Hello, everyone in FanFiction, DeviantART, Wattpad, and Archive Of Our Own/AO3! PHANTOMKNIGHTMARE47 here, with a new Metal Heroes fanfiction. This one is based around the supernatural. It's called Yokai-Slaying Samurai Onitaijin! The plot of the story goes like this:
Centuries ago, in Japan, during the Sengoku Period, a bloodthirsty shogun by the name of Kibaoni Chimatsuri made a pact with the devil with his dying-breath for ultimate power, and turned into a near-unstoppable oni. However, some shinto priests sealed him and his generals away, banishing him to the Underworld, where he would remain confined to the Sanzu River.
In the modern era, a young man named Shinji Kataoka is living with his Shinto priest grandfather and his twin sister following the passing of his parents. He did everything that teenagers do, such as hanging out with friends, playing video games, etc, while helping at his blind grandfather's shrine. However, when cracks in the gates of the underworld open, releasing Yokai to terrorize innocent people, Shinji is chosen to become a warrior who hunts down and dispatches Yokai. Can Shinji save his hometown from the Yokai attacks, and defeat Kibaoni Chimatsuri and his generals once and for all? Find out, as we take a ride in:

Centuries ago in Japan, during the Sengoku Period, a bloodthirsty shogun by the name of Kibaoni Chimatsuri caused mass-bloodshed with his four generals. However, he was mortally wounded by Oda Nobunaga. Before the final blow was struck, Kibaoni Chimatsuri made a pact with the devil, and sacrificed his Humanity to gain more power. As a result, he became an Oni with near-limitless power. As a last-ditch effort to stop him, Shinto priests used the Nine Syllable Seals to seal him and his generals away, and banish them into the underworld.
We now turn to a new chapter in history's books.
Location: Winter Bluffs
Date: May 26th, 2024
Time: 12:00 PM
It shows a young man with dark-brown hair and citrus-green eyes praying at a Shinto shrine, while helping a miko maintain the state of the place. The young man was Shinji Kataoka, a Japanese teenager who lived with his blind grandfather after he survived a car-crash that claimed the lives of his parents. Shinji wore a white jacket over a t-shirt with Kamen Rider Geats' emblem in the center, blue-gray street jeans, white converse sneakers, and black fingerless driving-gloves.
"Thanks for the help, Shinji." said the girl. This was Yuriko Kataoka, Shinji's fraternal twin sister.
"No prob, sis." said Shinji, sounding like Sosuke Sagara, as he smiled at his sister.
Shinji's POV
"My name is Shinji Kataoka. I'm 17 years old, and I live in Winter Bluffs, a city located north of New Domino City. I live with my twin sister and grandfather after I survived a car-wreck that took the lives of my mom and dad. I balance school with helping at my family's Asian supermarket and my grandpa's Shinto shrine. I hardly ever believed in the supernatural, or that there would be actual honest-to-goodness Yokai that would terrorize innocent people. Until now, I guess. This, is my story as a hero."

It shows shadows, with it switching between Shinji and his superhero alias, Onitaijin, as Onitaijin enters a fighting stance, and the logo for Yokai-Slaying Samurai Onitajin appears.

It shows Shinji doing his morning routine, such as stretches, dressing up, brushing his teeth, having breakfast, and reading off to school

It shows Shinji helping out at his family's Asian supermarket in Winter Bluffs on the weekends, and cleaning up his family's shrine.

It shows Shinji's allies, such as his sister, Yuriko, his grandfather, Kojiro, and his friends, Fukuo Yamada, Haruka Takahashi, Renji Toriyama, and Kiriko Miura
[STOP! Nagare wo mikiwamema mazu mono to mo sezu ikou ze HERE WE GO!]
It shows Kibaoni Chimatsuri with his generals Dokugo Kotobuki, Raigen Kotetsu, Fugen Kotetsu, and Mokuto Ketsuzuki
[Todokanu mono ya kagiri aru mono ni atsuku naru mune wo osaetsukeru no wa]
It shows the armor for Onitaijin, and the katana, Onikiri in storage, until Shinji finds it with his grandfather
[Rikai mo sezu osaetsukeyou to shitekita ano otonatachi to onaji jan ka yo]
It shows some of Kibaoni Chimatsuri's foot-soldiers, the Sendoju with some Yokai
[Doushitatte kanawanai esoragoto darou ga mune moyasu hi wa dare ni mo keseya shinai]
It shows Shinji inserting a crystal into his transformation bracelet, and his armor appears, as he unsheathes Onikiri, ready for action.
[Sora kara furu kuroi ame ga kono mi wo nurashi furiyamanaku tomo]
Onitaijin then slashes and slices at the Sendoju, before facing off against the Yokai
[Mada ore wa kawarerujibun de kaete miseru kore ga sou "PURAIDO" sorezore no basho de…]
Onitaijin traces a circle with Onikiri, and executes his Full-Moon Slash, destroying the Yokai.
[Mada-mada kieru na kokoro no hi wo mada-mada ikeru zo ikeru zo]
Onitaijin races on his motorcycle, and then does a wheelie before jumping off of a ramp.
[OH BABY, MY PRIDE!]
Onitaijin draws the Onikiri sword, and enters a fighting stance with it, ready for action.

Chapter 1: The Story Begins!
It shows a rotted-looking pirate ship in the underworld, in the Sanzu River, where we see Kibaoni Chimatsuri and his generals, all of which were Humans that were turned into Oni by the same pact that their lord made while on the verge of death.
Kibaoni Chimatsuri looked like Galvanax mixed with Master Xandred and Lothorn. He had a double-ended bisento for his weapon.
Dokugo Kotobuki looked like Ripcon mixed with Monster Hitotsumi from the Kamen Rider Hibiki movie. He had a seven-branched sword for his weapon that looked like the Sword Of Omens from ThunderCats (2011) with the blade of the seven-branched sword used by Fury from Power Rangers Dino Charge.
Raigen Kotetsu looked like Absolute Diavolo mixed with Overlord Inves Baron and Moltor. He had a kanabo similar to the Pure-Metal Silver Stick used by Mimihiko Onigashima, with the handle of Demushu's sword, Sheimu, from Kamen Rider Gaim.
Fugen Kotetsu looked like Overlord Inves Baron mixed with Agunimon. He had a katana and wakizashi with serrated edges for his weapons.
Mokuto Ketsuzuki looked like Gigist from Kamen Rider Gotchard mixed with Great Eyezer from Kamen Rider Ghost. He had a khakkhara for his weapon similar to the Golden Khakkhara used by Kuchihiko Onigashima.
"It has been several centuries since those monks sealed us away." said Dokugo, scowling. "Now, hardly anyone knows of our existence."
"Then, we shall give them something to fear!" said Kibaoni, as a yokai that resembled a humanoid Alligator snapping-turtle appeared. This yokai was none other than the Kappa. He had emerald-green skin, Predator-style dreadlocks, clawed fingernails, a dark-cyan colored spiked shell, a dome on top of his head, and a jagged beak with sharpened teeth.
(Author's Note: Kappa's appearance is based off of Shinmugurun from Kamen Rider Gaim, mixed with Kappa from Kakuranger and Kappa from Nininger, minus the fire-extinguisher parts.)
"I live to serve." said Kappa, as he knelt before the Oni.
"Kappa, I want you to terrorize the people of the surface world, and make the waters of the Sanzu River overflow to the point they flood the city!" said Kibaoni.
"As you command, Lord Kibaoni Chimatsuri." said Kappa, as he walked through a portal to the surface world.
Meanwhile, at the shinto shrine that Shinji's grandfather was meditating at, he heard the windchimes ring in the air.
"It is just as I feared." said Kojiro, as he had a worried expression in his pale-green eyes.
"Grandpa, what's wrong?" Shinji asked, concerned.
"Shinji, there's something you should know." said Kojiro, as he faced his grandson. "Years ago, a bloodthirsty warmongering shogun by the name of Kibaoni Chimatsuri made a pact with the Devil with his dying breath for immense power in exchange for his humanity, and he, alongside his four generals were turned into Oni." said Kojiro, as he explained everything. "But…it looks as if the Yokai are terrorizing the city."
"Wait, so Yokai are real?" Shinji gasped, shocked by this news.
"Correct. You have the courage and mental fortitude to protect our world from the yokai that terrorize the surface world." said Kojiro. He then handed Shinji a device similar to the transformation braces used by the core five Armor Heroes from the first Armor Heroes Chinese tokusatsu, and a gem similar to those used by them on a pendant necklace.
"Use these." said Kojiro. Shinji then attached the device to his wrist, and donned the necklace. He then headed off to the business district.
It shows Kappa terrorizing the people in the business district of Winter Bluffs, with some oni foot-soldiers that resembled the Kudabots, with faces similar to Kamen Rider Hibiki's faceplate, clad in ashigaru armor.
"You worthless apes stand no chance against the might of a Yokai!" said Kappa, as he had a scimitar on his person.
"Wanna bet, you walking suppon-nabe bowl!?" said a voice, as Shinji arrived, with a determined look on his face.
"Well now, a mister goody-goody two-shoes trying to play 'hero'." said Kappa, scowling. Shinji then removed the crystal from his necklace, and inserted it into the brace and he was clad in a suit of armor. The armor resembled Fujiyama Ichiban crossed with the Samurai Armor from City Of Heroes, but more futuristic. He had the chest armor of Kamen Rider Zangetsu Melon Arms, and his helmet looked like Estevan mixed with Kachidoki Arms Gaim, with Estevan's face-armor, base form Gaim's forehead piece, and a metal samurai chonmage on the back of his helmet. He had a sheathed katana on the left side of his hip, and also had samurai pauldrons and armor in his waist
"What the!?" Kappa blurted out, shocked by this turn of events
"My name is Yokai-Slaying Samurai Onitaijin!" said the transformed Shinji, as he drew his katana from it's scabbard.
(Author's Note: Onitaijin's sword, Onikiri, looks like the Bujin katana from Kamen Rider Geats mixed with the Musha Gundam's katana, with an octagon-shaped tsuba)
"Damn you…! SENDOJU! DESTROY HIM!" said Kappa, as the grunts charged at Onitaijin with their spears.
(BGM: "Just Live More" by Sakuramen Plays)
Onitaijin then entered a fighting stance with his sword, and charged at the Sendoju, slashing and slicing them with the Onikiri Sword, cutting them down one-by-one and putting them out of commission permanently. Kappa then charged at Onitaijin with murderous intent, and fought against Onitaijin in a sword-duel.
"I'll enjoy tearing you apart with my bare hands!" said Kappa, as he fought Onitaijin, with him pushing the samurai-themed hero back with his strength. Onitaijin then proceeded to headbutt Kappa in the face, staggering him. He then delivered a powerful strike with the back of Onikiri, cracking open Kappa's dome. Kappa yowled in pain, severely weakened.
'Now's my chance to finish this bastard off!' Onitaijin thought. He then closed his eyes and focused, as he traced the image of a full-moon with his katana. He then opened his eyes.
"ESOTERIC ART! FULL-MOON SLASH!" Onitaijin roared, as he did a vertical slash that sliced Kappa in half.
"KAPPAAAAAAAAAA!" Kappa bellowed, as he fell backwards and exploded.
"Embrace the darkness, and rest in peace." said Onitaijin, as he sheathed Onikiri.
"A child?" said Mokuto, having witnessed the fight via a crystal ball. "A child defeated Kappa? This is inconceivable!"
"Tch. He's as green as grass." said Dokugo, scowling. "He won that fight out of absolute luck."
"He's self-taught in swordplay, that's for certain." said Raigen, taking notice of this. "He promises to be a troublesome foe in the near-future."
"I'm impressed that you've slain your first yokai." said Kojiro, facing Shinji. "However, you must train harder in order to defeat any future foes."
"Gotcha, jii-chan." said Shinji, acknowledging this. He had a determined look on his face.
"Your sister is making some spicy beef miso ramen with flank-steak for supper." said Kojiro, smiling.
"Alright! My favorite!" said Shinji, elated. He then went to wash up before he got ready for supper.
