Chapter seven:

Kaoru sits down on the bed as he is about to turn in for the night. He had a fun day catching up with his host club family. He checks his phone that he turned off for awhile to just enjoy the time together. His smile quickly turns into a frown upon seeing his screen light up.

Several missed messages and several missed calls from his husband.

Kaoru decides to not read or listen to any of the messages left. He turns his phone off again then settles down into bed. He shuts his eyes trying to focus on the good that came today. Until he ends up falling asleep.

The next day...

Hikaru is already up though is letting Kaoru sleep in. He turns as a maid approaches.

"There is a guest at the door." The maid informs Hikaru looking a bit unsure. Her being so unsure makes Hikaru pretty sure who it is.

Hikaru storms his way to the front door flinging it open before the servants can for him. He narrows his eyes at Daiki standing there.

Daiki is dressed up in a black suit looking like he is ready for some kind of date.

"What do you want?" Hikaru growls at Daiki who stares back at him.

"To make things right."

Hikaru snorts at this. "Too late for that." He moves a few steps forward getting in Daikis face with an angry growl. "You lost your chance with him."

"It was a sacrifice to keep things going good. To keep it the way it was. I thought those from a rich family would understand this." Daiki barely finishes that before Hikaru punches him in the face making him stumble a little.

"You have no right talking like that. There is no excuse for what you did!" Hikaru keeps his narrowed eyes on the man before him. "You're just lucky it's me and not Hunny. He would have made you unable to walk out of here." He is now actually tempted to call to the others who stayed the night so they can get in on some of this.

Daiki shifts a step back straightening from being hunched over. He looks at Hikaru right in the eyes. "She planned to try to spread lies to ruin me. So she could have my company under hers."

Hikaru punches Daiki in the other cheek. "You slept with her before any of that happened! You took her into the bed that you shared with my brother!" He glares at the man who straightens up more right away this time. "You wouldn't have been in this mess if you didn't decide to get your dick wet inside her! You started this whole thing and you made it worse by telling the whole world you cheated on your husband!" He is practically screaming at Daiki at this point. "You don't deserve any sort of sympathy!"

Daiki looks like he is about to argue when someone from the shadows steps out.

"He's right." Kyouya mentions as the two turn to look at him. His gaze not hidden by the glare on his glasses as he death glares Daiki.

Daiki slightly steps back at the gaze.

Even Hikaru barely hides a flinch from how much death Kyouya is showing. He is just glad it isn't directed at him. Though he is also pretty happy that Kyouya is sharing his same murderous feeling.

"Not even the rich actually believe that cheating is okay. Those that do it are actually looked down upon by others in the rich community." Kyouya moves closer to Daiki as if planning a secret stab attack on him. His unwavering death gaze never leaving the man. "You were supposed to fill sweet Kaoru's life with many pleasant things. He was supposed to be what you cared about most. He was supposed to be the only one you brought into your bed in that way." He grabs Daikis collar forcing him quite close to really feel his murderous intentions. "Now you've ruined your own life. And we all will be making sure that you don't go dragging Kaoru down with you."

"That was never my intention." Daiki hisses back then goes flying when Kyouya punches him. He hits the ground with a gasp.

"Action speak louder than words." Kyouya states. "And I will personally be helping to make sure that none of your stupidity stays with Kaoru or the kids. They'll have an excellent life without you scumbag. Hope you see the cheating as worth it since you lost the best thing to ever walk into your life." He nudges Hikaru inside then closes the door.

Hikaru wants to go beat the shit out of Daiki only to be stopped by a hand on his shoulder. He looks to Kyouya who now looks smug.

"Don't worry. He only got a taste of what will be coming to him. He ruined himself and he will pay that price. I already have it all set into motion. That bastard will find that his precious legacy or whatever will be crumbling before him."

Hikaru nods knowing that if anyone has the capability for that it is Kyouya.

Meanwhile...

Kaoru is awake and after a bit of just relaxing in bed he turns on his phone. He is thinking about playing some phone games when he gets a call from Daiki. He narrows his eyes and throws the phone across the bed turning his back to it. He lets it go to voicemail. He hears it buzz a few more times as Daiki is likely texting him. He raises his head when his bedroom door creaks open. He spots Kayson and Rowan poking their heads inside. He sits fully up and smiles to them opening his arms in invitation.

The two children run over to him quickly being embraced by the adult.

"We want to stay with you forever." Kayson mentions snuggling against Kaoru's chest.

"You're our daddy. The only daddy we need." Rowan agrees making Kaoru go teary eyed. Her little hands gripping at Kaoru's night shirt; One he especially started wearing after adopting the children.

Kaoru finds himself getting teary eyed and he gives loving nuzzles to both of them. "I'll keep you with me and raise you right." He promises the two of them. He has a pretty good feeling that both Haruhi and Kyouya can convince any court to keep any custody or visitation away from Daiki. He stays with the two children letting them cuddle him as they get smiles on their faces for it. He silently promises to live the best he can and put it all towards their sake. He wonders if they should even go on a trip with the other children to make them all have fun together. He decides to talk to the others about the idea later. For now he'll enjoy the company of his two precious children.
