Chapter 9: The Apples of Our Eyes

So it was Team Heroes vs. Team Hooligan for Amy, Cream, and Rouge.

"Well, Fang, I'm here and Sally isn't around, so I guess you got your little one on one matchup." Sonic said, easily dodging the bullets firing from Fang's pistol.

"Sort of." Fang answered.

"Hold still, propeller butt!" Bean growled as he kept trying to hit Tails with bombs.

"Nah, I'll pass." Tails chuckled as he swooped down and and punched Bean on his cheek.

Knuckles and Bark were throwing fierce punches, some that landed, others that didn't.

"Is that all you got?" Knuckles coughed as he threw another punch.

Bark just kept throwing punches, not making a sound.

"Say something, damn you!" Knuckles yelled.

Inside the room

"Did you hear that, girls?" Rouge asked.

"It sounded like a yell." Cream replied.

"Not just any yell, Knuckles' yell!" Rouge got a smile on her face.

"Wait, I think I hear Sonic!" Amy exclaimed. "Sonic, help!"

Outside the Room

Sonic heard Amy's cry for help.

"Amy, I'll be there soon!" Sonic exclaimed.

"No, you won't!" Fang hit Sonic on the back of the head with his gun, knocking him out.

"Sonic!" Tails called out before one of the explosions from Bean's bombs made him fly into a nearby wall, knocking him out.

"Guys!" Knuckles stated before he was knocked out by one of Bark's KO punches.

Team Heroes was down for the count.

"Well, Sonic, looks like you lost this time." Fang smirked.

"So we're just going to let them get beat up?" Shadow asked.

"Stop, Fang!" A voice called out.

"Manic?" Sonia said to herself.

"The hell are you doing here?" Fang told him.

"I'm saying I'm done!" Manic yelled.

"I'm guessing that this is Sonic's brother?" Blaze asked Sonia.

"Yep." She nodded.

"What do you mean by you're out?"

"I'm done with this whole gang thing, especially when I realized you kidnapped my sister-in-law!" Manic answered.

"You can't just back out." Bean said.

"Oh, yes, I can!" Manic pulled out a gun.

"Oh, wow, I'm so scared." Fang laughed.

Manic glared and shot at a light fixture hanging from above Team Hooligan, causing it to fall on Bark's head, knocking him out.

"That doesn't scare me." Fang said, unfazed.

Manic shot a bomb in Bean's hand, blowing it up,

"Wow!" Bean huffed before he fell out.

"N-nope, not f-fazing me." Fang coughed be caused of the smoke.

"Don't say I didn't warn you!" Manic shot at Fang's feet, making him hop.

"Whoa, chill, now!" Fang growled.

"Nope, not until you surrender." Manic smirked.

Tails stirred.

"Go, little man! Save the girls." Manic told Tails.

Tails nodded as Manic ran over and knocked Fang out with the back of his gun.

Tails opened the door, revealing the bound and blindfolded girls.

"Are you three ok?" Tails asked.

"Tails!" Cream called out in happiness.

"I'm here." Tails said, untying the girls.

Cream hugged and kissed him while Amy and Rouge ran out to Sonic and Knuckles.

"Sonic!" Amy cried as she ran over to Sonic and hugged him.

"Amy, is that you?" Sonic stirred.

"Yes, it's me. Are you ok?"

"I will be when this migraine passes." Sonic groaned, holding his head.

Amy giggled and kissed him.

"Knuckie, are you sure you're ok?" Rouge asked, kissing him.

"You keep doing that and I sure will be." Knuckles answered, grunting from his bruises.

"Thanks, bro. You saved us." Sonic gave a thumbs up to Manic.

"No problemo, bro." Manic winked back.

"Sonic, who are these two other hedgehogs?" Amy asked with a confused look on her face.

"Everyone, I would like for you all to meet my brother and sister, Manic and Sonia." Sonic introduced his siblings to his wife and friends.

"Sup."

"Hello everyone."

"Let's head back to the Sky Warrior. Also, did we get the Chaos Emerald?" Sonic asked.

"Yep. Shadow has it." Silver answered.

"Nice."

Shadow pulled out the emerald.

"Chaos Control!"

They were all gone in a poof.
