Bellatrix set the house on fire at the door.

Her hands glowing green, this Sakura reached back and with sheer force, she blew a hole in one of the walls. Thus allowing the people to get out. Harry himself with the copies was fighting to give people time to escape the boy dodging and flipping efficiently. He himself takes down two men using the staff in his hands that literally came from nowhere as a weapon.

What have these people done to the golden boy, watching now as Bellatrix herself steps in she of course shoots a crucio spell at the pink haired girl as does her husband towards the Weasley boy.

And that was when all hell broke loose…literally.

He can't explain it, but both the golden boy and the blonde kid's body developed a red haze. Both screaming the associating person's names. It took mere seconds for Bellatrix to experience what could only be a ball of energy straight to the gut. The woman was surprised to say the least, as she was literally ripped to shreds.

Her husband seeing her death started to aim the killing curse in anger towards the blonde. But Potter had with the staff not only knocked the wand out of his hand. But deftly caused the man a world of pain as he promptly beat the shit out of him. Now that was no easy feat, Rudolphus was a much bigger man to the boy-who-lived. And yet he could not get one hit in and even trying to apparate, The teenager anticipated where he would be and knocked him out of the air.

It was then that as both got together near him he noticed their eyes.

Both were red with vertical slits. A growl emerging from both he starts to apparate as somehow he knows they sense his presence. But that is also when their teacher shows up. Out of nowhere and in a swirl of leaves two pieces of paper are slapped on each one of their foreheads. Instantly passing out, the man looks up at him directly with a distinctly glowing red eye.

His gut telling him to go, he knows this is the man in charge at the moment. And that if he would say or do the wrong thing, he has no problem in killing him. So coming down, he looked the shinobi in the eye, "Be here in two days time."

That said, the man nods his head subtly. Just enough to acknowledge his words. Then disappearing with his two charges in tow. Lucius knows that he has two days to be sure that what he is about to do, will save that which he values most.

His wife and son….

Hogwarts

Having gotten the kids back to the safety of the castle, Kakashi arrives with both boys Naruto on his back and Harry on Sakura's. The paper flapping on their foreheads, he nods his head towards Dumbledore, who breathes a sigh of relief. Lucky that the Copy Nin was there he had felt the intent rise from both boys as something had happened to get them upset. Knowing it means extra work for them tomorrow which he is going to chuckle at later. He follows Madam Pomphrey and Sakura to the medical ward. Both boys in their own beds. The paper comes off easily as now they just sleep.

"You got there in time, Kakashi-sensei." Sakura said quietly. "You know both of them will berate themselves about it later. But they did it to stop them from hurting me and Ron apparently."

"I know." The copy nin replies. "It is one thing they both have in common and while it is a great strength. It is also their biggest weakness."

As they continue to talk, they do not hear the nurse and Dumbledore behind them discussing what they overheard. Knowing it was foolish to fight rather than run, the Medwitch was happy that there were no casualties among her students after all.

'Why would caring be a weakness?"

Dumbledore just looked at Madam Pomphrey with sad eyes. "Because you can make foolish mistakes when you care too much."

That said the headmaster walks away causing the older woman to look at both boys. Her mind is deep in thought as she recalls the dark haired one's previous years. All the times she had to patch him and his friends up. The spells, the cuts and bruises, the nurse finally understands.

It wasn't the fact that they got hurt. It was the fact they made the decision to help.

Meanwhile…

Confused as he now seems to be in front of a giant jail cell, Harry looks to see massive gold eyes staring at him. Red fur and nine-tails swishing behind the fearsome beast as it taps its claws on the floor.

So you are my new vessel. And a wizard no less interesting.

Startled as the animal speaks to him. The teenager looks at him with curiosity.

How?

Ask your cousin with my other half in him. He can explain better, I wanted to meet the kid Minato put me in, I rifled through your memories to know you brat. And I got to hand it to you, if I was there I think I would have ate them for you.

They would give you a heart attack…. Harry comments without thinking. A chuckle coming from the Fox, he realizes he said it aloud.

I'm a Biju and I could handle it. Regardless kid though I have seen your memories. You need to work with your teacher about drawing me out more. The reason you couldn't was, I was too busy adapting to your unique system.

The magic/chakra thing Tsunade and Jiriaya talked about?

Indeed it reminds me much of Mito. She was your great grandmother I believe? Good woman

She could use magic?

The fox nods. If that is what you call it. No matter what every Uzumaki could use it they just never needed to after Mito because they had chakra. The magic inside them gave them a chakra boost. Consider it a bloodline of sorts. With my presence yours was triggered. It can make your spells stronger and your seals…well you saw. That was actually entertaining by the way.

Why doesn't anyone know about this? Harry asks. Hell why doesn't Naruto know?

Nobody asked.Surprised by that response, the fox just curls up inside the cage, we are done talking for now I'm tired.

That said, Harry is pushed from his own mind, his eyes wide open, he looks to Naruto who is just as confused as he was waking up.

"Naruto"

"Yeah?" The blonde replied as he shook his head to clear the sleepiness.

"You all right?"

"Yeah you?"

"I'm good… I just…" He said thoughtfully. Wondering how to explain it.

"Had a conversation with the fox?"

"How did you know?

The blonde chuckled a little bit as he replied. "You have that same expression I did when I first talked to him."

Laughing a lil bit, the two boys grinned as the bond between them grows. Telling Naruto of what the one inside him spoke about, Naruto bounces around happily before pausing and groaning.

"We better only let Tsunade know."

"Why?"

"Danzo."

Both making an ugly face as neither teen likes the councilman, they are stopped as Dumbledore approaches. A light twinkle in his eyes as he gazes at both. "Mr. Potter, Mr. Namikaze, if it helps as I know you both well. The students arrived safely with minimal injury."

"That's a relief, Professor," Harry replied as Naruto nodded in agreement. The blonde sitting up and stretching before he stands up, he is pushed back down by Madame Pomphrey who insists on him resting a little more.

The wizard laughs as his cousin whines that he feels ok. That he wants to go back to the tower and such, Harry just shakes his head and points to the plaque above his head. Still not very good at reading English he realizes how his cousin has been here a lot.

"So you got one to? Baa-chan keeps an entire room in the hospital just for me too."

Laughing even more, Naruto finally agrees to stay put as the Headmaster watches in amusement. Making a sound that he needs them to quiet down, Naruto yelps as an older grizzled man steps forth.

His one eye studying him as the other that looks weird moves wildly.

"Naruto I would like you to meet a dear friend of mine named Alastair Moody. He would like to speak with you about what happened for his report. He has already talked to Kakashi and Sakura."

The blonde listening, he can not help but stare, "you remind me of Ibiki." Naruto comments. "scary."

"Ibiki?" the one eyed man asks.

"Can't really say but he is freaky scary." Naruto comments.

Pleased at his words, Moody focuses both on him now. "From what I understand you are the one who took out that Lestrange woman with a sphere of some kind."

Confused for a second, the blonde remembers and frowns, "she was hurting Sakura. I just well, she is one of my most important people. I was not having that."

"Well a lot of people are in uproar over the fact you killed her, none I care about to be honest. But from what I also figured you took out Parkinson and Mulciber as well. Two of your kunai as your Kakashi explained were in their throats.."

"Ooo can I have those back, I'm still stuck as a genin at the moment and can't really afford new ones."

Shaking his head at the audacity of the kid, who smiles brightly. Even Dumbledore and Harry were chuckling in response to his question. "Later kid," Moody responded. "Can you show me this sphere thing."

"The Rasengan sure! My dad invented it and Kakashi has me trying to perfect it with one hand. So give me a sec. I need a clone for this."

Making the sign and another Naruto poofing into existence, out of habit Moody stepped back ready to shoot. Harry stops him in the nick of time before he does anything. They watch as Naruto and his clone work together and in no time at all, the sphere forms.

Swirling with power, Moody lowers himself and studies it. "Hmm so this did her in huh."

"Yup."

"We owe you a service then but people may target you now kid just like Harry here." The people up in arms are known sympathizers. They are demanding your head."

Snorting at that, Moody looks up as the blonde. "Tell them to take a number. I already got a group on me."

"Oh?"

"I will explain later, Alastair." Dumbledore replied. Having never left the room, Kakashi was busy working with students who wanted to learn more than ever. The events at Hogsmeade and watching what the others did including those who were in the DADA group from last year. A lot of them felt inadequate compared to Sakura and Naruto.

They saw for themselves the power and the quickness that the shinobi had. When they learned Harry had been training since the end of fifth year from Hermione. It caused even a few of the Slytherin to wish to join the classes. Most not willing to as it was deemed beneath them. There were a few after seeing how the agility and speed Harry had as in some of the quidditch games that they played Harry had a new trick or two shown to them.

So mostly only the Quidditch team joined save for Draco. Same for the Hufflepuff and Ravenclaw classes. Kakashi said Pakkun and the dogs were enjoying themselves immensely. Especially when afterwards the elves would bring them meat that Hagrid had gotten for them. So the Shinobi were doing something that most had failed in Hogwarts over the years.

They were uniting the houses slowly but surely. It made Dumbledore smile.

Musing about that, he turns back to find Naruto leaned back on the bed as now it was Harry, the other man was speaking to. The dark-haired boy answered what he could. It took another hour before the chief auror was satisfied.

"Well considering what happened the Ministry despite everything did agree it was self defense and in the protection of Hogwarts, The fact that a known Death-eater like Bellatrix LeStrange was taken out paved the way. Augusta Longbottom is praising you blondie for that. And you Harry for beating her husband beyond recognition. Nice job."

"I hear a but coming."

"But Parkinson's family is making a stink about it. Finding he had the mark was inconsequential to many of Voldemort's sympathizers. They will cause you problems, Albus."

"Bring it on One-Eye!" Naruto exclaimed before Albus could speak. "I've faced worse than that and came out on top." Standing in the bed proudly, despite frowning, the two older men had to admit. They believed the kid and the golden boy as Harry stood beside him. Their hands and arms clasped like brothers would be. Even Albus feels the Light growing stronger.

"Moody I think I can honestly say I have faith that these two can save us all."

Saying nothing in response the other man leaves. But not without a subtle nod of his head and a sentence. "Next time you go I want to come. This Ibiki guy sounds like someone I want to meet."

Chuckling at that Albus leaves the room as the mediwitch promptly hollers at both boys to get back in their beds. And it is encouraged more as Sakura, back from checking on the injured, joins in and promptly shakes a fist at both.

Harry obeying as unlike his cousin, he isn't that hard headed as a second later said blonde boy is knocked into the bed out cold.

Four hours later

Having finished the classes, Kakashi found himself heading to Dumbledore's office. Knowing full well that the one eyed man would be there as well. Carrying the same aura as Ibiki, the man had given one hell of a surprise when he moved almost as fast as him. When done, he had made a sound of approval and began to question him about the events.

Having spoken, he mentioned the meeting request which promptly quieted both.

"I would like you to come back after dinner Kakashi, Moody will you."

"Yeah I will be back."

Now that it was time, he entered to find both men waiting for him.

"Now this meeting?" Stated Albus. "Who wanted it?"

Describing the individual, the two looked at one another and nodded their heads in recognition. "Sounds like Malfoy."

"Aww the father of the one who keeps disappearing during school hours to the Seventh floor?"

Albus remains calm as Moody reacts. The one eyed one looking at him Albus sighs. "Severus has spoken to me about it."

'I already have a pretty good idea of what Albus-san," Kakashi states. His single eye was looking at him. "Don't think I haven't noticed your hand and its condition. Sakura has told me about the potions you have Snape make. She helps him out from time to time."

Shaking his head ruefully, the old man sighs as he brings out his hand. The one that had turned black and was spreading. Moody looked at him as he recognized what was going on. Albus explains about a trip he had taken to a little inlet, Finding said item and realizing what it was. The other two men just listen and when he is done. They remain silent…

"Let me guess…it was cursed." Moody stated.

"Indeed and it is one that unfortunately can not be broken," He replied. "Severus is brewing potions for me to help keep at bay but it won't last for long."

"I see."

"I'm guessing this has to do with the Malfoy kid now that you are telling us this. I do remember Snape telling me about Draco being his godson."

Nodding his head, Albus tells the situation. Words coming forth to these two men. One obviously protests as the other remains silent and listens. Taking the book with the whole in it, he studies it. Knowing his newest student managed to destroy such a thing makes him think to say the least.

"So these Horcruxes are essentially seals. Of which the diary was one and the ring another."

Nodding his head Albus speaks again. "Indeed that would be two, my best guess is that Voldemort has at least 4 maybe 5 more…including Harry."

Kakashi responded with a little glance as he whips out to begin reading. "Do not worry about Harry, the gift from Naruto likely took care of that."

Confusion to say the least, the copy nin simply gestures to the fox figurine sitting on a shelf. Albus nodding his head in understanding at the words says nothing else. Moody looking at them, he says nothing as Albus shook his head at a questioning look. "Not my place or permission to give."

"We still have to find and discover what these others are and destroy them."

"Yes."

"All right when it comes to this break time, When we return to Konoha I will relay to Gai and his team. Neji will be a boon in the hunt."

"How so."

"Byakugan, you saw Hinata correct." Kakashi stated as Albus nodded. "Neji is her cousin. They can see any direction and detect different signatures when it is activated."

Perking at this Moody looks at the copy nin with interest.

"How good are they at this Byakugan?

Both him and Kakashi leave, the latter can't help but chuckle. Hiashi was going to have his hands full with this one.
