Author's note:

I'm gonna be honest. I didn't think this fanfiction was going to become THIS long. I knew it'd end up being long, but 70 Chapters? Dang.

It's just that there's SOOO much to cover. Haha. But I'm sure you're enjoying it and don't mind. After all, you've gotten this far. I'm very thankful for that.
Enjoy!

Chapter 70: A Miscalculation

Scarlet Dimension

Geeta Rojo was having a problem.

Flying away from her Rayquaza-wielding, vengeful enemy was becoming much more difficult. Even despite gaining a considerable distance away from Nemona, Geeta Rojo remained in flight, soaring in the sky with her wings and dodging salvos of Dragon Pulses which flew like several bullets.

The fact that she had to avoid Nemona like this was beginning to make her angry. The sudden building rage within her was no doubt likely due to the fact that the Paradox Drive was giving her power.

An annoying side effect.

A very annoying side effect.

Geeta Rojo pulled out a Poképhone from her pocket and put it to her ear. "Hello?" She said, "Professors, I'm having an issue. Nemona's on my tail and she won't let up."

"What?" Turo's voice came through Geeta Rojo's phone. "We haven't planned for this. You must not engage with the Nemona of your timeline, not until the appointed time."

"I know that-"

"Dragon rage!" Nemona cried. Geeta Rojo turned her head and saw a Dragon Rage attack which flew as an almost laser-like torrent of azure flame. Geeta Rojo twirled her body as she dodged the oncoming attack and darted onward.

"You're not getting away, Rojo!" Nemona roared.

Geeta Rojo gritted her teeth in rage as she turned her head back.

"Do you have any suggestions as to how I should lose her?!" Geeta Rojo said.

"...The Paradox drive is making you-"

"Yeah, I know. You think I want to keep this thing on? "I've tried using Oricalcum Pulse to make the sun blind her, but that Rayquaza she has…!" Geeta Rojo turned her head and saw the Shiny Rayquaza that looked like a golden hologram. "It has a mind of its own!" Geeta Rojo continued. "It sensed me within minutes and continued the chase long after I had first lost her."

"She acquired a Rayquaza…?" Turo said. "When? How?"

"This is what happens when you put all of your eggs in one basket," Geeta Rojo said, raising her voice suddenly. "You morons watched that Violet timeline for so long, that you forgot to look at the possibilities that could come about in this one-"

"Ice beam! Now!"

Geeta Rojo turned her head and glared as she saw an Ice beam flying her way. The woman then spun around, thrusting her open hand at the beam as it made contact with her palm.

She bent her fingers as she grabbed hold of the beam- it was like pushing back a Taros trying to ram into her. The beam collided onto itself and turned into a blue orb, which Geeta Rojo tossed behind her back.

Just then Nemona's Rayquaza slammed head-first onto the evil woman's stomach. Spit flew out of the betrayer's mouth as Rayquaza kept flying.

"How's that, you monster?!" Nemona shouted.

When Geeta Rojo glared, her eyes began to shine with yellow electric-type energy. Her futuristic wing began to shine as well as she grabbed onto the holographic-like form of Rayquaza and sent an electric shock through her palms.

But nothing happened.

"Hyper beam!" Nemona shouted. By the time Geeta Rojo's eyes widened in surprise, Rayquaza pushed its victim off of its head and fired his hyper beam. The beam dragged the evil woman away and carried her far. Far enough for her to fly toward the abandoned main campus building of Naranja academy. As the beam dragged her through the building, Geeta Rojo could see for a fraction of a second, the school rooms and teacher meeting rooms that were in the academy. But as soon as she saw them, the beam carried her out through the other end of the building and onto the school Pokémon battle grounds.

The moment Geeta Rojo and the laser touched ground; a white explosion rose into the air.

Nemona and Rayquaza looked down at the explosion they made, the glow of the explosion reflected off of their eyes. Nemona had a quiet look of disdain on her face as she frowned. Her eyes carried intense hatred for the one for the one she used to idolize.

Geeta Rojo stared at the dust in the air as she groaned with annoyance. Her phone, surprisingly undamaged, remained in her hand. She pressed a button to make the phone go into speaker.

"Come in, Geeta!" Turo cried. There was a slight bit of panic and worry behind the scientist's voice.

The script dictated that she and Nemona were not to fight until her alternate self from the Violet timeline came.

But more and more, Geeta Rojo could feel the effects of the heightened aggression the Paradox Drive gave her…Geeta Rojo began to grit her teeth, so much so that a visible vein appeared on the woman's forehead.

Meanwhile, Nemona's Rayquaza flew and landed on the ground. Nemona herself then leapt and landed with a crouch beside it, raising her golden sword above her head, and then entering a battle stance as she rose up.

In the dust cloud she created, Nemona could see Geeta Rojo's silhouette. Yellow and blue Electricity sparked around the white dust cloud before it cleared instantaneously, as though a sudden gust of wind had blown it away.

An aura of yellow, electric type energy followed by red sparks of fighting type energy surged around the now standing Geeta Rojo's body, whose eyes were covered by shadow.

"Do not engage with Nemona!"

Geeta Rojo could hear Turo's alarmed voice through the phone despite not having it to her ear.

"Do not engage!" Turo continued.

Geeta Rojo dropped her Poképhone.

"I repeat, do no-"

Geeta Rojo stomped on the phone violently, causing it to break into tiny pieces. All of the anger that she felt at that moment began to rise even more within her at that moment.

Nemona silently raised her blade and pointed it at her enemy, and Rayquaza moved- slithering around both trainers and forming a ring around them both with its body.

"You're trapped now," Nemona said.

Geeta Rojo's anger was rising to new levels, but it paled in comparison to how much anger she felt when she was humiliated by Nemona.

Yes. That time when she was humiliated. When Nemona told her that she held back.

The guilt and pain over her previous actions had caused her to put that thought at the back of her mind. But now, it was at the forefront. The reason why she chose to have this power, the reason why she let Paldea fall.

It was so she could make Nemona suffer.

Geeta Rojo's face twisted into a sadistic grin before she hunched her back and lowered her head to look at the ground and her arms, which hung below her like pieces of string.

That was when she started to laugh. Her shoulders bobbed up and down as she did. Then, she raised one hand onto her face as her laughter grew more hideous, more malevolent.

It was enough to make Nemona almost take a step back.

"I'm not the one who's trapped! You are!" Geeta Rojo said. Geeta Rojo lowered her raised hand and glared at Nemona with intense hatred. "You shouldn't have come here. This is my territory!"

Geeta Rojo let out a furious scream, and her aura expanded. The sun above their heads began to glare brightly- and blue electricity radiated from the woman's futuristic wing and sparked outward.

The wild gusts of wind blew past Nemona, and she didn't look the slightest bit intimidated as she held her sword close to her chest.

After finishing her roar, Geeta Rojo let out an exhale, a puff of white smoke came out of her mouth as though she were in the winter cold.

Both trainers rushed at each other. Nemona carried discipline with every step, rushing forward like a master swordsman while Geeta Rojo ran like an unhinged maniac.

Violet Timeline

Turo slammed his fists onto a wooden table in front of him.

"What do we do!?" Turo cried. Both he and his counterpart were in their lab. The giant monitor in front of them was showing Kai and Nemona's training. Sada paced back and forth while Turo glared furiously, thinking of slamming his fists on the table once more.

"All of our work will go to waste if we don't call the Geeta in this dimension now…" Sada said. "We need to call her."

"But calling her now goes against the script! Geeta is supposed to notice Nemona's power while she practices with Kai-"

"We don't have a choice!" Sada cried. "Call her. I'll keep watch of Kai and Nemona's training.

Turo slammed his fists on the table again and pulled out his phone.

"Hello?" Turo said, walking away from Sada. "Yes, Geeta. It's Turo. This is an emergency."

Sada closed her eyes and frowned, clenching both fists tightly as she looked on to watch Nemona and Kai's training session.

"You can do it, Kai!" Nemona shouted.

"Yeah- you're almost there!" Aeon shouted.

"You're actually doing really well..!" Arven said.

"I'm doing it..! I'm doing it!" Kai cried- he was in so much joy that his eyes were glistening with tears.

He was doing what he previously thought was impossible.

Have a staring contest with Greavard for five minutes straight without screaming like a little baby.

The whole time, Greavard was just happy to be there, letting its tongue hang as it panted and stared at his trainer.

"And…TIME!" Aeon pulled out Greavard's Pokéball and returned the Ghost dog into it. Kai let out a breath of relief as he fell onto the ground on his rear.

"Oh man...That was rough.." Kai groaned.

"But you're doing better." Aeon said.

"Before, you weren't able to be near the little guy without squealing," Nemona said. "Now you're able to last a whole five minutes! We're making progress!"

"I gotta admit, it is pretty impressive," Arven said, crossing his arms.

"So, what do you think?" Aeon said, "Think you're ready to Tera fuse with him?"

"I wouldn't go that far-wait...Actually…" Kai bent his pointer finger and rubbed it under his lower lip. "I don't know."

"Y'know," Aeon smiled and put one hand on his hip, "It'd really impress me if you were able to Tera Fuse with Greavard."

"Oooh- really?"

"Yeah, really." Aeon smiled and winked, "Maybe I'll give you a tiny reward if you manage to do it."

"Oooooh- I love me some motivation…! But at the same time… Ugh- I don't know …Gah- forget it! Let that Pokémon out of its ball!"

Aeon chuckled a bit and dropped the Pokeball. Out of it came Greavard, jumping for joy and approaching Kai immediately, inching toward his trainer's feet and looking up at him.

"Y-You…" Kai shivered a bit. "Are- just…l-like-...a-...normal…Dog Pokémon…R-Right?"

Kai activated his invoker armor, and his body shone for a moment before he became clad in said armor. The trainer then went on one knee, while still shivering and pulled out a Tera orb from his pocket.

"O-Okay… Uh-..N-Nice…doggy…" Kai reached his shaking hand over to Greavard. "N-Nice….D-Doggy…who…is…bound…to F-Follow me…f-For… the…rest…of… my li-...life.."

Kai's hand trembled as he managed to put his hand on the ghost dog's head. Greavard's tail wagged with delight.

Then, Kai crushed the Tera orb. A geyser of white light exploded from below both of their feet, and the Terestialization sigil appeared on the geyser. Then- the geyser faded…

Revealing Kai wielding a shovel.

His armor shone with a crystalline purple, representing the ghost type energy surging within.

"You did it!" Nemona shouted.

"Nice job!" Arven shouted.

Aeon ran over to Kai and hugged him. "You did great!" Aeon shouted. He and Kai laughed as Aeon pulled away. Both boys closed their eyes and kissed one another before pulling away once again.

"Did you like your reward?" Aeon said.

"Yup," Kai said, winking. "I'll try to get some more later,"

"Kai!" Nemona shouted. "We've gotta try out your new Tera fusion! I'm just iching to find out what you and Grevard can do!"

"Okay! But on one condition!" Kai cried, taking a step away from his boyfriend, raising a finger and then pointing it at his rival. "Don't hold back."

"What?" Nemona said, tilting her head.

"Don't. Hold. Back." Kai said. "You heard me."

"Ohh…Kai, Kai, Kai.." Nemona said, putting her hands on her hips and shaking her head. She spoke like a teacher about to lecture her student, but couldn't hide her wide, excited smile.

"What's up? Are you afraid that I'll start catching up sooner than you thought?"

"Afraid? Heck no. I'm just making sure you know…" Nemona's smile deepened. "That you wouldn't last five seconds."

"Ohoho- is that a challenge?" Kai said. "Because I think you know how I feel about challenges."

"All right- I'll ask one more time… Are you sure you want me to fight you at full power? Because- once I go all out, It'll be harder and harder for me to stop."

"What if I don't want you to stop?"

"Oh, you want to know what'll happen-"

"Oh, just FIGHT already!" Arven shouted. Aeon started snickering.

Meanwhile, far far away, Kai's Bombirdier watched everyone from afar with the last Herba Mystica in his mouth. He was thinking about giving it to his trainer, since he had become at least a little more powerful than before.

Maybe if Aeon wasn't around... He'd drop it on hs trainer's head. He decided that he would drop it on Kai's face when Aeon left...if he would leave.

Meanwhile, An Annihilape looked up at Kai's Bombirdier that flew above its head. It was twitching with rage and held a rock in its hand.
