Comforting A Dark Lady of the Sith

Disclaimer: I only own Phoenix Kitsune Moonlight. General Grievous belongs to George Lucas.

Grievous stood in front of the door to Phoenix's room

He rubbed the back of his metallic neck, wondering if he should check up on her, or let her be.

He knocked on the wooden surface to hear a voice behind it. "Who is it?"

"Phoenix it's me, may I come in?"

"Just a minute."

Sounds of rattling filled his ears. What is she doing in there? Grievous thought to himself.

A minute had passed since that exchanging of words.

"Come in."

Turning the doorknob, opening the door and let himself in. When he entered her room, he could see that she almost had all her stuff box up.

"Hey Phoenix, I've come to check up on you, how are you feeling?"

"What do you think?"

"I know what you're going through,"

"How do you what I been through?" The werefox snarled at him.

He didn't blame her for being in such a foul mood. After all she just lost her beloved viceroy, the one alien that meant the world to her.

The Kaleesh cyborg thought for a while, finding a way of making her understand, that's when he thought about his past back on Kalee, before his transformation of the being he is now.

"How would you like to hear a story?"

"A story about what?" said Phoenix, giving her apprentice a puzzled look.

"About how I became this..." Grievous said gesturing to his body.

"If it will get my mind off of things, then sure."

Before he begins, he took a seat on his master's bed in a confortable position, crossing his legs.

After a while Grievous finished his story, he patted a hand on the bed, beckoning her, to set beside him. He wrapped an arm around her waist, pulling her close to him, placing her small frame against his chest, the other arm finding its way horizontally between her midsection and her right shoulder, resting his chin on her left shoulder.

She felt safe in his cacoon like embrace.

"Grievous, can you stay with me tonight?"

"Don't you have to go to Cato Nemoidia?"

"I've decided not to go til morning."

He carefully turned his body around, scooting himself til his back reached the wooden bed frame, the softened pillows supported it.

He could feel his master snuggled deep into his chest, her grief must of drained her of her energy, he was wondering, why his metallic frame wasn't affecting her.

Grievous noticed that morning was quickly approaching, as he looked out the window. Even though, it was hard to let his master go, it had to be done.

He was contemplating if he should wake Phoenix up or let her sleep a little longer.
