A\N: I've decided to do two more chapters (this one and an epilogue), they will be short but this story will be done by Monday at the earliest. I hope you enjoy, Angels.

NCISNCISCISNCIS

Two weeks.

Two weeks was how long his and Ellie's unit had given his team to find her killer before they did themselves (himself included).

Gibbs and the rest of them caught her killer two days after the two week order, much to the displeasure of Tony (who wanted to join his brothers on the manhunt for his sister's killer).

The man who raped and killed Ellie was Brookes Carter, a dishonoured marine who Tony and Ellie both knew, who they served with their first two years when they were in the Corps.

It took Gibbs and Balboa to hold Tony back when McGee and Ziva came back to headquarters, escorting Carter through the bullpen.

He was standing in observation, glaring at Carter through the one way mirror, with both Ziva and McGee's hands on his shoulders as Gibbs and Jenny interrogated him. "He should be dead." The SFA growled.

"Yes, then stuffed and fluffed." Ziva replied. Neither Tony nor McGee corrected her error, it wasn't the time.

"I killed that bitch because her and DiNozzo, that best friend of hers, got me dishonourably discharged. Hunter deserved getting raped and murdered. I'll never forget how she screamed for her best friend to save her as I raped then strangled her. She died screaming for Tony." Carter told Gibbs and Jenny with a sick smile on his face.

A tear made its way down Tony's face as he wrenched his teammates hands off him and he left observation.

He strode into the interrogation room and punched Carter across the face.

"You bastard, me and Ellie did nothing that you didn't deserve! We treated you like a brother!" Tony yelled, Carter stood up from the chair, blood dripping from his broken nose.

"You ruined my life, DiNozzo, I don't care if you loved me or not or treated me like a brother, you and Ellie ruined me." Tony shook his head as he took a deep breath.

"No, Brookes, you ruined your own life the second you started supplying weapons and money to the Taliban. Me and Ellie just found out and reported it. It was because of Hunter that you didn't end up in prison, and it was her who took my gun away when I just wanted to shoot you for it, so if anything you should be thanking Ellie, instead of hating her. You can hate me all you want, but you will never hate her as much as you should hate me because if it were up to me back then, you would've had a firing squad instead of dishonourably discharged." Tony growled as his former brother. He turned away from Carter and met Gibbs' eyes which told him to get out.

"She loved you, DiNozzo and not as a brother anymore, she wanted something more with you, that was why she called you three nights before she died. She wanted to leave the Corps so she could have a life with you. She loved you and she never got to tell you, that is one thing I will always regret, that I took her life before she told you how much she loved you." Carter said softly as Tony reached the door. He looked over his shoulder.

"Rot in hell, Brookes." Was all the heartbroken former Marine said before he left interrogation.

Tony looked down at Ellie, she was covered in a white sheet, her face visible. Ducky had done a good job disguising the bruises on her neck.

"Oh, Hunter, why didn't you tell me sooner?" He asked with a sigh. He wished, not since he had visited Kate when she was in the drawer beside Ellie, that she would open her eyes and talk back to him. "You should've told me over the phone, instead of letting me hear it from Brookes Carter of all people!" Tears slid down his face. "We caught him, Ellie, he's going to spend the rest of his life in Levenworth. I'll make you proud, say hi to Kate for me." He said as he went to pull the sheet back over her face, he paused and stared at her.

"I loved you too, Ellie Hunter, always have, always will, forever." With those words spoken, her leaned down and kissed her cold lips for the first and final time.

He knew that his friendship, and whatever other relationship the people around them wanted to happen, with Ellie had ended with her death, but he also knew that Ellie wouldn't want him to hold onto her death.

"Goodbye, Hunter, Semper Fi." He whispered as he straightened up and covered her back up, closing the door, and left Autopsy without seeing the two figures who were covered in the darkness.

Everyone knew that this last chapter was ending for Tony, but that the book wouldn't close until he had finished the entire book and it began with Ellie Hunter's funeral.

A\N: There is only one more 'chapter' to go. I hope you enjoy this story, my Angels. The epilogue will be Tony saying goodbye to Ellie at her funeral. After this NCIS story, I have a load of The Blacklist stories to do. So keep an eye out for more Keenler.

Happy Sunday, Angels.
