Chapter 8: Underground Inftration

Mirage Saloon Zone Underground

Sonic, Manic, and Sonia arrived at a shortcut to Fang's hideout.

"This way, guys. Fang is going to expect me to check in, so I gotta go. Your girl is on the 2nd floor." Manic said.

"You're not setting us up, are you?" Sonic asked.

"You never set up family."

"That's my brother." Sonic smiled as he and Sonia made their way to the 2nd floor.

Tails and the Others

"I pinpointed the location of the broadcast, and it came from somewhere in this underground cavern." Tails said.

"I'm surprised this place is even down here." Knuckles sighed, wiping his brow due to the accumulating sweat.

"It is the best place to have a hideout. No one would dare think to look in an underground desert cavern." Silver added.

"So how do we find the girls?" Blaze asked.

"Well, according to my readings, there are 4 floors to this cavern. We're currently on the 1st floor, so the girls must be on one of the lower floors."

"Wait, I hear someone coming! Hide!" Shadow told the group.

"How many?" Silver whispered.

"Two."

The group waited until the figures walked around the corner.

"Sonic!" Tails exclaimed.

"Hey, guys! I'm guessing you're here to save the girls, too?" Sonic smiled, happy to see his friends again.

"Of course we are. Do you know where they are, and, wait, Sonia?" Knuckles gasped.

"Knuckles, is that really you?" Sonia asked, gasping also.

"Wait, you two know each other?"

"I'll explain later." Sonia told her brother.

"Sonic, who is she?" Tails asked.

"Sonia, my sister. We'll do introductions after we save the girls. They're on the 2nd floor. Let's go!" Sonic answered as everyone followed him to the 2nd floor entrance.

The group soon reached the door that lead to the room the girls were being held in. Only problem was Team Hooligan was also by the door, guarding it.

"Geez, I thought you said Speedy Cheese would be here by now, Nack." Bean sighed.

"Don't call me Nack!" Fang yelled.

Bark rolled his eyes. He wasn't much of a talker.

"I can handle these jokers alone." Sonic told the group.

"No, Sonic. Our girls, our fight. Right, Knuckles?" Tails replied, then asked.

"Damn right! Mess with my family, you mess with me!" Knuckles growled, ready to fight.

"That's the way, Knux!" Sonic exclaimed as the trio walked out to retrieve their ladies, and for Sonic and Knuckles, the mothers of their children.

Sarah, Karson, and Precious would not be happy if Amy and Rouge did not return.

"Finally, you showed up." Bean rolled his eyes.

"Ok, listen up, nerds. Hand over our ladies and we can forget this whole thing ever happened." Sonic said, pounding his right fist into his left palm,

"Not a chance. Last time, that royal whore payed me to get you, and as we all know, you got off the hook WAY too easy." Fang said, loading his pistol.

"You don't mess with my wife and expect to get away with it!" Knuckles spat.

"Well, take your complaints up with this guy."

Bark walked up and pounded his fists.

"I'm not afraid of this fucker! Sonic, Tails, let's save our girls!"
