Chapter 55: The Lawless

In her room, Nadia groaned as she struggled to sleep due to the cold yet familiar voice she was hearing in her dream.

"And now the perfect tool for my vengeance is in front of us."A cold male voice snarled."I never planned on killing you, but I will make you and your Padawan brat share my pain, Kenobi."

"NO!"Nadia cried out in terror.

Nadia woke up from her slumber and panted in utter shock while a bit of sweat poured down from her face.

The raven haired girl rubbed her face upon the disturbing dream she had.

"This dream. It happened again."Nadia retorted, trying to make sense on what happened."It felt so real. Is it my worst fears trying to take advantage of me or is it a sign for something awful to happen?"

Nadia got off her bed to change into her usual green attire and brush her hair into a ponytail before leaving her room.

Once she was dressed, Nadia made her way to the refectories of the Jedi Temple to have breakfast.

She got herself a bowl of porridge, but didn't feel like eating it and looked troubled over the dream she had been recently having.

The cold voice in her dream was Maul's and he said he had found the perfect tool to use as revenge against Obi-Wan.

It seemed that he was willing to kill someone that seemed close to her and Obi-Wan.

As Nadia slowly started eating her porridge.

Then she was joined by Ferus and Ahsoka.

"Hey, Dia."Ahsoka greeted.

Nadia looked at Ferus and Ahsoka with a small smile.

"Hey, Soka and Ferus."Nadia responded.

"Are you okay, Nadia?"Ferus questioned."You look like you haven't slept."

"I haven't at all."Nadia declared."Because of this bad dream I've been having recently."

"Bad dream?"Ahsoka repeated with a hint of concern."What was it?"

"I don't know why. But it felt completely real."Nadia admitted with a troubled expression."I keep hearing Maul's voice. He says that he found the perfect tool to use to get revenge on Obi-Wan. I don't know what he means. And yet somehow-"

Nadia paused and her eyes widen in shock as a terrible realisation hit her head.

"Nadia?"Ferus said.

"Dia?"Ahsoka asked.

"Satine!"Nadia murmured in shock and fear."Maul is going to kill Satine!"

Nadia immediately got up from her seat, leaving her breakfast and confused friends behind.

The raven haired girl left the refectories of the Jedi Temple to go find her master.

A relieved look appeared on Nadia's face upon seeing Obi-Wan coming out of the communication center.

"Master!"Nadia called out, earning Obi-Wan's attention."I have to tell you something!"

"That is going to have to wait, Nadia."Obi-Wan declared.

"It can't wait!"Nadia snapped in annoyance."Maul is in Mandalore and his going to kill Satine!"

A shocked look appeared on Obi-Wan's face.

"What?"Obi-Wan said.

"I've been having this dream recently and I keep hearing Maul's disturbing voice saying he found the tool to get vengeance on you."Nadia admitted."His planning to kill Satine and we have to save her. We can't-"

Obi-Wan placed his hands on Nadia's shoulders.

"I understand your distress, young one."Obi-Wan replied."I was just going to head to Mandalore right now."

"What?"Nadia said in surprise.

"Mandalore has been taken by the crime families with Almec acting as their puppet."Obi-Wan admitted grimly."The Jedi can do nothing, and considering it's an internal affair, the Senate will not move to help them, leaving Satine to become a martyr and Mandalore to fall into chaos."

A frown appeared on Nadia's face.

"And let me guess."Nadia retorted."The Jedi Council say it has nothing to do with us since the Separatists aren't involved in this incident."

"That is why it's up to the two of us to go to Mandalore alone as a personal matter."Obi-Wan declared."We'll make this an independent act to rescue."

Nadia nodded at Obi-Wan.

"Okay, Master."Nadia responded with a small smirk."We'll go save Satine together. I cared about the Duchess too. She is your friend after all."

Obi-Wan frowned. "Stop that."

Ferus and Ahsoka found Anakin in the Jedi Temple Sparring Arena, duelling against a TRD-2 sparring droid.

"Master, me and Ferus need to tell you something."Ahsoka declared.

"One moment!"Anakin instructed.

Anakin dodged the TRD-2 sparring droid's lightsaber before jamming his own lightsaber behind its back and slashing it in half causing it to power down and collapse on the ground.

The Jedi Knight then deactivated its lightsaber.

"What is it?"Anakin asked.

"We heard Nadia is going to Mandalore with Obi-Wan to save Duchess Satine from the Death Watch."Ferus admitted."Even though the Council refused to send help until the Senate agrees on it."

"I understand you and Ahsoka are worried, Ferus."Anakin declared."But Obi-Wan and Nadia have dealt with the Death Watch before."

"But we don't think it's only the Death Watch involved with the incident occurring in Mandalore, Master."Ahsoka complemented."Maul is there and planning to use Duchess Satine as bait to lure Obi-Wan and Nadia into a trap."

Anakin frowned at what he just heard.

Maul was the one that killed Qui-Gon during the invasion on Naboo.

But hearing that the former apprentice of Darth Sidious attempted to kill Obi-Wan and Nadia made his anger grow even further.

"Don't worry. Maul is not going to get what he wants."Anakin assured."We're going to help."

This caused both Ferus and Ahsoka to smile in approval.

Obi-Wan and Nadia were heading to Mandalore in Anakin's ship, the Twilight.

Nadia was dressed in a traditional Mandalorian armour.

Her shoulder pauldrons, vambraces, breastplate, codpiece, kneepads, and thigh and shin guards were dark green and clasped over her body stocking that was periwinkle blue. Her helmet had a macrobinocular view plate, tactical heads-up displays, a comlink, and an antenna tipped with a rangefinder that could be pulled over the viewplate to enhance imagery. Her boots happened to be magnetised. Her raven black was styled in a braided ponytail.

The Mandalorian armour was a gift she received from Satine a few weeks ago.

Obi-Wan was dressed in his bounty hunter uniform; the one he used while being disguised as Rako Hardeen.

Nadia held her Mandalorian helmet on her lap as Obi-Wan piloted the Twilight.

"So what is exactly the plan after we land on Mandalore, Master?"Nadia questioned.

"Keep the ship ready to take off for when I get Satine here."Obi-Wan declared."We may have to leave as soon as possible and do what we can for Mandalore once Satine is safe on Coruscant."

"Understood, Master."Nadia answered with a nod.

Suddenly, the Twilight started to shake violently after coming out from hyperspace and arriving to Mandalore.

Obi-Wan glanced at Nadia.

"I thought you said Anakin fixed this ship."Obi-Wan commented.

"Hey, don't blame this on me!"Nadia retorted."I don't babysit him!"

Obi-Wan and Nadia braced themselves as the Twilight headed into Mandalore's atmosphere.

Trail of black smoke started coming out from the Twilight's engine as well as a clanking sound and steam in the cockpit.

However, Obi-Wan was able to get past the stuttering landing ramp and make the Twilight land.

"Anakin, that's the last time we borrow a ship from you."Obi-Wan declared.

Nadia nodded in agrement.

As soon as they land, Obi-Wan and Nadia notice a Super Commando coming towards the Twilight.

"Stay here."Obi-Wan ordered.

Obi-Wan placed on his helmet to go meet the Super Commando while Nadia lowered herself down from being seen.

Nadia rolled her eyes as Obi-Wan stamped his foot to get it to go down further, and once it lowered a little bit more, he gives up and jumped off the ramp completely.

"You better get your ship looked at."the Super Commando declared.

"It's my friend's ship."Obi-Wan stated."He told me it was perfectly fine."

Then a loud clang resounded up the landing ramp.

"Terribly sorry about that."Obi-Wan said.

"Do you have a landing permit?"the Super Commando questioned.

Nadia cursed under her breath.

They forget their landing permit back at the Jedi Temple.

"I think I left it in the ship."Obi-Wan stated."Come with me, and I'll get it."

Obi-Wan guided the commando into the Twilight, where Nadia used her stun blaster on her belt to knock him out.

"Looks like you're going to need a new attire, Master."Nadia sneered.

"I'm aware of that, young one."Obi-Wan said."Make sure to have the ship fixed once me and Satine arrive."

"Right."Nadia replied with a grin."I'm on it."

Nadia went back on fixing the Twilight's ramp while Obi-Wan placed on the commando's armour.

A smirk appeared on Nadia's face when she saw Obi-Wan dressed in black red Mandalorian armour.

"Wow, Master."Nadia sneered."Satine's jaw will drop seeing you dressed in that."

Obi-Wan rolled his eyes before placing on the helmet as he began descending the stairs.

"Make sure that landing ramp is fixed by the time I get back."Obi-Wan instructed.

Nadia saluted. "I will, don't worry,"

Obi-Wan then headed off to save Satine while Nadia was left by herself to fix the ramp of the Twilight.

Unbeknownst to Obi-Wan, Bo-Katan watched him and Nadia from above with the remaining Death Watch members that didn't pledge their loyalty to Maul.

Satine, the former Duchess of Mandalore, sat by herself in one of the prison cells within the Sundari Prison.

Then a Super Commando approached and arrived inside her prison cell.

"Here to do more of your master's bidding?"Satine questioned.

The Super Commando took of his helmet, revealing himself to be Obi-Wan.

"I do my own bidding."Obi-Wan declared.

Satine became happy upon seeing Obi-Wan and embraced him causing the Jedi Knight to hug her back.

"Are you alone?"Satine asked.

"No. I came here with Nadia."Obi-Wan replied."But the Jedi Council and Galactic Senate will be of no help to us here."

Obi-Wan placed his helmet back on as he began leading Satine out of the prison cell.

"I trust you and Nadia have an escape plan then?"Satine assumed.

"As always, my dear."Obi-Wan answered.

Obi-Wan and Satine headed to an elevator, only to discover a Super Commando inside it.

"There's no record of a prisoner transfer here."the Super Commando said.

"The orders came from upstairs."Obi-Wan stated.

"What's the authorisation code?"the Super Commando questioned.

Couldn't think of the authorisation code, Obi-Wan shot the Super Commando dead.

When the doors of the elevator opened, Obi-Wan and Satine headed out and took a speeder to take them away from the Sundari Prison.

"Hey, you!"A Super Commando shouted."Stop!"

Obi-Wan activated the speeder and took off while Satine held him by the waist.

Nadia's face brightened in relief when she heard the sound of a speeder approaching and saw Obi-Wan arriving accompanied by Satine.

"Nadia!"Obi-Wan called out."Is the ship ready?"

"Yes, Master!"Nadia answered."It is ready!"

But then the Super Commandos arrived and started firing their blasters at them.

Nadia quickly activated her lightsabers to deflect the lasers of the Super Commandos.

Obi-Wan and Satine used their own blasters as they headed to the ramp of the Twilight with Nadia following in tow.

"We have to contact my sister for help."Satine suggested."She'll send reinforcements."

"Who's your sister?"Obi-Wan asked.

Nadia paled when she sensed Maul and Savage coming their way which made her remember the awful dream that she's been having.

No.

She couldn't let this come true.

No matter what, Satine would live.

Nadia had to do to make sure that would happen.

"Master, you and Satine leave now!"Nadia insisted as she deflected the commandos' attacks with her lightsabers."I'll cover you!"

Obi-Wan didn't argue, hurrying back to Satine and helping her get up the ramp without getting shot while Nadia deflected the blaster bolts away from them.

They kept the landing ramp down for her sake and she heard the ship whir as it started to rise into the air.

Nadia felt Obi-Wan and Satine's gazes on her, but she didn't bother to give them a glance.

The raven haired girl narrowed her eyes when she caught of Maul and Savage arriving in the scene.

Two missiles shot into the air and without any thought Nadia deactivated her lightsabers, hooking them onto her belt and she raised her hands high in the air, using the Force to grab the rocket missiles that attempted to fire down the Twilight.

Nadia grunted as she held the rocket missiles as she notice the Super Commandos blasting her way.

Thinking quick, the raven haired girl sent the rocket missiles towards the commandos causing a big explosion between them.

Nadia yelled out as she was thrown back, but immediately glanced behind her to see the Twilight fleeing from Sundari City.

She's done it.

She saved Obi-Wan and Satine's life.

However, Nadia stood up and activated her lightsabers as Maul and Savage approached her with their lightsabers out.

"You mewling pest!"Maul snarled."Do you realise what you've done?!"

"Yeah."Nadia answered bluntly as she held her lightsabers."I just stopped your grand vengeance from happening."

In space, the Twilight flew away from Mandalore.

Inside the Twilight…

Obi-Wan and Satine were in silence upon seeing Nadia risking her own life for them to escape from Maul's clutches.

The duo were then contacted by Anakin and Ferus.

"Obi-Wan, where are you?"Anakin questioned."We were going to come to help you out."

"I'm alright, Anakin."Obi-Wan answered."The Duchess is with me."

Ferus became alarmed when he notice Nadia wasn't with Obi-Wan and Satine.

"Obi-Wan, where is Nadia?"Ferus demanded.

Obi-Wan closed his eyes and didn't reply.

"I'm afraid Nadia stayed behind, so that me and Obi-Wan can escape, General Olin."Satine answered with a hint of guilt.

Both Anakin and Ferus' eyes widen in shock.

Inside the Sundari Royal Palace, Nadia growled as she was thrown into the Grand Salon by Savage with her hands cuffed.

The raven haired girl didn't show any fear on her face as she sat on her knees while two Super Commandos aimed their blasters at her.

Maul went to sent on the throne chair while Savage stood on his right side.

"You have interfered in my grand scheme, Aomori."Maul retorted as he held the Darksaber."No matter. I have found another way to make Kenobi suffer."

Nadia glared at Maul.

"By killing me?"Nadia assumed coldly."Good luck doing that. There are Jedi Knights on their way to take you down, Sith trash."

"You loathsome wench!"Savage snarled.

Maul raised his hand up to silence Savage as he headed off the throne chair.

"I hardly doubt that the Jedi Council would come to your aid, child."Maul declared with a sudden smirk."You don't even belong with them."

"I don't know what you're talking about."Nadia scowled.

Maul walked up to Nadia.

"You have been trained in the ways of the Jedi, but the Force abilities you have isn't one that is from the Light Side of the Force."Maul complemented."Care to explain that?"

"I won't tell you anything."Nadia replied grimly.

Nadia began to wince as Maul used the Force to read her mind.

"Get out of my head!"Nadia demanded.

The raven haired girl shut her eyes and then opened them when the rogue Sith released her.

"So that's who you are."Maul remarked with utter amusement."You're the last living descendant of Darth Nihilus, the Sith Lord during the era of strife following the Jedi Civil War. Why would someone like you fight for the Republic?"

"I fight because I'm a Jedi-in-training that is fighting to keep the galaxy from Darth Sidious' wrath."Nadia scowled."I have no intention of becoming that monster's puppet and later replaced like you were."

Maul chuckled slightly at Nadia's declaration.

"And you say the Jedi that you pledged your loyalty to are far better?"Maul scoffed as he began to circle Nadia."Don't be so naïve. They'll never trust you, no matter what you do for them."

"You're wrong!"Nadia snapped."There are Jedi that trust me and they're coming to tear you apart!"

Nadia groaned in pain when Maul suddenly grabbed her by the neck and lifted her up from where she sat.

"Let me tell you the order things that you foolishly don't seem to understand, Aomori."Maul retorted cruelly as Nadia struggled to breathe."No matter what you do or don't do, you'll always be the offspring from the Lord of Hunger. The Dark Side is inside you and devouring every inch of your soul every time you breath. Consider yourself a monster, who will end up craving to devour every Jedi life force around them like your ancestor before you."

Nadia glared at Maul in horror and anger.

"And who in the galaxy would come to save a monster orphan like you?"Maul mocked."Either you die in a cell or I will kill you myself when Kenobi comes back for you. You may serve a purpose to me yet. Either way, you'll die, and Kenobi will suffer, and either way…I will get my hands on his precious Duchess."

Maul then released Nadia as she collapsed on the ground while coughing violently.

"Imprison her below."Maul ordered as the Super Commandos shoved Nadia up from where she stood."The moment Kenobi comes back for her, she dies."

The Super Commandos led Nadia out of the Sundari Royal Palace and brought her to a skiff to take her to the Sundari Prison.

Tears started developing in Nadia's eyes as the cruel words of Maul engulfed inside her head.

Will her friends abandoned her and let her die here on Mandalore?

Was she really a monster despite the good intentions she had?

Nadia looked down in silence as the Super Commandos arrived to the Prison.

Suddenly, the raven haired girl ducked down when the Super Commandos behind her were shot dead.

Then Bo-Katan arrived on the skiff and released Nadia from the cuffs that chained her hands.

"You?"Nadia said, her voice mixed with confusion and suspicion."Why are you helping me?"

"I'm here to rescue you and that's all you need to know for now, Aomori."Bo-Katan declared.

Bo-Katan and the remaining Death Watch members lead Nadia to the docks in the middle of a battle with Maul's commandos.

Nadia became shocked upon seeing Mandalore in chaos.

The pure blue sky was covered by black smoke and explosions while the followers of Death Watch and Maul extended blaster fire at each other.

She was deeply glad that Satine wasn't here to see what was occurring on her planet.

"Maul must really want you dead."Bo-Katan assumed.

"I was never his first target. Satine was."Nadia exclaimed."Maul wanted to use her as bait to make him suffer. If not her, I was his second option."

One of Bo-Katan's followers handed Nadia back her lightsabers and she activated them to block the laser blasters of the Super Commandos coming their way.

Bo-Katan and her group brought Nadia to a Mandalorian interceptor.

"Go back to your Republic and tell them what has happened."Bo-Katan insisted.

"That would likely lead to a Republic invasion of Mandalore."Nadia reminded with a sad frown.

"Yes, and Maul will die."Bo-Katan stated simply as she blasted at the upcoming enemies."But Mandalore will survive. We always survive. Now go."

Nadia nodded and headed to the ramp of the Mandalorian interceptor, only for her eyes to widen when something dawned on her and glanced at Bo-Katan.

"You're Satine's sister, aren't you?"Nadia asked.

Bo-Katan didn't respond and continued firing her blasters at the enemies.

"Thank you."Nadia admitted with a small smile.

Nadia goes inside the Mandalorian interceptor before its ramp closed and it took off from Sundari City.

In Coruscant…

Ferus paced back and forward in Padmé's office within the Senate Building upon hearing no report so far of Nadia escaping Mandalore.

Padmé sat on the seat of her desk while Anakin and Ahsoka sat in a nearby sofa.

"Ferus, your anxiety is getting the best of you."Anakin declared.

"I can't help it, Anakin."Ferus retorted."Nadia is on the Mandalore and no one heard that she escaped."

"We are all worried, Ferus."Padme assured.

"And you know that Dia doesn't like being treated as a damsel in distress."Ahsoka reminded.

"That doesn't entirely mean we can't go and help her."Ferus scowled.

Suddenly, a Mandalorian interceptor arrived and landed on the ramp near the Coruscant Senate Building, earning the group's attention.

The ramp of the Mandalorian interceptor lowered down causing Nadia to step out of it as Hal, Maybelline and RG-G1 to rush up to her.

"Big sister!"Maybelline remarked in relief.

"Nadia!"Hal chuckled."You've made it back!"

Nadia slowly panted as she gives Hal and Maybelline a weak smile while giving a simple tap on RG-G1's head, who beeped at her.

"Yeah."Nadia answered while panting to catch her breath."Believe it or not, I had help from an unexpected ally."

Both Hal and Maybelline notice Nadia looked tired as well as in pain.

"Nadia, you don't look well."Maybelline stated with a hint of worry.

Nadia simply chuckled at Maybelline's respond.

"No, I'm fine."Nadia assured while panting."What's more important that Satine is safe. I was worried about her and my mas..."

Then, Nadia suddenly winced in pain as she clutched her hand to her chest and, within seconds, passed out.

As she fell, Hal quickly caught her before hitting the ground.

"Nadia! Are you okay?!"Maybelline cried out."Nadia!"

"It's no good!"Hal commented as he held his step-sister."She's out cold!"

Then Obi-Wan and Satine arrived and quickly rushed over to see what was happening.

"What happened?"Obi-Wan asked.

"Master Kenobi! It's Nadia!"Maybelline sobbed, her eyes filling with tears of panic."She fainted and we don't know how to help her! Please do something!"

"How did this happen-"Obi-Wan started.

"She was talking and then just collapsed!"Maybelline cried."If we don't help her, then she'll-"

Satine then gently touched Maybelline's shoulder.

"It's okay, May. Calm down."Satine responded gently."The only thing we can do right now is to take Nadia to the medical bay, so she can rest."

"Sounds like a plan."Hal agreed with a nod."Let's hurry."

In Nadia's Dream…

A five year old Nadia, wearing a bright frilly purple dress and matching shoes, was sobbing in despair over her dead Tikotiko that laid on the ground lifelessly before her.

"Poor Mr Tart!"Nadia cried."Who did this to him?!"

"What a stupid thing to say."

Nadia looked up and saw her maternal grandmother, Alcina Aomori.

Alcina Aomori was a woman in her late 60s with grey hair pulled back into a bun style and cold amber orange eyes. She wore a dark red and green dress-like winter coat. Its collar covered all of her neck. The top layer of the dress was full length, everywhere except the very front center that points up into a V, showing the red layer underneath. The top layer was dark green with yellow furry trim around the skirt's neck, sleeves and bottom. The sleeves were bell-shaped and there were straight red sleeves underneath. The green part also sloped down into a small V at the back of the bodice showing a little of the red underneath.

"Oh, Nadia. You're the one who did it."Alcina retorted with her arms folded."You zapped out its life energy while holding it."

Nadia was utterly shocked at her grandmother's declaration.

"No! I-I didn't!"Nadia sobbed in sorrow."I promised Mummy that I treat all creatures with kindness! That's what Jedi do!"

Alcina was unfazed as well as unimpressed by her granddaughter's respond.

"You're so bloody weak like your mother and brother, Nadia."Alcina scowled cruelly."Kindness allows the weak to live when they're meant to die. Now clean up that garbage and bury it far away from my house."

This made Nadia more upset.

"You're evil, Grandma Alcina!"Nadia cried in anger."I hate you!"

"Good."Alcina taunted slightly."Give into your hate. Only then you'll have people's respect and have them cower beneath your feet."

Alcina then walked away from Nadia, leaving her to cry over her dead pet animal.

Inside the Jedi Temple's medical bay, Nadia was sleeping on a bed while Hal, Maybelline, Obi-Wan and Satine were watching her in silence.

A medical droid scanned Nadia before looking at the group.

"Commander Aomori will be fine."the medical droid stated."She just need a lot of rest."

The medical droid then went away as Hal, Maybelline, Obi-Wan and Satine all watched Nadia, waiting for her to wake up.

At that moment, Nadia began to stir as she turned to her side and Maybelline held her hand with hers hoping to comfort her.

Then, Nadia's hand squeezed Maybelline's and her ruby red eyes slowly opened.

"Hi, Sleeping Beauty."Hal joked.

"Nadia, you're finally awake."Maybelline remarked happily.

"Hey, May and Hal."Nadia murmured and glanced at Obi-Wan and Satine."Master, Satine…"

Hal and Maybelline backed away a bit, so that Obi-Wan and Satine could talk to Nadia.

"Hello there, Nadia."Obi-Wan greeted with a relieved smile as he gave his Padawan a small hug."It's good to see you've made it out of Mandalore alive."

"Bo-Katan and the remaining Death Watch members helped me out."Nadia admitted and frowned when she sat on the medical bed."But I doubt the Jedi Council would've come to my rescue since my life doesn't matter to them."

"Nadia. That's not true."Obi-Wan stated firmly."Your life matters to all of us."

"I know that, Master."Nadia replied."But the Council members at times have an odd way to show people that are loyalty to them most of the times. Then again, I'm not like any other Jedi."

Hal glanced at Nadia.

"What did Maul say to you, Nadia?"Hal questioned.

Nadia looked down, staring at her hands.

"He called me a monster because of my relation to Darth Nihilus and I'll eventually end up devouring every life force because of my hunger."Nadia stated while clenching her hands tightly.

Maybelline became outraged at what she just heard.

"That's not true!"Maybelline snapped angrily and hugged Nadia by the waist."You're not a monster, big sister! You're nothing like Darth Nihilus!"

"If Maul thinks you're a monster, Nadia, this means he hasn't looked himself in a mirror properly."Hal scoffed.

"I agree with you on that, Hal."Obi-Wan agreed.

Satine sat on the bed and placed her hand over one of Nadia's hands after Maybelline stopped hugging her older half-sister.

"Nadia, the way you placed my life and Obi-Wan's before your own was honourable."Satine declared sincerely."I am forever indebted to you for what you did for me. But you could've died and left the ones close to you in despair."

Nadia gave a light nod.

"I know, Satine. I'm sorry for making all of you worried. But I…I didn't want Maul to kill you."Nadia stated, starting to become emotional."Ever since I've met you, you've actually been like a second mother to me. Things hadn't been easy ever since I lost people that were close to me a couple of years ago. And I was so scared that I would lose you like I lost them."

Satine looked at Nadia with a surprised expression.

"Nadia…"Satine started.

"It's been difficult for me to hide this."Nadia complemented with tears in her eyes."Though no woman alive can ever replace the one that gave birth to me, I still need you. I'll never forgive myself, if something ever happened to you. So please…"

Nadia then hugged Satine causing the former Duchess of Mandalore to hug her back.

Obi-Wan, Hal and Maybelline smiled at the sight before them before glancing at each other.

Suddenly, the doors of the medical room went opened and Ferus rushed inside, earning the group's attention.

"Nadia! You made it back!"Ferus remarked in relief, hugging Nadia."You made me so scared! Don't ever do that again!"

Nadia chuckled slightly at her boyfriend's declaration, knowing he didn't realise the other people in the room.

Anakin and Ahsoka then came into the medical room.

"Dia, welcome back."Ahsoka stated with a relieved smile.

"We all feared the worst when we heard you stayed behind in Mandalore."Anakin admitted."But we are grateful to the Force that you've made it out of harms way."

Nadia smiled lightly at Obi-Wan, Hal, Maybelline, Ahsoka and Anakin despite deep down bothered what Maul had told her.

"Thank you, everyone."Nadia answered."You guys are awesome."
