A/N: Hi again! Here is the next chapter that will still focus on Raphael.
At a mansion in the woods, Shredder was still recovering as the mutagen that Stockman-Fly injected into his arm is slow in the process. "It's taking too long, Stockman. I grow severely impatient."
"Zir, normal mutagen izz unstable, and can warp your mind," Stockman-Fly warned as he pressed buttons. "With thizz new mutagen serum, I can control the outcome. But it will take time."
"Time is what I do not have," Shredder said. "Every moment that passes, I lose more control of this city. My henchmen have grown… useless. Heh, it is ironic that my most loyal servant is a lowly housefly. After everything, I must completely rely on you, Stockman."
Stockman-Fly overheard what Shredder said and turns to him, looking pleased. "Thank you, Mazzter Shredder. I will not let you down." He returned back to his first lab in the city. "I muzzt be diligent. These old designs will be most awesome. Now izz the time for Zztockman-Fly to rise! For the glory of Shredder!"
Meanwhile at the sewer lair, Casey are playing video games with Donnie as he was already recovered from the battle against Don Vizioso and his men with the help of the Turtles, April, Karai, Shinigami and the Mighty Mutanimals. "And the winner is: Casey Jones! Cha-ching!"
Donnie was frustrated. "Ah, old school games are stupid. I'm more into a modern, fully-immersive 3-D experience."
Mikey arrived with the boxes of pizza, tossing each one to Donnie, Casey and Raph. "I'll give you a fully-immersive P-D experience. "P" as in "Pizza," and "D" as in "Delicious. " Yeah, boy!"
Raph frowned. "What, this is all we get, Mikey? And you keep the rest?"
"You're right, brah," Mikey smirked as he tossed the pizza to Raph. "I'm being greedy."
"Remind me to smack you later," Raph said as he was about to eat his pizza.
April noticed a cockroach on Raph's pizza. "Raph?"
Raph sighs as he knocked a cockroach away without saying another word.
Casey was surprised. "You're not freaking out?"
Raph chuckled. "Eh, after you've been to a planet full of bugs, nothing bothers you anymore."
Donnie looked worried. "Even after Mona Lisa betrayed you, and you were almost eaten by a giant scorpion monster?"
Raph started to get annoyed. "Can we drop the Mona Lisa thing already? Seriously!"
April smiled nervously. "Well, it's awesome you got over your bug phobia, Raph. That's really hard to do."
Leo arrived with Suki. "All right, ninjas, finish fueling up fast, 'cause we're heading out on patrol."
"Leo's right," Suki agreed. "Shredder's out there somewhere. Who knows what he's cooking up? Robots? Mutants? Maybe something even worse."
Meanwhile at an old lab, a businessman and a teenage girl was about to be mutated by Stockman-Fly. "Listen, you disgusting vagrant. You don't realize how valuable my time is. Let me go! I have a meeting with the shareholders at 9:00 a. m. sharp! And I also have to take my daughter to school! If I miss that..."
"What you and the kid won't be missing is your appointment and her class with mutation," Stockman-Fly chortled. "You will soon become a half-beetle, half spider, super mutant! And the girl will be a ladybug mutant." He turned to the mutant ants who cut the ropes. "Drop them!"
"You'll be hearing from my lawy-ahh!" the man screamed as he fell into the mutagen tub and the teenage girl fell into the other, causing them to mutate into insects.
Stockman-Fly saw that both the mutations are complete when he went to check on the two new mutants. "Finally, now I get to be the boss. I can order you to be my friends. We will watch sci-fi movies. Eat candy, play Mazes and Mutants. And cause total chaos and destruction! But first, we must replenish the Master's money vaults. And there's no better way than the old-fashioned way. If you need money, steal it!"
Meanwhile out in the city, Donnie is driving the Party Wagon with April on board.
"So what's the plan, D?" April asked.
Donnie looks at April. "We each take a borough, looking for any signs of Shredder activity."
"Um, Brooklyn is huge, Donnie," April replied. "Needle? Haystack?"
"We should be able to turn up something as long as the whole team stays focused," Donnie said.
Elsewhere on the rooftops, Mikey was talking with Leo and Suki about TV shows. "No way, dude! Crognard is like the greatest cartoon ever!"
"Hello, are you serious?" Leo frowned. "Space Heroes! Captain Ryan! I mean, come on! Didn't you see the episode where they fought the Cortexicons?"
"Well, I prefer Super Robo Mecha Force Five," Suki said. "You know those characters represent you guys and April?"
Donnie's voice was heard on Mikey's T Phone. "I hate to break up this vastly important conversation, but any signs of the Foot?"
"Nada, Bromeo," Mikey replied.
Casey was talking on the phone as he and Raph are patrolling elsewhere. "This is pointless. Shredder's out of commission."
"We don't know that!" Raph said. "He could be out there right around the corner." Soon, he and Casey heard an alarm coming from the bank. "Um, I say we patrol in that direction." The duo hurried towards the bank.
Outside of the bank, the police arrived, arm with their guns. "Come out with your hands up," one of them said.
The freaky bug mutant came out with the ladybug mutant. "Which ones?"
"We have so many," the ladybug mutant spoke.
One of the police noticed Stockman-Fly and a mutant ant coming out. "What the heck are they, dude?"
"Dirty, filthy hippies," the second police replied. "Let's take 'em down for the good ol' U. S. of A."
The giant bug mutant grabbed the police and throws them onto the building wall. "Stupid cops."
"Get the cash!" Stockman-Fly commanded the mutant ant who does nothing. "I am your boss! You listen to me! Or no candy."
The mutant ant obeys the fly's command and makes more ants come out as they enter the bank and steal all the money.
Stockman-Fly was happy. "Yes, yes! They're listening. They like me. They really like me!"
Casey arrived with Raph. "Okay, so not Shredder, but got to say, these insect dudes look pretty cool." He pulled out his hockey stick. "But just 'cause you have a sweet thorax doesn't make you too cool to squash. Right, Raph?" He noticed that Raph is whimpering in fear. "Uh, hello? Earth to Raph?" Casey charges towards the mutant ants and attacks them. "Goongala! Whoa, look at this one, Raph. Those dripping mandibles are so cool and deadly-looking."
Raph was fighting off the tough bug mutant and a ladybug mutant. "Yeah. Mandibles. Great."
Casey smirked. "Call me the Exterminator, 'cause I'm here to swat some bugs."
Raph screams as he looks at Stockman-Fly, then the ladybug mutant and then the giant bug mutant. Then he starts to hallucinate. "Bugs! Too many bugs! Ah!" He sees an hallucination of Lord Dregg. "Dregg? It can't be! Ah!" Raph screams as he sees Dreggs multiplying and then sees the hallucination of Mona Lisa. "Mona Lisa?" He hugs but instead… he was hugging a mutant cockroach hallucination. "Ah! No! Not you! Anybody but you!"
Casey was still fighting off the mutant ants. "Snap out of it! Kind of need a little help, dude." He sees Raph running off. "Ah, totally not cool."
The ladybug mutant watched the mutant ants pin Casey down. "Looks like we got ourselves a chew toy, daddy."
"Excellent," Stockman-Fly said. "This human ally is part of our haul now. Bind him!"
"With pleasure, Dexter," the bug mutant said as he and the ladybug mutant approached Casey.
Stockman-Fly was annoyed with the others mispronouncing his name. "It's Baxter. Baxter. Baxter!"
Casey saw that the giant bug mutant spit green stuff on his pants. "Ah, sick! It's like, seeping into my undies, brah!" Then he screams as the ladybug mutant approaches him.
Meanwhile, April arrived with Donnie at an alleyway. "They have to be near here."
"Yeah, their T-phones pinged off a nearby cell tower not long before we lost contact," Donnie agreed.
Mikey arrived with Leo and Suki. "What up?"
"You guys seen Raphael and Casey Jones anywhere?" Suki asked.
Leo looks at Suki. "Knowing Casey, they probably got into a pickup street hockey game in the Bronx."
Raph's voice was heard in the dumpster. "Get away, get away, get away, get away, get away!"
"I hear a voice, but no way it's Raph," Mikey said to the others. "It's way too high and whiny."
April heard Raph screaming and went to open the dumpster. "Raph? Oh, my gosh. Are you okay?"
Raph panicked. "No, get off of me! Get away! I don't want to be eaten."
Mikey pulled Raph and gets an idea. "I got this. You just have to be sweet, sensitive, and caring."
Raph gets a slap in the face. "Ow! Mikey! Why you…" He paused and looks at Mikey. "You ...You snapped me out of it. Thanks, little bro."
Mikey smiled. "No problemo. That's my role in the group: to bring sanity."
Raph sighed. "So where are they? They got away, didn't they?"
"Define "They"," Leo said.
"What he means is…care to fill us in?" Suki said.
"Stockman's got three new mutants," Raph explained. "An ant that splits itself into copies, a ladybug and a big buggy spider freak. They got away with millions of dollars and Casey because of me."
Donnie looked confused. "Um, are you sure it wasn't part of your hallucination?"
"And seriously, why would bugs need money?" Suki asked, raising her eyebrow.
"Because they want to buy jetpacks," Mikey said to Suki. "It's lame having to use your wings all the time, dudette. Trust me."
Suki scoffs. "That's a dumb explanation. But still… we gotta save Casey."
"Raph, show us where all this went down," Leo said.
Soon after Raph lead the others outside of the bank, Suki finds Casey's broken hockey stick. "That's Casey's goalie stick. Welp, Casey's been bug-napped."
"Donnie, you have anything?" Leo asked.
Donnie picked up Casey's broken phone. "Well, looks like we're not gonna be able to track him by GPS."
April had an idea. "There's another way to track them."
"A telepathic scan?" Donnie asked.
April nods. "Tracking mutants is way easier than tracking humans. I've been practicing with my Aeon crystal." She used the Aeon crystal to track down anything.
Meanwhile at an old laboratory, the giant bug mutant was looking at Casey with the mutant ladybug. "Oh, yeah. I am a true artist."
"Yes, you are, daddy," the ladybug said.
Casey glared at the two mutants. "Really funny. Keep it classy, Scumbug and Spotty."
Scumbug was offended. "That's slander, you vile monkey."
"Very," Spotty agreed.
"You really have bug-sized brains, don't you?" Casey said. "This hideout is weak sauce."
"How about one right there?" Spotty said as Scumbug slimed Casey, much to Stockman-Fly's amusement.
As Stockman-Fly laughs, Scumbug came to him. "No, the filthy human is right. When the Turtles realize their pet monkey is missing..."
"This is going to be the first place they look!" Stockman-Fly agreed. "We need a new hideout."
Scumbug nodded. "Someplace fortified. Hard to reach."
"And where keep my favorite chew toy," Spotty said, nuzzling Casey.
"But first, we solve a bigger problem," Stockman-Fly said. "Ones that are destroying Shredder's empire. Karai and her meddling pets… the Mighty Mutanimals!"
At Shredder's old lair, Karai saw Slash, Leatherhead, Mondo Gecko and the Foot Soldiers arriving. "Well?"
Slash looks at Karai. "No sign of the Shredder. He must no longer be in the city."
Karai looks down at three of the Mutanimals and hisses at them in her snake form. "Go! Keep looking. Take your search to New Jersey, upstate look everywhere. Now, leave me."
As Slash, Leatherhead and Mondo Gecko was about to set off with the Foot Soldiers, Dr. Rockwell sense something as he turns around to see some mutant ants. "Great Scott!"
Karai noticed as well. "What the…?" She jumped back to where the Mighty Mutanimals are standing as the mutant ants broke in and fights them off until she saw Stockman-Fly, Scumbug and Spotty arriving. "Stockman?"
"Buzzard Manfly?" Leatherhead mispronounced Stockman-Fly's name.
Stockamn-Fly glared at Leatherhead. "It's Baxter Stockman, dino gator!" He turned to Karai, holding up Mondo Gecko. "And hello Karai. No ninjas or mutants to help you?"
Karai glared at the mutant fly. "Of all the freaks Shredder would send to take me down, he sends his lowly bug."
"I am his indispensable ally!" Stockman-Fly shouted.
"I can't wait to dispense with you," Karai said as she changed to her snake form and attacks Stockman-Fly.
"Mutanimals, ho!" Slash wields his mace as he, Leatherhead, Dr. Rockwell and Mondo Gecko fights off Scumbug, Spotty and some mutant ants.
Karai watched Scumbug shooting webs at the Mutanimals. "Okay, that's just gross!" She rushed back to help them but she, Slash, Leatherhead and Dr. Rockwell gets webbed to the ceiling.
Stockman-Fly flew up to Karai and the three Mutanimals. "First we will end you and your not-so-mighty Mutanimals, then we'll get those stupid Turtles."
Mikey arrived with the rest of the Turtles, April and Suki. "Who you calling stupid, stupid?" He knocked down Stockman-Fly.
While Karai and the Mutanimals were relieved, Leo smirked. "You just can't seem to keep away from us mutants, can you?"
"Just get me out!" Karai said, looking annoyed, as Leo frees her, Slash and Dr. Rockwell before fighting off Scumbug, Spotty and some mutant ants.
"Hang on, Leatherhead!" Mikey frees Leatherhead and then the two fights the mutant ants. "Back off, Antrax! Wow, see how fast I came up with that?"
Leo was attacked by Scumbug. "Little help?"
"Leo!" Suki cried as she and April attacks Scumbug before she gets pinned down by Spotty.
"We need some wings," April said before she gets grabbed by Stockman-Fly. "These guys are too—"
Raph fights off Antrax and starts to hallucinate. "Mandibles!" He sees Mona Lisa. Then he screams as the hallucination of mutant bugs stop him. "I'm coming! Hold on, Mona Lisa!" Raph went through the mutants and then grabbed Mona Lisa. What he didn't know that he was kissing a mutant ant, much to Donnie, Mikey and Leatherhead's disgust. He snapped out of it and screamed as he pushed away Antrax. "Was I... I was gone again! What happened?"
"The bugs not only got Karai and Slash, they got April, Suki and Leo, too!" Donnie explained.
Raph frowned as he knew that Donnie was right. "Oh, no." Later at the dojo in the lair, he looked at Master Splinter who was tending his injury. "I'm fine, Master Splinter. We need to find the others. Those buggy freaks have 'em."
"If you do not allow yourself to heal, you will be of no help to anyone," Splinter warned. "This wound runs deep."
Raph shrugged it off. "It's just a bug bite."
Master Splinter points to Raph's arm and then his head. "I speak not of the wound here, but of the wound here."
Raph sighs. "I thought I was past my bug phobia. But clearly I'm not, and the team's suffering because of it."
"It takes time, my son," Splinter said. "Damage to the mind and spirit are no less grave than injuries to the body."
Raph frowned. "But Sensei, I was on an entire planet of bugs. That should have cured me just by exposure, right?"
"Not necessarily," Master Splinter said as he turned away. "It is clear that you are still shell-shocked. Pardon the pun."
"What do I do to get un-shell-shocked?" Raph asked.
"Find your center," Splinter replied as he sat down. "Meditation will enlighten your path."
"No offense, Master, but I don't think daydreaming will help," Raph sighs.
"Not daydreaming," Master Splinter said. "Meditation. I will teach you a personal mantra to chant. It will focus you. Kore wa nanimo imi shinai. Kore wa nanimo imi shinai. Repeat."
"Kore wa nanimo imi shinai," Raph said.
Master Splinter knew that Raph is following along. "Yes. Continue."
Meanwhile at the lab, Dr. Rockwell was amazed when he looks at Donnie's grappling harnesses. "Gotta say, those things are useful when it comes to reaching for distant places."
Mikey smiled. "Wow, dude! Is that a girdle? Looks comfy."
Donnie was annoyed. "It's not a girdle! It's something I started before we took off for space. With these air-launched grappling hooks, we can travel vertically up a building, or at any angle we want, like Stockman-Fly and his bugs! You know, in theory."
Mondo Gecko smiled. "Then let's put that theory into practice, yo!"
Mikey nods. "On it, Mondo!"
Donnie shouted as the grappling harness was activated, sending him everywhere until Leatherhead catches him.
"You alright?" Leatherhead asked.
Donnie smiled. "It worked!" He gave Mikey a high three.
"We rule! Booyakabunga!" Mikey cheered.
Meanwhile at a construction site, Stockman-Fly spoke to his insect army. "This is the perfect new lair. High up in the clouds, where an insect belongs. We'll fill the place with money and riches for Master Shredder."
"And it's just three of us," Spotty said as she looks at Casey. "And the chew toy too."
"My daughter's right," Scumbug said. "We don't need anyone now, Baxter. That money belongs to us!"
Stockman-Fly looked at Scumbug and Spotty angrily. "No! It is about loyalty! Friendship!"
April called out to Stockman-Fly while being trapped on the web with Suki, Leo, Karai and Slash. "Um, Tyler? Hello? What about us?"
Stockman-Fly flew over to them. "Why, you will make a wonderful organic food supply."
Karai was surprised. "Food supply? You're going to eat us? He's going to eat us?"
Scumbug sees three Turtles and three Mutanimals in the distance. "Boss! They're coming."
Stockman-Fly noticed. "The trap is set! Ready your webs."
On the Channel 6 building, Raph was annoyed to see Mikey in his Turflytle costume. "You just had to be Turflytle, didn't you?"
"Are you ready, buzz buzz?" Mikey said as he activated his grappling harness. "Ninja harness away!"
Dr. Rockwell managed to levitate Leatherhead after he and Mondo Gecko got on his back to follow Raph, Donnie and Mikey.
Stockman-Fly sniggered. "They'll never get past us, my insect brothers." He noticed Raph and co. attack. "Wha? After them!"
Leo and the others cheered when they see the other Turtles and Mutanimals arrive.
Casey noticed that the grappling harnesses that Raph and the others have. "What are those harness things? Why don't I have a harness thing?"
Scumbug was fighting Mikey until he noticed his Turflytle costume. "What? A fellow bug?"
Mikey threw a smoke bomb at Scumbug. "It worked! I'm in your head, fool!"
As Leatherhead, Dr. Rockwell and Mondo Gecko fights off Spotty, Raph attacks Stockman-Fly and then confronts the ants. His fears started to come back to him but stops. "No. Master Splinter said to focus. Kore wa nanimo imi shinai. Kore wa nanimo imi shinai." After remembering the mantra, he battled the ants and frees Leo.
"Finally!" Leo said as he uses his grappling hook and frees April and Karai.
April prepares to fight off the bugs with Karai. "You ready?"
"Today?" Karai smiled. "You better believe it."
Casey is still stuck on the web with Suki and Slash. "Get me out! I'm missing the fight!"
Suki gets freed with Casey and Slash. "Happy now?"
Slash rushed over to help the other Mutanimals. "Let's do this!"
"I'm gonna tear you apart, reptile!" Scumbug shouted as he tries to attack Raph but gets kicked in the face and knocked off the construction site.
Mikey manages to kick the ant away. "Buzz buzz!"
"Thanks, Turflytle," Raph smiled.
Mikey smiled back at Raph. "Buzz, buzz, buzz, buzz, buzz. That means, "No problemo, my brother. "" Then he sees Stockman-Fly controlling the crane. "Look out!"
"You're in my house now, homiezz," Stockman-Fly said and then noticed Slash and Leatherhead before getting punched out of the crane and landed on a web.
Suki smiled. "Nice!"
Casey noticed Scumbug, Spotty and Antrax heading towards him and the others. "You got to be kidding me. These jokers are still kicking?"
Suki sliced the rope, causing the iron beams to land on the insects. "Gotten!"
Stockman-Fly sees his insect allies trapped and starts to fly away. "Good-bye, my friends."
"No! Boss! Wait! Oh. What about us?" Scumbug shouted.
Spotty sighs. "Let him go, dad."
"Well, at least we got the money," Leo said.
"And Stinkman's bug-thugs," Slash finished.
Raph smirked at Stockman-Fly's allies. "Abandoned, huh? Some friend he was to you guys." He returned to the lair to talk to Master Splinter. "Master, thank you. Whatever that mantra was, it worked."
"You are quite welcome, my son," Master Splinter replied.
"So, um, what did it mean, anyway?" Raph asked.
Masted Splinter replied, "It is Japanese for, "This means nothing.""
Raph was confused. "It isn't some magical chant?"
"No, the mantra meant nothing," Master Splinter explained. "Just as fear means nothing. Neither of them has any power, except the power you give them in your mind."
Raph was now amazed. "Whoa. That's deep. I think I get it, Sensei."
Master Splinter nods. "Good. Now, do not tell your brothers and your cousin. I might use that trick on them one day."
At Shredder's mansion, Stockman-Fly spoke to the Shredder about what happened. "Master Shredder, I have to report that my mission was a failure."
Shredder didn't care as he looked at his arm. "Stockman, your mutagen drip."
"Y-yes, master?" Stockman-Fly said, looking scared.
Shredder noticed that the mutagen is coursing through his veins. "It's working. It's finally working." He laughed maniacally as blades started to sprout from his arms.
End of chapter…
