The Noceda twins and King looked around the castle and see a beautiful garden, a rainbow and an elderly man with tan skin, a long white beard, a short moustache, hair that reaches the back on his neck, wearing a purple wizard robe with stars on it and wears a pair of small glasses and purple wizard cap.
"I have been waiting for you two." Said the Wizard.
"Us?!" The Noceda twins asked.
"Yes, I believe there is something about you two. My name is Adegast. But where is Eda?" Adegast asked.
"She's having a personal day." Lucas said.
"We're covering for her. " Luz stated. "I'm Luz, this is my twin brother Lucas and this is King."
"It's a pleasure to meet you all. Would you like to join me for tea and snacks." Adegast gestured.
"Let's go in!" King said right before he ran inside.
"I guess we have time." Lucas said as he, Luz and King walked with the old wizard. They entered his home and walked into a library where they sat down at a table with tea being poured in their cups. But King was more interested with the food on the table like the scones.
"Where's Eda? She usually does the delivery." Adegast asked as he drank his tea.
"Oh we're doing her deliveries for today." Luz said. "I'm actually learning to be a witch."
"I'm just here to keep her safe." Lucas added.
"I have a quest-" Adegast started.
"A quest?!" The Noceda twins asked.
"You didn't let me finish." Adegast replied. "I have a question to ask you two?"
"Oh sorry. What is it?" Luz asked.
"Would you two like to go on a quest?" Adegast asked.
"A quest?" The Noceda twins questioned.
"Somewhere on the Boiling Isles there's the Cesetial Staff, a powerful relic that will give the user unbelievable power." Adegast explained as he held a map. "But it can only be wield by the chosen one."
"A chosen one?" Lucas questioned.
"This guy is running a scam." King said with a Mouthful of scones in his mouth.
"We can trust him. Look he has a baby fox in his beard." Luz said Adegast was petting a baby fox in his beard.
"How long has he had that baby fox?" Lucas asked.
"I have the map to the staff." Adegast said as she handed Luz the map to the staff.
"Well that's great and your food's gone!" King said. "Let's go you two." King, Luz and Lucas all get up and leave.
Back in the Owl House, the Noceda twins and King were in the twins' makeshift bedroom. Lucas is showing King his copy of Percy Jackson The Lightning thief. "I have to say your book sounds cool Lucas." King said.
"Yeah Percy is a demigod, but unlike the movie the readers don't know who which God he's the son of." Lucas explained.
"Who's the father or mother?!" King asked. "I got to know!"
"Hey guys. What kind of chosen one should, a good chosen one or a bad girl chosen one?" Luz asked.
"You actually believe that wizard Luz?" Lucas asked.
"He's a wizard. He must be right. Maybe you can be a chosen one too." Luz said.
"Uh." Lucas began but King interrupts him.
"You guys are talking about wizards?" Eda asked as she entered the room while holding a severed green arm. "They're the worst."
"Eda, get this. One of your customers said that one of the twins is the chosen one." King said and broke into laughter.
Eda snickered as Lucas rolled his eyes. "He told us about the celestial staff." Luz said.
"Kid, there's no such thing as the celestial staff." Eda said. "If it was real I would have stolen it years ago."
"And what buy more Apple booze?" Lucas asked with a sarcastic tone as he closed his book.
"It's Apple Blood you Greek geek." Eda insulted.
"I can be a better witch without your teaching and work." Luz said.
"Kid, that map might be fake." Eda said.
"I'm with Eda on this one." King agreed.
"You're wrong! Lucas knows that the staff is real. Right bro?"
"Luz." Lucas sighed as he looked at his twin sister. "I feel like this is scam."
"Not you too!" Luz exclaimed. "I thought you trusted me?"
"I do. It's just that it could be a scam. Remember when you got that Azura staff. It was just a boomstick without the head."
Luz looks down in sadness and then looks at her brother in anger. "I need to be alone." Luz replied.
Lucas was about to say something, but Eda placed a hand on his shoulder and the three left Luz alone in her room. Luz walked up to the door and slammed it right in front of their faces. "Look just give her some time. She'll come to her senses soon." Eda said.
"I hope you're right." Lucas said.
15 minutes later, Lucas sat in the kitchen and thought about how he hurt Luz's feeling and her trust. "How am I going to apologize to Luz?" Lucas asked himself. "She wants to be a witch and Eda has been a witch her whole life. She even knows how to make potions more than me, along with the ingredients for potions. Maybe I should talk to Luz." Lucas said as he got up from the kitchen table and walked towards his room. "Hey Luz." Lucas looks around and sees an empty room and an open window.
Lucas ran towards the window and calls out. "Hooty! Where did my sister go!?"
Hooty went up to Lucas and said. "Hoot hoot! If you want the answer that you seek solve my riddle." Hooty said.
"I don't have time for this!" Lucas shouted.
"Solve this riddle within- Ow!" Hooty shouted as Lucas looks down and sees Eda hitting the side of the house. "Okay okay! She went to the forest towards Bonesborough! Sheesh!" Hooty said as he returned to the door.
"Come on Lucas, we're going to save your sister before she gets herself killed." Eda said. Lucas ran downstairs and hopped on Eda's staff along with King and flew off.
"I suspect this is a scam from the start." said Eda. "There is no Celestial staff."
"Have you and that wizard Adegast have been scamming each other for years?" Lucas asked.
"I don't know a wizard named Adegast." Eda said as she landed on the ground in Boneborough and got off of the staff. The trio walked into the alleyway as King lead the way. "This is where we got the snacks. I mean,met the wizard." Eda and Lucas both looked and see a ruined castle. The garden was dead, there was no rainbow and the castle looked like it was falling apart.
"It looks better when we saw it." Lucas said as the gang walked towards the ruined castle and enter the library where it was ruined, Eda looked to her left and sees copies of the map of the Celestial staff.
"I knew it." Eda said. "But something is still off."
"If we follow the map, we can find Luz." Lucas said.
"Good idea. We can find Luz faster." King said. "What do you think Eda?"
"We better. The last thing I want is a dead human." Eda said as she, King and Lucas got onto Eda's staff and flew off.
"Oh no." Eda said as they see abandoned and ruined village.
"Do you think Luz saw this or something else?" Lucas asked as he walked towards a destroyed fountain.
"Something sappy and cute is my guess." King replied.
Eda walked up to the fountain and sees a cat like puppet and it started laughing. "It's alive?!" Lucas shrieked.
"What do you want with Luz?" Eda asked.
"It's not her I want. I want you to suffer Eda." The puppet said before it laughed like an asylum inmate. Eda tossed the puppet to the ground and Lucas sprayed the puppet with some pepper spray.
"We need to hurry up and find your sister." Eda said as she gets on her staff along with King and Lucas, then flew off.
While they were flying towards Luz's location, Eda looks at Lucas who had a concern look on his face. "You okay Lucas?" Eda asked. "You seem more protective over Luz?"
"Well it's a long story, I made a promise that I look after her." Lucas said.
"Who did made that promise to?" King asked.
"My dad." Lucas replied. "I don't want to talk about it."
"Good because I found Luz." Eda said as she pointed to Luz being tied up by blue energy ropes, with her is an octopus with the old wizard, a fairy, hunky soldier, and cat people puppets attached to its tentacles. "Adegast!" Eda shouted as she, King and Lucas flew and landed on the ground.
"That's Adegast?! He's a land squid!" Lucas exclaimed.
"That's right. She's been steeling my business from me. So I took her student from her." Adegast said right before the tentacles grabs the three.
"Let us go you jerk!" Lucas shouted.
"Take me but leave the kids out of this!" Eda protested.
"I'll let them go. But I decided to give Luz a fantasy." Adegast said as he had his cat puppet spray blue mist around Luz.
"Luz! It's not real! I'm sorry for not believing in your dreams!" Lucas shouted as he was being squeezed. "I want to support you and be by your side! If we make it out alive, I want to learn how to make potions! That's a promise!"
"It's not real!" Luz shouted as she sliced and stabbed all of the puppets attached to the tentacles with a toy sword. With each puppet's defeat Adegast screams in pain. Luz then kicked the sword into Adegast's head causing him to shrink down to the size of a regular octopus, while releasing his grip on Eda, Lucas and King. The four walked towards Adegast and glared at him.
"It's over Squidward." Lucas said as he stomped onto Adegast, killing him with one stomp.
"Did you really mean you want to learn potions?" Eda asked.
"Yes I really do. You're right I wont survive on pepper spray, tear gas and smoke bombs." Lucas said.
"Great now I have two students." Eda said right before she grabs Adegast's dead body and eats it whole, while the Noceda twins cringe in disgust. "What wanted that?"
"Can we just go home?" Luz looked down in sadness.
"Hey Luz, did you hear me on the whole learning potions with Eda?" Lucas asked.
"Yeah that's great." Luz sighed but not paying attention. "Look I'm glad you're supporting my dreams, but I just wanted to feel special."
"I understand Luz. But you know I wasn't special back home too." Lucas stated. "You're not going to quit are you?"
"This place isn't what I imagined it to be." Luz said.
"You guys come with me." Eda said.
Eda, Kng, Luz and Lucas all flew up in the sky on Eda's staff, but the twins are blindfolded. "Ok you guys can take your blindfolds off." Eda said right when the Noceda twins took their blindfolds off and they see the corpse of the Titan during a sunset. "The bones of the Isls. Up close, the Isles can be slimy-"
"And very stinky." King added.
"And Gross. But if you look at it from the different perspective." Eda said.
"Beautiful." Luz finished.
"It looks amazing." Lucas added as well.
"Yeah." King said as he leaned against Luz.
"Eda, how did you know that wizard was lying?" Luz asked.
"Yeah, I want to know too." Lucas said.
"Look kids. Everyone wants to believe they're "chosen." But if all waited around for a prophecy to make us special, we'd die waiting. And that's why you need to yourself." Eda explained.
"Does this mean you'll give me a magic staff of my own?" Luz asked.
"Not yet. But someday." Eda said. "You two have a lot to learn about magic and such."
"Wait am I going to get a magic staff too?" Lucas asked.
"Seems like a good option for you since you'll learn potions." Eda said as they continued to watch the sunset. Luz then leaned against Eda as she smiled.
