Chapter One: The Bad Guys
"President of the committee Governor Diane." A voice says as it introduces Diane as she walks onto the stage as Alexis is watching nearby.
"Thank you. Last year we faced our biggest test when a meteorite crashed into our dear city. That meteorite didn't just make a whole in our city it made a hole in our hearts. But even in tragedy Professor Marmalade did what he does so well. He made us look at things differently. And thanks to you Marmalade the love crater meteorite will forever serve as a symbol of how there is good even in the worst places. And now please join us in welcoming to the stage our dear Professor Marmalade himself and Chief Misty Luggins daughter Alexis!" Diane says as Marmalade and Alexis come to the stage as the people cheer.
"Thank you Diane." Marmalade says as he begins to give a speech.
"Thanks for inviting me by the way." Alexis says as she goes over to Diane.
"Oh no problem. After all the chief of police's daughter should be welcome. And now the moment we've all been waiting for! It is my honor to award Professor Marmalade with the golden dolphin!" Diane says as the curtains raise only to reveal the statue is gone much to everyone's shock.
"What's going on?" Alexis asks.
"Something terrible." Marmalade says.
"No! Everyone, everyone! Please don't panic. We're sure there's an explanation for this. Please do not panic." Diane says as she tries to keep people from panicking after seeing the statue is gone.
"Diane you have to understand. I didn't bring hope back to the city for an award. I did these good things because of how they made me feel. They made me get that shiver up my spine. The wag in my tiny tail. Because you see being good just feels so good. And when you're good you're loved." Marmalade says before people hear commotion and see some animals revealing to be the Bad Guys.
"It's the Bad Guys!" A person shouts.
"Arrest them!" Chief Luggins shouts before cops swarm around the Bad Guys.
"What makes you think we stole it?" Mr. Wolf asks as they reveal to have stolen the golden dolphin.
"It's over Bad Guys!" Chief Luggins shouts.
"Not yet it's not! So long suckers!" Mr. Wolf shouts as he and his group try to get away through a grappling hook only for it to backfire on them.
*Timeskip*
"The Bad Guys finally go bust and the furious fivesome have finally been arrested." The news lady says as Mr. Wolf's companions are put into a police truck.
"One at a time." Diane says as she is with the news people.
"Excuse me! Sorry to interrupt! I just wanted to congratulate the Governor. I gotta say you really got us pegged. We're just a deep well of anger, self loathing." Mr. Wolf says as he walks toward Diane as Alexis looks at him before noticing Mr. Shark is staring at her before he quickly looks away.
"Denial? Narcissism?" Diane says.
"So we're on the same page. Sadly we were never given a chance to be anything more than second rate criminals. If only there was someone who could help the flower of goodness inside us blossom. Some icon of love and forgiveness like uh I don't know Mother Theresa? Best thing is to throw us in jail for the rest of our hopeless lives." Mr. Wolf says before Chief Luggins grabs him.
"That's the plan!" Chief Luggins says as she tries to force Mr. Wolf into the truck.
"Wait! Mr. Wolf maybe a savage beast. Basically walking garbage. Sorry. I'm making a point." Marmalade says.
"Do what you need to do pal." Mr. Wolf says as he smiles.
"Mr. Marmalade sir what are you doing? My mom Chief Misty Luggins does have a point. These guys are known criminal. Are you sure there's hope for them?" Alexis asks as she looks at Marmalade.
"But how can we say they're hopeless if they've never been given a chance? What if we tried a little experiment Diane? As you know my Gala of Goodness. The charity event of the year is coming up. If I can prove to everyone at that gala that the Bad Guys have changed will you set them free and give them a clean start?" Marmalade asks as everyone looks at Diane.
"Professor Marmalade! No, no, no! Don't you see what he's doing? He's playing you!" Chief Luggins says as she gestures to Mr. Wolf.
"But it was my idea." Marmalade says as he smiles.
"It was his idea." Mr. Wolf says as he shrugs.
"Only because you made him have it! Madam Governor you can't just let them go!" Chief Luggins shouts angrily.
"I can't risk the city's safety for an experiment professor." Diane says as she looks at Marmalade.
"Excuse me Governor I seem to remember a wise person once said even trash can be turned into something beautiful when given the chance." Mr. Wolf says as he smiles.
"Huh. Okay, okay. I'm game. But only because it's you professor." Diane says as she looks at Marmalade.
"No!" Chief Luggins shouts.
"I'll hold onto the dolphin until the gala. Just to remove any unnecessary temptation." Diane says as she holds onto the trophy.
"Of course. You're the boss. Now that everyone's happy I Rupert Marmalade the fourth shall turn the Bad Guys into the Good Guys!" Marmalade shouts much to everyone's shock.
"I hope this doesn't go south." Alexis says as she shakes her head and looks at Diane.
"Which is why you're going to be helping Marmalade. As the daughter of the Chief of police you should be a wonderful influence on them alongside Marmalade." Diane says as Alexis looks at her in surprise.
"You're kidding?" Alexis asks.
"Nope. Just know not everyone gets a chance like this Mr. Wolf. I hope you and your friends don't take it for granted." Diane says as Mr. Wolf gets into the truck and leave with his friends.
