KONICHIWA, FOLKS! IT'S ME, KAMENCJ, BRINGING YOU A NEW FANFIC. NOW THOSE WHO HAVE BEEN HERE BEFORE KNOW THAT I HAVE A FANFIC WHERE ASH AND SERENA ARE KAMEN RIDERS TRAVELING THE WORLD. WELL, THAT ONE IS SLOW GOING RIGHT NOW, SO I THOUGHT I'D TRY MY HAND OUT AT SOMETHING. I HAVE RECENTLY READ A REALLY GOOD FANFIC CALLED ASHES OF THE PAST, A FANFIC WHERE CYRUS DESTRYS THE OG TIMELINE DURING THE EVENTS OF BLACK AND WHITE AND ASH IS SENT TO THE BEGINNING OF HIS JOURNEY BUT HAS THE ABILITY TO EVOLVE HIS POKEMON AND RETURN EVERYONE'S MEMORIES OF THE OLD TIMELINE. I THOUGHT I'D TRY MY OWN VERSION THAT HAS A DIFFERENT ENDING BEGINNING POINT. YOU'LL SEE WHEN THE STORY STARTS. ANYWAY. THIS A/N HAS GONE ON LONG ENOUGH!
To say Ash was confused would be an understatement.
He was in a strange white void, barely able to move around, hell, he was wondering how he was able to think. His head was throbbing so badly, he thought someone had taken an Iron Tail to it.
He just looked around trying to see if he could figure out where he was. Then it came back to him.
"ASH KETCHUM HAS DONE IT! ASH KETCHUM HAS BEATEN LEON! AND AS SUCH IS THE NEW MONARCH!"
Ash was wide eyed, his special 10 Million Volt Thunderbolt had connected to Leon's Charizard. And a large plume of dust had erupted and forced everyone to cover their eyes as the dust had cleared to show that Leon's Charizard was no longer Gigantimaxed and on the ground with swirly eyes. Ash could not believe it.
He had done it. HE HAD DONE IT! HE HAD DONE IT!
He had been handed the trophy and could not help but smile at Pikachu, Lucario, Sirfetched, Dracovish, Gengar, and Dragonite for their victory. He could not have done it without them. He may not yet be a Pokémon Master, but that did not mean he could not take pride in this achievement. Looking to the Crowd, he saw all his friends over the years. Misty, Brock, Tracey, May, Max, Dawn, Iris, Cilan, Clement, Bonnie, his Alola Friends, Lillie, Gladion, Chloe and Goh. He also saw his mother, his friends' families, and Professor Oak there as well.
Then, he saw her. The one who in a way, kept inspiring him throughout his journey after Kalos. Her Cerulean blue eyes met his as their gazes stopped, and time seemed to slow down. He was 19 now, and he finally understood something.
What happened when his Kalos Adventure ended, she had done something very few had done, but not like this one.
She kissed him, not on the cheek, but on the lips.
And now? Now he understood what it meant. Not just to her, but to him. And he wanted her to stay.
He smiled at Serena and Serena smiled back.
He was looking forward to the party in Pallet Town when he got home.
"Are you sure he will be the one?"
"Positive. He will be the one to restore everything and prevent it from happening again."
Ash swore he heard voices but what were they talking about? Him? Someone else?
"Race you home, Buddy!" Ash called as he took off down the road to Pallet Town, with Pikachu using Quick Attack to rocket ahead of him.
After they got over the hill, Ash was smiling seeing a big banner in the air with congratulations to him. He ran faster than Pikachu's Denko Seka once and got to Oak's Coral.
He saw many Pallet Town natives, including Gary, his longtime rival before he decided to become a research assistant. He also saw his old rivals, like Harrison, Tyson, Paul and even Trip, who was currently picked up by his shirt by Delia, who did not seem incredibly happy with Trip for some reason. And clearly from the look on Trip's face, he was learning something the hard way.
Then he saw his friends. Smiling, he waved and ran over to them. He began to catch up with everyone, when once again, he locked eyes with Serena. They would have continued staring at each other if a certain bluenette had not snapped her fingers in front of his face.
"Do that again Dawn, and I'm going to ruin that nail job you got yourself." Ash told her irritated before a boy he had never seen before suddenly shoved his face into his.
"Do that, and me and Torterra will be giving you a one-way ticket to Painville!" The boy had an outfit that vaguely looked like when he had travelled through the Sinnoh Region. What really caught his eye was a pink Piplup that rode on his shoulder.
"And you are?"
"Name's Lucas, Dawn's new boyfriend! And the Pink Piplup, Primplup, is her Piplup's Girlfriend. SO, WATCH IT!" The boy said getting close in Ash's face before a boy with WHITE hair pulled him back by the scruff of his neck.
"Now, now, Lucas. Dawn and Ash were friends before you. That is just their way of being playful with each other, and I'm sure he's not going to steal Dawn away from you." He said as Lucas struggled to get out of the grip before Dawn kissed his cheek and made him calm down. May suddenly grabbed the white-haired boy's arm and hung on like her life depended on it.
"Brendan, I appreciate you helping Ash, but I think Lucas no longer has a functioning brain thanks to Dawn!" She said as Brendan kept his grip as Lucas suddenly turned around with an angered glare.
"HEY! My brain functions simply fine! I just do not want him hurting her!" Lucas said.
"Um, I hate to ask Brendan, but why is your hair white?" Ash asked hoping to jump the conversation.
"Oh, you are not the first person to make that mistake. It is just a hat." Brendan replied pulling his hat off showing brown hair underneath.
"Also, how does May know you?"
"My dad's Prof. Birch, which is how we met. Turns out we started the same day, but I came just after you folks. Ran into her after she and Serena went through the Hoenn Contest again." Another Ash, when another boy suddenly appeared behind him, with an extremely tough looking Typhlosion.
"So, your Ash Ketchum? Gotta admit, did not think it was you who knocked Vincent out in the Silver Conference. But hey, I missed that one. Names Jimmy." The boy told him when a blue haired girl suddenly wrapped her arms around him. "And this is Marina." The moment he said that Dawn and May immediately grew star eyes and pulled her away.
"Famous Coordinator?"
"Like you would not believe. Hey, what do you say to a battle?"
Ash then grew a smirk at that. "How is about after the party? I promised a certain girl a dance, given what my mother is doing." The others nodded and left him alone with Serena.
"What about them? We could not save their physical bodies, just their memories."
"Not to worry. We have already thought of that."
Again, the voices spoke up, as Ash finally remembered exactly what had happened before this whiteness occurred.
The dance that his mom had arranged was over, and he finally had some alone time with Serena. He was hoping to finally put this to bed, in a manner of speaking.
"So, how is it going with your coordinating?" he asked her nervously, hoping to start as naturally as he could.
"I won the Hoenn and Sinnoh Grand Festivals, have not yet tried the Kalos Performers circuit again, since you just beat the Monarch before I could get back over there. So, you finally achieved your dream?" Serena said with a nervous smile, thinking that Ash was about to leave for his next adventure, having heard a new region was discovered called the Paldea Region.
"Well, actually, no." Ash told her truthfully. This caused Serena to look at him in surprise.
"What do you mean?"
"Sure, I beat Leon, but being a Monarch doesn't mean I'm a Pokémon master. I haven't been able to bond at all with all the Pokémon I met, the Red Gyarados and Malamar being key examples. There's still so much I don't know that I'm not ready to say I am one of them. Even then, I'm not in a rush to go to the next new region." Serena couldn't believe what she was hearing. Then she saw Ash look her straight in the eyes.
"Serena, the last time we met, was in Hoenn where I basically didn't meet you until the end. Even then, I think I understand something." Ash then took Serena's hands into his.
"When we last met in Kalos you did a particular thing to me. I didn't understand it then, but I think I understand now." Serena's eyes widened. No. No way was Ash about to do this.
"Serena, if you're about to take on the Performers circuit again, may I please go with you? If you'll have me as your … your …" Ash couldn't spit it out, but Serena got what he was trying to say. And she couldn't help but smile.
"Yes, I would like that." She said as she put her arms around Ash's neck and pulled him in closer, and Ash didn't resist.
"I'm sorry I kept this stupid leash on."
"I don't care. I was willing to wait if I needed." Their faces drew closer and closer, almost did their lips touch, about to seal the deal.
"BAHAHAHAH! OH MAN! WE FINALLY GET OUT OF THE VOID AND THIS IS WHAT WE SEE!?" An emotionless voice bellowed out.
Ash and Serena were jolted out of their bliss to look over and see 2 men standing there. One looked like he was wearing a Dialga outfit and the other looked to be wearing an outfit inspired by Palkia. However, the faces were incredibly familiar to Ash, until he placed it.
"CYRUS!? LYSANDRE!? HOW ARE YOU TWO STILL ALIVE!?"
Cyrus suddenly began to laugh. "Oh, you have no idea how much we desired to make your life a LIVING HELL, KETCHUM! And yet you ALWAYS bounced back in some way."
Lysandre sneered. "Your loss at the Lily of the Valley conference? Your sudden stupidity in Unova? YOU LOSING IN THE GRAND FINALE OF THE KALOS LEAGUE? NOT BEING ABLE TO REUNITE WITH SERENA AND HAVING TO BE PULLED AWAY ON A BOAT? ALL OUR DOING! WE HAVE MASTERED TIME AND SPACE!"
Ash immediately got scared, realizing how much danger they were all in with these two lunatics given godly powers. And he got even more afraid when he realized that they were currently aiming for a specific person.
"NO! NOT HER!" He yelled as he shoved Serena just in time for the attacks to miss her, though he got grazed by the attack.
The only reason they didn't immediately start attacking again was because of a sudden gigantic Water Shuriken suddenly appearing right in front of them and everyone else getting out their 'balls.
A Greninja suddenly jumped in front of Ash, and it was clear whose Greninja it was since it was currently in Battle Bond form.
"Greninja?" Said Greninja turned around and nodded, with Ash smiling and turning to the crowd.
"Who's up for taking down some lunatics?"
Jimmy, Lucas, and Brendan smiled and then tossed one ball each into the air.
"TYPHLOSION! LET'S SHOW THEM WHAT IT MEANS TO MESS WITH OUR WORLD!"
"TORTERRA! LET'S ROCK EM TO THE GROUND!"
"SWAMPERT! LET'S SHOW THESE AHOLES THAT THIS POWER MEANS NOTHING TO US!"
Everyone else also brought out a Pokémon, and those who could Mega evolve did so. Even then, Cyrus and Lysandre did not look afraid. In fact, they look amused.
"So, you fleas think you can fight us? Well then, BRING IT!" Cyrus yelled in challenge.
Brendan was the first to go, having Mega Swampert try an Earthquake, but Cyrus just floated and used Time Roar to knock it out. Misty and Brock did not fare any better against Lysandre as he used Spacial Rend to knock out both Steelix and Gyarados out of their mega evolved states. Cyrus had just knocked out Lucas' Torterra when Dawn came over to try and help him. He stopped, looking at Dawn before he began to laugh hysterically.
"I cannot believe I didn't recognize you the first time we met, and here we meet again." Dawn just looked at him like he grew a second head.
"You mean you forgot I even existed?" However, Dawn was suddenly pulled back by Johanna, who had a terrified expression on her face. And Cyrus' smile grew creepier.
"What is the matter, darling? Not happy to see your husband after all these years? Even then, you still look as beautiful as the day I met you in that little Coordinator dress of yours." Hearing that, Dawn looked at her mother, who looked like she wanted to kill Cyrus while crying her eyes out.
"You lost the right to call me that when you almost made Dawn join your sick delusions of immortality! You could have killed her!"
"That is the point! I would not have been able to use her body otherwise!" Dawn was horrified. She finally met her father, and it was one of the evilest men on the planet. He just saw her to an end. Johanna's expression got even angrier at that.
Cyrus started to walk closer to them, but an Aura Sphere was blocked, and he looked annoyed.
"Do not worry, my beautiful wife. You and our daughter will soon see the beginning of a new world, and you will join me." With that, he rushed to where the Aura Sphere had been shot from.
Meanwhile, Lysandre had just taken down Iris' Mega Garchomp when a Fire Blast came right at him. Not even fazed, he put his arm up and the attack dissipated away. A Delphox was holding its branch aimed at him with Serena off to its side with a Sylveon ready to attack as well.
"Serena! What are you doing!? Take cover!" Grace called out to her, running to her to try and get her out of there. Lysandre suddenly stopped his attacks and looked straight at her, then suddenly, if it was even possible, his already creepy smile got even creepier.
"Why, if it isn't my lovely little Rhyhorn Racer! So, this is where you and our daughter ran off to! I didn't recognize her due to her cutting her hair short!" Grace immediately went pale as she saw who it was.
"Lysander? YOU were the one who almost ended the world? You are still on that!?" Serena looked at her mother shocked. LYSANDER was her father, but they did not resemble one another. How could they be related?
"Would you believe me if I told you that YOU were just a means to an end?" Grace gained a cold look at Lysander, looking ready to tear him apart. She would have if a Water Shuriken had not connected with his back.
"I'll get back to you in a moment, LOVE." Lysander said, though he sounded very sarcastic when he said Love. All Serena could do now was hug her mother as she cried into her chest.
Ash had been checking on his Greninja and Lucas when he heard everything from Cyrus and Lysander. To say he was angry, would be an UNDERSTATEMENT. Both had made their plans, knowing full well that their daughters would get caught in the crossfire. He was not about to let them walk away from that.
"Lucario! Use Aura Sphere on Cyrus! Greninja! Use Water Shuriken on Lysander!" Said Pokémon acquiesce to the orders of their trainer, getting their attention.
"You know, Ketchum, if my daughter didn't get that crush on you, I might have made sure she died PAINLESSLY!" Lysander roared as he sent a ball of energy at Greninja who just dodged the attack, though he was grazed by it.
"I would have had a backup body in my daughter, if you hadn't helped her!" Cyrus bellowed as Lucario tried to get close to punching him but was now in the neck choked by him.
"We are going to enjoy taking our time, tearing you apart. Seeing your friends die one by one, then your mother!" They both bellowed and charged at him when a shadow suddenly stuck their backs. Looking behind them, everyone was shocked at who had just arrived.
"GIOVANNI!?" Ash roared with disgust in his voice, but that wind was immediately snuffed when he got a good look at Giovanni. The man looked beaten, like he was a ghost walking among the living. He had never seen him look this defeated.
"So, you show up to try and take us down, eh, Giovanni? You are late. And that is coming from a guy who has the powers of Dialga now." Cyrus, showing some hint of emotion, told him.
"We know everything about you now, Giovanni. Who you once were, and how you have unknowingly hurt yourself." Lysandre piped in. Giovanni, shockingly, got angry at that, and threw a Pokeball and only then did Ash realize, Giovanni's Persian was NOWHERE to be seen.
"SAUR! I CHOOSE YOU!" Giovanni roared, but Delia heard that. She turned her head to look at him, since there was no way, he should have that Pokémon!
A powerful looking Venasaur suddenly emerged from the ball, looking extremely angered. Lysandre looked annoyed at the oncoming Razor Leaf attack and just moved his head to avoid the leaves.
"You really thought that would connect?" He asked before the leaves suddenly made a U-Turn and connected with the back of his head.
"That was a Magical Leaf attack, not a Razor Leaf like you assumed. I've got a lot to make up for, but I figured I might as well start with YOU!" Both Lysandre and Cyrus just smirked at this, and both sent an energy blast his way.
"Surprising that a previous chosen one was a new Giovanni, wasn't it?"
"Indeed. However, from what I have seen, he did not WANT to become the new Giovanni. He was forced into it, thinking he had nothing to live for. I do not hold it against him."
A previous chosen? Like how he was the chosen one for Lugia?
The blasts connected with the ground, making everyone assume that Giovanni had been taken out in the blast. When the dust cleared, however, Giovanni was just standing there, he looked cut up but there was no blood. On his neck, sparkling, was a strange device.
"Ya knows, in a way, I have to thank you for doing that." He said, however he did not sound as deep as he usually did, as he reached the cut areas. When he did, he ripped it off, revealing it was some kind of mask, and the device was also flung off, with Clement later revealing it to be a voice changer. With that done, everyone was shocked at the man's true face. He looked like an older version of Ash, but without the Z marks on his cheeks, and looking a lot more serious and now, angered.
Delia's eyes grew wide when she saw his face. How? He was still alive!? The last time she saw this man was when she and him had infiltrated Team Rocket's Golden Rod hideout, a mission where they never found his body. Cyrus and Lysandre then took on very nasty looking smirks.
"How does it feel, RED? To know that they WERE alive this whole time, and that you got beat by your own son!?" Cyrus shot at him.
"Well do not worry. We will help you find them in the afterlife!" Lysandre shouted, almost sounding deranged from the sound of his voice. Giovanni, or Red as he was called, just stared at them, then brought out 2 more Pokeballs.
"Like I said, I have a lot to answer for. If I must do that while I am in the reverse world, THEN SO BE IT! I ALREADY FAILED MY LOVE ONCE! I AM READY FOR JUDGEMENT! PIKA! AERO! TO THE FIELD!" With that, a Pikachu came out of one and an Aerodactyl came out of the other one. Ash, however, got nervous at seeing the Aerodactyl. It was the same one who attacked him at Grampa Canyon. The Aerodactyl looked at him and looked sad. Almost like it recognized him and wanted to apologize for what happened that day.
Cyrus, however, seemed to be ready. He immediately jumped on the back of Aero and rode him like how one rides a surfboard. He then fired a direct Hydro Pump right into the back of the neck. Unseen by everyone, some of the water landed on Grace's head, washing off brown paint to reveal a brighter shade of blonde, unlike Serena who had a dirty blonde look. Lysandre just kept walking towards Pika, who was firing off Thunderbolts and Thunders, trying to stop him. He then grabbed one of his ears and tossed him over the horizon.
With that out of the way, both punched the air, and everyone was knocked away, all except for Grace, Serena, Johanna, and Dawn.
"Well, deary, it's time for you to give up your body to me!" Cyrus said, with a maniacal grin on his face, as Johanna tried to cover Dawn as best, she could.
"Time to take back what is mine!" Lysandre said, creeping closer and closer to Serena, with Grace trying to cover her so nothing would happen. They were then pushed back by a sudden electrical attack.
"Still trying to stop us, Ash?" Cyrus asked annoyed looking in the direction of the attack but did a double take when it was revealed to be Red, who had his own Pikachu.
"Honestly, I would have been proud to know that his starter was a Pikachu since I couldn't fathom not having Pika!" Pika then charged and gut slammed Cyrus who was thrown into Lysandre. Red then looked nervous at the ball in his hand, and then looked at Misty.
"I didn't want to use him, but we need all the power we can get." With that, he released Pokémon, and Misty did a double take.
It was a Gyrados, not hers of course, but it was familiar until she realized it was her MOTHER'S Gyrados. Why did this Red have that!?
"I must also admit surprise when it was revealed that Cyrus and Lysandre weren't exactly who they seemed."
"Indeed. They were two of the best I had ever met before Ash. Let us hope this time, those parasites stay away once he figures out how to save them."
Cyrus and Lysandre? That is right. Not only were they the fathers of Dawn and Serena, but they were also in a way, innocent victims.
Lysandre and Cyrus were getting increasingly ticked as the battle raged on. And then they finally had enough. With one combined Time Roar and Spatial Rend, they had beaten everyone and had a clean shot towards Dawn and Serena, when once again Johanna and Grace got in the way.
"You really are getting annoying." Cyrus told Johanna who just glared and tried to punch him, but Cyrus caught it. Then something strange began to happen. When the grab happened, Johanna's hair clip fell off, and her hair suddenly fell behind her head. And it lost its blue coloring to look more black, still blue, but a much darker shade. Her eyes, while still blue, became much darker. Her skin also got the same look as Dawn's. In fact, it almost looked like if Johanna had an adult version of Dawn's outfit, she could pass for her own daughter.
Cyrus was staring at her, before he began to laugh again.
"It has been such a long time, hasn't it, PLATINUM!?" Johanna then glared at Cyrus, as if she hated hearing that name again.
"I have not used that name since I lost HIM. The one you took from me! I do not know if he is still in you, but the one I loved would never do this!" Cyrus laughed at that, then tossed her away.
"Do not worry, Platinum Berlitz. Soon you and that pathetic husband of yours will be reunited in the afterlife." With that he began to reach out towards Dawn, his hand glowing a very black color. When it suddenly stopped and grabbed his own neck. Dawn and Johanna/Platinum just watched on, confused.
Lysandre had just dodged a Rock Throw from Grace's Rhyhorn, as he then knocked it away. Once again, he zeroed onto Serena and made a mad grab for her, but Grace got in the way.
"You surely are a stubborn Rhyhorn aren't you?" He asked annoyed at someone, once again, stopping him from reaching Serena. He then began to charge an attack, an attack meant to turn Grace to dust. Then, her hair began to lose its brown color and the hairpin fell off, and her body thinned down. Her lips also lost the pink lipstick. When it was over, it almost looked like Grace was an older version of Serena with a bit of an attitude. Lysandre looked at her for 5 seconds before he let her go and began to laugh.
"To think you hid yourself by copying your own mother! Funny how you did the same thing as her by trying to make Serena into a Rhyhorn Racer, when you wanted to be a Sky Trainer. Funny how things turn out, eh, YVONNE GABENA!?" Grace then kicked him across the face, making him drop her.
"Ever since X disappeared, I was worried that someone would come after us. If I had known it would be you, I would have hunted you down and forced X out of you!" Grace spat as she stood up, looking extremely ticked off, evident as she ran towards Lysandre and tried to punch him. Only for Grace to be stopped by what looked like a psychic hold.
"I will get back to you after I deal with our daughter. You just stand there like a beautiful statuette, Y." He mocked as he got closer to Serena, reaching his hand out for her face. Serena closed her eyes, waiting for the end.
It never came.
Risking opening her eyes, Serena was shocked as it looked like Lysandre was not able to move his arm towards her. In fact, the arm looked completely different. It then grabbed his neck and began to slam his face about, as if someone else was fighting him.
Everyone was now watching the two as their bodies seemed to be disagreeing with them. Whenever Lysandre tried to make a grab for Serena or Grace/Yvonne, his other arm would stop him and hit him with his arm. Cyrus was getting thrown around like a martial artist was using him for slapstick. This kept going on, allowing Pika and Aero to attack them, and giving everyone a good chance to do real damage to them.
Swampert was in its mega evolved state and was pounding with Hammer Arm and Earthquake, which really hurt Cyrus, who was a Dialga now. Lucas's Torterra was holding Lysandre down while pounding away with Grass moves. Everyone was helping and it looked like they might win.
"So close to victory, and yet they decided to go down with the ship."
"Indeed, but it was one where the true identity of Lysandre and Cyrus made one last attempt to right the wrong, they had done."
Identity … yes. Lysandre and Cyrus were not the ones who were in those bodies. They had somehow taken over others to do their bidding. And they had harmed two of his friends by doing that.
Lysandre had just gotten thrown across the field by a Vine Whip Attack, while Cyrus was blown back from a Blast Burn. Both now looked very dirty and beaten. They tried to get up, but both fell to one knee. Everyone began to advance, with a very stern look on their faces. They looked up and then…
Smiled.
"Well then, if we can't restart the universe or this world…" Cyrus began as his right arm began to charge up energy.
"We'll just have to make sure NOTHING CAN COME BACK!" Lysandre finished, as the energy in his arm and Cyrus' then combined and seemed to form into an energy that was beginning to devastate the area as it got bigger and bigger.
Everyone was horrified, backing away as fast as they could, with Lysandre and Cyrus laughing their heads off.
Then the arms once again grabbed them and seemed to be draining them of something. Grace and Johanna were looking at them until their heads turned to them. Johanna, however, did not see Cyrus. She saw what looked like a part of the hat that Lucas had, matching eyes of Johanna as Platinum, and dark hair. He looked over to her and in a friendlier voice said one thing to her.
"I'm … Sorry … Little Miss. Please … If you see … our daughter in … the afterlife … tell her how … how proud I am … of her standing up to me as Cyrus!" Johanna's/Platinum's eyes widened at that. She hadn't heard that nickname since she lost HIM. She had Dawn to remember him by, and the fact that Dawn had a boyfriend who looked like him drove her to tears.
"Diamond …" She whimpered with Dawn looking at her.
Lysandre then turned to Grace, but again, he looked different to her. Half of the orange hair almost looked like it had never been there. In its place, medium straight black hair was going down the side of his head. The top of it was covered by half a red cap, almost looking like what Ash had back in Kalos, but not branded by the Pokémon League. Then, he revealed his face.
While on the left half was Lysandre, his right half had a black colored eye, and a very saddened expression. He looked like he was about to cry as he looked at Grace/Y.
"Y … I am … sorry. It turns out … that Lysandre… was also a … Psychic. He left … a piece of himself … in my mind … waiting to take over! If you … see our daughter … tell her… tell her … how proud I am. And tell Ash … he better know what he has with her. *Gasp* This … is all … I … Can … DO NOW!"
The arms that had energy in them suddenly smashed them both as Diamond and X seemed to be trying to stop Cyrus and Lysandre. Once again, it seemed they were wrestling for control. Then the arms of Diamond and X shot some kind of energy ball into the air which then burst.
A massive ball of energy began to expand outward, making people wonder what was happening.
"Shame that they're attempts to stop them ended up causing more damage than intended."
"Indeed, but they probably thought that by dying or making a new universe, they could stop the other halves from succeeding."
Ah yes. If only they had thought those moves through, maybe the universe wouldn't be destroyed. And everyone would be alive. Or it would have been better if the real Dialga and Palkia had appeared to stop the sphere.
At first Lysandre and Cyrus looked confused, until they began floating up towards the giant sphere. They both tried to grab something nearby to hold onto, but the Diamond and X halves grabbed their arms and almost pulled them into the orb. They kept struggling and struggling until they seemed to disappear into it. It looked like they had won.
Until the orb began to expand.
It started sucking up everyone. May in an embrace with her family and Brenden, while Max seemed to be holding onto Bonnie's hand. Lucas was holding onto Dawn when she saw her mother start floating upwards.
"Mom!" Johanna/Platinum just turned to her.
"I'm sorry I never told you sweetie." With that, Johanna disappeared into nothingness. Dawn then looked at Lucas, who nodded and let go of the tree he was holding onto.
Grace/Y was holding onto Serena as best she could, but she could feel herself slipping. Looking to her right, she saw that Ash was next to her. She smiled and then moved Serena's hand to him. He looked confused, but still grabbed Serena's hand and pulled her closer.
"I'm sorry that you lost X. He would have been a great father. And Ash, please take care of my girl in the next life as you have in this life." With that, she let go, and floated up into the sphere. Serena cried, but Ash had to readjust his position to make sure they weren't suddenly sucked in. He then saw Brock start floating upwards.
"Hang on, Ivy. I'm coming to join you." Brock was heard saying, as he too did not fight the vortex.
Delia had just grabbed onto a piece of a fence, when it broke off and she began to rise into the sky. Just before she got higher, a hand grabbed hers. Looking forward she saw it had been Red, as Pika, Saur and Aero were pulled into the orb.
"What are you doing!? Let go!" She yelled as he defiantly shook his head.
"If you know where Green is, please tell me where she is! I want her to do anything to me so I can say I'm sorry for thinking she was dead! Please, tell me where my son's mother is!" Delia's eyes grew wide at that, as the wind began to fight harder.
Then, her hairband was pulled off. And two large strands took place over her shoulders. Red when he saw her, had his eyes grow wide. Ash looked confused at this until Red said something.
"Green? YOU were Delia? Does that mean you are Ash's mother? Were you hiding here this whole time? In our old hometown?" Delia began to tear up, and then traveled down Red's arm and embraced him.
"I thought you were dead, Red. And that Ash was the only thing to remember you by. If I knew you had been alive, I would have traveled with him to find you." Red began to cry as he then kissed Delia/Green on the lips. Once they parted, he looked at Ash, who had Serena in his arms, still trying to hold on.
"I'm sorry. When we first met in Viridian, I thought you were a clone of me made by Team Rocket to try and keep me in line as the new Giovanni. I only got the first hints of us being related when we ran into each other in Unova. If I knew, I would never have done those things! I would never have made you endure a life without a father! I would never have harmed any of the clone Pokémon or Mewtwo! Ash, if we get a second chance, please seek me out! And please tell Green too. And Serena, I would love to know more about you if we ever meet again." With that, Red let go of the fence. He and Delia/Green closed their eyes, as they began to tighten their embrace. Ash's eyes widened at that.
"NO! MOM! DAD!" The last thing he saw of them was them doing one last kiss, before getting disintegrated. Now, He and Serena and their Pokémon were the only ones left. Pancham was the first to lose his grip, getting pulled in. One by one, his other Pokémon fell to the suction. After a few minutes, only Pikachu, Sylveon, Greninja, Delphox, Charizard and his girlfriend who had been visiting from the Charicific Valley, Charla, were left. Charizard looked over to Ash, and he nodded.
Nodding back, he pulled Charla into a hug as the two mighty dragons were pulled in. Greninja and Delphox looked over and nodded as well, with their trainers smiling at them. Greninja pulled Delphox into a hug and let go. All that remained was Pikachu and Sylveon.
"Pikachu, I'm sorry." Pikachu looked at his brother and smiled, motioning his head towards Sylveon.
"Yeah, don't let her go buddy." Sylveon looked confused, until Pikachu rubbed his red cheek with hers. Understanding, she did a non-draining kiss on his cheek and then he let go. Ash and Serena watched their most faithful partners go up, and then disappear.
"Well, what do you think, Serena? Ready for our journey on the other side?" Serena turned to him and smiled.
"Only if it's with you this time, Ash. And the others are invited along." With that, Ash smiled.
And let go.
He hugged Serena extremely tight, not willing to let go of her until it was suddenly over.
"Well, I don't think we should keep him in the dark any longer than necessary. And I think I unlocked his potential at the same time."
"Even so, there will be 2 weeks before we can reset everything. But yes, I think that he can now do what he wishes for. Provided he doesn't say 'Send me back to the day I was born.' I don't think anyone could handle the birth trauma."
With a jolt, Ash woke up. He found himself lying in a bed. Was he dead? Did something pull him into a different dimension?
With a realization, he looked around. He didn't see Serena, Pikachu or anyone else. Was he the only survivor of that event? He then noticed a door.
Opening it up he found himself in a hallway that looked like it was outer space. He then walked to the center of the room, hoping to find some answer to what was happening. He then got bowled over by something licking his face. Pushing it off him, he was surprised.
"What the -? A baby Dialga?" in front of him was a babified version of the Ruler of Time. It kept trying to lick his face. He managed to stand up before something tackled his back.
"Let me guess. It's a baby Palkia?"
"Nope. Baby Giratina." He turned his neck and saw it was a baby Giratina, with a baby Palkia off to the side. He then heard footsteps coming from the direction of the voice he heard. Looking over, he saw someone he had only seen in pictures and tapestries.
"Sir Aaron?" Standing in front of him was indeed the Aura Guardian, Hat, gloves, outfit and all. Aaron just chuckled.
"Glad to see you remember me. I also see you were not prepared for a cuddle attack from Dialga." Said Legendary was chasing his own tail, somehow not using time properly. Ash finally stood up.
"So, I take it I died?" Aaron shook his head.
"Would have, if we didn't pull you away in time." Hearing that, Ash then sighed.
"So, I was the only one to survive?" Aaron looked saddened by this.
"Unfortunately. We were hoping to also get your Pikachu, or the one you call Serena, but we couldn't with the amount of energy in that thing. It's a miracle we even got you at all." Ash then just sadly turned his head.
"Why even bother? I failed. I couldn't beat Cyrus or Lysandre. I'm sure the universe no longer exists so what's the point of me being alive?" Aaron then placed a hand on Ash's shoulder.
"Because, my descendant," Ash whirled his head at that, "we can make sure it doesn't happen again. Come. Your training is about to begin." With that, a door suddenly materialized into existence.
The equivalent of 3 days later …
Aaron had begun training Ash, not just mentally, but physically. Ash was now a lot stronger than he was before he got sucked into the orb. They were currently taking a rest.
"Your almost ready to save Diamond." With that, Ash turned to Aaron.
"Mind if I ask something if you know the answer?" Aaron nodded his head.
"How did Cyrus take over Diamond? And who is Platinum?" Aaron then sighed as a viewing portal opened in front of Ash. What he saw was a boy about his age, with a Munchlax, Torterra, Bastiodon, LickiLicky, Mamoswine, Regigigas, Rotom and Dialga.
"That is Diamond. He was friends with Barry's Father, who you know as Palmer, but his real name is Pearl. His Father was the previous Palmer, who died shortly after Barry was born. Pearl took his father's name so that no one would think his line was weak" The image then changed to someone who looked like Dawn, but Ash recognized the differences to recognize this was Johanna.
"That is Platinum Berlitz. Platinum was the heir of the Berlitz family, and as such went on a journey to make her coat of arms and win the League. However, due to a mix-up, her bodyguards ended up switching with Diamond and Pearl. At first, she and Diamond were just acquaintances. However, that changed when they encountered Cyrus at the top of the Black Spire." The picture changed to the battle from Pokémon Adventures. (A/N: I haven't fully read the DPP arc of Adventures, so take this line with a pinch of salt.)
"Just as Cyrus was about to finish Platinum off, Diamond was able to free Dialga from the Red chain and make Cyrus age so rapidly, that he became dust in the wind." It showed Diamond riding on top of Dialga, who kicked Cyrus into the path of Dialga's Time Roar. Cyrus then began to age, showing his skin shrinking until there wasn't even a skeleton left. He then went over to Platinum, who seemed to be staring at Diamond with sparkling eyes.
"Diamond had already fallen for Platinum, but Platinum didn't even realize that Diamond had a crush on her, at least she didn't start figuring it out until that moment." It then showed various moments where Diamond was staring at her, throwing a fit over her wellbeing, or making food for her. Platinum took those like they were regular things, until the moment where he saved her from Cyrus. After that, it seemed like she was starting to figure things out. Ash looked upset, given how he didn't recognize the same things from Serena.
"After Pearl took on the Battle Frontier challenge, Diamond and Platinum stayed together. They grew closer and closer, with Platinum figuring out his feelings for her and her realizing that she had the same." It showed Pearl leaving on a boat, while Platinum and Diamond stayed on the pier. Then it showed them staying together until Platinum basically asked if he had a crush on her, while in her mind, she admitted that she now had a crush on him.
"After that, they began to date with Diamond's mother, Johanna approving their relationship, which also surprised her parents." It showed said woman hugging both Diamond and Platinum, who had blushes on their faces. Two scientists behind them, who Ash assumed were Platinum's parents, looked extremely shocked about this.
"Then one day, Diamond brought Platinum to the spot where they met for the first time. And he then asked her 'would you let me be with you until Dialga has said it's our time to leave?' and Platinum didn't hesitate to give her response." It then showed Diamond and Platinum at one of the Lakes of Sinnoh, when Diamond suddenly got down on one knee, and revealed a small box in his hand. Platinum opened it and was shocked to find a ring inside it. It wasn't fancy but it was clear what the intention was. Platinum held her mouth in shock, tears running down, before scooping up Diamond in a hug and kissing him on the lips.
"5 years past, and Johanna had passed on in her sleep, happy for her son and daughter-in-law." It showed Diamond and Platinum at the grave of Johanna.
"Then, a year later, Platinum revealed to Diamond that she now had someone inside her, and asked if they could get things ready for when the baby would take her turn with them." Diamond and Platinum were at a diner, sitting next to each other, when Platinum told Diamond something and moved her hand over her stomach. Diamond stared at her, until he smiled and pulled her into a hug, nodding at it.
"Sadly, when they got up to the top of the Peak, it happened." It then showed them at the top of Mt. Coronet, gathering materials to make a brooch like what Platinum made. However, a red shard suddenly began to move around, and zoomed towards Platinum's neck.
"Somehow, one of the shards of the red chain had Cyrus' consciousness. He wanted revenge for his plans being foiled, and wanted to take over the body of Platinum, given how the Berlitz family was the richest in Sinnoh, he would have no trouble taking over. However, Diamond saw what was about to happen and shoved her out of the way, protecting the baby and her. However, in doing so, he made the greatest sacrifice." Just seconds before the shard could bury itself in Platinum's neck, Diamond pushed her out of the way, with it impacting his chest.
"While Cyrus didn't get the host he wanted, it wasn't all for naught. Cyrus had figured out how to take over his mind and how to assert dominance. Diamond had no chance of fighting it off. In a last-ditch effort, Diamond released his Pokémon, and told Platinum to run and protect their child." Diamond had released 6 Pokeballs, with them looking and seeing what was happening to their Trainer. He then turned to Platinum, and unlike the other times, Ash heard the words.
"Platinum! GET … OUT ... OF HERE! I CAN'T HOLD CYRUS OFF! DON'T LET HIM TAKE OUR DAUGHTER!" Platinum looked at her husband.
"But what about you and your Pokémon!? I can't leave you behind!" Diamond then rolled over, clearly trying to make sure that Cyrus didn't take him over completely.
"IT … DOESN'T … MATTER! IF I … FAIL TO … STOP HIM HERE, YOU … YOU … YOU WILL BE HIS NEXT TARGET! PLEASE! GET OUT OF HERE! LAX! TRU! DON! KIT! MOO! REG! DON'T HOLD BACK! KILL ME! BLAST ME! DO WHAT YOU CAN TO STOP CYRUS!" With that, Platinum ran down the corridor down the mountain, not looking back. When she did stop, she heard massive explosions and the room swaying and almost crumbling. She looked up, and then began to cry, clearly thinking that Diamond was now dead.
"She wasn't sure if his old friends were successful or not. SO, when she got back to their house, she discovered her mother in law's career as a Pokémon Coordinator. As such, she took her name, and began to take her career in Coordinating. She released her old Pokémon into the wild, so that they wouldn't become targets and so that she wouldn't get traced." It then showed her hugging all her Pokémon, and then them walking off into the wilderness. She then took out a makeup kit, and began to change her face, and threw out her old dress, that was very much like Dawn's.
"She didn't reveal the surname of Berlitz until after Cyrus' second defeat at your hands and Dawn's. That's why you never knew her last name." With that, the portal closed, and Ash couldn't stop the tears from leaking from his face.
"Let's get back to training, Sir Aaron. I want to be able to save Diamond this time." Aaron smiled at that and stood up with Ash.
The equivalent of 3 more days later …
Ash and Aaron had just finished another training session. This time, Ash could now use Aura to see if something was controlling someone, no matter how deep in the skin, or how close to a joint it was. Ash knew he would have to figure out how to save Diamond from Cyrus his own way. Then he thought of something else. Someone else he would have to save. And this would be especially important to him, given who he was related to.
"If I may, what happened to the one known as X?" Aaron then sighed sadly, then conjured up another portal.
"X or Xander Xavier, yeah I thought that naming was insane too, was an up-and-coming Pokemon Trainer who had managed to get into a very hard level despite his young age." It showed a very young kid taking on an adult, who given his outfit, was a Gym Leader. And the Gym Leader was on the ropes.
His Kangaskhan was hitting his Noivern opponent repeatedly, but when Noivern got close, it was revealed that the baby Kangaskhan was able to not only deflect the attacks thrown at Kanga's belly, but also get in close enough for its own Ice Punch. With that, he jumped up and down in victory. Then 4 other kids came up to congratulate him, one of whom looked disturbingly like Serena.
"His friends were Tierno, Trevor, Shauna and a girl named Y, short for Yvonne Gabena. Before you ask, these ones are the parents of the ones you know." However, before the kids could congratulate their friend, a bunch of news reporters suddenly shoved them out of the way and a clearly worried and scared X was suddenly bombarded with questions.
"Unfortunately, because of his young age and how well he did, X suddenly became the center of attention. It got so bad, he became a reclusive shut in. He would not come out for his friends, his Pokemon. He didn't even come out for food." It then showed X literally just cowering in a room, refusing to come out except for food where he immediately ran back to his room. Then it showed the girl named Y trying to coax him out. Then Ash saw a strange glow on Y. It was not Aura, there would be a fire around the heart.
"X was a powerful Psychic. He was also aware of the fact that Y had a crush on him. However, he thought she was happier as a Sky Trainer, forgetting about him, no matter how many times she tried to get him out. That is, until an attack from Yvelta and Xerneas happened in Vaniville Town." It then showed a massive battle between said Legandaries, but Ash saw that they had control chips in them.
"Team Flare tried to use them and captured everyone of Vaniville Town as experiments for a better world. However, the journey those five made not only broke the shell of X, but also gave him the power to Mega Evolve all six of his Pokemon to their final form." It then showed X with his Kangaskhan, Charizard who strangely was holding its tail, Pinsir, Manetric, Gengar, and Chesnaught. Ash was confused what he meant by all six when strangely, Chesnaught began to get surrounded by leaves. When they parted, Chesnaught looked thinner and had a blade and shield made of Leaves.
"After that, X left Kalos to get stronger, though he did say goodbye to Y before he left." X is shown leaving Vaniville Town with his friends, stopping only at Y's house and gave her a hug goodbye.
"Y stayed in Kalos and became the first ever Female Sky Trainer who had a Battle Bond Pokemon." Ash's eyes widened when he saw her activate the Battle Bond that he thought was exclusive to him.
"Then one day, X returned to Kalos and went to find Y." It showed a plane touching down, and X leaving the airport, holding a picture of Y and showing it to people some of whom shook their heads while others pointed in different directions, each time X would start running. Then he finally found Y at Geosenge Town.
"When he finally found her again, he first caught up with everything she did, her achievements, her life, everything. Then he asked her if anyone special had come into her life." It then showed them talking at a café, then walking around Lumiose at night, then being back in Vaniville Town, where Y looked confused at something X said.
"She asked him how important it was, and he then did this." In the portal, it showed X pulling out a small box, and given what he saw with Diamond, Ash immediately knew what X was about to do.
"She was shocked and then ran to her mother. At first, X thought he had offended her, and was ready to leave and never come back." Y had her hand on her mouth, before she turned around and ran to a house with a Rhyhorn in the front yard. X looked very depressed, began to cry and put the box back in his pocket. He was almost at the main gate when a shadow suddenly landed in front of him.
"It turns out that she had went to get something from her mother, and it would be the perfect answer for X." It was revealed that she had a wedding gown in her hands which shocked X, who then pulled out the box and pulled Y into a kiss.
"3 years later, Y's mother, Grace Gabena, suffered a heart attack due to her status as a Rhyhorn Racer. Y inherited her mother's Rhyhorn and self-taught herself Rhyhorn Racing in case she needed to do so." It showed Grace in a hospital bed, holding Y's hands with X looking sad behind her. She gave Y a Pokeball before she closed her eyes and the machine flatlined.
"2 years later, during an anniversary in Geosenge Town, Y revealed to X that she had a surprise for him." It then showed an older X and Y in Geosenge Town, with Y telling X something before moving her hand over her stomach, and then Ash realized who was in her. X looked shocked then very happy as he pulled Y into an embrace.
"However, that would be the last moment of happiness between them. For you see, the years before when they defeated Lysandre, something had happened." The portal almost seemed to do a video tape stop and rewind, going back to the final battle between X and Lysandre. Lysandre had just tried to blow up the area to take X with him, but failed as he was rooted to the spot, and could only move his eyes.
"Unknown to everyone at the time, Lysandre was ALSO a Psychic. When the base exploded, only one thing of Lysandre was alive, his head." It then showed a strange energy going into the back of X's head.
"Lysandre, in his final moments, transferred a piece of his mind over to X. As the years went by, Lysandre began to grow stronger, slowly taking over parts of X's body without his knowledge.' It then showed X seemingly starting to turn a sickly shade of black on his left side, as Lysandre began to take control of his body.
"When Y told X she was pregnant, he made his move." It then returned to the moment before the rewind, and it seemed like something had made a bad joke. X suddenly ripped a steel pipe off the railing and swung it towards Y, who barely got out of the way in time. Like with the previous viewing, Ash could now hear the dialogue.
"X! WHAT ARE YOU DOING!? YOU COULD HAVE HURT … Serena?" Y shouted before meekly saying her future daughter's name as when X turned to her, it didn't look like him. His right shoulder up to his hand looked a lot muscular, and on the right side of his head, instead of it being black hair with a black eye, it was long red hair exploding outward with a connection to a beard with a blue eye. Y backed away, clearly recognizing who this was.
"Looks like you recognize me, good." Purple ooze suddenly appeared underneath X's feet almost seeming to go into him.
"Once I fully take over his body, I intend to take that young body out of you the hard way, making him watch as I transfer my mind and soul into the child while your writhing in agony, dying as I did!" Her Greninja then leaped in front of her, with the intent to protect, alongside Chesnaught, but Lysandre used his psychic on the burly Pokemon, and threw it into Greninja. Before he could reach her, the left hand suddenly grabbed the right hand and pulled it away.
"NO! LEAVE … HER … ALONE!" X's voice could be heard, though it sounded very strained, like someone was stretching him.
"I really wish you wouldn't do that. It will only make things hurt more. Give up and watch your girlfriend suffer!" Lysandre again charged at Y, but due to not controlling the full body, X diverted him into the hole that had been made. Y was about to run over, when she heard a voice.
"NO Y! DON'T COME ANY CLOSER!" Y skidded to a stop and looked around, before realizing what was happening.
"Y, please! Run away from here! I can't stop Lysandre's takeover! We are the only ones in Geosenge Town right now! I can't let him succeed in the ultimate weapon! Salamè! KANGA! MARISSO! RUTE! ELEC! GARMA! DON'T LET LYSANDRE SUCCEDD! HIT ME WITH EVERYTHING YOU HAVE!" With that, the Pokemon charged into the hole while Y fled Geosenge town, only looking over her shoulder when a massive explosion wiped the city off the map. After that, she ran all the way back to Vaniville Town.
"X was successful in delaying his plans, but he couldn't do anything to stop Lysandre completely. Lysandre remembered the Bond Phenomenon that Y and X did with Marisso and Croaky. Figuring he could use that instead of just Mega evolution energy, he looked for more, only finding it when you came to Kalos. As for Y, she returned and took her mother's name, releasing her Pokemon so that Lysandre couldn't track her down, and giving up her Sky Trainer dreams to become a Rhyhorn Racer, so that she was even harder to track down." Ash was saddened at this, realizing how similar Y and Serena's stories were.
"Is there a way that I can help X as well? I refuse to not at least try to save Serena's father." Aaron again had a smile on his face.
"Would you believe me if I said that Aura's and Psychics could work together? And that Serena is the key to this whole thing?" Ash got up in 2 nanoseconds upon hearing that.
"Let's start right away then." Aaron then chuckled.
"Indeed, but don't expect me to tell you your fathers' story."
"Don't. I want to hear the story from him. Since I never knew about it." Aaron then had a smirk.
"That's the way. Now let's begin the real part of the training." With that, he threw an Aura Sphere at Ash, who dodged it.
The Equivalent of 8 days later …
To say the last 8 days were grueling would be an understatement. Ash was desperate to learn the technique that could help free X from Lysandre's control. Though he wouldn't be able to get much practice with it until he met another Psychic who had a similar situation to X. Besides refining what he would need to do to save Diamond, he was taught the basics and advanced techniques of Aura.
With the training done, they emerged into the room Ash had woken up in previously.
"So what now? Do we need to give me a certificate or something?" Aaron chortled.
'Not quite. See, while we were training, the old masters of Time and Space and Anti matter were gathering what they could of the old world and bring it here."
"For what?"
"For everything to be reset and hopefully changed for the better" Ash looked to the dep voice and saw a robed figure approaching them. While the main body didn't look familiar, Ash recognized the 18 plates on its back, as well as the head. It may have a horn now, but there was no denying who it was.
"ARCEUS!?" Said being laughed at Ash's clear surprise. Then floated over to him.
"Indeed Ash. It has been a while since we last met, though I wish it were under better circumstances. Given what happened, I don't think you need to ask what I want." Ash shook his head, already having a good feeling about what he wanted.
"Good, now then, we can send you to a point in your life any time, any place. And we can send one of your travel companions with you, if it's not one who is already in the region at the time you choose. All I ask; besides you stop Lysandre and Cyrus from succeeding is that you save Diamond and X." Ash then began to think. This could be the most important choice of all. Does he go back to the start of his Sinnoh Journey? No, that won't be enough time to get things started. Cyrus would have ample time to take down his attempts since he barely had control over his Aura, let alone do the technique that could save him. Then there was the fact that he didn't even know how the technique to save a Psychic would work on a flesh and blood person, not some training dummy.
Then he suddenly had a thought. If he started over at the start, he could go through the entire regions and practice that way. Sabrina had a similar problem in Saffron when he first went there. Plus, he could try and do things better, plus he could try and get to his dad as soon as he could. But now the question was who to ask to bring with him?
Brock and Misty were off the table given how they pretty much were his starting companions, and he didn't want to risk Dawn getting spotted by Cyrus and getting attacked when starting out on their journeys. May and Max were a no go, since they wouldn't be a good fit for those areas and things could get worse. Then, he had another realization. And he felt stupid for not noticing it. The time dilation between Lysandre fully taking over X's body and when he got to Kalos would be enough to have him train a certain blonde on how to protect herself. Plus, he could train her in ways to protect herself from Lysandre and give them enough time to not only prepare for the confrontation but being able to help her father.
"Ok Lord Arceus I have made my decision." Arceus looked at Ash with a smile.
"I am ready to hear it" Ash took a deep breath, and then let it out.
"I wish to go back to the start of my journey. The first day to be specific. I believe that will be enough time for me to use my Aura to where I'm skilled enough to save both Diamond and X." Arceus seemed to first cock his head to the side then nod in understanding.
"Honestly, I thought you would have been gung-ho and try to go back to the point before this fiasco occurred. Or any day but that one. But that is a good point. Have you chosen someone to go with you? It will also dictate a secondary partner for you alongside Pikachu. So, choose well if you desire to bring someone with you who is not Misty or Brock." Ash then smiled.
"I choose Serena." He said with no hesitation. Arceus seemed to be very shocked by this.
"May I ask why? She could be a target for Lysandre. Greninja along with your bond would be a great power but why that far with her?" Ash then conjured up his own portal.
"Indeed, but while I was not learning how to use Aura, I would study what happened to those two and how long it took Cyrus and Lysandre. And then I noticed that Lysandre didn't completely take control of X's physical body until literally the day before I arrived in Kalos. If I go back that far, I can at least test out the technique Aaron taught me that should be able to save them. And I noticed something, something you didn't tell me Aaron." Aaron looked at him, with a confused glance. "You never told me Serena had her Psychic powers blocked." His eyes widened as everyone saw what Ash was talking about in the viewing portal.
"How did you figure that out?" Ash then used it to rewind before X was becoming Lysandre and zoomed in on Y's stomach area.
"When you taught me how to separate 2 psychics, you also showed me how to detect a Psychic user. And when I watched Y's Pregnancy, I realized her stomach was giving off the same reading, meaning that she too is a Psychic, but she probably doesn't know it, which is great as Lysandre won't be able to detect her." Arceus and Aaron looked shocked and then looked at each other.
"Why the Reverse world didn't WE think of that?"
"I think a better question is, why didn't we and the LAKE TRIO think of that? But not continuing that lunacy, it sounds like you've given this a lot more thought than you usually do. You have analyzed the situation and made plans. Is this the path you seek Ash?" Ash nodded then sighed.
"I just wish it wasn't just me and Serena who would remember." Aaron then smiled.
"You will be getting a gift when you arrive, for now know this. While you may have more time to plan, don't forget. We can't keep resetting things, so don't act like if you fail here, you will get another chance. Treat it as if this is your only chance." Ash nodded at that.
"Good. Now then, alongside that, I will make sure you get some items at Cameran Palace when you revisit it. I suggest going as soon as you can. And it wouldn't just be for you and Serena. Special items for your friends will be put there as well, both ones at the current time and when you reunited with them in the original." Ash nodded again.
"So when can I expect you to put the blue ribbon and her Performer dress in there?" Both Arceus and Aaron laughed at that.
"Oh about 1000 before your timeline." Ash then laughed at that.
"But you'll see what I mean about that. Enjoy your journey, Ash." Ash nodded and then turned to Arceus.
"Are you ready to begin Ash? Also, I'm pretty sure you chose Serena because a certain something got interrupted at the attack." Ash blushed but nodded regardless.
"I can understand that. Make sure you don't screw it up with her this time. Until we meet again Ash." Ash then felt himself feel like he was disintegrating, but also falling asleep. He closed his eyes, and then disappeared.
"OK now that he's gone what do we do now?" Aaron asked, turning to Arceus.
"First of all, …" Arceus then began to cough like he was trying to get something out of his throat.
"I'm going to quit doing that stupid voice! Me that kills my throat!" Arceus continued with a much more normal sounding voice. Aaron turned to look at him with a bit of a sweat drop.
"It is really weird seeing the creation trio as little kids, and its weird to hear you sound a bit like a teenager a bit." With that Arceus then revealed a remote. The Hall of Origins faded away, revealing a room that almost looked like a basement. With a bunch of retro consoles, a 90-inch tv for modern games, and a bunch of shelves with old school video games.
"Well at least I know we aren't going to be bored." With that, Arceus walked over to a couch in front of a 32-inch CRT TV.
"So What? Are we going to make our own Online Series called 'The Pissed Poketendo Phan' while we wait for him to meet us? Besides me reliving my life a bit to put things where they need to?" Arceus then went over to a mini disc shelf.
"Only when the Internet has been invented. And the online series is only when he has met us. In the Meantime, I believe the Melee score is 25 – 28 in your favor?" Arceus put a disc into a box like console, then grabbed one of the controllers that was on the floor. Aaron smirked.
"Yeah. Lemme hand your Lamma-ass to you!" He said as he picked up another controller.
"Bring it you Ganon Fiend!" and with that the game fight was on, with the baby creation trio sitting in some bean bags watching the fight. The old creation trio? Dialga and Palkia were behind the couch with a smirk while Giratina was near some stairs, just sweat dropping and shaking his head, before the 3 vanished into light, being absorbed by the new ones of this timeline.
