Prison under the sand
The door was bolted shut. That was the first thing that crossed Hinata's mind as she looked at the door leading to Sasuke's room. Prison door she reminded herself. She Activated her Byakugan and looked inside finding a man inside alone bound by chains. She held her breath and gave a nod to the warden who in turn tapped the door with his hand. A group of seven guards started to cut a way into the room, Hinata only turned to see the warden leave just as he made it to the end of the hallway. She couldn't blame him for wanting to leave. Hinata entered first against the combined force of the seven guards behind her. As they approached she stopped them with her right hand raising it slowly. They gave a nod reluctantly and went back to their posts around the hallway.
Sasuke sniffed the air when he heard the steps reach a foot or possibly three away from him. The lavender caught him off guard to the point he sniffed the air again to be sure. His mind envisioned Hinata then Naruto the reason he knew of her existence. She shadowed him often. Hinata walked up to Sasuke a foot away. Sasuke's arms, eyes, and legs were chained yet there was something that made her stand on edge. She noticed A cloth had been placed over the top of his face then a helmet over it. The four chains connected to the walls locked his head in a single position. She walked up to his helmet and removed the lock. The chains fell down creating a loud clanging noise. Hinata winced at the sound.
The sound of a neck cracking caught Hinata off guard. She twisted back to the door then frantically looked around the room. Eventually found Sasuke slowly cracking his neck to one side then the other. She nervously bit the lower of her lip and crunched her face as she didn't know how to ask the question the right way. She nervously began with a simple hello. To which Sasuke smirked, he didn't know what her visit was about but her hesitation while he was chained up was amusing to him for some reason. Sasuke replied back with a hello once he deemed the conversation to slow already. His usual indifference response would have have slowed Hinata in responding he calculated. Hinata moved a few steps to the right then left before she moved closer to Sasuke.
She placed her hands on his throat slowly and delicately. He began to thrash as much as possible against the heavy restraints. Sasuke sharply inhaled the moment he felt her hands and the thought of Hinata slaying him crossed his mind. She planned to cut his airways with her hands. Sasuke stated as a command to stop. Hinata shaking powered through Hinata placed two fingers on each side feeling his veins for a pulse. This caused Sasuke to settle down and think.
"I wanted to be sure you would answer honestly, I needed to know because I would be putting my life in your hands." Hinata said in a soft voice.
The room was silent then. If Sasuke had the use of his arms he would have grabbed her hands and pushed them off. Hinata moved closer just a few inches from him and placed her left hand over his heart. Sasuke mind was confused beyond words.
"What do you mean?" Sasuke asked slowly.
"Our village is spread to thin, Almost everyone is on a mission even the youngest and its not just our village every major village is doing the same . Some are escorting, rebuilding, and hunting criminals."
"So You want to borrow my strength and need to free me for a mission?" Sasuke asked a bit smugly.
"No I want you to accompany me on a mission, I can't free you early." Hinata admitted.
"Then how would I accompany you, if I wanted to go?" Sasuke asked.
"Your eyes and chakra will still be sealed but your body will be free while we go to the desert to…" Hinata explained
"No. Why would anyone agree to do this?" Sasuke asked sharply
"Your remaining 3 year sentence will be forgiven, it's a risk as I will have to protect us both while you lead us." Hinata said nervously.
"Lead?" Sasuke emphasized the word.
"There is a underground lab Orochimaru abandoned when he died, Danzo took it over before you killed him as well." Hinata explained.
"Why now? I may know the place but why ask now? What has changed?" Sasuke asked
"The desert around the lab on the surface is the place where a road is being made for the traders. It will be the biggest trader route and an important place. The five villages who invested in the road think they are striking from the lab." Hinata clarified
"What does this have to do with you?" Sasuke asked sharply
"The Hyuga clan won't let me marry until they believe me strong enough to lead the clan. I want to be able to marry when Naruto asks me and not have to wait for my clan to approve it. " Hinata said with a deep red blush.
