Report on Velesflëge
By Valkyrie Alvitr
Dated: 7th December 2019
Alejandro Martinez (Director Of Intelligence Bureau Schicksal' Velesflëge')
Velesflëge (The word meant fledgling of the Devil) was the Shchicksal Intelligence Bureau who, carried out the most heinous crimes under the shadows for the Overseer. The roots of Velesflëge can be traced back to the late 2000s, during the aftermath of the Second Impact. After the North American Schicksal Branch declared themselves as Anti Entropy, the young and upstart Alejandro Martinez brought the proposal of Velesflëge to Overseer Otto. Who gave Alejandro the greenlight.
The main objective of this organization was to gain the upper hand against the AE through covert operations. However, with time, this organization transformed into something downright horrifying.
This organization possessed one thousand members, at any given, under its name. With four-hundred-seventy-eight men and five hundred and twenty-two women, out of which many were child soldiers.
The number of Valkyries in their ranks ranged from three hundred to four hundred. However, the actual number cannot be pinpointed as the mortality rate of the members on the field was very high. Thus, getting dead members replaced every few months was a common practice. This led to a disparity between the number of Valkyries that served the duration of Near Third Impact and the Kolosten War.
However, according to Liguenia documents, On the seventh of December 2014, the Velesflëge had two-hundred and ninety-seven Valkyries serving, with the most notable being S-Rank Valkyrie (Then A-Rank) Rita Roseweisse, who served the Velesflëge from the year 2012 to 2014. She left the group for unknown reasons after 24th December 2014.
Objectives
Global Web of Spies: The Velesflëge's primary objective was to establish an intricate network of spies across the globe. Their agents infiltrated the AE Administration, military installations, and scientific research facilities in both AE and neutral territories.
Intelligence Gathering: The Velesflëge focused on gathering critical intelligence related to AE Troop's movements, technological advancements, and political strategies. Their information could sway the course of battles and influence the war's outcome.
Sabotage and Disruption: Beyond intelligence, the Velesflëge engaged in sabotage. They disrupted supply lines, destroyed key infrastructure, and sowed chaos within enemy ranks. Their motto: "Tacite ferite, fortiter ferite."
Designing Artificial Honkai Outbreaks: Under the orders of Overseer Otto and advice from Dr Magi Dr Bohdan, the Velesflëge would engage in targetting insignificant small towns and villages. They would introduce unbearable levels of Honkai radiation in such places, exposing innocent civilians to Honkai corruption. All of this was done to find a natural Valkyrie or a human who can withstand Honkai corruption without scientific interference. Approximately nine million people died during these operations.
Recruitment Of Child Soldiers: They were also involved in recruiting and training child soldiers, who would later go on and join the ranks of 'Velesflëge', 'Valkyrie' and 'Muscadins'.
Tactics and Operations
Advanced Technology: The Velesflëge leveraged cutting-edge technology for communication and encryption. Their home-developed system, H.E.R.M.E.S., allowed secure transmission of coded messages, making them nearly impossible to intercept.
Assassination: Within Velesflëge, there was a squadron named 'Lilith'; some of their deadliest operatives, specialized in targeted assassinations, were part of that squadron. High-ranking officers, scientists, and politicians fell victim to Lilith's lethal precision.
Psychological Warfare: The Velesflëge excelled in psychological manipulation. They spread disinformation, planted false leads, and exploited enemy fears. Their goal was to create confusion and mistrust among the Anti Entropy.
Double Agents: The Velesflëge infiltrated Anti Entropy intelligence agencies, turning some of their own agents into double agents. These moles fed misleading information back to their superiors, causing strategic blunders.
This is the basic idea of Velesflëge. More information can be found in report number 234 by Bianka Ataegina. That report talks about all Velesflëge operations in the last two decades.
This document is dedicated chiefly to the infamous operation the Velesflëge undertook in Europe and the crime they committed against humanity in the name of victory over Honkai.
The operation was named 'Dusk'. It was the brainchild of the then-acting director, Alejandro Martinez. The idea was to create a chain of planned Honkai outbreaks across small towns and villages across Europe. This was done under the advice of Dr. Bohdan and Overseer Otto. The Operation was decided to be carried out on 7th December 2014, at 0700 Hrs GMT.
This operation saw the first and last large-scale movement of Velesflëge members. All thousand of them were involved in it. The locations targetted are as follows:
1. Quito
2. Belgrade
3. Luton
4. Galway
5. Bologna
6. Imola
7. Merida
8. Padua
9. Heidelberg
10. Granada
This operation turned out to be a failure. It caused more damage than the results it had promised. Out of the two hundred and seventy-nine Velesflëge Valkyrie, only five survived. Most of them died because of the unprecedented Honkai radiation that they were not prepared for, as well as the use of Hersscher cores at some locations.
As for the regular members, five hundred perished. They were all killed by Valkyrie turned Honkai beasts. This marked the first and last failure of Velesflëge. Operation Dusk also marked the end of the crusade to find natural Honkai-resistant humans. However, by that time, approximately fifteen million people, men, women and children, had perished.
In the aftermath of this operation, Velesflëge had cleaned up their tracks and made this event look like a natural Honkai outbreak. Anyone who tried to speak against them was swiftly assassinated. Even the documents concerning this operation were buried in Liguenia until S-Rank Valkyrie Bianka Ataegina and Rita Rossewise retrieved them.

7th December 2019
1400 Hours
Liguenia, Spain
"Rita," Durandal called. She was clad in her Palatinus Equinox suit as she picked up the bundle of thick binders Alvitr had unearthed from the Velesflëge secret headquarters.
"Yes," Rita answered as she walked into the dark room that Alejandro Martinez once used as his office. The room oozed with the smell of blood and flesh, as if the owner had butchered millions in this room. It had been over five years since she last stepped into this room, but even now, she felt the chills.
"We found the documents you mentioned." Durandal handed her the binders. They had a green cover with the word 'Velesflëge' along with the head of a devil impaled with a sword printed on it. "Can you cross-check them?"
"Gladly," Rita nodded. "Though I would need some time."
"I am aware of that." Durandal smiled at her. "No one can go through these documents instantly."
Rita chuckled as she called in support. Their operation in Liguenia was now over. They had found all the documents pertaining to 'Velesflëge' and 'Muscadins', along with raw footage of the atrocities committed in Operation Dusk. These clips would showcase some of the most heinous crimes that humanity has committed since its inception. Moreover, she knew the world was not ready for it. Even she was not ready for them.
However, as per the order from Overseer Theresa, these crimes can no longer go on unforgiven. The perpetrators need to be punished. Even if they were a Valkyrie, who was the pillar of the organization or a boy who was like a son to the Overseer. Justice was to be served to all.
It took around two hours for the support unit to retrieve everything from the old Velesflëge headquarters. Many puked their guts out when they crossed the prison. That place had an odour strong enough to kill a human. No one could understand how the prisoners lived there.
Just next to it was the interrogation room. The dark rock walls had patches of dried blood interlinked, making a disgusting web. At the centre was a table made of the same dark stone. This was the place where the interrogator would break the victims. If the victim spoke quickly, they would only lose a finger; if they were stubborn, they would lose all their fingers and more.
There was a time when Rita had witnessed an interrogator injecting Honkai particles into parts of a victim's body, and as soon as the corruption would start at that body part, they would cut it. This would continue until the victim gave them the intel Schicksal required.
Moreover, once the intel was extracted, the victim would be terminated. The death was not painless at all. As the former executioner, Rita still had nightmares where she would see the lifeless face of those she mercilessly killed.
"Rita?" Durandal gently placed her arms on her shoulder. This gesture brought her back to reality. "are you okay?"
Rita nodded as she squeezed Durandal's hand, thanking her. This place was a reminder of a past she wanted to run from, yet here she was. She had to face the demons of her past one last time.
I have steeled my resolve, Sal. Rita walked out of the bunker towards the makeshift camp they had built. I hope you have steeled yours too.
A/N Well this is more of a bonus chapter than an interlude. I can't believe I created so much lore for a fan-fiction *Cries in corner* But then again it only makes the story richer. To be honest I had never planned on making the story take this route but honestly, I am really enjoying this aspect of it as it allows me to really delve into the emotions and thought processes of every character surrounding out dear tuna and Sal. Now next chapter will be the continuation of where we left off last time. I hope this chapter answered some of the questions that the last chapter raised.
Once again happy reading!
