I was starting to get worried that I'd have to call someone, but he finally woke up around noon today. On TV shows, people always wake up so suddenly - they gasp awake, or they wake up screaming - but he didn't do that. I was on the sofa watching TV, and when I glanced over at him, he was watching TV too! I was the one that gasped.
I checked his bandages again, and I was amazed that he hadn't bled through this newest set of bandages. He gave me a look that I couldn't really understand when I told him that, but then he asked if he was naked because I was getting back at him for seeing me naked.
He wasn't - at least, not completely. I had to cut all his clothes off when I patched him up (they were all torn up anyways), but I had left his boxers on.
And I had completely forgotten about him sneaking into my room and watching me sleep. So I spent the next 5 minutes yelling at him for being a creep. He only smirked at me.
I didn't really think about the pain he must have been in until he tried to get up so he could go to the bathroom and he almost passed out. I helped him to the bathroom, and after giving him the strongest pain killers we had in the house (some leftover meds from my wisdom tooth removal a year ago), I stood out in the hallway while he went to the bathroom. I hoped that he wouldn't pass out and I'd have to rescue him. He didn't, thankfully.
It was impossible to ignore that he was absolutely gorgeous, though. Maybe it wouldn't have been so bad if he passed out and I had to rescue him while he was naked…
Oh, and the entire time, we just kind of ignored the fact that he had giant wings on his back. He acted like he didn't have them, so I pretended I didn't see them. Even though I had to pinch myself every few minutes to make sure I hadn't started hallucinating.
After an otherwise uneventful trip to the bathroom, I made us some sandwiches for lunch. He ate SEVEN sandwiches. I guess being asleep for a day and a half will make you hungry.
Then I helped him back to the couch, where he promptly fell back to sleep. I didn't really know what else to do, so I sat back down on the sofa and continued my show.
